Themes of Shakespeare s Measure for Measure Revealed in Angelo s Soliloquies
Angelo s soliloquies (2.2.161 186; 2.4.1 30) express themes of the tragicomic form,
grace and nature, development of self knowledge, justice and mercy, and creation and
death as aspects of Angelo s character.
By the theme of the tragicomic form I mean that which qualified extremes and
promoted a balanced condition of mind [...] It employed a mixed style, mixed
action, and mixed characters passing from side to side, it works amongst contraries,
sweetly tempering their composition . (Guarini s Compendio della Poesia
Tragicomica (1601) cited in Lever lxi lxii). I take Measure for Measure s tragicomic

He says as much in his first soliloquy he rots rather than blooms under virtuous
influence (2.2.164 167). The crux of Angelo s soliloquy is Most dangerous / Is that
temptation that doth goad us on / To sin in loving virtue (2.2.180 182). This
equivocation signifies Angelo s transition from condemning to embracing his love.
Unused to thinking of love (of a novice) as anything other than foul, Angelo acts
accordingly. Later he laments forgetting his grace (4.4.31).
There are also shades of the theme of justice and mercy (Lever lxiii) in Angelo s
soliloquies. To this point Angelo has maintained a precisionist, inhuman (merciless)
approach to law enforcement. To this point two characters have asked him to consider
that he might behave as Claudio had in similar circumstances. In lines 2.2.174 176 he
at last entertains that argument. Angelo becomes an example of a legalistic or
spiritual concept encountering interference from the realities of human existence
within a character. Lines 2.4.7 9, The state, whereon I studied, [...] also signify
movement to a middle way in his approach to law.
The theme creation and death (Lever lxxxiii) surfaces too. Angelo has condemned a
man to die for a creative act, an act Angelo has interpreted to be destructive. Not only
is Angelo feeling the stirrings that lead to procreation, his language uses the image of
pregnancy, [...] the strong and swelling evil / Of
I Am Deathly Afraid Of Throwing Up
Sweat trickled down my eyebrow. I barely opened my eyes and saw a tiny sliver of
light peeking through my window. I almost fell back asleep that day, and I would
have missed class if not for my dog. Winston always has a way of knowing when it
is time to get me up. He jumped on my belly, and I knew it was time for us to start
the day. Every day is the same day, same routine, and same Olivia. Ever since I was
young, I have loved routine. Well, not so much loved it, but I had to have it. The
earliest memory I have of my practices was at the age of five. I am deathly afraid of
throwing up, otherwise known as Emetophobia. The thought, feeling, even seeing
films with people throwing up, bothers me. I made a pact with myself to keep
calm. I promised that if I did a certain routine every night for bed, I would not get
sick the next day. It became habit, and habit became life for me. My illnesses
progressed as I grew older, but my mindset never changed: order produces healthy
and happy. I never fault from my routine, and if I ever did panic would ensue.
Today was one of those days. As soon as my feet hit the floor, I knew something
was odd. Then I felt it between my toes, cat litter. The gritty feeling was almost
impossible to scrape away, but I soon cleaned it off my toes. The litter box must
have been a playground for the kittens the night before. I NORMALLY vacuum
every night according to my chalkboard hanging above my bed. In fact, I had
checked every item off the list. Fold
Schindler s List Comparison
The feature film Schindler s List was the movie adaptation of the novel, Schindler s
Ark by Thomas Keneally. It was said that the story was told to the author by the
Pfefferberg family, survivors and members of Schindler s Jews. This black and white
docudrama was a fictional film that has a high degree of factuality. Steven Spieldberg
s purpose of creating the movie in this fashion was to document the atrocities of the
Holocaustof World War II, while giving the film a connection to the audience.

These moments defined him as a businessman. They truly didn t touch him. His
moment came during the cleansing of the ghetto. He was atop the hill looking
down on all that lay beneath. The gun shots, the shouts and cries echoed for all to
hear. And out of the darkness he saw a young girl in a red coat. This was the only
color in the entire film. It was his pivotal moment. That young girl represented the
innocence and the humanity that the Jewish people had been denied. The realization
had dawned on Schindler as the full weight of the reality hit him. From that moment
on during the film, Schindler was a changed man. His efforts to secure his people
went from a purely economic standpoint, to a more altruistic motive. Schindler
created the list in the film, although through the research of many it has been found
that the full story isn t as cut and dried. The original list was created by Raimund

Introduction:
Disaster has become the most emerging topic of recent times. But managing them
totally is still not being possible even by the developed countries. Different scholars
defined the term differently. A disaster is a serious disruption of the functioning of a
community or a society involving widespread human, material, economic or
environmental losses and impacts, which exceeds the ability of the affected
community or society to cope using its own resources. In contemporary academia,
disasters are seen as the consequence of inappropriately managed risk. These risks
are the product of a combination of both hazard/s and vulnerability. Hazards that
strike in areas with low vulnerability will never become disasters, as is the case in
uninhabited regions. Developing countries suffer the greatest costs when a disaster
hits more than 95 percent of all deaths caused by hazards occur in developing
countries, and losses due to natural hazards are 20 times greater (as a percentage of
GDP) in developing countries than in industrialized countries. Disasters are again
classified among categories like Natural Disaster and Man Made Disaster. A natural
hazard is a natural process or phenomenon that may cause loss of life, injury or other
health impacts, property damage, loss of livelihoods and
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Ever since I was able to open my eyes, I ve watched countless movies from
countless of different movie franchises. I ve watched some of the best movies ever
made, and some of the worst movies ever made too. That includes watching the
movies made from small and unknown movie franchises to large and famous
franchises. Watching movies is like a hobby for me; every weekend, I would
watch a brand new movie in the theatre or search for a amazing movie that I have
not seen before. With the experience of watching a countless number of movies, I
know out of all the movie franchises, Marvel Cinematic Universe is by far the best
movie franchise, having the highest movie ratings and the largest Worldwide Box
Officeand Domestic Box Office. Marvel Cinematic Universe has made 22 movies
so far, but only released 17, and those 17 have been amazing to watch. The movies
have the highest average on Rotten Tomatoes. The average Rotten Tomatoes is
about 83%, which is relatively high considering it is the average. Rotten Tomatoes
is a system to determined by people whether the movie is good or bad. It is in
percentages, the higher the percentage the better the movie is. The most recent
movie, Spider man Homecoming was especially entertaining to watch. It has 92%
Rotten Tomatoes which is outstanding. The movie with the highest rating from
Marvel Cinematic Universe of 94% Rotten Tomatoes is Iron Man (Giles). Iron Man
was actually the first movie that Marvel had produced and released. It was a
Strengths Of Nike
STRENGTHS:
Nike+ has much strength that differentiates it from its competition. In example, the
main strength of Nike+ is that it is the first of its kind. Prior to the Nike+, runners
used several devices to calculate their time, heart rate, and calories burned which were
often cumbersome to runners and caused hassle and inaccuracies. In addition, they
did not have the amount of features existent in the Nike+/iPod Nano combination
which allows a runner to listen to music and receive running statistics (calories
burned, time elapsed, distance run, etc.). In addition to Nike+ s features, a runner
may also customize their own workout. Through this functionality, the runner may
sync certain music for different points in their workout to serve as motivation.
Additionally, the consumer may also plug their results into iTunesand share specific
songs with friends and family. Because this product is the first of its kind, it fills an
empty market. In summary, this product is unique, convenient, and technologically
advanced.
Another strength that the product has is its coalition with the iPod. Although the
Nike+ and the iPod are sold separately, a very strong partnership has been developed
between the two. Nike, as well as Apple, has a very strong reputation with its
customers as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the product is already exceedingly advanced in technology, it still has
room for advancement. To illustrate, the Nike+ is paving the way for exercise
criteria devices. The product can not only advance with its developments but it can
advance with its use. In addition to being used for running, it can advance into other
sports and uses as well. Because the brand is extremely popular among our targeted
segments, there are also opportunities to expand the brand to newer models, clothing
apparel lines, and other accessories such as
Magna Carta Historical Documents
DSPA There was many documents that influenced the writing of the constitution.
Some people may say we stole parts from them, but I believe we borrowed them and
made them better. We made them better because they were now part of the United
States of America. From the Magna Carta to the Articles of Confederation, writings
all around the world influenced the US constitution. Even though we copyrighted
some of the constitution it is still one of the most ingenious writings in the world.
The first document to influence the constitution was the Magna Carta. The Magna
Carta declared everyone was subject to law, even the king. It also said that no one
could be put through cruel or unusual punishment. Another thing it said was the
everyone had the right to a fair trial and justice. Magna Carta means great charter in
latin. It also included the right to speedy trial. The Magna Carta influenced many
parts of the constitution. The first thing it influenced was that the king and
government were bound to the same laws as the citizens. This means that the king
and the government weren t above the law, just like the president and US
government. Another thing that is similar is the right to a fair and speedy trial just
like in the bill of rights. The last area that is similar is that no one could be put
through cruel and unusual punishment. That is just one of many historical documents
that influenced the constitution.
The second historical document was the Mayflower Compact. The

