The reproductive system allows humans to reproduce. The male reproductive organs include the testicles which produce sperm and the penis. The female reproductive organs include the ovaries which produce eggs and the uterus. Fertilization occurs when a sperm joins an egg, beginning the process of development from an embryo to a fetus over nine months, culminating in birth.
