Audience research

  1. 1. Audience Research
  2. 2. My research shows that my responses are relevant as 66.52% of them were female, which is my target audience.
  3. 3. My responses show that that response is relevant to my magazine as 62.50% of the responses are 16 or under, which again matches my target audience.
  4. 4. What type of music magazines do you like read? • My responses for question 3 varied as it was an open question so the public could write their own answers. • Some of the responses showed specific magazines such as Kerrang and , however I received feedback explaining that people like the information inside the magazine such as: • “Ones with lots of tour and event dates and interviews with artists I enjoy. Especially local music/events.” • This could be something I could take in consideration when it comes to my contents page.
  5. 5. For question 4, my responses match my target audience again as it shows that the most favoured music type is Pop Charts.
  6. 6. My responses show that the most people pay over £3.00 for a magazine so this gives me an idea that I think for my magazine I’d price it for about £3.00.
  7. 7. The responses on this question show that people like magazines for different reasons so I would like to take this into consideration when doing my covers. For the cover I could use an image of a well known band as the main image to grab the viewers attention followed by a good story, people would actually like to read.
  8. 8. The responses on this question tell me what type of music magazines people like, so I can now look into their magazines are look at their layout, and what type of stories they cover to try fit it into my magazine.
