Analyze how the effectiveness of global leadership development is evaluated in your organization or one you’ve worked for in the past. Provide recommendations based on our readings and your own research.
Post 1
For the week five discussion board, I focused on the National Institutes of Health (NIH), mainly because I found a really interesting, and concise, step-by-step guide for succession planning. This guide also included at table, or a 9-box approach, that indicated the criticality and vulnerability of positions. The NIH Human Resource Department has a very informative and thorough website, which I hoped would provide information on how it, as a group of institutions, measured the effectiveness of their leadership development programs. I’ve learned that they export, or sell, these leadership courses to medical practitioners globally, which may be one of the reasons they do not have as much information on assessing the value of leadership development programs as I would have hoped.
Much like Kristine, I thought I’d look into how we can describe and assess programs and then I can bring it back to the limited information I’ve found on the NIH. I liked how one of our readings this week in the context of measuring the effectiveness of a leadership development program as it relates to the costs and investment in a person or position. In the conclusions by Edwards & Turnbull (2013), their approach requires both a macro and micro view of interconnections and networks that exist and the extent in which they’ve been influenced. Additionally, in an article I found, the link between measuring the return on investment with leadership development was assessed. In many cases, there wasn’t enough tailoring of leadership programs to the business needs of an organization or company, which can make for less productive outcomes as well as difficulty in measuring the effectiveness (MeInert, 2018). In another example, a blog from the Harvard Business Learning, focus should be on the impact of a program, not the “proof†that a leadership development program was successful (Clark, 2018). In both of these complementary examples, the authors stressed the length of time needed to allow leadership to begin synthesizing materials and examples into their operational approach, a minimum of nine months was recommended as an adequate period of time (Meinert, 2018). Other, maybe more traditional Human Resources tools were also recommended, such as 360 degree reviews, measurement of output, time, and quality, as well as reporting on the perceived tangible and intangible benefits of the leadership training or development programs (Meinert, 2018). From our text this week, Mendenhall & Reiche (2018), the u.
Organizational Identification of Millennial employees working remotely: Quali...HennaAnsari
The problem of practice for this study is to understand how Millennial employees identify with their organizations when working in a remote role. Understanding the employee experience could help us consider OID which is linked to range of positive employee outcomes, such as low turnover intention and higher engagement, as well as improved employee satisfaction, well-being, and employee performance (Ashforth, 2008 ). Actively disengaged employees manifest discontent by undermining more engaged employees’ efforts, and these workers can actively seek to harm the organization (Carrillo, 2017; Kompaso, 2010; Walden, 2017).

MINI-PROJECT: QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS
Introduction
It is important for qualitative data to be analyzed and the themes that emerge identified so that the data can be presented in a way that is understandable. Theme identification is an essential task in qualitative research and themes could mean abstract, often fuzzy, constructs which investigators identify before, during, and after data collection. I will discuss the themes that emerge from the data collected from the interview.Analyzing and presenting qualitative data in an understandable manner is a five step procedure that I will also explain in this paper.

Assessment of Neural Network and Goal Programming on Cross Cultural ManagementYogeshIJTSRD
For achieving success in a global arena cross cultural training should be provided to employees to settle down between the global business environment and culture as one of the factors contributing to economic success, revenue generation, surplus booking, goodwill enhancement, market fame and many more. More the revenue, more the profit booking leads to rise company’s goodwill and builds customers faith as well as provides employee satisfaction which motivates employees to be more productive, more efficient, more energetic, more enthusiastic, and never let employees to get stressed from their work.AI ANN and goal programming is being used a method to find something fruitful to mitigate cross cultural issues in an organization. Adaptive Leadership
According to Heifetz and Donald (2001), an adaptive leadership is the kind of leadership where there is the mobilization of the people in order to carry out the tough challenges for the purpose of success. These challenges that needs to be mobilized are divided into adaptive challenges and the technical fixes. Before taking action to find the solution to this challenges, it is important to diagnose the adaptive verses the technical challenges. The diagnosis enables the adaptive leadership to know the exact method that should be used to solve the challenge successful. This is because, the adaptive challenges requires the team or the individual to learn the new techniques that will be used to solve the problem (Savage, n.d.). This means that the individuals to be used in giving solutions are required to alter their believes, loyalties and the values. But on the other hand, the technical fixes only needs the knowledge of the expert to solve the problem within a short period of time (Savage, n.d).
In the career that I am pursuing, an example of the adaptive challenge that I am wrestling with is the use of the blended learning program to increase the knowledge and the skills of the employees. It is among the many adaptive challenges as it requires the employees to alter with their daily activities and the strategies. But this can be made different by the use of the following four competencies. With the diagnosis situation competence, a deeper understanding of the situation together with the different interpretations has to be done (Heifetz, & Linsky, 2002). Understanding the blended learning program well will enable the employment of the good techniques that will not inconvenience the workers. This is followed by managing self where the where the assumptions about the strengths and the weakness are evaluated concerning the situation. This will help in reducing the challenges by knowing whether to maintain the program or not from the strength and the weakness that is has. From this program, we can see that there are a lot of the strength to reap from it hence it is of benefit to the organization and the personal level. Next we have intervene skillful where the program is analyzed to see if there are chances of making progress from it (Heifetz, & Linsky, 2004). From our challenging program, we can see that it has to be partaken because it helps in making the progress through the gained skills and knowledge. Lastly energizing others where they are made to be interested to attend the learning program so that they can gain more knowledge and skills (Heifetz, & Linsky, 2004).