4. Advantages of the Star Network Design
It is the most cost effective strategy for cash strapped businesses with no special
emphasis on security. Sometimes the cheapest design doesn t always translate into
the easiest design. In this case, the translation is a success. The hub will serve as the
intermediary between the computers and the internet (via cable modem). Also, in this
case, easy design also translate into easy troubleshooting of any network problem.
The star network allows troubleshooters to isolate issues on the network instead of
taking the entire local network offline. Moreover, the star network implies direct
data flow from the computers (via hub) to the internet instead of the data flowing
through the nodes first. Hence, speed is a benefit of such a network. In addition,
because of the direct data flow methodology (nodes to hub to modem to internet and
vice versa), the data is safe. Finally, the star network allows for expansion of nodes,
hubs, and gateways without losing any of the networks advantages listed on this
page. The owner plans to eventually add 7 more computers to the network. My
recommendation is to purchase an additional hub to manage the 7 additional
computers. Also, an additional modem is needed for load balancing purposes.

Persuasive Essay On Hurricanes
When was the last time you or your family were affected by the path of a
hurricane? How was your experience? Some hurricanes can leave devastation, but it
can be more dangerous if you don t prepare and expose your family to the hazards
during the landfall and aftermath. To be fully prepared in the event of a and have
ways of staying informed and keep family entertained to avoid anxiety hurricane you
must have an emergency evacuationplan. Gather essential supplies, protect one s
home, and have ways of staying informed and keep the family entertained to avoid
anxiety or panic attacks. I have lived in P.R., a tropical island, until two years ago
when I moved to the US. Hurricanes in my memory, when growing up, were school
time off. It was also seen as time to spend with family, watching the windmove the
trees and rain fall. Having a strict diet due to galactosemia, I didn t find it enjoyable
eating canned meat and crackers. So far P.R. has been lucky, almost twenty years of
avoiding even a category one force hurricane. Until now, hurricanes seem to change
their path up to two hundred miles away. Many answered last minute prayers
disintegrating into tropical storms with little or no impact. Like in P.R, society first
tries to lower anxiety levels by not watching the news. The first step will be to have
an emergency plan that includes an evacuation plan. Utilities services will be
affected. PR often implements preventive maintenance on utilities seventy two hours

Explain what is meant by The Population Bomb and to what extent do you agree that
this bomb has been diffused.
Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food
supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100 200 million people
per year will be starving to death during the next ten years. Paul Ehrlich, Stanford
University biologist
The population bomb theory was made popular by Paul Ehrlich s 1968 book The
Population Bomb , Ehrlich posited that that population growth will increase unabated
until a tipping point is reached where food supplies can no longer sustain the growth
resulting in a devastating collapse , characterized by famine and wars (Ehrlich 1968).

Major progress has been made in curbing population growth. The United Nations
Population facts August 2010 states that there has been substantial declines in
fertility, total fertility in the rest of the developing world(excluding the least
developed countries) declined by about 50 per cent between 1970 1975 and 2005
2010: from 5.0 to 2.5 children per woman. Additionally fertility in the least
developed countries dropped by 34 per cent since 1970 1975, from 6.7 to 4.4 children
per woman. Bangladesh is exceptional with a reduction of over 60 per cent, from
6.9 children per woman in 1970 1975 to an estimated 2.4 in 2005 2010.
Annual growth rates and the annual absolute increment of world population are
falling. The growth rate peaked at 2.1 per cent per year in the late 1960s and has
since fallen to 1.5 per cent (see table 1), and the annual absolute increment to
population peaked at about 87 million per year in the late 1980s and is now about
81 million. Population statistics from some key areas seem to indicate that there is
a diffusion of the bomb in terms of population growth, most of Southern and Eastern
Europe now registering fewer than 1.4 babies per woman. Northern Europe is a
little higher but still below replacement levels. Japan 1.3, South Korea1.3, China 1.8,
Thailand 1.8, and even Vietnam 2.1 all have fertility rates well below par (Pearce
2008).

Persuasive Essay On Police Brutality
Police brutality is the extreme misconduct against civilians by police officers by
ways of ranging from beating, sexual abuse, killing, and harassing
(BRITANNICA). Although, police officers are given jurisdiction to use discretion
on their reason and use of force, some officers take advantage of their limits and
exercise excessive force. It is inappropriate and unacceptable for a uniformed
police officer to unnecessarily harm citizens (HUFF POST). Police brutality of a
defenseless citizens can lead to protests, riots, and public outrage. When tensions
occur, complaints by citizens are often never investigated due to law enforcement
s desire to cover up the mistreatment and because police brutality is difficult to
prove depending on the scenario. The case of Rodney King, racial discrimination,
NFL protests, body cameras, excuses, and the September 11th terrorist attacks were
all affected by the misconduct and violence brought upon by police brutality.
Rodney King was an African American man whose beating by the Los Angeles
police officers was videotaped and displayed to all of the United States. He was
involved in a high speed car chase when police officers, Laurence Powell, Timothy
Wind, Theodore Briseno, and Stacey Koon, forcefully pulled him from his car and
violently beat him. The trial was held in Simi Valley, a primarily white community,
and obtained a jury of no African American members (BIOGRAPHY). The jury s
decision was to acquit the officers which activated the
The Truth About God, By Oliver Wendell Holmes
I believe that as a Christian we should be as concerned, if not more so, than any
other concerned non believers. We as Christians, have been given the truth about
God, His creation and His will. When it comes to His creation He is very detailed
about His plans in creating the earth for His people and His purpose (HCSB.
Genesis 1:26 30). Sadly, many Christians have fallen into the category quoted by
Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., Some people are so heavenly minded that they are no
earthly good. Their time here on earthhas been fogged by the aspirations of glory. The
contributors of this wasted life is ignorance, greed, and selfishness. Furthermore, our

