1. Formal Proposal: Advergame
Working title
‘Super Diet Coca Cola’.
Target Platform
The media that the advergame is targeted
towards is on the internet and on IOS Apple.
Genre
The media product appears to be in the form of
an advergame: a way of advertisement that is
promoted in a digital and visual way.
Language/Territories
It should be released globally all over the world,
there should be no offences brought, but instead
should bring interest and consideration of
playing this game. It should set out a clear and
unambiguous message, to free everyone from
sugar and find a drink more suitable. From the
perspective of the advergame, it should not be
unsuitable for cultures worldwide.
2. Synopsis/Treatment/Story/How the game plays
The synopsis revolves around Diet Coca cola, and
how it is free from sugar and shouldn’t put any
fat upon those who drink it. The message is
unambiguous, it tries to set out a clear note to
the world that diet coca cola frees them from a
negative dietary. The main message would be
that of ‘Diet coca cola: protector from the
sugars.
One line sales pitch
Diet Coca Cola: The drink that contains no sugar
and calories, and you can still enjoy the taste of
the original Coca Cola.
Style (Similar products and graphics style)
The original Coca cola is a similar product to
that of Diet Coca Cola, the only exception is the
excluded sugar and calories to make less
fattening. I used it for inspiration because it is
popular, someone everyone enjoys. The art style
and convention is similar, but a little change to
the colour scheme, in Diet coca cola, the main
colour is silver and the logo is red.
3. Audience
The audience is that of the age group of 16-
19years, since coca cola is a drink that teenagers
love to consume. Diet coca cola has no fat, so it
shouldn’t be a problem for Type 2 diabetics.
Legal and Ethical Considerations
In regards to material, there should be no
offence brought forward, for it is against the ASA
Codes. No lying or forcing for young children is
allowed, as well as social groups should not be
offended because the advergame will be
programed for everyone to enjoy not to be
offended. I will ensure no offending will come
through because I will recheck multiple times
before released. The game uses the name of Diet
Coca Cola, and the characters are all homemade
from scratch, however inspired by realistic
objects.
In regards to Copyright, the game should not
include copyright for the images will be self-
drawn not copied. I will achieve this by making
sure that no images from the internet are copied
onto the game.
