2. A- ANALYSE
LEARNERS
The analysis of the learners is very similar to
before. This is a first grade class full of children
that suffer from mild to severe ADHD. The class is
mostly Caucasian with some Latino and African
American. This is widely normal in the areas of
West Virginia that I wish to teach in. There are
almost even amounts of males and females so I
will have to find a neutral way to teach these
lessons.
3. S- STATE OBJECTIVES
The lesson that I have is the months of the year to
these children. The objective is to find a way to
integrate many activities that keep the children
energized and engaged. As soon as I do something
that doesn’t entertain them I will lose them and
they will lose the lesson.
4. S-SELECT METHODS,
MEDIA, AND MATERIAL
I’m going to use the new tools that we have learned in class
to teach these kids.
Media- I want to use a video that goes into holidays so that
the children can get a feel for each month. I would also use a
matching game on a smart board to help them match
seasons to the months. Also a tag like game with the months
of the year
Material- Coloring sheets associating months with the
seasons they are in, a smart board, play ground, and
YouTube.
5. U-UTILIZE MEDIA &
MATERIAL
The game of tag is that you divide the children up and give
each one a month. You may have to do it in two groups. Then
It’s a game of tag where January is it first and then they have
to tag the next month and so on and so forth.
I want to watch a video on YouTube that goes over the major
national holidays. That way the children can see what
months contain national holidays and associate with them.
The coloring sheet is going to be a list of all the months.
Then they will have four color pencils. Then they have to
color all the months of each season with a specific color.
6. R- REQUIRE LEARNER
PARTICIPATION
The children will be able to participate in all of
these activities. The only way they will be able to
get out of one is if they have a physical handicap
that does not allow them to play tag. They will
receive feedback from me and their classmates
after each of these activities.
7. E-EVALUATE & REVISE
All of my activities are pretty well thought out.
They are meant to engage the children so that they
stay entertained. It also keeps them moving so
there minds stay focused on having fun and
learning and not about the fact that they are in
school
