Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Entertainment and to educate younger people. People and younger players of the game will learn
things said and mentioned by the people on the show. The main talking points will be about recent
activity in the transfer window, information about players, managers and what has happened on
the football pitch.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
Sport and entertainment because it’s a sport related show.

My product is going to be interviewing people of the public, asking them about their team’s recent
performances and what they need to do in the near future. Obviously depending on the team they
support I have to have information on them. I would also talk about the transfer window as it’s the
month of clubs able to make transfers. I will talk to the people of the public about their rival clubs
and their clubs upcoming games and see if they can win. The ideas I have planned are good. I
might have a radio introduction at the start and then leading off to interviews with people in the
public and having chats about recent footballing gossip, whether it’s transfers, clubs, players,
managers, etc.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
My target audience will be people that are aged over 10 and for both genders. I think my product
will be good for both genders because both genders play football in their own way. This is a
reasonable target audience because people younger than 10 might not listen to this kind of
podcast or radio show. Mainly people over this age will listen and take information from the pundits
and others on the show. People that are in a car maybe on to a football match will listen out for
line-ups of the team they support which would be in a football related football show. 5 Live is a
good example of a football radio show that commentates over football matches that are being
played live at that moment. However my product will be about recent results and fixtures coming
up and talking about the interviewee’s team and what they want to happen in the future for their
team. My product will appeal to my target audience because it will be a decent podcast that will
entertain all ages above 10 and will make people get involved with the radio show by telling us
about their supported teams and what else is happening in the football community.
The psychographic would be Belonger as football is in my opinion fun for the whole family. I think
the podcast will be worth listening to so people can be up-to-date with everything about their
teams. The social status would be the DE part of the ABC1C2DE because it’s free to listen to it
because it’s on the internet and would be recommended on the BBC sports radio page.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:

How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
My product won’t include any offensive material and offend anybody whether it’s someone’s
religion or social groups or people in general. Talking about football can’t really offend anybody
when it comes to religion and social groups so I think I’m quite confident that my product won’t
have any offensive material and won’t offend anybody. However when talking about football I will
have to show fairness with both teams so nobody complains on why nothing was talked about for
them teams. In my product I won’t be coping any existing products. I will try and do this project my
own way and try not to copy any ideas of other radio shows and podcasts. My product will be
