This document is a project proposal submitted by Carter Lee Smith for their graphic design project titled "The Black Smiths". Main area of activity:
The main area of my medium I will be working on is the imagery of graphic design with the
photography with a mix of music. This mix gives me the chance to have a open idea of what I will
be making and gives me a chance to change and add certain things to my work that will iprove the
overall grade.
Rationale:
I have gained many skills through the years of learning and producing work from this course, I
have gained skills within the views of photoshop skills but also the skills within music and image
editing, this is because I have produced music videos, poster, adverts and a bunch of other
product, this has given me a better view of what I’m good at and what I’m not good at giving me
the chance to see on what I can improve on and how these improvements will effect my work in a
good way. These skills can give me a chance to make my future products better and have a higher
standard of producing.
Project Concept:
The main concept of my product is that I want to make a new and unique design of a album cover
and merchandise, I also want to include a poster with a possibility of a music video, I want to
include my own song and create a new design of music production. For creating a product, I like
this I will need to create a research description of how music producers and how they create a
album and merchandise. I also want to see how the design of artists create there look in the music
industry. I also want to see how the artists I like publish their music and how their merchandise go
well together. This research will help me with my production and design because it will give me a
basic layout of what I need to do and how I will do it for the final product. For the main details
about the album cover, I want to produce a piece of work that will be outstanding and will be
unique in its own way of design and creativity. I feel that if I produce a product that has a good idea
and concept behind the thought it will work perfect and have a good professional standard that is
achievable for my scale of thought.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed: 50 words approx.
I plan to evaluate my work like it isn’t my own, this is because I want to review the product honest
and give it the review it needs rather than being bias, these developments from this evaluation and
the other product that come with it will help me see what I need to improve on and how these
improvements will help me in future.
