Working Title:
The name of my game video game will be “shoot em dead”
Audience:
My audience are males aged between 25-29, with a social status of C2DE, they're political beliefs
are left wing and they mostly work in IT professions earing less than £125 spare money to spend a
month. My product will appeal to this age group because the game is made for more of a mature
audience due to there being gore and a scary theme which may scare a younger audience, my
product will also appeal to males because the game is more graphic and has a zombie theme
which males are more interested in. My product will also appeal to an audience in this social
status/profession/spare income because its free and doesn’t require a pay to play transaction.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Throughout the year I have gained skills and knowledge in the programmes I will be using such as
photoshop and adobe premiere, I have a clear understanding of how to create an 8-bit world/
character on photoshop along with animating these 8-bit creations. I also have good knowledge of
how to use adobe premiere and how to piece together all my animations and add sound. I will use
these skills to help me create an 8-bit maze with textures and characters. the advert game I made
previously was for IRN-BRU in which a character had to push open doors, this previous
experience will impact my product because it has given me previous experience of how to use the
programmes and how to learn from my mistakes.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept of my project will be to create a top down zombie shooter where the player will have
to make their way around an 8-bit maze and shoot or either avoid the zombies when going from
point A to point B, I will make this by using photoshop to create the 8-bit world and animate it then
use adobe premiere to edit all the animations together and add music. I will need to research
existing products which will help me gain research and have knowledge on what game ideas have
already been saturated, I will also need to gain audience research to have an understanding of
who will be playing my game which will help me produce a product specifically to appeal to a
certain audience. I will also research previous work by other students which will help me get an
understanding of the quality of work and which ideas have been used before.

Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate my work by conducting a weekly diary of what I have created along with my
strengths and weaknesses during that week. I also plan on comparing my world to existing
products and to analyse the outcomes of my product. This work will help me develop my working
practices by allowing me to analyse my strengths and weaknesses along with learning from my
mistakes.