Times have changed, and so has the family, the community and our environment.
And these changes have impacted our lives and earth immeasurably. This is where
the factor greed comes in to play, the need for more. This need for more called for
extensive measures, measures like fertilizers, pesticides and equipment to work the
ground and harvest the crops became necessity. Agriculture became a booming
business that did not and still does not promote the well being of the employee nor
the individual let alone the family unit and community. Since 1950 an average farm
size has doubled, but the number of laborers decreased substantially and the number
of small local farmers has been cut in half. Farmers have been forced to become
more efficient and there s been a reliance on greater chemicals and technology, which
has become very extensive and expensive. Sadly, what has been short term expansion
has become a long term threat (Trautmann, 2012). This greed driven increase has led
to subtle damaging ramifications that most people are ignorant to. Their needs are
being met as quality is being forsaken. Our environment is being squandered.
Selfishness abounds.
Interestingly, in an article by Robert B. Laughlin titled what the earth knows, I find
myself frustrated with the idea that common sense tells us that damaging something

stresses the importance of having a partner who is willing to split the roles at home
so that the time and workload is 50/50. She believes that just as women must be more
empowered at work, men must be more empowered at home. Admitting that this
easier said than done, it ends up being better for everyone. In chapter 9, The Myth of

Similarities Between Hitchcock And Bergman
1. Hitchcock introduced the two principles characters at the very beginning of the
movie, which took place at Ingrid Bergman s house and used some special angels
and. Bergman was serving and greeting with guests of the party in her house. The
whole scene of Bergman social with guests was shot with the back of Carey Grant

her guests, the camera followed her, I believe Hitchcock used the technique of

the audience to wonder what is the deal here at Alex house and we care for the

romantic struggle through out the film. I think the most remarkable thing of this film
is when the friends of Alex ask him to come back to the house and have something to
ask him. This left the audience mind to imagine what is going to happen to Alex and

the most debatable text within the Old Testament. In the twenty fifth year of
Ezekiel s exile, God instructed him to look and listen carefully by paying close
attention to everything that he was shown. Not only was he supposed to see, hear
and grasp, he also had to provide this information to Israel (Ez 40:4) . The vision was
to provide hope, a spiritual renewal and a future depiction of Israel s restoration.
Although the prophet Ezekiel, in chapters 40 48, delineated an imaginative depiction
of a future temple, ancient and modern scholars view the text as problematic and
devise exceptional challenges in its interpretation. Both scholars and theologians

Understanding biblical prophecy will help to dispel most questions pertaining to
who the text was written for and for what manner, eschatological suppositions, and
present and future application. Secondly, it is important to understand biblical
prophecy and Scripture so that a connection can be drawn between the Old and New
Testament, and how it relates to Christ and his impending return. Many parishioners
desire to comprehend what will take place during the end times, obtain a clearer
picture of how the Millennial kingdom will look, and what role will they assume as
a Christian. Being able to put the pieces in a logical sequence will help them to
understand those things in which they do not
Ghana Stereotypes
Another one of the stereotypes European historians had claimed was that Africa
had no progress; nevertheless, Africa had been progressing so much over the
centuries that passed. Indeed, a passage from Through African Eyes declares,
Ghana had superior technology... excellent organization (Leon E. Clark). That is,
Ghana had developed so many things, such as the art of iron work, in which it had
came to a point where spears could be made as it gave Ghana an advantage in the
field. Ghana had also an advanced and organized social structure where the
subordinate kings and governors, who ruled throughout the empire, received
protection and the right to rule their local areas as long as they paid their final
allegiance and money to the king. So too,
Essay on The Lessons of The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is a novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the 1920 s. The novel
is narrated by a young man named Nick Carraway, who moves to West Egg, New
York to learn more about the bond business so he can eventually sell bonds. He
moves into an average house in between two huge mansions, so in comparison his
average house looks like a small, run down shack. One of the owners of those
mansions, and Carraway s new neighbor, is Jay Gatsby. Gatsby has huge extravagant
parties every night and one day invites Carraway personally, which he never does.
Gatsby is never seen at his own parties and no one really knows who he is though
there are many rumors about whether he even exists or not and about what type of
person he is. But he makes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scott Fitzgerald grew up in a poor family and didn t want to end up like his parents
who he saw as failures. He was taught to act like a gentleman and eventually got
accepted into an Ivy League school. When he got there he was blinded by visions
of every one loving him and wanted to be well known and loved by them all. The
duration of his college days was spent partying and writing plays. After college he
decided to join the war. One night he attended a dance for soldiers and met a girl
there. He was certain he fell in love with her on the spot and was crazy over her to
the point where he was almost obsessed. This girl was wealthy unlike he was, and
eventually her father made them break up because in his mind rich girls don t
marry poor boys . Fitzgerald was completely distraught over the break up and
missed her dearly. He kept all her letters to him and made them into a little
makeshift book. He was later deported to Alabama to begin training, and just as his
regiment was to be shipped out, the war ended. He was never able to fight and that
upset him, but he still imagined himself a war hero nonetheless. He met a girl in
Alabama named Zelda and fell in love with her and married her. They had one child
Dances With Wolves Similarities
History Through Film Compare and Contrast Essay
Over the past nine weeks, we have watched three movies. The two movies that
stood out were Dances with Wolves and Tombstone. Dances with Wolves was
released in 1990 by director Kevin Costner and tells the story of a white army man
bonding with the Sioux Indians. Tombstone was released in 1993 by directors
George P. Cosmatos and Kevin Jarre and tells the story of Wyatt EarpВґs time as
officer in Tombstone. Both movies have many similarities and differences. Some
similarities and differences can be found in the setting, events, characters traits, and
directors style.
Dances with wolves takes place in the 1860Вґs of Colorado. However, the film was
shot in North Dakota.
Tombstone takes place in the 1880Вґs of a small town in Cochise County, Arizona.
The film was also shot in Arizona too.

Dances with wolves ended with the lovers walking away from the Sioux land and
text explaining the events that followed. Tombstone takes a similar approach by
using guns and revenge to appeal to the male audience and love between the main
character and an actor in the movie to appeal to the female audiences. It also has a
similar ending where the lovers dance after all that has happened. However, there
are differences in the events of the two movies. Dances with wolves tells the story
of a white soldier adapting to the Sioux way of life before his very own army came
and destroyed the Sioux tribe. Tombstone is completely different by instead of
indians, there are cowboys and Wyatt Earp must protect his town from the crime they
Greek Theatre History
Theatre has been an evolutionary cultural superpower since the beginning of Greek
theatre to the society impacting shows of Broadway. Although theatre is all the same,
each social cultural construct twisted theatre into it s own tradition and values. Greek
theatre for example used theatre to honor the gods; Dionysus in specific. Compared
to Roman theatrewhere the Romans love to used comedy, and spectacle. Japanese
theatre however, has a long rich history and was twisted to the Japaneses traditions
and works.
There are four main types of traditional theatre in Japan: Noh, Kyogen, Kabuki, and
Bunraku. Each form is very distinct and unique from each other. Noh theatre also
known as Nogaku is a form of musical drama. Derived from the Sino Japanese ...

