Rationale:
Throughout the past 2 years I feel that from making my previous products I have acquired enough
knowledge and skills to go into making this product confidently, I will use those skills to efficiently
complete my product by using filming techniques or tricks in order to complete my shots, I will also
do this by applying my knowledge when editing to add unique, abstract effects and transitions.
From the past 2 years I think I have also gotten myself used to the written work process I think that
doing research and planning will be completed a lot more efficiently and to a higher standard.
Previously I have made a music video before which gives me a bit of confidence when going into
post-production, I can apply my knowledge from this previous work into my current FMP and
expand on it to create an even better product.
Project Concept:
The concept of my project is to create something that is creative, abstract and unique. I want the
audience to be entertained and to feel as if they would want to watch my product again, I plan on
making a music video for my brother who produces beats, I have been given a track and
permission to create a music video for this track. I will need to conduct research on multiple things
such as an audience, gaining research on an audience will help me identify my own target
audience for my product. This will allow me to cater my product to have a lot of features that my
intended target audience would enjoy and will find rewatchable. I will also need to research how I
will create my product; I have prior knowledge on creating a music video but the techniques,
effects and transitions I want to use are a lot more complex from what I have previously created. I
will do this by researching 3rd party effects, pre-sets, transitions, and how to create and apply these
transitions myself.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed?:
I plan on evaluating my work by comparing it to others, I will see what aspects of my product seem
to be missing or didn’t reach the standard I would've hoped. I will also look at what went well with
my product and compare it to my initial ideas and my concept for my product. I will also evaluate
on how I could've improved my work and what I would do next time if I was to create my product
again. By evaluating my work this will help me in the future to reflect on my product and how I can
improve in the future when producing similar products, it will allow me to reflect on my previous
mistakes and highlight what I was successful in.
