Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Lost Relative
Productā€™s Purpose:
What is the productā€™s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
My products purpose is to make people have fun and enjoy the gameplay. My product will
entertain people and want others to get involved as well. I will make this happen by including
characters that have a good appearance, weapons and powers to do different kinds of things. The
main content to entertain people will be the weapon and superpower that the character(s) will
have. Also killing the enemies in the game will make people enjoy using the different weapons and
tools each character has.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
The genres are adventure and fantasy. The animation is a slideshow going from left to right and a
pixel-art game. It will be an adventure and fantasy game because I will include characters that
have different appearances, weapons, enemies and additional features such as coins and power-
ups. I will make it so the level has challenging obstacles, decent scenery in the background, hills
and jumps.
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
My end product is an adventure / fantasy type of pixel game. The pixel game will include different
characters, landscaped levels and a storyline. The storyline is to find the main characters lost
relative as he thinks heā€™s still live because of some found evidence. The found evidence is a map
and the levels the character has to go through are parts of the map. Thatā€™s the storyline of the
game and the characters are going to be made by myself with their own special features and
weapons. The levels are going to be 2D, similar to the Mario type levels with obstacles and
enemies to get passed. Iā€™m willing to add ideas from the questionnaire that people have suggested
and see how it plans out. The main features Iā€™m going to include in my game are made up
characters with special abilities, enemies made up that look dangerous and hard to defeat and
levels that are 2D with power-ups and obstacles to clear.
Research & Planning
Where will you use elements of your research and planning to influence and inform your final idea
(be specific to certain parts)
The ideas from my initial plans, research and the questionnaire will be used in my final product.
Not all ideas and suggestions will be used, but the ones that I take inspiration from and will fit the
genre will be thought about and maybe added into the pixel game. The main ideas about the
characters and what weapons and special features they will have will be in the gameplay part of
the animation. The storyline will be maintained throughout the animation / pixel game.
The survey results show that my audience want to see this game happen, including some of their
own suggestions from some of the questions. For example last three questions are about the
characters. Which weapon should they have, superpower (if they have one) and their overall
appearance. The quantitative answers from question 9 were 40% for an axe, 30% for Other
answers, and both 15% for sword and gun. This shows that thereā€™s a range of answers in the
question and that my audience want different ideas going into the animation/game. The qualitative
results from my interview were very similar, they had some decent answers that I took into a count
and used in my game. The audience feedback given from the interviews and the survey were
really positive. Because there were some good answers in there, Iā€™m considering of putting some
of those ideas into my game.
The production experiments, research and my pre-production PowerPoints are going to help me
with my final product because I will include some of the things Iā€™ve done in those PowerPoints onto
my work. I made characters on my experiments PowerPoint therefore I can get some ideas off
them.

Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc.
Why would your project appeal to this person?
My target audience is for both genders and is age ranged at 7+. I think my product will suite both
genders and for a reasonable age of 7+ because the game Iā€™m referring mine to is Mario which
has the same age range and is enjoyed by both male and females. It will suit both genders
because fans of Mario is a mixture between both male and female so my game thatā€™s going to
have a similar concept will have be the same with both genders being interested. My game wonā€™t
include anything to complicate people and get them confused. The storyline is simple for people to
figure out and will be easy to figure out controls of it too. The pixel game animation wonā€™t have
controls to use but will be shown on the animation if it was a game. The pixel game will refer to all
social statuses as family, friends and all kinds of people can get involved with the gameplay and
enjoy it. Same with the psychographic, it would be Belonger so family members can get involved
with it instead of someone playing it by themselves. My project will appeal to my audience because
Iā€™m going to include some of the ideas and suggestions from my questionnaire into my game. This
will get my audience involved with my game with their ideas instead of my own.
The social status can be any, however if I were to choose it would be the DE part of the ABC12DE
as the game is affordable for people with not a lot of money. The price of the game is ranged
between Ā£1-Ā£2 so it isnā€™t expensive.
The audience/quantitative results from the survey were really reasonable and positive. I took one
of the answers from the last question. The question was to choose ā€˜what other side products would
you like to see?ā€™ the answers were both 40% for magazine front cover + double page spread and
to design a poster. And the remaining 20% was to design some merchandise. I chose one of those
answers which was the poster and chose one of my own which was an app logo.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
My overall end product wonā€™t include any sort of offensive material to any religion, social groups or
ethnicities. I wonā€™t restrict younger people using my game because the age range is 7+. I will make
sure when making my final product that it doesnā€™t include anything offensive. Iā€™m not going to use
any characters, names or logos in my product that already exist, and myself will make everything. I
will create the characters, the 2D levels and the weaponry pick-ups and power-ups. My product will
be different to others, however it has a similar concept to Mario, but everything will be different as
said previously.
The ASA codes that I would use for talking about my product would be the Compliance and the
Harm and Offence categories. This is because my game has a tiny bit of violence in it, however
the violence isnā€™t too extreme. Thereā€™s only violence when killing the enemy and thatā€™s not much.
My product isnā€™t illegal in any way and wonā€™t lie to anybody when playing the game. For example if
I talked about including a feature in the game and I did include it then thatā€™s not lying to my
audience and is being honest. If I get complaints I have to be truthful and thatā€™s what Iā€™ll do.

