2. Process
• This shows my first stage in final
production of my game, I have kept my
background the same from the practice
experiment but have added a floor to add
a sense of realism to the game, in this
instance it is grass. I have used the pen
and brush tool to make the majority of
this image shown, the clouds, the rain,
the car, the man and the grass. I have
used a template of a man off the internet
to draw a better man than last time
which I think I have done. I have used the
text tool to make the title of the game, I
have changes it from last time as I prefer
this font style than the last. A lot like the
practice one I used the rectangle and the
circle tool to make the car as its easier to
make than free hand drawing and less
time consuming. I think so far my product
is going well and I’m pleased as it looks
like a realistic horror game that I am
going for.
3. Process
• As you can see from the picture I have
added text to the guy, implying that he
is about to say something, I have done
this using the text tool which I used
previously for the title. I have kept the
same things from the previous slides,
apart from the game’s title and the
‘’press start to play’’. To simulate that
the game has started and that you are
playing the game. The processes for
this slide was very simple as I hid the
layers via the bar at the left side of the
screen so that the things I didn’t want
to show, didn’t show. I like how I have
made speech for this character as it
adds a sense of story to the game,
which makes it that much more
realistic.
4. Process
• A lot like the last screenshot taken the
setting of is of the same, but a house is
now present, which using the pen/brush
tool I drew free hand, including the door.
The process that I went through for these
two wasn’t difficult, more or less the
same as all of my work is mostly hand
drawn to emphasize its all my own
creation. I have also gone through the
process of being able to view things in
that certain shot. So you will be able to
tell that the car is missing and the house
has been added. I have done this to show
that the character has walked far enough
away from his car that he can’t see it any
more. Making the game a more
immersive experience. My thoughts so
far is positive as I feel as if the product is
coming together, my only problem for me
is my drawings as they aren’t great.
5. Process
• I have created a whole new setting for my
new scene, which is entirely different from
the others. The majority of this image is
hand drawn so like most of this game I
used the brush/pen tool to create
everything here. A big process I had to do
was to un view everything I had created as
I didn’t want to delete everything in case I
needed it for later, as I didn’t want
everything from previous scenes to be
included in this shot. The only thing
included from the other three images is
the rain you can barely see in the window.
I think this room looks good and I think it
lives up to a good haunted house as its
slightly creepy how its presented. I’m also
pleased how well some drawings turned
out for me, e.g. the chandelier. As it looks
almost realistic. I think so far the game is
looking good and its presenting its self very
well.
6. Process
• As you can see from this particular screen
shot. I have added a new background to
my product, to imply the character is now
in the darkness and can’t see, which is
what the words above the character is
inferring. I made the words using the text
tool and coloured them to match a
creepy colour to create the atmosphere,
like the rest I have changed the font to
match the character’s nervousness. I
have also un viewed a few things from
the previous shot and left the things that
the character can just barely make out. I
have created a new layer, which can be
seen in the bottom left hand corner of
the screen, using the brush and pen tool.
So far I think I’m making this game creepy
with each shot of it I make, I think that
some people may decide that this scene
is too bare and that there is not a lot on
it, but that’s the point, the character
can’t see. At this point I’m happy and
think it will turn out how I potentially
wanted it too.
7. Process
• This screenshot shows that I have included red
eyes into the background setting, which I have
created via the brush/pen tool, to show
creepiness of him being followed. I have also
added a torch which I drew using the
pen/brush tool and connected to his hand
using the layers I have made for both man and
the torch. As you can see I have added text to
the top of the man’s head and lets the gamer
know what the character is currently thinking
of. I have made this using the text tool and
have design it in a creepy font of my choosing,
as I believe it benefits this scene perfectly. My
feelings so far about the game is okay as I
believe I’m slightly rushing the ending of it but I
believe that it will be alight once finished.
8. Process
This screenshot shows that I have
created a game over screen for my
game, as I believe it makes the game
seem as if it is a real game, which I
think is a cool touch. I have done this
by using the text tool to make it and
changed the font to the style that I
wanted it to be like. I have also
choose the red colour to show
danger, like a game over screen. I
have kept everything the same so it
looks like its part of the same scene
which I think makes the game that
more realistic. My thoughts about my
final product is alright, mixed positive
and negative as I don’t know if I’m
happy with all my drawings and
makings but I liked the idea of my
plan, if I was a lot better at drawing I
think I would be impressed just a bit
more than I am.
