When looking at this existing
product I can see that even
though the product is modern it
follows a more lighter colour
scheme compared to most
modern products that follow a
darker colour scheme. This
product also has the character in
the centre of the magazine, the
magazine editors do this to show
and intrigue the consumer into
maybe buying the game. It is clear
that this magazine in particular is
aimed towards fans of batman and
the batman games, as that is the
main focus of the magazine.
3. Existing Product
When analysing this product I can see that
the colour scheme is very bleak and grey.
The editors have done this to set with the
tone of the game that the magazine is
advertising. This is done to appeal to the
audience of games like there, very dark and
bleak style games, therefore it draws in fans
of the game or people interested in the
game. As with the other magazines the
main character is placed in the middle of
the magazine this is done to show the
consumers what the video game looks like,
it intrigue consumers into looking more into
the video game.
4. Existing Product
When analysing this product I can see that unlike
the other magazines there is more than one focus
point on this magazine cover. I can see that on the
cover there is a main focus point with that being
the video game Mass Effect: Andromeda. Yet there
are three more focus points being another video
game on the left and two more on the right. I can
also see that the magazine follows it’s own colour
scheme whereas the other two magazines follow
the colour schemes of the video games they are
advertising.

have?
– One common feature in the products I have researched is that they all feature
the character of their main focus in the middle of the magazine, even when
advertising other products.
– Another common feature is that each magazine has stuck to a certain colour
scheme that goes with the product they are advertising.
• What aspects of the research will you include within
your on work?
– One aspect I will include is following the colour scheme of the game to fit with
the magazine, I will also place the main character in the middle.

popular and existing products and take
elements to attract consumers towards my
magazine.

Middle Class • I could advertise the magazine with a cheap
price tag to draw in my audience as they are
middle class so they don’t have a lot of money
to spend on magazines.
