The preschoolers will be reading the story "Whatever Next" by Jill Murphy about a bear going to the moon, singing the rhyme "5 Little Men in a Flying Saucer", and practicing ball skills by kicking and catching balls. Parents are encouraged to read "Whatever Next" with their child at home and sing the rhyme of the week, using fingers to represent numbers. There will also be parent interviews the week of March 6th and the preschool requests Active Kids vouchers from Sainsbury's shoppers.

1. Spring Term 27th
Feb-10th
March
Dear Parents,
Activities we will be doing in Preschool:
Reading the story of ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy. This is a story
about a little bear who goes to the moon…or is it just his imagination?
Singing our rhyme of the week which is ‘5 little men in a flying saucer’
Practising our ball skills as we try first of all to kick them and then
catch them.
Activities to do at home with your child:
Read ‘Whatever Next.’ if you don’t have your own copy try a visit to
the library. Our libraries are a wonderful, free resource and great for
encouraging an early love of books and reading.
Sing our rhyme of the week, encouraging your child to use their
fingers to represent the numbers as the space men fly away. If you
don’t know the rhyme try looking it up on You tube where there is a
lovely animated version.
Notices:
Remember parent interviews during week beginning 6th
March. If you
haven’t yet made an appointment please speak to a member of staff.
If you shop at Sainsbury’s please collect Active Kids vouchers for us.
Thank you
