2. Process
• This screen shots shows that I have started
the work for my final project. I have started
with the lettering of the word Brink and
beginning to start on the E. To do this I had
to gather the image off the internet and cut
each individual letter out to be able to move
that image freely around. So far I can’t really
convey my feelings towards what I’ve done
as I haven’t really done a lot. So far though I
am pleased with the way its turning out so
far.
• You will also notice from this screen shot
That I have placed a black background in as
my background, I have done this as I said I
would in my plan as I think it will
compliment my letters perfectly. I have also
incorporated a black background because I
want my letters to stand out a lot more than
they should do, for example if the letters in
white like Brink is, it will stand out a lot
more than a lighter background like grey.
3. Process
• In this screenshot You can clearly see that I
have added more words and repeated the
sequence I mentioned in the slide above
several times to fill the word. I have made
up the word Bethesda with all different
games and the letter of that game taking the
letter of each game and placing it in.
• The reason for each game font looking
different is because that is the game’s
unique print, so in my opinion it would be
wrong of me to change the print of the font
as it makes each word/ each game stand out
and look their own. If I’m honest I believe
that so far each game and the lettering of
them looks really good and I’m pleased with
the way things are turning out so far as I’m
making good time and each little detail in
my poster is exactly how I imagined it how
to look.
4. Process
• This screen shot shows that I have added
two more images to my final design and
have incorporated the new dark grey colour
into two of my letters as I believe this
compliments the background and fits nicely
with everything else. I coloured these letters
in using the strobe and thickened them with
a opacity tool.
• I have made the images look very faded on
purpose as I wanted to give the audience
the illusion that the images are lurking in
the background, make it look like a collage
of games. I have done this by making the
transparency of the image down to 47. In
my opinion it looks a lot better with the
transparency of 47 as it gives the poster a
more of a faded image. So far though I like
how the images look and how they are
positioned in place of the background.
Although I’m not sure about the Skyrim
dragon logo in replace of the Bethesda cube
so I may change that, nearer finishing point.
5. Process
• On this particular screen shot shows I have
continued and finished the images that I set out
to fill the background with. I got the pictures to
look faded by decreasing their transparency and
sending them to the back of the poster so the
letters shine through and so they are readable
through the images.
• I have also started filling the rest of the letters in
the colour of the dark grey most of letters are
filled in as of current. I have used the strobe on
Photoshop to colour the letters grey, also by
using the strobe option I was able to bold the
letters a lot more, make them stand out more
than they already did. My thoughts towards this
so far is really positive as its all coming together
and looks like a actually legitimate poster. Once
I’ve tweaked a few things and filled the last rage
poster in I will be very content as then everything
will look great and as I wanted it to look.
6. Process
• This shows my final product finished. I am
happy how it turned out and I’m pleased that it
all turned out how I expected and how my plan
showed. The tools I used to finish my design
where a little touch up of colour for the letters,
adding an extra image onto my poster as I
missed it off first time round.
• I used the eraser tool to cut off little edges of
the letter characters, I also used a bit more
transitioning on the images as they were
sticking out a bit too much and were
interrupting the main letter characters. I have
also added a new colour overlay to match the
colour of the B at the start of the word
Bethesda, which I personally think compliments
the image really well and makes the words
stand out more than they already did with the
other colour I had.
• Unfortunately I didn’t realise until last minute
that I had spelt the game on the end correctly
so I have gone back and changed that as you
can see. I have also added as a final touch the
Bethesda square in the left hand corner of the
B, which I think is cool.
7. Process
• This screen shot shows a image of some of the layers I
have made and how I have merged them together to make
it easier for myself. These layers represent some of the
letters and characters you can see on the previous slides. I
decided to merge my letters because like I mentioned its
more convenient for me and easier and it makes your work
look more organized and easier to sort as well.
• You can also see in this screen shot that there is a section
saying “Strobe” and “Color overall” This because I have
designed my characters and letters to be the color of my
choice so Its stating that over the layer that I have colored.
• I’m really happy that I chose to merge my layers as its
made working less time consuming and I was able to get a
lot more done within the time that I had. I’m also pleased
with my layering as It looks professional and presentable
and is for me to edit if I find something that is wrong.
