The document provides an evaluation of Matthew's final product magazine. Strengths included thorough research that provided ideas, using a mind map to plan content, and managing time well to complete the project on schedule. Weaknesses were a lack of variety in research sources and not putting enough detail on the mind map. Peer feedback suggested improving page borders and adding more writing detail, while Matthew agreed borders could be more colorful but disagreed more writing was needed.
3. Research
β’ My strengths of my research is that it was easy to research because there
is lots of magazines that are similar to my product, by the theme having
being the same for a lot of magazines, and the design of the front cover
being the same for a lot of them as well. This help me create my product
by giving me many ideas of how to design my magazine. A weaknesses is
that the magazine were a lot like each other, so it was hard to find ones
that were different when trying to find a different front cover.
4. Planning
β’ A strength of my planning is that I could put everything that I was thinking,
down on one mind map, then decide what would be the best one to turn
into my final product, this made it very easy to decide what I was doing for
the final product. A weakness is that the when the I started to run out of
ideas towards the end of the mind map, and I felt that I had to fill the
whole page in with ideas, and a lot of writing. I could of put more detail
into my work when putting the ideas down on the mind map, also the
position of where I put the ideas could have been better.
5. Time Management
β’ I did manage my time well by having all the product done on time, with no
errors while making it. Also the writing was done on time with enough
time to go through and reader over again. If I had more time I would
improve the layout of the pages, with making them more colourful and
more interesting to look at. If I had additional time I would make the
layout more interesting to look at, and improve the sides of the pages
because they are very boring to look at, the colour of the background
because the final product background is just white making it not an
interesting to and to look at. To change it to a black and blue boarders,
also change the background to a different colours.
6. Technical Qualities
Differences:
The bottom front cover has more
writing on it with many different
side titles. Its also has more
colours with its titles while I have
just black and white colours for
my writing. The bottom one has
more information on the front
cover about what you can find in
the magazine.
Similarities:
They both in black and white
with a camera being
operation in a glass. They
both have what the reader
will find inside the magazine
and they will improve their
photography.
7. Technical Qualities
Similarities:
The layout of the page is very similar
with pictures on both in different sizes,
also the writing is describe the photos
and how they were taken.
Differences:
The professional double page has more
information on it, also the fonts are very
different in size, also the pictures are in
different sizes.
8. Aesthetic Qualities
My pictures look good with where Iβve place them on the page because they arenβt too big
so they would fill up the whole page, also the font size and the size of the text arenβt too big
so it wouldnβt fill the too much of the space with the writing, so they could look at the
pictures in more depth and admire them more. I would improve it by using an different fonts
when typing and different colours on each page, to give the pages a more vibrant look about
the pages. A strength would be that the pictures are in good quality and the writing is good
detail in how I took them and with what zoom I took them with. A weakness is that the
boarders are quite plain and there no real colourful points in the magazine apart from the
pictures.
9. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my audience by keeping the text short, but with enough detail to tell the
reader how I took the photos and what with lens I took it with. Also the pictures are big so
they would catch the reader eyes and that itβs big enough for everybody to see, also with it
being at the top of the page would make the look at the pictures first then how I took
afterwards, also it gives them chance to admire the photos. The front cover of the magazine
doesnβt have to many things on it that would make hard see the front picture, also it has
what will be inside the magazine as well.
11. Feedback 1

13. Feedback 3

set theme to it, also the writing of how it done really
help the me if was going out to try and re-creative.

because at the moment it just a plain white
background.
β’ What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
β’ I disagree with there needing to be more detail in the
writing, because I put enough detail in how I took the
pictures and with what lens I took it with.
15. Peer Feedback Summary
I would change the boarders of the because at the moment it a quite
a plain with just a white boarders, when it could be more colourful,
with having a pattern on the sides of it. I would add a little bit more
detail into some of the written pieces, by adding where I took from
and what inspire me to take the picture, and how it angles of the
photos were improve the quality of the pictures.