Chapter III Methodology As observed in recent years, large organiJinElias52
Chapter III: Methodology
As observed in recent years, large organizations are facing multiple data breaches from hackers who are trying to steal sensitive information. With the increase in technology, attackers with malicious intent are finding advanced methods to breach into the organization or even simple by exploiting known risks that could have been avoided by the organization by updating their systems on a regular basis (Alawneh, 2008). The most recent breach that we all were aware off was the Equifax data breach where it was reported that millions of its customers personal identifiable information (PII) were stolen, information such as social security number , an individual’s name, financial record, driver’s license number, etcetera.. The purpose of this paper is to how organizations can protect themselves from data breaches. What are the ways in which their data can be exposed and does employee awareness will help organizations protect themselves from being attacked from various sources?
Design of the study:
The data collected in this paper was a mixed approach. The collected data was both qualitative and quantitative in nature. The researcher developed a questionnaire containing both open-ended and close-ended questions and all of this was administered through LimeSurvey. And most of the participants response was recorded when they were trying to explain their understanding of a breach and how data leaks can be classified into intentional threats and inadvertent threats as these recording were transliterated for further analysis using otter A.I. And each session from the participant lasted from 45 – 90 minutes depending on the tasks being performed.
Data collection and participants:
All the participants involved in the sessions have worked or currently working in financial organizations. Participants read and signed a consent form explaining the purpose of the research and were given the option to skip a question if they feel uncomfortable in answering a question. Participants were recruited through ads from social media and from known contacts whose education and work experience are related to the study that was being conducted. There were around 50 participants in total, 30 males and 20 females, they ranged in age from 24 - 57. When asked about data breaches and do they know who their organizations protect itself from data breaches as part of employee awareness, 40 said yes and 10 said no. And when asked about taking or participating in any data security training conducted by the organizations, 35 said yes and 15 said no. And when asked about recording their answers on a device 45 said yes and 5 said no, For the 5, we noted down their answers on a paper with their consent.
Data analysis and Sampling procedures:
The participants responses were addressed in two sections which are quantitative and qualitative. When analyzing the qualitative data from the questionnaire we conducted a thematic analysis in order to better analyze ...

Discussion Board: Managing Dynamic Organizational Processes
Chapter 10: Do you think it is possible for an outsider to accurately discern about the underlying cultural values of an organization by analyzing symbols, ceremonies, dress, or other observable aspects of culture in comparison to an insider with several years of work experience? Select a percentage (e.g., 10%, 70%, etc.) and explain your reasoning.
Daft (2021) notes that culture is, “the set of values, norms, guiding beliefs, and understandings that is shared by members of an organization and taught to new members as the correct way to think, feel, and behave” (p. 445). Culture allows employees to integrate into a common environment and aids in adjusting to the external environment (Daft, 2021). An outside observer would be able to analyze symbols, ceremonies, dress, and other aspects of an organization and could accurately discern about 30% of an organization's cultural values. Symbols, ceremonies, dress, and other visually identifiable aspects of culture do not make up a large amount of organizational culture. The internal integration of coworkers guides employees' working relationships, interactions, communication, behaviors, and power structure (Daft, 2021). These are not easily identifiable from an outsider.
An insider with several years of experience could more accurately gauge an organization’s cultural beliefs. About 90% of an organization’s culture could be projected by an employee after working at the same company for several years. This employee would be able to see day-to-day relationships, how goals are met with outsiders, professional development, and even what nonconforming behaviors are accepted (Daft, 2021). This knowledge is developed with hands-on experience that an outsider may not see from the outside over a short period. Sahoo (2022) notes that or ...

