2. Process
• When I started making my experiment I set the page to
a double page (420x297). I then imagined how I wanted
my magazine to actually look. To achieve this look I also
my inspiration from actual magazines and my research. I
started by using the ruler tool to play a 1cm boarder
around the whole page and centre. I then placed filler
boxes which I would later change for actual images and
text, I used the rectangular marquee tool to achieve
this. I then started filling in the images which I found on
google images, for my experiment I made the page
about Pokémon. I then went on to enter the heading
and filler text which I did by using the horizontal type
tool. Sa you can see the quote on the top of the left
hand page has a black box with a blending tool so you’re
still able to see the image through the block. I then
finally added the page numbers and magazine website
to the bottom of the magazine which I again used the
horizontal text tool.
3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
I will include every element I have used during the experiment. I shall use different
layouts and designs along side this one however I shall use the colour from the images
of each page and that pages main colour as seen in the experiment. I will add more
detail to my final major project than I did on my experiment. I know that I will add
more layout, detail and different colours. I will use the same layout as its simple to
navigate and read yet its seemingly professional at the same time. I’m hoping this will
attract my target audience as I used elements from a real life popular anime magazine,
furthermore I shall include the anime which the audience are interested in which I
know from my audience research.
