3. Research
• The strengths I found when doing my research were that it gave me the
chance to find the right layout and information for my spread sheet and
also how I wanted my layout to be, my research helped my final product
because I had researched the fonts and pictures I wanted to use so this
really helped when I came to start making it.
• The weaknesses that I found doing my research were that I couldn’t find a
double page spread the same thing as mine, I wanted to make my double
page spread different compared to the other existing ones
4. Planning
• The strengths I found when doing my planning were that I was able to plan
what fonts and pictures I wanted to use for my front cover and also the
colours and planned a colour scheme for my front cover, I also planned
how I would layout my front cover, I also found that I could change a
colour or a picture in my planning, for me that was a great strength
5. Time Management
• I believe I managed my time well when it came to making sure I met the
deadline for my product, the way I did this was using my frees and doing
work at home, going back to my planning I made a plan to make sure I
managed it well and making the most of the lessons and doing as much as
I could. I think that if I was given more time I could of made my main
image a better resolution to make it look less blurry and I would of also
added more information
6. Technical Qualities
The similarities with my double
page spread compared to the
existing on is, the background
fits well with the layout of the
page
The similarities
this this existing
front cover and
mine is that both
mastheads are
near enough the
same colour and
are made bold to
stand out the
there audience
Another simil
is that both fr

The difference
between my
front cover
and the
existing one is

have chosen
colour
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I really believe that my work is good and creative, because my double page spread is not like any other existing ones, I
believe this because my front cover has a number of films on it but my double page spread only talks about one particular
film, and I’ve seen that not a lot of magazines do this. The aspects of my magazine that I like are that it has bright colours
and text to get my target audiences attention, I also like the use of the buzz words that I have used, and that my magazine
tells you lot about it before you even open it. I the ways I would improve my magazine are that I would use a 4K picture to
make the quality better, I would also add more information on the front cover to tell my audience more about what the
magazine has to offer. The strengths of my front cover are, its bright and tells you straight away what genre it is, the text is
also clear and readable, also I have used a number of up to date films to attract my target group, the strengths about my
double page spread are that the background fits well with text and also the way that I have laid it out will grab the readers
attention
8. Audience Appeal
My product will appeal to my audience because the films I have
used in my front cover and talked about on my double page spread
are very modern and I know that people in my target group will
know about the movies and the magazine looks very modern, also
a lot of young people buy magazine for collection and because they
want to read about there favourite artist and musician and to also
find out new and exclusive information about there favourite
celebrities. My product will also appeal to my audience because its
bright and really stands out my product will attract more females
than males because of the feminine colours I have used.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
The double page spread has nice spacing and matches a professional
layout. The image is high quality and the colours used match the mise-en-
scene of the image.
– The masthead on the FC works well and is creative. The film reel idea
makes the association of the genre of the magazine to the audience.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• The colours are very neutral on the DPS and this contrasts with the
FC which makes the flow of the magazine break up.
• The image on the front cover could have been better resolution and
the use of cover lines could have been a bit more informative and
creative with the layout
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I enjoyed the product’s theme and enjoyed how the product followed this particular theme throughout. I like how you
can clearly tell that this is a romance magazine. I like the title of this particular magazine.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• I think a few improvements could be made as a the title looked as if it was from a radio show or a film magazine not in
particular a romance one. Another improvement for me would be to upgrade the background image to a 4k picture as it
would look a lot better than the blurry picture he has at the moment.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– What I liked about this product was the fact that the front cover is very colourful and readable, the front cover tells
you a lot about the magazine before you even open it, I like how the masthead is bold and stands out you can tell that
this magazine is meant to attract the target audience, because of the colours used and its general layout, I like how
they have put I film reel on and placed film scenes in the reel. I like the double page spread because the background
fits in well with the layout.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• I think that more could have been more detailed added on the double page spread, and I think different colours could have
been used to make sure it wasn’t the same as the front cover.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– Looking back on my feedback, I agree that I should of used a better image for better resolution and I also agree that I
could of made my front cover look more creative, I also agree that more information could have been added on my
font cover to make the attraction to it bigger.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
• I disagree with changing the colours on my double page spread, I think that the colours and background used are very fitting
and really set the theme for content that is on the page, I also disagree with he feedback about the title not fitting well with
the magazine, I think it fits very well, I’ve used a famine colour to attract my target audience.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
– The changes I would make to my product based upon the feedback have received are, I would make my main image
on my front cover 4K for better resolution and also would of used more cover lines to make my magazine more
informative, and I would of also made my front cover look more creative to my target audience, I had been given
more time I would have made these changes and a different result would of come out of my final product, by doing
this would of made my magazine more attractive to my target audience.