Translated as the art of singing and dancing some people interpret Kabuki as
bizarre and shocking. Unlike Noh, Kabuki used more lively tactics to entertain it s
audience using wild costumes, fireworks and real swords in sword fighting.
Kabuki first started in 1603 when Izumo no Okuni, a shrine maiden began
performing a new style of dance. The style immediately grew popular and Okuni
was asked to perform for the Imperial court. Rival troupes then formed and Kabuki
was born. Since Kabuki was a women on performance, performers were also
available to prostitution. With performances going from morning to sunset,
Kabuki became a common form of entertain in the 1600s and is argued that Kabuki
started pop culture in Japan. It wasn t till the Shogunate disliked Kabuki for being
to erotic and open to prostitution, it was banned in 1629. Young boys then played in
Kabuki, but was banned as well due to the young boys being eligible for
prostitution. Kabuki then switched to male actors in the mid 1600s and when
back to it s traditional ways of males playing both male and female roles. The
Genroku era (1673 1841) became the golden age of Kabuki theatre. The structure
of Kabuki was formalized and coventail characters types were established. A
Kabuki stage features a projection called Hanamichi ,a walkway that extends out to
the audience and allows entrances and exits to be made. A curtain that shields the
stage before and during breaks is in traditional colors of black, red , and green.
White also can replace the green if needed and is one continuous piece of fabric. An
additional curtain called a doncho depicts the season the performance is taking place,
but wasn t used until the Meiji Restoration. Kabuki stages have gotten more
technology advance unlike Noh stages which stayed the same. Trap doors and
revolving stages were introduced in the eighteenth century and stage tricks
Symbolism In A Rose For Emily By William Faulkner
Love can distill rage into individuals when it is not mutual. In A Rose for Emily by
William Faulkner, things begin to go south as Emily Grierson encounters her biggest
fear: change. Ms. Emily is viewed as a monument and chore to her community. After
her father s death, her world seems to flow accordingly behind his passing.
Meanwhile, her emotional health declines in conjunction with her physical
surroundings. Emily Grierson suffers from emotional decay due to isolation by her
father, unrequited love, and unrealistic expectations from the townspeople causing her
to embrace murder.
Although Ms. Emily s father was dead, he still had mental control over her
endeavors. She was left feeling vulnerable and open to love from a male. Emily
knew no love outside of her father s grasp. Faulkner writes how after her father s
death, people hardly saw her at all (sec.2 para.2). It was understood around the
community that no man was good enough for Ms. Emily, according to her father.
Faulkner expresses symbolism as he describes Emily as a slender figure in white in
the background... and her father as a spraddled silhouette in the foreground...
clutching a horsewhip (sec.2 para.13). By describing her father as a silhouette ,
Faulkner directly foreshadows her father s role in her current life succeeding his
death. He acts as a shadow behind her, foreshadowing her long term emotional
instability. Because of his confinement, Ms. Emily was robbed of the experience of

Planning
In the planning phase, a Project Charter is provided to all management, stakeholders
and those with significant authority over the company. The Project Charter
essentially defines the project. It contains the objectives of the project describing the
deliverables, while also containing a description of the criteria used to assess when
each section is completed, risk assessments and identifies stakeholders and
management (Documentation Consultants, n.d.). The Project Management Plan is
also produced during the planning phase. It contains the project s schedule and
milestones, required resources and cost estimations and budgets.
To start off the planning you must study the current system with the people involved
(such as clients, employees or management). These groups would have meetings to
discuss areas of the system that could be improved and suggest possible solutions. In
these meetings, agendas are given out so that everyone knows what the objectives
are. Notes are recorded to be reviewed during requirements analysis.
Also included in the analysis phase is a feasibility study. As the name would suggest
it simply assesses if the new system is feasible within the budget and manpower of
the company. (Overton, 2007)
It would determine if the project should even be started and if would it be possible to
make it within the budget
The Invention Of The Electron Microscope By Ernst
Ruska...
In the scientific community, there have been many advancements in the technologies
and processes used to help us understand the truth of the world around us. The
invention of the electron microscope by Ernst Ruska and Max Knoll in 1933 is just
an example of one of these advancements. There is another advancement that has
roots over one hundred and sixty million years old, and that is the green fluorescent
protein(GFP). The fluorescence from GFP molecules has made it feasible to look
through a microscope at a spatial resolution higher than the diffraction limit. The
green fluorescent proteinwas first found in the Aequorea Victoria, or the crystal
jellyfish. It is a bioluminescent hydrozoan jellyfish, or hydromedusa (1). In the
crystal jellyfish, there are two proteins that are responsible for its bioluminescent,
aequorin and GFP. They are both located in the photo organs of the jellyfish. The
jellyfish releases calcium ions which the aequorin binds to. The process of binding
gives off a blue light, which is then absorbed by the GFP. The blue light absorbed is
then converted into the green light that GFP is named for (2). At the moment there
is no apparent reason for the bioluminescence displayed by the Aequorea Victoria
since it has not been observed being used as a defense mechanism or as a signalling
mechanism. Osamu Shimomura was the first person to isolate the GFP. He started to
study the bioluminescence of crystal jellyfish at Princeton University in 1960 and he

Thomas Jefferson Failures
Thomas Jefferson once said, When the people fear the government there is tyranny,
when the government fears the people there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson believed the
best government was the one that governs the least . Jefferson stressed how a small
government with limited powers is most likely to leave the people alone and have
them enjoy the Blessings of Liberty. Furthermore, Thomas Jeffersonwas a man who
had numerous accomplishments in his life. He was the author of the Declaration of
Independence, author of the Virginia Statute of Religious Freedom, founder of the
University of Virginia, and the third President of the United States. His strict
interpretation of the Constitution was due to his belief that the charter was designed
to provide the people with a say in governmental affairs. Mr. Jefferson won the
approval from the working class because he fought for them and not the powerful
interests of the wealthy. Although Jefferson was a vocal and active leader in the
rights of states, his recommendation of the Embargo Act and his support of the Non
Intercourse act resulted in his failure as the Commander In Chief.
While Thomas Jefferson s tenure in office proved to be a failure, he was successful
in some aspects of his presidency. His Inaugural Address of 1801 was very
empowering and centered around the theme of reconciliation. Jefferson talked about
how we are all Federalists and Republicans. Jefferson stressed in his speech on how
we must remain united, not
Federal Student Loans
iii.Case Study
A comparative analysis with the U.S. experience will be introduced to clarify why a
sharp increase in student loan defaults happened after the financial crisis of 2008 and
how it is going to end as well as identify default prevention initiatives to alleviate high
default rates. The resources from the federal student aid data center, the data available
through the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and
Baccalaureate and Beyond (B B) of the U.S. Department of Education can be used
for this comparative analysis. Based on comparison of different types of federal
student loans and in depth reviews of the process and status of loan defaults,
following guiding questions relate to student loan debts will be answered:
1)Why education debts rise significantly in the U.S. and whether borrowers with
student loans are worse off over time or not?
2)Does a student loan bubble necessarily lead to financial hardships of student
borrowers?

should it be ended?
Through the case study, this part will then discuss how to implement early
intervention on student borrowers who may potentially default, the pre feasibility
study of bringing in Income Based Repayment Plan to China, and improvements in
student loan forgiveness program. Options to change the interest rate and other terms
in student loan agreements will also be discussed.

