Research
• THE STRENGHT OF MY RESEARCH
I am able to identify the similarities and things in common between
products. With this I am abled to find out what did they do to make
their products seem interesting and appealed more towards their
audience. This also shows the trend of the market on which product
do people want and what they don’t.
• THE WEAKNESS OF MY RESEARCH
The weakness of it I couldn’t add more products out there on the
market to do a research on it. So with limited amount of resources my
research was limited. The thing that I would improve would probably
be the amount of products to looked at so I can identify the trend of
the products more better.
Planning
• THE STRENGTH OF MY PLANNING
With my planning, I would be able to see and discover on what I
should do to produce a valuable product. It also help me to plan
on what should I use such as colours, fonts and characters for my
magazine.
• THE WEAKNESS OF MY PLANNING
The weakness of my planning was my ideas were too limited. I
should’ve spend more time exploring my ideas to bring the best.
I also should’ve look at my friends planning to see and compare
with mine so that I can get more ideas.
Time Management
I believe I managed my time well according to my schedule. I
fished all my targets according to the day that I assigned the
topics to finish. I would say my product specifically my 2-page
spread it will be better and more sophisticated for my audience.
This is because I think my work was too simple and boring.
Although there were times where I done my work ahead of my
schedule due to my skills in photoshop has improved I should’ve
added more ideas. If I were to have more time, my product
would probably become better and appealed more towards my
targeted audience.
Technical Qualities
Similarities
• Used the colour red for the title.
• Added horror-themed object/character on the
cover.
• Added catchphrases on the cover.
• Had a specific font for specific reasons.
• Highlighted the important article.
Differences
• The magazine on the right has a
barcode while on the left doesn’t.
• Magazine on the left use specific fonts
for each catchphrases.
Aesthetic Qualities
In my opinion, I think my
work is good enough for an
amateur. My product is also
creative and noticeably
different from other existing
products ranges from fonts
and the catchphrases on the
front cover. I would improve
my work by adding more
catchphrases and maybe
even add more article about
other horror movies.
Strength
• Eye-catching front
cover
• Creative and suitable
font
• Have an age-
restriction notice to
notify guardians due
to the content.
• A barcode so the price
can be regulated only
by me.
Weakness
• Not enough articles.
• Didn’t have any advertisement on the
front cover.
• Not enough catchphrases.
Audience Appeal
Horror-themed
font
Horrifying antagonist on
the front cover.
Titles of articles
inside the magazine
Barcode to
regulate the price
and helps the
shop that sells
them.
All of the above is my effort to appeal to my targeted audience. I used a specific font
because I want the title to be completely original, fits the horror theme that I’m
going for and look interesting. I’ve decided to use this antagonist on my front cover
because she came out on a latest movie which my targeted audience will find it
appealing.
Long informative article
about the film
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
I like the amount of information on the front cover.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– It’s lacking pictures and could have more on it as it
has nothing to look at.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– One thing I liked about the product is that the darker
colour really made the title and sub titles/articles
really stand out which really drew me in
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• One thing that could be improved is could of
added more article/sub headings to make the
viewer to want to read on and be more interested
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how my peer has stood to his theme and
made it actually look horrifying.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• Next time my peer could of added the price
onto his front cover.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I do agree that my product doesn’t contain a lot of
pictured and sub-headings on the front cover which
may make my targeted audience feel less interested.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
I disagree that I didn’t put the price on my front
cover. I already added the barcode and the price
will be regulated by the company not boy shops.
Peer Feedback Summary
I would’ve added more pictures and more sub-
headings to appeal more towards my targeted
audience. Even though I disagree, I would’ve added a
price label so that no confusion or misunderstanding
will happen regarding the price of my product. I
would’ve also improve my 2-page spread page as I
think its too boring, plain and nothing much going
on. I should’ve added more design and compresses
the article into smaller sections spread between
those two pages so it is easier for my targeted
audience to read comfortably.

  • 5. Time Management I believe I managed my time well according to my schedule. I fished all my targets according to the day that I assigned the topics to finish. I would say my product specifically my 2-page spread it will be better and more sophisticated for my audience. This is because I think my work was too simple and boring. Although there were times where I done my work ahead of my schedule due to my skills in photoshop has improved I should’ve added more ideas. If I were to have more time, my product would probably become better and appealed more towards my targeted audience.
  • 6. Technical Qualities Similarities • Used the colour red for the title. • Added horror-themed object/character on the cover. • Added catchphrases on the cover. • Had a specific font for specific reasons. • Highlighted the important article. Differences • The magazine on the right has a barcode while on the left doesn’t. • Magazine on the left use specific fonts for each catchphrases.
  • 7. Aesthetic Qualities In my opinion, I think my work is good enough for an amateur. My product is also creative and noticeably different from other existing products ranges from fonts and the catchphrases on the front cover. I would improve my work by adding more catchphrases and maybe even add more article about other horror movies. Strength • Eye-catching front cover • Creative and suitable font • Have an age- restriction notice to notify guardians due to the content. • A barcode so the price can be regulated only by me. Weakness • Not enough articles. • Didn’t have any advertisement on the front cover. • Not enough catchphrases.
  • 8. Audience Appeal Horror-themed font Horrifying antagonist on the front cover. Titles of articles inside the magazine Barcode to regulate the price and helps the shop that sells them. All of the above is my effort to appeal to my targeted audience. I used a specific font because I want the title to be completely original, fits the horror theme that I’m going for and look interesting. I’ve decided to use this antagonist on my front cover because she came out on a latest movie which my targeted audience will find it appealing. Long informative article about the film
  • 10. Feedback 1 • What did you like about the product? I like the amount of information on the front cover. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – It’s lacking pictures and could have more on it as it has nothing to look at.
  • 11. Feedback 2 • What did you like about the product? – One thing I liked about the product is that the darker colour really made the title and sub titles/articles really stand out which really drew me in • What improvements could have been made to the product? • One thing that could be improved is could of added more article/sub headings to make the viewer to want to read on and be more interested
  • 12. Feedback 3 • What did you like about the product? – I like how my peer has stood to his theme and made it actually look horrifying. • What improvements could have been made to the product? • Next time my peer could of added the price onto his front cover.
  • 13. Peer Feedback Summary • What do you agree with from your peer feedback? – I do agree that my product doesn’t contain a lot of pictured and sub-headings on the front cover which may make my targeted audience feel less interested. • What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? I disagree that I didn’t put the price on my front cover. I already added the barcode and the price will be regulated by the company not boy shops.
  • 14. Peer Feedback Summary I would’ve added more pictures and more sub- headings to appeal more towards my targeted audience. Even though I disagree, I would’ve added a price label so that no confusion or misunderstanding will happen regarding the price of my product. I would’ve also improve my 2-page spread page as I think its too boring, plain and nothing much going on. I should’ve added more design and compresses the article into smaller sections spread between those two pages so it is easier for my targeted audience to read comfortably.
