2. Process
• I got an A4 canvas to
make my
experiment. I made
it vertical as my
medium is a mobile
phone game. I went
for this because it
will be easy to
animate and I would
like to experiment
that more.
3. Process
• I used the paint
bucket tool to make
the canvas black. I
have done this
because I thought it
would fit the game’s
scenario and brief.
Also, it is very
spooky and suitable
to what the game
will be about.
4. Process
I added a new layer to my experiment to add a character by clicking on the folded corner
icon. I have made more layers because it’s more easier to find other objects I have
drawn and to move around. On that layer, I drew a grey line to make the foreground. I
chose the colour grey because I wanted to go for dark colours that make the scenario
spooky and fitting for the game’s description.
5. Process
The left is my design and the right is the idea for my character design. My
design is very different such as the face shape and eye shape along with the
leg shape of the character. This took a day and a half to create and it was
very time consuming and difficult to make as I had other things to make. And
it was very difficult to decide where to draw the squares.
6. Process
I used the colour scheme from a character because I liked her design and she seems like she
would be suitable for the game as her powerup would include her weapon defeating all the
ghosts. I used the colour picker tool to get the right colours and copy them from the original
picture. I chose pink shoes because it is my own interpretation of my character.
Yang from the
show RWBY.
7. Process
Using the image on the right, I drew a ghost using the image as a template and coloured them in
different pastel colours using the Pencil tool. I chose these colours because I wanted the colours
to reflect how I want the game to look like.
8. Process
This is what my game looks like with all the ghosts and characters. The goal of this game is to put
all the ghosts with the same colour in a line. To do this, you have to use your finger to move the
ghosts one place at a time so that, in the end, you have 6 horizontal lines of ghosts which are the
same colour.
9. Process
This is my game animated where all the colours are in 6 different lines. I used the frame
animation timeline to make this and I made the seconds 0.5 to make it normal speed. I chose
this speed because I didn’t want it to be too quick or too slow for my game and it’s easy to look
at the animation.
10. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
I will include the drawing my own character
using a template and using the frame animation
timeline like I did in the ghost game.
• Refer to the brief: Ghost Game
