3. Research
• It was helpful to know what had been done before and what fits with the
genre, this was good to I know how to make my song different while still
fitting with the rest of the genre. research helped me actually create my
song, while creating the beat I listened to a lot of avicii songs and martin
Garrix songs to listen out for that pulsely beat they use. I managed to
narrow it down to kicks three beats apart with a snare on every other kick
to add that clap sound then a closed hihat sound in between each kick.
Also while researching how different aspects of the song are made I
discovered it is very difficult to make this type of music, so I decided to
switch styles to Lo-Fi(low fidelity). Lo-Fi is generally of a lower quality so it
was a lot easier to make
4. Planning
1. I didn’t plan much at all and it just happened to work out, however it
would have been beneficial to have planed out my product more, it
would have saved a lot of time, however I was learning a new software
and getting familiar with it which couldn’t have been avoided because I
was trying do some thing I had no experience in to broaden my
possibilitys to give me more range for my F.M.P
5. Time Management
• I think in the project my time management was quite good as I never ran
over to another week to complete work, all power points was started and
finished the week they was set. My finished product was also finished in
the allocated week despite having Thursday of that week off
6. Technical Qualities

DWWU
My product is very similar to old memories by
“weak head” in the fact they have a similar style
with the beat with piano over the top, how ever
their beat is more prominent then the piano
where as mine is the opposite. Another point is
that they have static in theirs where I have rain,
they also use a wider range of instruments like
bass and saxophone, there is also ticking clock
heard through the song
7. Aural Qualities
my song for the most part was made by me, I made the beat and the piano part.
However my song does not fit with the other songs of the same genre because my
tempo is 130 bpm where the standard is 90 bpm, so mine is a lot faster, also my piano
is a lot louder the beat and the rain which makes it sound weird. If I had time to go
back and edit it I would make the piano only marginally louder then the rain. I would
have also liked to have added female vocals over the top or a speech or sceen
8. Audience Appeal
The type of music that I chose to do is often used to study to which fits with my
target audience(14-24) because this age range takes a lot of exams between
secondary school, college and then university,
