Filming
The days we filmed, and what we achieved during
the sessions.
05/02/16
• On the 5th we filmed the ‘Tuesday’ scene set it the corridor. We filmed this
scene in school, in school times, this was a lot more difficult than
expected due to numerous students and staff walking through the corridor.
Nether the less we managed to get
fluid footage that we were able to
use, with the add ambient noise of
the classrooms nearby. The hardest
part for me was concentrating on
acting and my role with people
walking past through shots.
10/02/16
• Today we shot another scene in school, this was for ‘Tuesday’ again.
The importance of the ‘Tuesday’ scene is to introduce certain
characters, for example in this shot the gang member AB is
introduced. In this we shot more than what we needed to ensure that
in post-production we were able to choose from different clips.
11/02/16
• On the 11th we filmed the Wednesday scene. There were extras in this
scene to create the illusion of a classroom scene, the use of phones as
props were needed as this scene was to highlight the communication
between the gang. One thing I hope we edit in post production is
Vicky having a lighter and a tobacco packet.
16/02/16
• Today we filmed the filmed the last scene, the ‘Friday’ scene. This
scene took time to film as it was the final fight scene. We picked up
the sound by using the Boom Mic, I used this piece of equipment as
the ambient sound was very overpowering. However, it took multiple
shots for us to work out whether the microphone was picking
anything up. As the weather was bright and sunny in post-production
we wanted to make this dull, enabling us to create an atmosphere.
17/02/16
• On the 17th we filmed the ‘Thursday’ scene. We filmed at this location
as the graffiti and the dark lighting from the bridge gave the
environment the atmosphere we wanted. We filmed the scene where
I beat up Lauren, the ambient sound of the traffic and trains made the
what we were trying to create more real. One thing we were worried
about in this scene was the sound, due to this we took multiple shots
of clips with dialogues.
• Whilst filming here we took a promotional
picture for the film, this is because we had a
good backdrop with the graffiti and all of the
gang/cast were present and in costume.
22/02/16
• We filmed the ‘Monday’ scene, this is the first scene in our thriller
opening. We filmed this scene in a small room which had windows,
due to this we had to create a backdrop which blocked out the light.
The main reason for blocking out the light is because we wanted the
viewers to focus on the laptop screen and not the surrounding, as this
is a major part of the plot. There was little sound or dialogue in this
scene as the main focus would be in post production.

Filming

  • 1. Filming The days we filmed, and what we achieved during the sessions.
  • 2. 05/02/16 • On the 5th we filmed the ‘Tuesday’ scene set it the corridor. We filmed this scene in school, in school times, this was a lot more difficult than expected due to numerous students and staff walking through the corridor. Nether the less we managed to get fluid footage that we were able to use, with the add ambient noise of the classrooms nearby. The hardest part for me was concentrating on acting and my role with people walking past through shots.
  • 3. 10/02/16 • Today we shot another scene in school, this was for ‘Tuesday’ again. The importance of the ‘Tuesday’ scene is to introduce certain characters, for example in this shot the gang member AB is introduced. In this we shot more than what we needed to ensure that in post-production we were able to choose from different clips.
  • 4. 11/02/16 • On the 11th we filmed the Wednesday scene. There were extras in this scene to create the illusion of a classroom scene, the use of phones as props were needed as this scene was to highlight the communication between the gang. One thing I hope we edit in post production is Vicky having a lighter and a tobacco packet.
  • 5. 16/02/16 • Today we filmed the filmed the last scene, the ‘Friday’ scene. This scene took time to film as it was the final fight scene. We picked up the sound by using the Boom Mic, I used this piece of equipment as the ambient sound was very overpowering. However, it took multiple shots for us to work out whether the microphone was picking anything up. As the weather was bright and sunny in post-production we wanted to make this dull, enabling us to create an atmosphere.
  • 6. 17/02/16 • On the 17th we filmed the ‘Thursday’ scene. We filmed at this location as the graffiti and the dark lighting from the bridge gave the environment the atmosphere we wanted. We filmed the scene where I beat up Lauren, the ambient sound of the traffic and trains made the what we were trying to create more real. One thing we were worried about in this scene was the sound, due to this we took multiple shots of clips with dialogues. • Whilst filming here we took a promotional picture for the film, this is because we had a good backdrop with the graffiti and all of the gang/cast were present and in costume.
  • 7. 22/02/16 • We filmed the ‘Monday’ scene, this is the first scene in our thriller opening. We filmed this scene in a small room which had windows, due to this we had to create a backdrop which blocked out the light. The main reason for blocking out the light is because we wanted the viewers to focus on the laptop screen and not the surrounding, as this is a major part of the plot. There was little sound or dialogue in this scene as the main focus would be in post production.