Cuba
Cuba s current gross national income per person of $5,890 (Talley), enormous debt,
and other poor economic conditions can be explained by events tracing back post
World War II in 1945. The island of Cuba was inhabited by different Mesoamerican
cultures but introduced to European cultures in 1492 with the arrival of Christopher
Columbus. Spain began to colonize Cuba among other Caribbean islands in the 16th
century and utilized the island as a stopping point before the New World. This all
changed when the collapse of Haiti initiated a sugar boom causing Cuba to emerge as
a major world sugar producer. Freedom from Spain was finally gained with the help
of the United States after the Spanish American War when the Treat of Paris was
signed. About three years later, the Platt Amendment was passed which provided the
United States control and great influence in Cuba s domestic and international affairs.
The United States control was further strengthened after World War II when
Fulgencio Batista became President of Cuba in 1952. But this created many issues
which fueled the Cuban Revolution ending in 1959 when Fidel Castro overthrew
Batista, propelling Cuba into a new era of communism. The period of decolonization
for Cuba after World War II sparked a surge of nationalism which helped Fidel Castro
dissolve American political, economic, and diplomatic ties as well as establish a
communist regime after the Cuban Revolution.

investment for research purposes. According to Data Monitor report Dell has
relatively weak research, development and engineering (R amp;D) capabilities
compared to its major competitors. The company s R amp;D spending has been
lower than its competitors. Dell s R amp;D expenses were $661 million, $624

contrast, its main competitors such as HP reported R amp;D spending of $3,000

A Study On Image Detection
Chapter 3. Image Detection 1.Introduction Using right algorithm, can make image
sensor sense or detect practically anything. Image sensors are one of the important
sensors been used in robotics industry because they are so flexible, but there are
two drawbacks with these kind of sensors: 1)they output lots of data, dozens of
megabytes per second, and 2) processing this amount of data can overwhelm many
processors. And even if the processor can keep up with the data, much of its
processing power won t be available for other tasks. Pixy cmucam5 solved these
two problems by intelligent way, it faced and solved these problems by paring a
powerful dedicated processor with the image sensor. Now pixy can processes
images from the image sensor and only sends the useful information (e.g. position
of object been assigned before by giving its x and y orientation) to whatever
microcontroller you have. This microcontroller then use this data as input then
process it to the actuators. Pixy does this data analyzing and processing at rate
(50Hz). And information which processed by pixy can available through several
interfaces: UART serial, SPI, I2C, digital out, or analog out. So it is easy to
communicate with pixy with Arduino or any other microcontroller and at the same
time still have a very large or plenty of CPU available for other tasks. Fig (1) I/O

Characteristics Of Shakespearean Tragedy
2. SHAKESPEAREAN TRAGEDY
Shakespearean tragedy is the title given to most tragedies written by the playwright
William Shakespeare. Shakespearean tragedy began, roughly speaking, with marked
indebtedness to the tragic writing of Marlowe and Kyd: poetry, character, and style
from Marlowe; motive, plot, and tragic intensity from Kyd. No evidence suggests
Shakespeare was ever particularly aware of or influenced by, Aristotelian theories of
tragedy . (Bevington, 1980) The plays we usually have in mind when we think about
Shakespearean tragedy are the classics like Titus Andronicus (written between 1590
94), Romeo and Juliet (1594 96), Julius Caesar (1599), Hamlet (1599 1601), Othello
(1603 04), King Lear (1605), Macbeth (1606 07), Antony and Cleopatra (1606 07),
and Coriolanus (1608) derived from Plutarch. Troilus and Cressida, Timon of Athens,
and Cymbeline were listed as tragedies in the First Folio. Characteristics of a
Shakespearean tragedy are found in many of his histories, but since they are from real
figures throughout England s history, they were classified as histories in the First
Folio. Exceptions from this are the Roman histories, also from historical figures:

I take a deep breath as I remember what had happened between Avery and me in the

And I shouldn t be happy she touched me back the way she had. But am I. I close my

with memories that will be taken as a new chapter in the life of the narrator/singer

hold onto memories and solidify them in history. The image a Polaroid creates is
seen as a personal piece of someone s life that they are able to take with them and
look back on in times when it is needed most. The song and the lyrics depict this
technology perfectly. The fact that one of the biggest celebrities of our modern era,
Selena Gomez mentions the Polaroid makes it extremely relevant and even calls more
attention to it than it usually receives, pulling it back into the cultural scene of 2017

Health Care Access in Arizona Recently the Untied States top priority has been to
provide accessible and affordable health care to every American. Those that lack
access to coverage find it much more difficult to seek proper treatment and when they
do they maybe left with astronomical medical bills. The CommanWealth Fund found
that one third or thirty three percent of Americans forgo health care because of costs
and one fifth or twenty percent are thus left with medical bills that have problems

Governor Brewer also planned on taxing hospitals in order to receive funds for the
program. Her reasoning in doing so is because Arizona already charges a two
percent insurance premium tax and a provider tax on nursing homes (Roy, A. 2013).
She also feels that by expanding Medicaid, hospitals will start to receive payment
for services that would have otherwise not been paid for by those who are
uninsured. For those adults with children that are not eligible for Medicaid but their
income is not enough for private insurance, KidsCare was an option until it froze in
January 2010 due to a cost cutting effort. KidsCare is a state sponsored insurance
program for low income families that is part of the federal Children s Health
Insurance Program (CHIP). Arizona is currently the only state that does not have a
CHIP program which forces families that were on the program to partake in the
health care exchange and pay for private insurance or forgo health coverage and be
uninsured (Whiteman, M., 2014). The number of children covered at the time of the
program freeze went from 45,000 to about 2,000, which was a ninety five percent
drop (Whiteman, M., 2014). Governor Jan Brewer proposed to restore coverage to
thousand of children through KidsCare II, where Phoenix Children s Hospital,
Maricopa Integrated Health System, and the University of Arizona Health Network
would pull money together and receive extra federal funds. The federal funds that the

Zlata And Anne Frank Comparison Essay
Based off my background of Zlata s Diary and The Diary of Anne Frank, I can tell
that Zlata and Anne Frank are very similar. One way they are similar is because they
both went through war, and kept a diary of all their occurrences. A second similarity
the both have is that their diary was basically like their best friend during the wars the
went through. Lastly, they were both around the same age when they started the war
and writing in their diaries.
One difference between Zlata and Anne Frank is that Zlata was in the Bosnian war,
and Anne Frank was in the Holocaust. Another difference is that Anne Frank was
born a long time before Zlata, making her obviously older. Lastly, Anne Frank did
die, and Zlata didn t by the end of the book/war. ... Show more content on

