2. WHAT TYPES OF IDEAS DO YOU HAVE FOR
YOUR VIDEO ?
Narrative
The song that I have selected doesn’t ,although it is a rap genre it will be hard to portray the song.
Since there isn't any music video around it , making a storyline would be hard since the lyrics are
erratic.
Concept
I would like to start the music 1 minute or so later ,as there would be various concepts and
introduction to the video such as the sound and aesthetic of the song e.g. landscapes, angles,
developing characterisation in the video as opposed on the storyline.
Good features of the song:
• The lyrics are at a quick pace to show tempo for a rap song, as I luckily know the lyrics for the
song
• There is no existing video as this means there will be a lot of interpretations and annotations to
be filled.
3. SONG THAT I HAVE CHOSEN
• What the song will be?
• I have decided the song will range between either rap music or either a trap song, concluding to two songs that I have chosen which is
• Walk with the elephants –which is a song, based on base mostly however there are lyrics for the song and I believe it can suit with my genre for my mu sic video
which is HIP-HOP.
• Look like- although the song above is a better option for me I also had a backup song just in case if the other option won’t work out as “look like” is a trap song
and more complex but possible to portray it and if done properly it will pan out decently.
•
•
• I chose both of these songs specifically because it suits our target audience and can engage audience significantly in my opi nion as people can relate in
some sort to the music video that will/is made.
•
• What I know about these songs is that they both are similar beat wise and can match it with my music video since I like to ed it beat by beat depending on
the tempo of the music.
•
• I have found an existing video with the music for “look like”
•
• However I couldn’t find a music video for “walk with elephants” which is good since I can advance creatively for my video.
