1. A- Analyze Learners:
My learners are a group of 21 second graders that range from 7 to 8 years old. 11 of them are
boys and 10 of them are girls. 80% of them are Caucasian, 10% are African American, and 10%
of them are Hispanic.
S- State Objectives:
My 2nd grade students will become aware of our planet’s needs and develop ways to meet
them after watching videos, singing songs, playing games, and making their own videos by the
end of the week with 90% accuracy.
S- Select methods, media, & materials:
Some media formats that I will use are posters, Photoshop, twitter, blogs, YouTube, and
WebQuests.
U: Utilize media & materials:
I will preview the materials, prepare the material, prepare the environment, prepare the
learners, and provide a learning experience.
R: Require learner participation:
My students will participate by looking at the posters I created. They will follow a twitter
account to learn more about the topic. They will look at my blog about the topic. They will
watch many videos about the topic. They will also complete a WebQuest about the topic.
E: Evaluate & revise:
To evaluate my students I will ask them questions each day on what we went over in class. I will
also evaluate them on how well they work in their groups and how well they do on their actual
video. I will review over how well each student did throughout the week. If I feel as if they did
not achieve what they were supposed to, I will plan to add more about the topic in the next
week’s lessons.
