3. RESEARCH
For my research, I listened to different radio shows related to
my chosen theme, music, to see how they spoke and/or what
they speak about. There weren’t many radio shows I could find
that were both related to music as well as being for my
intended audience. From my research, I got an idea as to what I
wanted to talk about as well as the music I wanted to include. .
These types of research were helpful because they gave me an
idea as to what would work best for my product as well as what
my audience would like for my product to be. By researching
these different kinds of radio shows, I was able to get a good
idea as to how I wanted my audio to sound like.
4. PLANNING
For my planning, I researched into different radio shows that
were linked with the theme of music. By researching these
different radio shows, I was able to decide how I wanted my
audio to be set out e.g. how it would start and how it would
end. If I could improve my planning I would have gone into
more detail about the types of radio shows I was researching
and why I chose them specifically. I would also go into more
detail about how my audience would react if they were to listen
to my radio show like this or one similar.
5. TIME MANAGEMENT
I think that I managed my time well. I think that if I had
additional time to edit my audio, I’d be able to improve it
greatly. Overall I think that most of my time was spent on my
experiments, rather than my actual final product. I spent more
time on my experiments because the audio kept messing up so
I had to keep re doing it until it sounded right. If I had
additional time to improve my work in any way, I would spread
out the amount of time I had to make sure I got everything I
wanted done. This could have improved my work and made it
better.
6. TECHNICAL QUALITIES
I think that my final product
and the already existing
product are quite similar.
This is because they are both
themed around the same
thing, which is music. I
wasn’t sure about what radio
shows talked about, so I did
some research and took
inspiration from a radio
broadcast that talks about
music. This helped to figure
out what I wanted to write
and how I wanted everything
to be set out. There aren’t
much differences between my
product and the already
existing one. This is because
all radio broadcasts are quite
similar.
7. AURAL QUALITIES
I think that my overall work sounds good. There are
some points in which you can hear slight background
noise. I also like how the music fades out at the start so
you are able to hear the audio clearly. If I could improve
my audio I would have also included additional sound
effects to make it seem more entertaining to listen to. I
also could have done additional research to make sure I
knew I was certain about what I was going to talk about. I
could have done this by creating a questionnaire to ask
questions to my intended audience about what would
work best such as music, sound effects etc…
8. AUDIENCE APPEAL
I think that my product appeals well to my audience. My intended
audience is for young adults/adults and I think that the way I have
presented my product e.g. the audio, music and sound effects I’ve
included. If I had additional time I could have made a
questionnaire to help me decide what I would want my audio to
sound like as well as any music I use. This would have helped me
find out what my audience would have liked to hear with my audio.
And by doing this I would have been able to improve my work and
make it better.
10. FEEDBACK 1
What did you like about the product?
I like the music you’ve chosen as background music, as well as intro
and outro music. It’s good since it’s relatively new.
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
You could’ve have made the background music a little quieter since
you aren’t able to hear all the audio at some points.
11. FEEDBACK 2
What did you like about the product?
I like the choice of music you used for the start and end of the radio
show.
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
The background music could have gone over the audio, to make it
seem a bit more interesting to listen to. Rather than just having it
play at the start and end.
12. FEEDBACK 3
What did you like about the product?
I like the overall audio. I also like the information that’s in your audio.
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
The background music could have gone over the audio, to make it
seem a bit more interesting to listen to.
13. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
I agree with all of the feedback that I have been given. I think that if I
put music in the background of my audio it would have made it more
entertaining to listen to. I also think that the music I chose was good
because it was by an artist that a lot of people are familiar with, so
they would automatically know the song.
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
I don’t disagree with any of the feedback I have been given.
14. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
If I were to make an additional changes to my final audio, I would
have included sound effects to make it sound more interesting
and entertaining to listen to. There isn’t much else that I would
do to make my final product sound better, I think that the only
problem was that it sounded a bit boring. I also could’ve had the
music at the start and end play through the whole of the audio.
Or I could have had another song play as background music, so
the audio isn’t just playing by itself. I don’t that there is much
that is needed to be improved since you are able to clearly hear
the audio as well as the music.
