2. Style sheet
The two colour pallet options I have are
black and white or colour. In my survey the
response I got was that having a comic in
colour is more popular as the responders said
colour can show characters and backgrounds
better which can work well to tell a story.
These are the fonts I have to decide between
for my final title as they all fit the horror
theme and work well to be bold and convey
the genre of my graphic novel.
I will be using
characters similar to
these will the same
kind of style but I
will make the
colours darker
I will use this type of
layout for the graphic
novel as its simple and
easy to read. I will
change the
arrangement of them
depending on what's
happening in the story
e.g. I will make a bigger
box if something
important happens
3. Layout 1
I have used word and thought
bubbles for text and speech the
shapes are different when
actions happen e.g. bang in a
jagged bubble the bang being in
this kind of bubble makes it
seem loud like and explosion.
The colours are faded on the
characters because I want the
comic to have a darker tone so I
don’t want it too colourful.
4. Layout 2
For the cover I have it more
colourful so it can stand out to
catch attention ill have the
main focus be the main
character with the main
antagonist be behind in the
background. The title will be a
darker colour so it will contrast
with the brighter colour border
its placed on so it stands out
and can grab peoples attention.
The background will be in black
and white and will be a scene
from the story but nothing too
important so it gives nothing
away. The publishers logo will
be next to the main title so its
in a place where its easy to see
