Max created a school magazine cover and contents page. For the cover, he took a photo of the school field for the background and added a masthead logo created on Logo Garden. The cover text uses hyperbole and highlights the magazine's school pride. The contents page lists page numbers and topics in columns for clarity. If redoing it, Max would spend more time editing images and fonts to improve readability.
2. How I started my cover
• The first thing I done was created my feature article photograph
I used the magic eraser tool and clicked on the background
to get rid of the green screen. This went well for me as
it instantly took out all of the green screen.
• After that, I went out to take a photo of the school field for my
mise-en-scene. I did this by using the bright colours of the blue sky, the green grass
and the happy face to create a positive feeling and positive semantic field in the magazine.
Next I created my Masthead. To make this I used a website called Logo Garden
aaaaaa (http://www.logogarden.com). This website allows you to create and design
aaaaaaa your own logo and the input this logo into my magazine.
3. Next part of my magazine
• After My masthead/logo I started to look at the text I could put into my cover.
• I started by looking at my Puff “The best school magazine!”. I used
hyperbole in my cover so it would seem more appealing towards the
reader.
• After that I looked at my plug “C to A* grades throughout the whole
a of William De Ferrers”. This was just a small head line of the main feature
athem that would be in my Magazine.
• Also looking at my magazine I used a house style. To
stick with the school colours I used a lot of green in my cover.
This helped me stay with the same style and colour throughout
the whole of the magazine.
• The tone I have used is to show success and to show pride in the
school. I have done this by using the adjective “Best” in my
Plug and my Puff

• In my Contents page I used columns to line up my text and

a I did this be putting all of my page

• I also used a title to show what the
p page was about.

5. What would I do better…
• If I was to redo my magazine I would
of took more time in editing my
background and my main image so that when I put text over
the top it would be completely visible to everyone. Also to do
this I would be able to look at the different
types of font and colours to make the different
parts of text stand out.
• Also if I was to do my school magazine again
I would of spent more time on the right lighting
on the feature article photograph and the
background.
