2. Who would be the audience for your media product?
• The target audience that this film is for are people from the age of 16-25 years old. As they are
younger they are much more impressionable and therefore will be more open to give this film a
chance. The popular genre for people of that age group are horror and thriller films which is
what my film falls into.
• As my character appear to be lonely and looks like an outcast, the audience members that are
like this, are able to have someone that they are able to relate to and would not feel like they
are alone as many people feel the same way.
• There is no preferred gender or religion that the target audience should be but as the
protagonist is a female, this gives dominance to females as it is clear that the character is
powerful and important as she is the main person the audience see. And Mandy is an intelligent
being as she is able to discover the mysteries regarding the Paris attacks which contradicts the
stereotypes of women which feminists would very much enjoy.
• The audience for this genre and the themes within this film, are those youngsters that are
underestimated and misunderstood. This is due to the audience misunderstanding the
character within the opening of the film as they perceived her a weak however she contradicts
this as she dedicate her time into finding out why people have forgotten the Paris attacks in
2015.

society. Regarding food they shop at:McDonalds, Nandos, Dominos
etc.
• They do not go to the cinema often, only around 5 times a year hence
why marketing is crucial in order to gain their attention about the
film.
• Mostly, they watch films on Amazon Prime and Netflix, so releasing
this film later on these online streaming sites would also help with its
success and recognition.
5. Feedback from the audience about the opening
• “I could not help but tense up because the music made it clear that something bad was
waiting to happen to her.”
• “I loved the shot where the character walks towards the camera and we see the article on
the floor, it made her look very important and intriguing because we could not see her face
properly, very mysterious.”
• “The theme in this film is very interesting and different as this is a real theory that is going
around, it makes you think that maybe events as big as this may actually be forgotten one
day.”
• These comments were said by two people within the target age group of this film, 17 and a
19 year old. They both picked up on the genre e of this film instantly due to the music and
what they found most fascinating was the two opposite articles, and the poster which left
them confused and wanted to find out as to why that was the case.
