It discusses strengths and weaknesses in the areas of research, planning, time management, technical qualities, aesthetic qualities, and audience appeal. The author also provided their magazine to three peers for feedback and summarized what they agreed and disagreed with from the feedback received.
3. Research
• Strengths
– Got to see what other people did to there magazines both covers and double page
spread.
Weaknesses
A main weakness of my research would be that I only used google as my only source
of information.
4. Planning
• Strengths
– I had a good general idea when it came to planning although once I had one idea I just
stuck with that as I couldn’t think of any more.
Weaknesses
I feel like I could’ve come up with some more ideas instead of going with my first one.
5. Time Management
• Strengths
– I managed my time well as I managed to get everything done in 2 days and I still had 6
days left until I had to complete it.
Weaknesses
I believe I could’ve taken more time into doing what I was doing but overall it
was meant to be simplistic and well it came out looking like that so im happy.
6. Technical Qualities
Similarities:
Both are near enough minimalistic
Both have almost the same colour pallet
Both have a quote
Different size text.
Differences:
Background colour
One is close up and the other is a medium
shot.
Title is in different place
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I believe my work looks good. I feel like the idea I was going for really came out and it looks
exactly as I intended although some things I did change as it didn’t look right at the
beginning. The main thing that I like with my magazine is the way I blended the pictures of
Charlie puth both into the double page spread and also the front cover. The main reasons to
why it looks so good is due to the camera raw feature I went through a lot of changing and
also I was going to have him in black and white in the double page spread.
8. Audience Appeal
I think personally that the big text on both the front cover and also on the double page spread
really stands out and gets everyones eyes staring to the main part of the pages. I also think that I
managed to let the belongers fit into Charlie puths community as that’s what my main goal was
to do.
