Working Title:
Music Audio Podcast
Product’s Purpose:
The products purpose is for entertainment as music is entertaining for many people.
It also has an education purpose as it can teach people new music and get a sense of different
genres. Playing and listening to music links with both of these purposes.
Genre:
It is a music podcast, including music and information in the music industry.
Content
My product is a music podcast audio, I am going to include different genres of music to appeal to
different audiences and talk about popular artists to keep them entertained and interested
throughout. Sound effects will be included on the audio to keep the audience entertained. The
target audience is from the age 13 as the music used will be appropriate from this age.
Audience:
My audience is from the age of 13 and over. The primary age is 13-25 as the songs will be more
modern and stuff that people in this generation like to listen. The secondary age for the product is
25-40 as they also will enjoy the music used and be interested in what happens. The primary
gender is female as I feel they will enjoy the music the most and be the most interested in the
information. The secondary gender would be male as they will also enjoy the music played and be
entertained by the sound effects. A primary social status is middle class as they will listen to the
music that is used on audio and will understand the information and news used. The secondary
social status is working class as they will enjoy the music and different features used throughout
the podcast. The psychographics of the product is Belonger as they like products based in the UK
and enjoy community messages making them the best fit for the product.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
No offensive material will be used as my audience starts from a young age so will need to be
suitable for teenagers.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
No my target audience is from the age 13 but anyone younger will be able to listen as it will be
appropriate for any listener.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
No offensive material will be use to offend anyone so that it is suitable for any audience.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Having a lower target audience helps to make sure not to offend any younger people but also
there will be no offensive music or information used on the audio.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
I am not using anything that already exists so that everything is original.
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for
copyright infringement?
I will be using 30 seconds of music to make sure I do not copyright or sued for anything but other
than that there will be no existing products used throughout.
