Q1 Result analysis
It is very clear from the questionnaire that the most popular genre of
music is pop therefore the magazine I am going to create will be a pop
magazine. I myself am also a big fan of pop music and have some
background information on pop music. I regularly read and purchase
pop magazines from shops therefore I understand the conventions
that should be included in a pop magazine. RnB and Rock were also
sufficiently popular, both receiving 2 votes each however they did not
receive as many as pop. I believe the most popular type of music in this
society is pop music and this is reflected in the questionnaire.
Q2
Q2 Result Analysis
From question number two, asking how they listen to your music the
results show iPods are the most common way of listening to music.
Radios, speakers and online all received some votes, followed by
iPhone and then the top result was iPods. This has given me a clearer
insight into what the most common device is that people use to listen
to their specific type of music. I pads were not very popular which may
be due to their size and weight which would make it inconvenient for
people to carry them around with them when wanting to listen to
music.
Q3
Q3 Result Analysis
After studying question 3, who is your favourite artist/band many
observations can be made. The people who voted for pop as their
favourite genre of music chose a pop artist as their favourite artist.
For example, Ella’s favourite genre is pop and her favourite artist is
pop singer, Beyoncé. In contrast to this, Helens favourite band is U2
which is reflected by her favourite genre of music, Rock. It is clear the
genre of music usually determines the type of artist or band that
person likes. In teen magazines found in most shops, many of the
artists the people who filled out the questionnaires mentioned are
included therefore I will take this into consideration and link them into
my magazine I will be creating.
Q4
Q4 results analysis
I asked what specific things the person answering the questionnaire
would like to be included in their magazine in question 4. Interviews
and upcoming events appeared to be very popular with equally the
most votes. Following on from this, exclusive pictures and facts
followed on from this. The least popular was advice with no votes and
quizzes received 3 votes. Using this data, I am going to include a
small quiz in my magazine, have a section for upcoming events, a
page for interview and add facts and exclusive pictures.
Q5
In my questionnaire, I asked how much people would pay for a music
magazine. The most popular price was between £1-£3 with 70% of
people saying this followed by £3-5 and then £1< and nobody from
the pole said they would pay over £5 for a music magazine.
Therefore, taking this into consideration, the price of my magazine
will be based on these results and most likely will be £3.

Q6 Results Analysis
For question 6, the people had to answer what age they are and it is
clear the majority are aged 15-17 years old. Only one person was
aged 45-54. I knew what target audience in terms of genre I wanted
therefore sent the questionnaire to a number of students who fall
into this category. In addition to this, I found it really helpful to
receive results from people of this age range because when I am
creating my magazine, I can take this into consideration.
Q7
The final question I asked was what gender the person who filled the
questionnaire out was. Only one person who filled the questionnaire
was a male, despite the other males I sent the questionnaire to. This
implies men do not really show much interest into music magazines.
On the other hand, 10 females answered the questionnaire which
shows me they are more keen and would be willing to purchase or
read the magazine I will be creating. The fact that they got involved
by putting time aside and answering the questions on the
questionnaire I created is great and this is why my magazine will be
created with females in mind and the specific target audience.