Anne Frank barely had any freedom, for the sake of her life. Zlata as well, but she
was able to do some things Anne Frank was not able to do. Another difference is that
Anne Frank had many more people involved with her than Zlata. Zlata had her
parents and some of her other relatives, Anne Frank had her family and other friends
as well. Zlata really never talked a lot about her friends, for a long time at least.
Throughout Zlata s Diary Zlata did change her character. She had thought that the
war would not really affect her, or she did not really know much about it. During
the middle of the war, she became very scared but soon got used to all the gunfire
and bombing. At the end, she felt much more happy and relieved since she got
recognized because of her experience and diary.
In The Diary of Anne Frank, Anne Frank did change. At first, she did not think she
would be affected by the Holocaust. Soon, Hitler started moving into where she
lived, and taking away the rights of Jewish people. And at the end of the book, she
did die. She was hiding in her attic for 2 years, trying to get away from the
Minimum Wage Is A Issue
Minimum wage is a contentious issue only because it is debated by a vast and
eclectic audience that cares for the heart of the matter. Minimum wage is at the
source of the economist s main interest; in pursuit of discovering its connection to job
loss. Countries all around the globe, maintain minimum wage laws without any
noticeable fluctuation. For this reason, it is coming to an apparent importance to
policy makers everywhere. Those that tend to earn a minimum wageare mainly
coming from low income and minority families. The minimum wage has attracted
attention from social activists all over as well. The topic is perhaps most
intriguing to the average, normal class American. At some time in our long but
short lives, almost every single person has been paid at the minimum wage. Due to
this, it is of popular debate over dinner, at restaurants, and in the typical American
living room. More importantly it s now being, and sort of always has been
discussed by those of our government. The United States of the 1990 s is a country
of increasing disparity and poverty; where the wealthy are moving ahead while at
the same time the working class falls even further behind. In this economic
phenomenon, the middle class virtually is disappearing from society. One of our
many major defenses to make sure those of the working class is receiving a fair
wage, is legislation providing for the one. While several oppositions of the minimum
wage cite labor supply and demand concerns with a

Themes of Shakespeare s Measure for Measure Revealed in Angelo s Soliloquies Angelo s soliloquies (2.2.161 186; 2.4.1 30) express themes of the tragicomic form, grace and nature, development of self knowledge, justice and mercy, and creation and death as aspects of Angelo s character. By the theme of the tragicomic form I mean that which qualified extremes and promoted a balanced condition of mind [...] It employed a mixed style, mixed action, and mixed characters passing from side to side, it works amongst contraries, sweetly tempering their composition . (Guarini s Compendio della Poesia Tragicomica (1601) cited in Lever lxi lxii). I take Measure for Measure s tragicomic form as its major theme, or perhaps meta theme, ... The crux of Angelo s soliloquy is Most dangerous / Is that temptation that doth goad us on / To sin in loving virtue (2.2.180 182). This equivocation signifies Angelo s transition from condemning to embracing his love. Unused to thinking of love (of a novice) as anything other than foul, Angelo acts accordingly. Later he laments forgetting his grace (4.4.31). There are also shades of the theme of justice and mercy (Lever lxiii) in Angelo s soliloquies. To this point Angelo has maintained a precisionist, inhuman (merciless) approach to law enforcement. To this point two characters have asked him to consider that he might behave as Claudio had in similar circumstances. In lines 2.2.174 176 he at last entertains that argument. Angelo becomes an example of a legalistic or spiritual concept encountering interference from the realities of human existence within a character. Lines 2.4.7 9, The state, whereon I studied, [...] also signify movement to a middle way in his approach to law. The theme creation and death (Lever lxxxiii) surfaces too. Angelo has condemned a man to die for a creative act, an act Angelo has interpreted to be destructive. Not only is Angelo feeling the stirrings that lead to procreation, his language uses the image of pregnancy, [...] the strong and swelling evil / Of
  • 4. I Am Deathly Afraid Of Throwing Up Sweat trickled down my eyebrow. I barely opened my eyes and saw a tiny sliver of light peeking through my window. I almost fell back asleep that day, and I would have missed class if not for my dog. Winston always has a way of knowing when it is time to get me up. He jumped on my belly, and I knew it was time for us to start the day. Every day is the same day, same routine, and same Olivia. Ever since I was young, I have loved routine. Well, not so much loved it, but I had to have it. The earliest memory I have of my practices was at the age of five. I am deathly afraid of throwing up, otherwise known as Emetophobia. The thought, feeling, even seeing films with people throwing up, bothers me. I made a pact with myself to keep calm. I promised that if I did a certain routine every night for bed, I would not get sick the next day. It became habit, and habit became life for me. My illnesses progressed as I grew older, but my mindset never changed: order produces healthy and happy. I never fault from my routine, and if I ever did panic would ensue. Today was one of those days. As soon as my feet hit the floor, I knew something was odd. Then I felt it between my toes, cat litter. The gritty feeling was almost impossible to scrape away, but I soon cleaned it off my toes. The litter box must have been a playground for the kittens the night before. I NORMALLY vacuum every night according to my chalkboard hanging above my bed. In fact, I had checked every item off the list. Fold

It was said that the story was told to the author by the Pfefferberg family, survivors and members of Schindler s Jews. This black and white docudrama was a fictional film that has a high degree of factuality. Steven Spieldberg s purpose of creating the movie in this fashion was to document the atrocities of the Holocaustof World War II, while giving the film a connection to the audience. They truly didn t touch him. His moment came during the cleansing of the ghetto. He was atop the hill looking down on all that lay beneath. The gun shots, the shouts and cries echoed for all to hear. And out of the darkness he saw a young girl in a red coat. This was the only color in the entire film. It was his pivotal moment. That young girl represented the innocence and the humanity that the Jewish people had been denied. The realization had dawned on Schindler as the full weight of the reality hit him. From that moment on during the film, Schindler was a changed man. His efforts to secure his people went from a purely economic standpoint, to a more altruistic motive. Schindler created the list in the film, although through the research of many it has been found that the full story isn t as cut and dried. The original list was created by Raimund Tisch, parts were edited, lost and recreated with substitutions. The quote by Itzak Stern The list is an absolute good. The list is life. JANKI ANDHARIA SUBMITTED BY: PARTHA DAS ENROLLMENT: M2015DM040 COURSE: MA/MSC IN DISASTER MANAGEMENT (2015 17) PAPER: MDM2 Disasters, Vulnerability and Risk Introduction: Disaster has become the most emerging topic of recent times. But managing them totally is still not being possible even by the developed countries. Different scholars defined the term differently. A disaster is a serious disruption of the functioning of a community or a society involving widespread human, material, economic or environmental losses and impacts, which exceeds the ability of the affected community or society to cope using its own resources. In contemporary academia, disasters are seen as the consequence of inappropriately managed risk. These risks are the product of a combination of both hazard/s and vulnerability. Hazards that strike in areas with low vulnerability will never become disasters, as is the case in uninhabited regions. Developing countries suffer the greatest costs when a disaster hits more than 95 percent of all deaths caused by hazards occur in developing countries, and losses due to natural hazards are 20 times greater (as a percentage of GDP) in developing countries than in industrialized countries. Disasters are again classified among categories like Natural Disaster and Man Made Disaster. A natural hazard is a natural process or phenomenon that may cause loss of life, injury or other health impacts, property damage, loss of livelihoods and

