This document provides details for a print advertising project promoting a solo artist named COLE. The project includes creating an advert for a music magazine and a poster to display around London. Photographs were taken of the artist sitting at a drum kit from a low angle to make them appear as though looking down at the audience on stage. Inspiration was drawn from other concert posters using gradients and bright colors. The model chosen resembles Coldplay's Chris Martin and is actually a drummer, allowing them to look authentic playing during the shoot. Requirements and plans are outlined for the model's appearance, wardrobe, hair, makeup, location, and timing of the photo shoot.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Unit 15 lo2 photo shoot plan template
1. Unit 15 – Print Based Advertising
Project title: Unit 15 – Print Based Advertising
Project:
Project Description:
This project will consist of taking photos for an advert and a poster for a solo
artist called COLE. The advert will be going in my music magazine that I have
created called Rock Dance. The poster will be going up on walls around London.
The project will consist of me making the poster and advert look very appealing
and eye catching to the target audience.
Photographer:
The photographer for this project will be Miss Oliver. Miss Oliver took a wide
range of angle shots of me sitting at a drum kit. I decided to use the low angle
shot as this made me look like I was looking down on the camera. The Shot looks
like the artist is on stage and what your seeing is what the audience would see
from standing up. The lighting for this shot has to be fairly bright as the
background I have chosen is a dark colour. I have used the gradient tool, which
makes the dark colour at the bottom slowly fade up to the brighter colour at the
top. So the image has been kept fairly bright to stand out in front of the
background. I have decided to apply no effects to the image.
Reference images and ideas:
Reasons behind the title inside this box (connotations)
The reason why I have used the name COLE for the title of this advert will be
because it’s the surname of the artist. It’s very short and easy to remember the
name. COLE is used to promote the artists name. The artists will be become well
known because of the name.
2. Unit 15 – Print Based Advertising
I have decided to use these images as a source of inspiration because I like the
choice of colours used. The gradient tool is something that has been used to fade
the colour from dark to light. The tour poster on the left is a band that produces
music that my solo artist is as well. This means that the poster is a good source of
inspiration because the style is something that I want to use to make appealing
towards my target audience.
Casting:
3. Unit 15 – Print Based Advertising
These images are suitable for the shoot because they connote that the model is a
drummer. The model is sat at a drum kit in one shot; the other is a close up with
the drumsticks. The reason why I have chosen this person to be the model is
because the model is actually is a drummer. This means that In the shoot the
drummer can look like he really is performing in the shoot. The model also looks
like Chris Marti from Cold Play. Cold Play produces the same music genre songs
as the same as my solo artist COLE.
