The game is played from side on. The floor is all one colour because there is no need to
have different colours because a football pitch is all made out of grass. There is also no
shadows because there is nothing for a shadow to be on. The animation is very simple,
the characters don’t have any moving or jumping animations, only a trail behind them
when they run, their legs move when they kick the ball. When a goal is scored ‘goal’
comes up in the middle of the screen and the crowd cheer. The characters are usually
football players or famous people, the football players are wearing football clothes and
the famous people are usually wearing suits. All the font that is for the game information
is different to all the other settings and sounds fronts, this is so that it’s easier to focus on
the bits of the text that are important.

The game is viewed from the behind and the map is viewed from above. The use of two
different point of views helps the player understand where they have hit the ball whilst
also being able to play as a character. The use of the box at the top of the screen helps to
show the player that all of the important information about the environment is in one
place and makes it easier to understand. The game is controlled by a power bar on the
bottom and moving where you want to hit the ball. The white bit on the bar indicated
how powerfully you want to hit the ball to get it to the hole. There are no shadows
throughout the game because the textures are so simple that it would complicate it and
make it harder to understand where things were because of the lack of pixels.

The game is played from the side view, the background moves more than Mario does, this
is to give the illusion of him moving without having to move him across the screen. The
text is all on the top of the screen and the same font so that it is all in the same place and
is obviously all for the game because it is the same font. There are no shadows because
the game is made form side on and there is no need for shadows because you wouldn’t
be able to see them. There is a positive sound effect every time that you pick up a coin to
show that it is a good thing and to keep you playing the game to get more. There is not
many animations of Mario. A lot of the moving animations are about 6 different frames
used to create the illusion of movement. The colours are very simple. This is because the
design of the the entire game is very simple and there isn’t many shades of colour. The
music is very catchy so it gets stuck in the players head throughout the day and makes
them want to play the game again. The sound effects and the rewards also make it
satisfying to play

The game is played from side on in it’s 2d mode. The shadows for the game are very
simple, they are placed underneath the character and are just a circle. This is because the
design of the game is very simples and adding in complicated shadows wouldn’t look right
for the theme of the game. The background moves and the characters switch between
only a few positions and a trail comes from behind their feet to give the illusion that they
are running. The music is fast to fit the pace of their running, if it was any slower then it
would give the illusion that they are running slower. The game is supposed to be retro
looking so all of the pixels are visible and the font is supposed to be the classic Nintendo
font which is also why the coloring is very simple without many shades.
