Questionnaire

The Questionnaire
            This questionnaire was given
to 50 student to fill in. The
            large field group allows me
            to obtain more specific
results as there would be a
            more consistent view on this
            topic and would therefore be
            more suited to a larger
            population of people. This
            ensures that the readers of
            my music magazine are
            more trusting in its contents
and also the contents will be
            something that they would
            want as well.
Deductions
The Majority of the people that I asked
wanted the music magazine to be based
on indie music. This is shown in the
graph as the pale blue colour, and the
second most favoured genre of music
         was Pop music.

         My deductions from the questionnaire
         regarding musicians shows that the
Arctic Monkeys is the most preferred
band from the suggestions of my peers.
Further Deductions
From this pie chart, I can see that my peers mostly favour
NME magazine which suggests that I should try and liken
my own to that magazine as this is the type of audience that
I would like to reach. Also it shows that the content should
be more versatile as a large group of people that I asked also
      read Rolling Stones.

As the majority of the people asked preferred a music
magazine to be monthly, it suggests that this is the best
way for an audience to receive their information as it is
      all there in one place

The range of prices that were given to my peers
suggests that they mostly buy magazines that are
       around £4.20.
Overall
Overall, the choices that I have made from these questions are as follows:
 The type of music that was more preferred was Indie music, but there was also a
large amount of people that liked listening to Pop music. This is another way in
which I can increase the range of my audience.
 Having a large range of content within the music magazine so as to appeal to a
larger audience; for instance, having content on upcoming artists as well as big artist
that are already around.
 NME and Rolling Stones were the much preferred music magazines for my peers,
thus giving me more incentive to include content of events, upcoming artists and
those that are already heard.
 Monthly magazines were more favoured than daily of weekly music magazines.
This allows me to increase the content of the magazine.
 Lastly, the price that most people would be willing to pay for a magazine is £4.20.
This shows that the majority of people that would appeal to this magazine, have no
problem spending this much money per issue.
