1. Evaluation of Task 7.
• Through completing this research I have found that they genders I asked were almost equal
however there were slightly more females who participated in this research.
• I also asked people for their ages and the 6 sections of the pie chart were almost equal, this
shows that I have chosen an equal amount of each of the ages to consolidate my research
on, it is an accurate and representative sample due to is range in age and gender.
• As I had previously expected, there were more people who did not listen to classical music,
than people who did. I found that the respondents of an older age tended to listen to my
genre of music more than younger ages. This tells me that I should make use of a
sophisticated theme running throughout the music magazine (Cover, contents page, double
page spread etc).
• The respondents were predominantly White British which I found was typical of the target
audience I wished to aim my magazine at.
• The majority of the people I asked felt that it was appropriate to have solo artists feature
within the magazine whether they are already famous or not, of which resembles my
existing plan to include the solo artist Katherine Jenkins.
• I also found that the demand for a person for the main image to smile was far greater than
those who preferred the person to not smile. From this I feel that it would be appropriate to
include the image of myself however pretending that I am singing, this is therefore fulfilling
the demand of my respondents which means that the demand for the magazine would be
higher.
• The price stated on my magazine will be £1.50 as there was almost 75% of the people
questioned who would have been willing to pay that much for the magazine. I feel that this
is a typical price of many magazines such as ‘Heat’ ‘Closer’ etc.
