4.65 billion years ago, a solar nebula collapsed, forming planets, asteroids, and other bodies. The outer planets like Jupiter are made mostly of hydrogen and helium, while terrestrial planets like Earth contain more iron and silicates. Early Earth had varying atmospheric conditions, with Mars having a thin cold atmosphere and Venus a thick, hot one dominated by carbon dioxide. Around 540 million years ago, the Cambrian Explosion occurred, resulting in a rapid diversification of multicellular animal life and the appearance of most modern animal phyla. Following mass extinctions, mammals diversified and filled ecological niches once dominated by dinosaurs.
The universe began about 14.4 billion years ago.
The Big Bang Theory states that, in the beginning, the universe was all in one place.

Compress 13 bilion years of the earth's history into a single day and here is how it looks. Humans don't appear until 1 minute and 17 seconds to midnight.
Human civilization has existed for a very short time on Earth. If we take the existence of Earth as equivalent to one year in time. Then human civilisation only appears on the last second of the last hour of the last day in the Earth’s year. Human has been fighting each other since the beginning of history. In the last century, we had two World Wars, when millions were killed. But I am the luck generation that miraculously never experienced wars, although the drums of wars are never too far away. We have arsenals of weapons that could destroy the world many times over. In my life time, I have also seen many of our children, marrying people of different races too. Our greatest enemy is ourselves. If we can survive this, there is the whole universe to explore. Finally, just remind ourselves that the longest Ice Age on Earth lasted for well over 1 billion years long and our civilisation is only 10,000 years old. 16 Jan 2022.
Earth science is a broad spectrum of science that covers life science and physical science. Life science is all about the study of living organisms and their relationships including biology, anatomy, ecology, etc.
Origin of life-where did life come fromArosek Padhi
this chapter prompts you to wonder where did life as we know it came from. this is a presentation from Dr.Tithi Parija (asst professor) from KIIT school of biotechnology including different theories from different thinkers and scientists
Origin of Earth, Big Bang theory, Nebular hypothesis, Internal heating of earth, formation of Earth's crust and inner structure, evolution of continents, oceans and atmosphere, continental drift theory, origin of life, Geological Time Scale.
The geologic time scale, or geological time scale, (GTS) is a representation of time based on the rock record of Earth. It is a system of chronological dating that uses chronostratigraphy (the process of relating strata to time) and geochronology (scientific branch of geology that aims to determine the age of rocks). It is used primarily by Earth scientists (including geologists, paleontologists, geophysicists, geochemists, and paleoclimatologists) to describe the timing and relationships of events in geologic history. The time scale has been developed through the study of rock layers and the observation of their relationships and identifying features such as lithologies, paleomagnetic properties, and fossils. The definition of standardized international units of geologic time is the responsibility of the International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS), a constituent body of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS), whose primary objective[1] is to precisely define global chronostratigraphic units of the International Chronostratigraphic Chart (ICC)[2] that are used to define divisions of geologic time. The chronostratigraphic divisions are in turn used to define geochronologic units.[2]
While some regional terms are still in use,[3] the table of geologic time presented in this article conforms to the nomenclature, ages, and color codes set forth by the ICS as this is the standard, reference global geologic time scale – the International Geological Time Scale.[1][

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
7. Solar Nebula
Asteroid
4.65 billion years ago a Solar Nebula, a cloud of gas and dust, collapsed! It’s particles condensed
forming planets, asteroids, and other smaller bodies. Most of the matter compacted to form….
11. Varying Atmospheres
Mars-- Cold, all water is frozen. Atmosphere 100
times thinner than Earth’s. Clouds of ice and
frozen CO2 drift over the surface.
!
Venus-- A stifling inferno! Surface temperatures
greater than 8600 F. Atmosphere 100 times thicker
than Earth’s, made up almost completely of CO2.
!
Earth-- A developed Carbon Cycle keeps Earth
habitable. Temperatures vary over the planet but
remain liveable.

56. What is The Cambrian Explosion?
“The rapid diversification of multicellular animal life that took place around the beginning of the
Cambrian Period. It resulted in the appearance of almost all modern animal phyla.”
57. What about phyla?
“The primary subdivision of a taxonomic kingdom, grouping together all classes of organisms that
have the same body plan.”
58. How did this happen?
Growing organisms that later evolved into more complex life forms created an “ecological relationship”
that had a distinct role in much larger organisms and a rising oxygen level in the atmosphere. Also,
there was a mass extinction at the end of the Proterozoic era, right before the Cambrian, so the
environment flourished.
