My favourite colour and font is light blue and Forte Because it looks like a good font to
attract attention to my magazine and poster. The font used is very important in the
use of my magazine because I don’t want a font that is hard to read but I don’t want it
to be plain either. It will need to attract the attention of people walking by. The colour
also effects the way people see the magazine so the colour has to go well with the
background or it will look out of place.

3. Layout 1
Pc Master
Borderlands 2 Remastered for
PC
GTA 5 First Person Mode
While creating a mock up layout I
was thinking about what colours I
would be using and the type of
images I would need. My main
image is the background, which
has two main colours (white and
a shade of black/grey). I then
thought to myself that I should
get a few images that fit in with
the background so I first got the
borderlands picture. This was
mainly to add a bit of colour but I
used the posturize tool to create
a darker effect on the image. I
then got the Skyrim photo This
was because It has action in it,
the action being a man with a
sword leaping forward to attack a
dragon. Gamers like action which
is why I added that image and the
last one is a man with a gun
running away from an explosion.
This image makes people think
about why he is running and
what has happened in the
background.
4. Layout 2

Voted Gaming Magazine of the Year

For this layout plan, I was
more wondering about what it
looked like with different
colours of font and also how it
looked if things were spread
out and didn’t add any
images. In the end I preferred
a magazine with images and
the writing to one side to
show off the main image. I
used the same font with the
all the text but changed the
colour and although it looks
slightly more colourful, it looks
really untidy and I personally
wouldn’t buy a magazine if
that was the front cover.
5. Layout Plan
This is a simple layout
plan for my magazine
front cover. The large
squares are where images
will go and the thin
rectangular shapes are
where the text will be
placed.
And there is a barcode at
the bottom.
