1. THEORY- MEANING

2. SNAKE
• Denotation
• It’s a reptile, scaly, elongated, cold blooded and
sometimes poisonous.
• Connotation
• Treacherous, sneaky, unpredictable, Tricky,
slippery, terrifying

3. FLAG
• Denotation
• A rectangular piece of material that is used to
signify Great Britain and used at hotels and big
famous buildings to signify that, that certain
building in the place speaks that language
• Connotation
• Recognised as the British flag

4. GUN
• Denotation
• A military hand built device that is used to injure or
kill a enemy, usually carried by police, apart from
the police in Britain.
• Connotation
• Danger, death, gun laws and a peace keeper

5. Colors: the orange, amberness of the sky shows that something's “over
the horizon” meaning something's going to happen. It also emphasizes
the main character’s facial feature’s, the sky being the same color as his
face.
Props: The football in the poster references the main character
“dreaming” as the title of the movie states, the football represents him
dreaming about playing football and being professional.
Costume: The main character’s outfit in this represents his training gear
whilst playing football. Because he’s in a tracksuit this leads us to believe
he does perhaps end u playing for a club.
Lighting: Like mentioned above the lighting of the sky puts emphasis on
the football and the main character’s face which implies importance of
these two things. It also makes the character look emotional as the sky is
coloured like his face.
Framing: The framing is more left party as it mainly focuses us on his
face and his emotional with the football to show his passion for the game.
It also shows the man in the right hand corner of the screen, making us
look to him and see what he’s doing or if the characters are that of the
same person
Actor/Model: The actor “Kuno Becker” is showing deep emotion on his
face and is implying by holding the ball directing to his forehead that
football is the only thing on his mind. He also in the right hand corner of
the screen is looking up into the screen emphasizing that he is hoping for
god to help him.

6. Colors: The yellow in the picture makes the players in the image stand
out and overall the image stand out. The colors on the strips of the
players immediately drags your eye to it as you’re interested to see the
new kits and who the players are who are modeling for them are.
Props: The Fifa symbol shows the importance and the impact of the
game, by the title being big it could imply the game being big. The EA
sports badge pin points the importance of the game and shows itself
as a big brand.
Costume: All 4 players are wearing there designated kits for their
clubs. Showing off this seasons new kits. And showing off the clubs
that have been chosen to represent the cover of the game.
Lighting: The light on this particular cover is very much a yellow based
lighting and for me it emphasizes Marco Reus (the guy in yellow) as
the background isn’t any color of the other players. Also If you look
closely you can see a white light that puts emphasize on the players
hair/face making them look more intense and focused and perhaps
better.
Location: Judging by this there can be no location as it’s a poster for a
game that has nothing that could give us any detail on its location.
Framing: The framing on this particular cover has a very frontal frame
as there isn’t really anywhere else to glance your eyes at. It focuses
mainly on the 4 football players and the games title. To get the point
across of the intensity that you get from the players faces and the
seriousness of the game that, in my opinion is what its trying to portray.
Actor/model: The models in this cover are real life people but they
aren’t really actors as its not like they are acting for a part. The actors
in this cover are trying to convey emotion and intensity in there faces,
they are also trying to convey how serious this game is and how
important it is, I think u definitely get this from there face.

7. Colors: The colors in this poster are a lot like “Goal: the dream begins” as
there is a orangey shade to the poster referencing glory, achievement and
perhaps celebration. It could also be said that the font is that of the original
titans referencing the team to that of Greek gods. The yellow of the title goes
with the orange tint and contrasts it very well. The color also contrasts
perfectly with Denzel’s face as they have made his face a similar color. This
could perhaps symbolize him leading the individuals at the bottom to win
something.
Props: The props in this particular poster could be the players at the bottom
throwing their helmets in the air referencing perhaps winning and
celebrating.
Costume: In this particular poster the only costume that is really present is
the American footballers jerseys implying that they are American football
players. Since we can’t see what Denzel’s character is wearing it would be
silly to make a assumption to what he's wearing.
Location: We can safely guess that the location of this film is probably
somewhere in America as the team at the bottom are wearing American
jerseys, we could also guess that’s its in America as Denzel Washington is a
American actor which could give us a safe clue as to where this film is
based.
Lighting: The lighting of this film is a yellow/orange tint that like mentioned
above could reference to winning and celebration. The lighting could also
imply that Denzel Washington is a hero of the film as he’s in theory the face
of the poster he’s the one who you look at as soon as you see the poster.
Framing: The framing of this poster is spilt between two sections on top is
Denzel’s face showing glory and the bottom part is football players
celebrating. Its interesting how Denzel’s face is bigger than the players, this
could definitely imply that Denzel has a bigger significance to the film then
the football team which would lead us to believe that he must be there
coach.
Actor/model: The actor as I have mentioned throughout, Denzel Washington
has a look of proudness about him and a sense of joy this could imply that
something happens in which for him to be in that state of mind, a guess
would be he wins a major tournament with them? The players also have a
look of celebration which only proves my point even further.