I ve watched some of the best movies ever made, and some of the worst movies ever made too. That includes watching the movies made from small and unknown movie franchises to large and famous franchises. Watching movies is like a hobby for me; every weekend, I would watch a brand new movie in the theatre or search for a amazing movie that I have not seen before. With the experience of watching a countless number of movies, I know out of all the movie franchises, Marvel Cinematic Universe is by far the best movie franchise, having the highest movie ratings and the largest Worldwide Box Officeand Domestic Box Office. Marvel Cinematic Universe has made 22 movies so far, but only released 17, and those 17 have been amazing to watch. The movies have the highest average on Rotten Tomatoes. The average Rotten Tomatoes is about 83%, which is relatively high considering it is the average. Rotten Tomatoes is a system to determined by people whether the movie is good or bad. It is in percentages, the higher the percentage the better the movie is. The most recent movie, Spider man Homecoming was especially entertaining to watch. It has 92% Rotten Tomatoes which is outstanding. The movie with the highest rating from Marvel Cinematic Universe of 94% Rotten Tomatoes is Iron Man (Giles). Prior to the Nike+, runners used several devices to calculate their time, heart rate, and calories burned which were often cumbersome to runners and caused hassle and inaccuracies. In addition, they did not have the amount of features existent in the Nike+/iPod Nano combination which allows a runner to listen to music and receive running statistics (calories burned, time elapsed, distance run, etc.). In addition to Nike+ s features, a runner may also customize their own workout. Through this functionality, the runner may sync certain music for different points in their workout to serve as motivation. Additionally, the consumer may also plug their results into iTunesand share specific songs with friends and family. Because this product is the first of its kind, it fills an empty market. In summary, this product is unique, convenient, and technologically advanced. Another strength that the product has is its coalition with the iPod. Some people may say we stole parts from them, but I believe we borrowed them and made them better. We made them better because they were now part of the United States of America. From the Magna Carta to the Articles of Confederation, writings all around the world influenced the US constitution. Even though we copyrighted some of the constitution it is still one of the most ingenious writings in the world. The first document to influence the constitution was the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta declared everyone was subject to law, even the king. It also said that no one could be put through cruel or unusual punishment. Another thing it said was the everyone had the right to a fair trial and justice. Magna Carta means great charter in latin. It also included the right to speedy trial. The Magna Carta influenced many parts of the constitution. The first thing it influenced was that the king and government were bound to the same laws as the citizens. This means that the king and the government weren t above the law, just like the president and US government. Another thing that is similar is the right to a fair and speedy trial just like in the bill of rights. The last area that is similar is that no one could be put through cruel and unusual punishment. That is just one of many historical documents that influenced the constitution. The second historical document was the Mayflower Compact. The

Advantages of the Star Network Design It is the most cost effective strategy for cash strapped businesses with no special emphasis on security. Sometimes the cheapest design doesn t always translate into the easiest design. In this case, the translation is a success. The hub will serve as the intermediary between the computers and the internet (via cable modem). Also, in this case, easy design also translate into easy troubleshooting of any network problem. The star network allows troubleshooters to isolate issues on the network instead of taking the entire local network offline. Moreover, the star network implies direct data flow from the computers (via hub) to the internet instead of the data flowing through the nodes first. Hence, speed is a benefit of such a network. In addition, because of the direct data flow methodology (nodes to hub to modem to internet and vice versa), the data is safe. Finally, the star network allows for expansion of nodes, hubs, and gateways without losing any of the networks advantages listed on this page. The owner plans to eventually add 7 more computers to the network. My recommendation is to purchase an additional hub to manage the 7 additional computers. Also, an additional modem is needed for load balancing purposes.

In A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner, things begin to go south as Emily Grierson encounters her biggest fear: change. Ms. Emily is viewed as a monument and chore to her community. After her father s death, her world seems to flow accordingly behind his passing. Meanwhile, her emotional health declines in conjunction with her physical surroundings. Emily Grierson suffers from emotional decay due to isolation by her father, unrequited love, and unrealistic expectations from the townspeople causing her to embrace murder. Although Ms. Emily s father was dead, he still had mental control over her endeavors. She was left feeling vulnerable and open to love from a male. Emily knew no love outside of her father s grasp. Faulkner writes how after her father s death, people hardly saw her at all (sec.2 para.2). It was understood around the community that no man was good enough for Ms. Emily, according to her father. Faulkner expresses symbolism as he describes Emily as a slender figure in white in the background... and her father as a spraddled silhouette in the foreground... clutching a horsewhip (sec.2 para.13). By describing her father as a silhouette , Faulkner directly foreshadows her father s role in her current life succeeding his death. He acts as a shadow behind her, foreshadowing her long term emotional instability. Because of his confinement, Ms. Emily was robbed of the experience of any intimate

In the scientific community, there have been many advancements in the technologies and processes used to help us understand the truth of the world around us. The invention of the electron microscope by Ernst Ruska and Max Knoll in 1933 is just an example of one of these advancements. There is another advancement that has roots over one hundred and sixty million years old, and that is the green fluorescent protein(GFP). The fluorescence from GFP molecules has made it feasible to look through a microscope at a spatial resolution higher than the diffraction limit. The green fluorescent proteinwas first found in the Aequorea Victoria, or the crystal jellyfish. It is a bioluminescent hydrozoan jellyfish, or hydromedusa (1). In the crystal jellyfish, there are two proteins that are responsible for its bioluminescent, aequorin and GFP. They are both located in the photo organs of the jellyfish. The jellyfish releases calcium ions which the aequorin binds to. The process of binding gives off a blue light, which is then absorbed by the GFP. The blue light absorbed is then converted into the green light that GFP is named for (2). At the moment there is no apparent reason for the bioluminescence displayed by the Aequorea Victoria since it has not been observed being used as a defense mechanism or as a signalling mechanism. Osamu Shimomura was the first person to isolate the GFP. He started to study the bioluminescence of crystal jellyfish at Princeton University in 1960 and he and

Jason Lee Captain Czak History 300 21 October 2016 Cuba Cuba s current gross national income per person of $5,890 (Talley), enormous debt, and other poor economic conditions can be explained by events tracing back post World War II in 1945. The island of Cuba was inhabited by different Mesoamerican cultures but introduced to European cultures in 1492 with the arrival of Christopher Columbus. Spain began to colonize Cuba among other Caribbean islands in the 16th century and utilized the island as a stopping point before the New World. This all changed when the collapse of Haiti initiated a sugar boom causing Cuba to emerge as a major world sugar producer. Freedom from Spain was finally gained with the help of the United States after the Spanish American War when the Treat of Paris was signed. About three years later, the Platt Amendment was passed which provided the United States control and great influence in Cuba s domestic and international affairs. The United States control was further strengthened after World War II when Fulgencio Batista became President of Cuba in 1952. But this created many issues which fueled the Cuban Revolution ending in 1959 when Fidel Castro overthrew Batista, propelling Cuba into a new era of communism. The period of decolonization for Cuba after World War II sparked a surge of nationalism which helped Fidel Castro dissolve American political, economic, and diplomatic ties as well as establish a communist regime after the Cuban Revolution.

