2. PRODUCTION DAY 1
Our first production day was filmed at Bishop Sutton village hall, we wanted to film our first shots in
front of a wall and this was the closest and easiest place to get to. Lauren let me pick out my outfit
from her wardrobe and for the first outfit we wanted all neutral colours which would fit well with the
colour of the wall, we chose black, white and grey
When we were filming we had to make sure my lip syncing was in the with the song, to ensure I was
singing in time I practised memorising the lyrics at home which really helped me when it came to
filming day, another way we made sure I was singing in time was by playing the song out loud from
Laurens car, this really helped me make sure I was in time with the song and also by playing the song
in the background it helped us match it up to the track when we edited the clips together.
During our first day of filming we filmed about 8 times in the same location by each time was at a
different angle, we did this because we would be using these clips throughout our music video and
believed it would look boring if it was all from the same angle.
A problem we faced on this day was that our first few clips weren’t in focus which wasted a bit of time
and we had to spend some time figuring out how to change the settings on the camera
4. PRODUCTION DAY 2
Our second day took place in Bishop Sutton again in a housing estate where I would be riding
a bike, these shots didn’t take long as I wasn’t singing so we didn’t need to spend a lot of time
on these shots.
In these clips I am wearing a bright pink top and matching pink shoes, we thought the
brightness of the top would make me stand out due to the fact there isn’t any singing in these
we didn’t want it to be too boring.
We tried to use a variety of different camera angles and shots in these clips, such as me riding
towards and away from the camera and a close up of my feet riding the bike which he used
the slider for to make sure the shot was smooth.
A problem we had filming for this day was that it seemed a little unprepared and rushed and
the fact the weather wasn’t too good didn’t help either, I think the best way to fix this
problem would be to film these shots again as it wont take up much time
6. PRODUCTION DAY 3 AND 4
These two production days were both filmed in town and Cabot Circus, the reason we filmed on two
different days was because it was too much to do in one day and we also needed a complete change
of outfit.
The first day of filming was done on the top floor of cabot circus car park, we chose this place
because there was nobody around that would get in any of our shots and also because the car park
is so high you were able to see the city of Bristol in the background of our shots
The second day of filming was based in Cabot Circus shopping centre and The Bear Pit, we chose
these places because we wanted to show the diversity of the city and also interpret a bit of everyday
life into it, such as me and Ellie walking round Cabot Circus shopping.
8. PRODUCTION DAY 5
This day of production neither me or Ellie were involved in filming. We decided for our music video
we wanted to involve some dancing because it is such an upbeat song, however me and Ellie didn’t
think it our dancing would look the best so we decided to ask Lennie, who is a self taught dancer in
the year below if he wouldn’t mind being involved.
We filmed in school just outside the Sixth Form Block infront of a plain wooden wall, we chose to
use a dull background because we didn’t want to take any attention off of Lennies dancing.
We also worked around Lennie and did it during a time that was best for him because didn’t want
to take him out of any lessons.
10. PRODUCTION DAY 6
This final day of production wasn’t really a planned filming day, we just had to film
a few shots that would fill in some of the gaps in our video.
We wanted to involve more of me and Ellie in our video because we felt like there
wasn’t enough of us together in it at the moment.
We filmed during lunch time in school at Laurens house and also at Chew Valley
Lake, we chose these two locations because they aren’t that far away from
eachother so it wouldn’t take long to move from each location.
The shots mainly involved me and Ellie walking around the lake talking and
laughing, however with the majority of these shots we didn’t think they fitted well
with all the other locations, so most of them we decided not to use.
