The game for a start is a classic Mario game which is nowadays known as a retro game. The game is located in the sky and the levels are made in
the sky. The angle is a distance shot all the way throughout the game. You can’t see them, but there are some great effects involved in the
making of this game, such as the sounds and actions during the gameplay. The lighting is decent and is bright enough for the audience to see
everything in the game. The costumes or known as the characters are perfect for this kind of game. There are a mixture of good and bad
characters which makes the game more entertaining for the audience and also makes it challenging, considering the fact that it gets difficult
every level that’s completed. The colours are very bright and easy to see which makes it easier and better for the audience whilst playing the
game. Colours in my opinion make the game better and this game isn't short of colours at all. The fonts at the top of the picture are for the
scoring of players (audience) in the game and is useful for users of the game. The font is also easy to read which is helpful for people with bad
eyesight and is simple and not too complex. This picture would want people to buy it because it’s a retro game that majority of gaming people
enjoy and brings back memories of when people used to play it. People don’t have to buy they could probably play it online somehow and in my
opinion is that it’s a great game and people should at least try it out. People won’t buy it because it’s probably hard to get, so people would go
onto the internet and find it somewhere.

This game is very similar to the one I was just talking about previously. This is a sonic classic called Sonic the Hedgehog and is a really good game
in my opinion. The picture is of the famous starter level Green Hill Zone and is in my opinion the best level sonic has ever made. The location is
around water and a really crazy terrain, or known as the level itself. The angle is the same as the Mario levels, viewed and shot from a distance.
(Out of the three chosen pictures this one is the distance one and the other two are close-ups of the gameplay). This is good way for the
audience to view the game because it’s a good way to play and to know your surroundings whilst playing. Effects are very similar to the Mario
with the bonuses collecting coins and objects sounds. Both the games have sound effects when you either pick something up or walk across it
and this helps the audience recognise that the object has been obtained. The lighting is good in this game and is similar to the Mario game. It has
bright colours which helps the game itself being bright. The props used are within the level if you spot them and are mainly used in the game to
collect. The colours are the main feature that stands out in this picture. The colour in my opinion is helpful whilst I'm playing because it
somehow helps me. It’s different than having it black and white and no colour because it has more of a purpose with colour and effect added to
it. This game will be bought by people because it’s now known as a retro game and people play it back to bring back memories. You can probably
play it on the internet somewhere, somehow and play all the different levels. The audience will like this kind of game because it's fun and has
different features than Mario and other games. Because the games is one of the most famous retro games people still play it now and that will
hopefully encourage people just to give it a go either online or buying it.

This is yet again sonic however it is a different level with a different colour scheme. The level is called Marble Zone and looks completely
different to the first level. The location looks like somewhere underground and is impossible to tell where it is. However, it doesn't doubt the fact
that it’s a good level with different features in it. The angle of the picture is a distance shot but some parts of the level can zoom in forwards and
is a reasonable distance for the audience to view the gameplay from. The effects in this picture in my opinion are hard to spot, however I know
from the gameplay effects are used for collecting coins, getting hurt during gameplay and enemies noises all have a sound each. The sound it
made from the effects used. The lighting is bright, but is in a dark area. It’s a level with dull colours which makes it a level the audience want to
get through. In the background it looks quite dark, but it’s bright at the front where the character is. This shows that the brighter area is going to
be used whereas the background isn’t, it’s just there for effect. Props as said in the previous two are enemies, collectibles an other objects and
thing that can hurt you. The colours like said before are very dull and makes it like a city no-one wants to visit. The colour purple is not the
brightest of colours which make it dull and not as good as the Green Hill Zone level. The fonts are exactly the same as the previous level
annotated and they are clear and easy to see for people with good and bad eyesight. You need to have a simple font for people to see and able
to read. The audience would play this because it’s a level they can progress from when playing the game. This level is straight after the green Hill
Zone which is a good level and people want to get through all the levels on a game or complete it. From this picture the audience would have
thoughts of playing it because it shows what’s in stock when playing the game.
5. Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched products have?
– They all have fonts at the top of the screen to keep the score of the player, or known as a scoreboard. The scoreboard
keeps a handle of everything the player does to gain points and when they lose points.
– They all have colour schemes that suite each level quite well.
• What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?
– I will include the likes of a scoreboard to show the player’s score and to show how well they did.
– I will include a bright colour scheme that my audience will like and will not try to copy any colour schemes off famous
levels.
– I might include some of the enemy characters in my work because they are decent things to add as a little bit of
difficulty and a challenge.
7. Audience Profile
Category Demographic Content to appeal to this audience
Age Range
7+ I will make a good and reasonable bit of content that will be good for 7
year olds and over to play. People under the age of 7 might not
understand what the game means or how to play it.
Gender
Both, mainly male. I put both genders because I think both genders will enjoy my work and
enjoy the type of gameplay I will produce. Also kids at that age or
above are playing these sort of games already and will hopefully like
something new. I put mainly male because it’s mainly male’s that are
into games and into mainly Mario and sonic related games.
Psychographic
Belonger I think Belonger is a reasonable psychographic because it’s a person
that lives a normal life in a house and enjoy family time. The games can
help enjoy family members and others.
Social Status
Any My game will be enjoyable for both genders and all social groups.
There isn’t really a social status for my game because everyone enjoys
it.