My products purpose is to make people have fun and enjoy the gameplay. My product will entertain people and want others to get involved as well. I will make this happen by including characters that have a good appearance, weapons and powers to do different kinds of things. The main content to entertain people will be the weapon and superpower that the character(s) will have. Also killing the enemies in the game will make people enjoy using the different weapons and tools each character has. Genre: What sort of product is it The genres are adventure and fantasy. The animation is a slideshow going from left to right and a pixel-art game. It will be an adventure and fantasy game because I will include characters that have different appearances, weapons, enemies and additional features such as coins and power- ups. I will make it so the level has challenging obstacles, decent scenery in the background, hills and jumps. Content What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If so, discuss it here My end product is an adventure / fantasy type of pixel game. The pixel game will include different characters, landscaped levels and a storyline. The storyline is to find the main characters lost relative as he thinks heā€™s still live because of some found evidence. The found evidence is a map and the levels the character has to go through are parts of the map. Thatā€™s the storyline of the game and the characters are going to be made by myself with their own special features and weapons. The levels are going to be 2D, similar to the Mario type levels with obstacles and enemies to get passed. Iā€™m willing to add ideas from the questionnaire that people have suggested and see how it plans out. The main features Iā€™m going to include in my game are made up characters with special abilities, enemies made up that look dangerous and hard to defeat and levels that are 2D with power-ups and obstacles to clear. Research & Planning Where will you use elements of your research and planning to influence and inform your final idea (be specific to certain parts) The ideas from my initial plans, research and the questionnaire will be used in my final product. Not all ideas and suggestions will be used, but the ones that I take inspiration from and will fit the genre will be thought about and maybe added into the pixel game. The main ideas about the characters and what weapons and special features they will have will be in the gameplay part of the animation. The storyline will be maintained throughout the animation / pixel game. The survey results show that my audience want to see this game happen, including some of their own suggestions from some of the questions. For example last three questions are about the characters. Which weapon should they have, superpower (if they have one) and their overall appearance. The quantitative answers from question 9 were 40% for an axe, 30% for Other answers, and both 15% for sword and gun. This shows that thereā€™s a range of answers in the question and that my audience want different ideas going into the animation/game. The qualitative results from my interview were very similar, they had some decent answers that I took into a count and used in my game. The audience feedback given from the interviews and the survey were really positive. Because there were some good answers in there, Iā€™m considering of putting some of those ideas into my game. The production experiments, research and my pre-production PowerPoints are going to help me with my final product because I will include some of the things Iā€™ve done in those PowerPoints onto my work. I made characters on my experiments PowerPoint therefore I can get some ideas off them.
  • 2. Proposal 2 Audience: Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Why would your project appeal to this person? My target audience is for both genders and is age ranged at 7+. I think my product will suite both genders and for a reasonable age of 7+ because the game Iā€™m referring mine to is Mario which has the same age range and is enjoyed by both male and females. It will suit both genders because fans of Mario is a mixture between both male and female so my game thatā€™s going to have a similar concept will have be the same with both genders being interested. My game wonā€™t include anything to complicate people and get them confused. The storyline is simple for people to figure out and will be easy to figure out controls of it too. The pixel game animation wonā€™t have controls to use but will be shown on the animation if it was a game. The pixel game will refer to all social statuses as family, friends and all kinds of people can get involved with the gameplay and enjoy it. Same with the psychographic, it would be Belonger so family members can get involved with it instead of someone playing it by themselves. My project will appeal to my audience because Iā€™m going to include some of the ideas and suggestions from my questionnaire into my game. This will get my audience involved with my game with their ideas instead of my own. The social status can be any, however if I were to choose it would be the DE part of the ABC12DE as the game is affordable for people with not a lot of money. The price of the game is ranged between Ā£1-Ā£2 so it isnā€™t expensive. The audience/quantitative results from the survey were really reasonable and positive. I took one of the answers from the last question. The question was to choose ā€˜what other side products would you like to see?ā€™ the answers were both 40% for magazine front cover + double page spread and to design a poster. And the remaining 20% was to design some merchandise. I chose one of those answers which was the poster and chose one of my own which was an app logo. Legal & Ethical Considerations: Think about any offensive material you will include? Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright infringement? My overall end product wonā€™t include any sort of offensive material to any religion, social groups or ethnicities. I wonā€™t restrict younger people using my game because the age range is 7+. I will make sure when making my final product that it doesnā€™t include anything offensive. Iā€™m not going to use any characters, names or logos in my product that already exist, and myself will make everything. I will create the characters, the 2D levels and the weaponry pick-ups and power-ups. My product will be different to others, however it has a similar concept to Mario, but everything will be different as said previously. The ASA codes that I would use for talking about my product would be the Compliance and the Harm and Offence categories. This is because my game has a tiny bit of violence in it, however the violence isnā€™t too extreme. Thereā€™s only violence when killing the enemy and thatā€™s not much. My product isnā€™t illegal in any way and wonā€™t lie to anybody when playing the game. For example if I talked about including a feature in the game and I did include it then thatā€™s not lying to my audience and is being honest. If I get complaints I have to be truthful and thatā€™s what Iā€™ll do.