According to Data Monitor report Dell has relatively weak research, development and engineering (R amp;D) capabilities compared to its major competitors. The company s R amp;D spending has been lower than its competitors. Dell s R amp;D expenses were $661 million, $624 million respectively, during financial year 2011 and financial year 2010. By contrast, its main competitors such as HP reported R amp;D spending of $3,000 million and $2,800 million in financial year 2010 and 2009; and IBM reported R amp;D spending of $6,026 million and $5,820 million, respectively, in financial year 2010 and 2009. Furthermore, the company s R amp;D spending as percentage of total revenues was 1.1% in financial year 2010, compared to HP (2.4%), and IBM (6%) (Data Monitor report). These numbers shows that Dell is lacking inputting impetus to its R amp;D wing which may impact its growth in highly competitive, rapidly changing and dynamic technology market. • 33. A Study On Image Detection Chapter 3. Image Detection 1.Introduction Using right algorithm, can make image sensor sense or detect practically anything. Image sensors are one of the important sensors been used in robotics industry because they are so flexible, but there are two drawbacks with these kind of sensors: 1)they output lots of data, dozens of megabytes per second, and 2) processing this amount of data can overwhelm many processors. And even if the processor can keep up with the data, much of its processing power won t be available for other tasks. Pixy cmucam5 solved these two problems by intelligent way, it faced and solved these problems by paring a powerful dedicated processor with the image sensor. Now pixy can processes images from the image sensor and only sends the useful information (e.g. position of object been assigned before by giving its x and y orientation) to whatever microcontroller you have. This microcontroller then use this data as input then process it to the actuators. Pixy does this data analyzing and processing at rate (50Hz). And information which processed by pixy can available through several interfaces: UART serial, SPI, I2C, digital out, or analog out. So it is easy to communicate with pixy with Arduino or any other microcontroller and at the same time still have a very large or plenty of CPU available for other tasks. • 34. Characteristics Of Shakespearean Tragedy 2. SHAKESPEAREAN TRAGEDY Shakespearean tragedy is the title given to most tragedies written by the playwright William Shakespeare. Shakespearean tragedy began, roughly speaking, with marked indebtedness to the tragic writing of Marlowe and Kyd: poetry, character, and style from Marlowe; motive, plot, and tragic intensity from Kyd. No evidence suggests Shakespeare was ever particularly aware of or influenced by, Aristotelian theories of tragedy . (Bevington, 1980) The plays we usually have in mind when we think about Shakespearean tragedy are the classics like Titus Andronicus (written between 1590 94), Romeo and Juliet (1594 96), Julius Caesar (1599), Hamlet (1599 1601), Othello (1603 04), King Lear (1605), Macbeth (1606 07), Antony and Cleopatra (1606 07), and Coriolanus (1608) derived from Plutarch. Troilus and Cressida, Timon of Athens, and Cymbeline were listed as tragedies in the First Folio. Characteristics of a Shakespearean tragedy are found in many of his histories, but since they are from real figures throughout England s history, they were classified as histories in the First Folio. Exceptions from this are the Roman histories, also from historical figures: Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, and Coriolanus. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Is Macbeth tempted to sin by the weird sisters and his wife, or is the choice to murder Duncan ultimately his? To what extent is man responsible for his tragic fate? (Bevington, 1980) The psychological aspect in his tragedies is impressive. I think the most impressive thing is that even after more than 400 years we can still study his characters and their decisions from different

  • 36. Why I Shouldn t Get Back Into The Apartment Essay I wake with a tap against one of my boots. Dim streaks of light, grey and increasing, are filtering through a nearby door. How did I get back into the apartment? For a moment I stare at the ceiling trying to remember what happened last night, then everything comes rushing back. My headache and how Avery found me. I take a deep breath as I remember what had happened between Avery and me in the alley. I shouldn t have done it. I shouldn t have touched her the way I did last night. And I shouldn t be happy she touched me back the way she had. But am I. I close my eyes, as I again feel the tingle of her fingers as she d brushed them against my arm. I can t believe I d kept myself from kissing her, I d wanted to, that had been for sure. I groan this is no way for a soldier to act. Something thumps against my boot, and I sit up, ignoring the dull ache behind my forehead. i m not the only one in the room. Sitting across from me is Adam, Avery s friend, and one of his hands are full of small rocks. I glance down at my feet, to find rocks scattered around them. I look back at him my eyes narrowed. Adam stare at me, whistling as he drops the remaining rocks on the ground beside him. It s hard to believe that I could want to hurt who had been so sick just a short time ago, but I do. Nice collection you have there, he says. Did I do something to you that I m unaware of? I demand. I sink my fingers into the ground at my sides and squeeze the dirt. I don t know if you realize

HCA255 Health Care Access Health Care Access in Arizona Heidi Haugen Grand Canyon University: HCA 255 February 1, 2015 Health Care Access in Arizona Recently the Untied States top priority has been to provide accessible and affordable health care to every American. Those that lack access to coverage find it much more difficult to seek proper treatment and when they do they maybe left with astronomical medical bills. The CommanWealth Fund found that one third or thirty three percent of Americans forgo health care because of costs and one fifth or twenty percent are thus left with medical bills that have problems being able to pay. Governor Brewer also planned on taxing hospitals in order to receive funds for the program. Her reasoning in doing so is because Arizona already charges a two percent insurance premium tax and a provider tax on nursing homes (Roy, A. 2013). She also feels that by expanding Medicaid, hospitals will start to receive payment for services that would have otherwise not been paid for by those who are uninsured. For those adults with children that are not eligible for Medicaid but their income is not enough for private insurance, KidsCare was an option until it froze in January 2010 due to a cost cutting effort. KidsCare is a state sponsored insurance program for low income families that is part of the federal Children s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Arizona is currently the only state that does not have a CHIP program which forces families that were on the program to partake in the health care exchange and pay for private insurance or forgo health coverage and be uninsured (Whiteman, M., 2014). The number of children covered at the time of the program freeze went from 45,000 to about 2,000, which was a ninety five percent drop (Whiteman, M., 2014). Governor Jan Brewer proposed to restore coverage to thousand of children through KidsCare II, where Phoenix Children s Hospital, Maricopa Integrated Health System, and the University of Arizona Health Network would pull money together and receive extra federal funds. Minimum wage is at the source of the economist s main interest; in pursuit of discovering its connection to job loss. Countries all around the globe, maintain minimum wage laws without any noticeable fluctuation. For this reason, it is coming to an apparent importance to policy makers everywhere. Those that tend to earn a minimum wageare mainly coming from low income and minority families. The minimum wage has attracted attention from social activists all over as well. The topic is perhaps most intriguing to the average, normal class American. At some time in our long but short lives, almost every single person has been paid at the minimum wage. Due to this, it is of popular debate over dinner, at restaurants, and in the typical American living room. More importantly it s now being, and sort of always has been discussed by those of our government. The United States of the 1990 s is a country of increasing disparity and poverty; where the wealthy are moving ahead while at the same time the working class falls even further behind. In this economic phenomenon, the middle class virtually is disappearing from society. One of our many major defenses to make sure those of the working class is receiving a fair wage, is legislation providing for the one. While several oppositions of the minimum wage cite labor supply and demand concerns with a
