3. Process
• To begin my front cover I place my main image in the centre of the page and
made sure I had space for different images and text to show off what would be
inside the magazine. I then started on the masthead by looking through different
fonts online until I found a bold but cartoony font. With this I then placed it
behind the main image. I also found a font for the issues title and placed that in
front of the main image centre page and used a colour grade to make the text
switch between red and white. After getting the centre of the magazine finished I
then began of the sides of the cover. To begin I gave the top of the magazine a
ribbon to add a plug. I then used a free barcode to make the barcode look unique.
After that I started creating bubbles to place images inside. Following the bubbles
I then placed the images with a 50% opacity on top of the bubble, then edited
them to look clean inside the bubble and increased the opacity back up to 100%
5. Process
• To begin my double page I first split the page using guide lines so I knew
what it could look like in my head, I then placed my images into the
document and scaled them to estimated sizes for text to fit between. I then
opened Microsoft word to create the text for my magazine, I did this by going
through convention details and using my own personal knowledge. Following
having my information I placed I carefully onto the page. I then added a
stroke to the images to make them easier on the eyes to look at. After my
page look close to finish I added a font to the titles that complemented the
front page font and used an image of stitching to split 2 of the 4 segments.
