Impact of informal networks on knowledge management strategy critique re...Adib Chehade
The document provides a critique review of a paper titled "Impact of informal networks on knowledge management strategy" by Jewel and Underwood. The review identifies two limitations of the original paper - that it only considered two organizations and gathered responses from 28 people. However, the review finds that the original paper's findings are supported by prior and new literature. It concludes that the findings can apply to all organizations but suggests examining multiple organizations from different industries to make more valid conclusions.
This literature review summarizes existing research on e-leadership. The review found that while the goals of leadership have not changed, e-leadership requires implementing those goals electronically with virtual teams dispersed over space and time. Guidelines for writing a literature review applied to the topic of Knowledge Management in SMEs.
This paper provides a systematic review of the literature on knowledge management (KM) in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and SME networks. The main objective is to highlight the state-of-the-art of KM from the management point of view in order to identify relevant research gaps. The review highlights that in recent years the trend of papers on the topic is growing and involves a variety of approaches, methodologies and models from different research areas. The vast majority of papers analysed focus on the topic of KM in the SME while there are only few papers analysing KM in networks populated by SMEs. The content analysis of the papers highlights six areas of investigation from which were derived ten research questions concerning three perspectives: the factors affecting KM; the impact of KM on firm’s performance; the knowledge management systems.

This document describes a study that examined attributions for work-related events using a Modified
Attributional Style Questionnaire (MASQ) administered to 300 IT professionals. The MASQ assessed causal
attributions along dimensions of internality, stability, globality, externality, and personal control. Results
showed the MASQ had satisfactory reliability. Attributions for positive events correlated with job satisfaction
and motivation more than attributions for negative events. This supports prior research linking an optimistic
internal attributional style to satisfaction and motivation.
This document summarizes a research paper that adapts the Job Embeddedness Model to understand factors that influence IT professionals to remain with their current employer in the IT outsourcing industry. The model considers environmental, firm, and individual level factors. At the environmental level, it examines community and IT profession influences. At the firm level, it analyzes factors within the employee's organization and client organizations. At the individual level, it looks at personal goals. An Investigation into Gaps in the Flow of Communication at Institutional Leve...ijtsrd
This study investigated the communication challenges between staff members and management within universities in Lesotho. These communication flow gaps are mainly caused by top to bottom mode of communication with management concentrating on channeling information down to subordinates leaving little room for subordinates to express themselves freely by initiating communication with management. This mode of communication has the negative effect of demoralizing staff causing high staff turnover in the institutions of higher learning and this is detrimental to the progress of the learner. The study gathered information through questionnaires and the data was presented and analyzed quantitatively through tables and graphs. The results reflect that the top to bottom communication model predominantly used by management in Lesotho is not effective in bringing the best out of university staff.