Organizational Structure and Design
The way an organization is designed and structured can have significant effects on its members and its ability to execute its strategy. In this module we will try to understand those effects and analyze the behavioral implications of different organizational designs.
An organizational structure defines how job tasks are formally divided, grouped, and coordinated. According to Robbins and Judge (2014) managers need to address six key elements when they design their organization’s structure:
Work specialization
—the extent to which activities are subdivided into separate jobs.
Departmentalization
—the basis on which jobs will be grouped together.
Chain of command
—the people to whom individuals and groups report.
Span of control
—the number of individuals that a manager can direct efficiently and effectively.
Centralization and decentralization
—the locus of decision-making authority.
Formalization
—the extent to which there will be rules and regulations to direct employees and managers.
A simple, but classical, classification of organizational designs focuses on
mechanistic
versus
organic
design. The mechanistic design is characterized by extensive departmentalization, high formalization, a limited information network, and centralization. The organic design is characterized by low formalization, flat hierarchy and the use of cross-hierarchical and cross-functional teams, free flow of information, and decentralization. Each design has advantages and disadvantages. For example, a mechanistic design is good for keeping the costs of standardized products or services down, but it inhibits innovation and creativity. Read this short summary comparing mechanistic and organic organizational structures:
Mechanistic vs. Organic Organizational Structure: Contingency Theory (2014) BusinessMate.Org
http://www.businessmate.org/Article.php?ArtikelId=44
A more sophisticated look at organizational structure considers the different ways that work is organized and coordinated to best fit the organization’s mission and objectives. Common forms are divisional structures, functional structures, team-based or process structures, and flexible structures. The key learning here is that the structure selected should match the organization’s strategy—or it will be very difficult for the organization to be successful.
The following reading explains these different structures, reviews their advantages and disadvantages, and suggests the strategic considerations for when each should be used. Though this article is on the older side, it is still right on target.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
1. Exploration of leadership speeches and vision of the leader
Data Analysis
The present study was designed to explore the leadership speeches and vision regarding their
journey. The qualitative technique was adopted to examine prescribed speeches. The
investigator analyses 40 speeches of chairpersons/CEOs across the world. These respondents
were associated to the several fields such as social media, technology, energy, business, law,
computer, software, industrial, food, snacks, beverages, banking, commerce, electronics,
sports, trading, IT, services, manufacturing, and sports.
The qualitative data were collected through thematic analysis of selected content. The interview
protocols have been treated under themes and sub-themes coding process. The major themes
have been used in NVivo v. 12 software to identify and explain in depth explanation of
respondents in series of pattern. The aforementioned thematic codes were used to analyses the
gathered qualitative data. The researcher adopted comparative analysis technique to uncover
participants point of views, experiences, and perception underneath their speeches. The basic
thematic nodes were derived from content analysis. The following list of major codes (3) and
sub-codes (40) was used for qualitative analysis:
A. Choices of words
Authenticity, challenges, development, effective, failure, integrity, motivation,
persuasion, positivity, purpose, responsible, strategic thinking, success, transformation,
and trustworthiness
B. Visionary Leadership
Consistency, environmental, experience, future, green energy, hope, innovation, long-
term, next generation, our vision, and teamwork.
C. Cultural articulation
All of us, collectively, democratic, everyone, mine/my, my experience, my hard work,
our culture, our efforts, our founders, our organization, our proud, and together.
The collected qualitative data have been coded for fruther analysis. The gathered data was
analyzed through NVivo 12. “Qualitative data requires a systematic process for analysing,
gathering, arranging, and modification of data or information” (Cohen et al., 2017). In this
study, nodding is applied to develop parent codes and child codes for further analyses. All the
2. nodes based on specified codes were organized and assessed by the triggers (Fraenkel et al.,
2016). The researcher applied hierarchy chart compared by item codes, word frequency, word
hierarchy, matrix coding, and their thematic visualization. The biasness in interpretation and
explanation of qualitative analysis was minimized through evidence-based transcription
collected from participants. The participants were classified under the cases of classifications
(social media, technology, energy, business, law, computer, software, industrial, food, snacks,
beverages, banking, commerce, electronics, sports, trading, IT, services, manufacturing, and
sports). The transcripts were organized cases wise in MS word application. The researcher
applied arrangement, coding, sub codes setting, analyses, and their visualization based on
coded speeches/content. The qualitative analysis is done by the researcher. All the content of
speeches were transformed in visual form as they were recorded. A range of themes including
child themes were analysed through NVivo version 12 software. The technique of analyses
applied through NVivo were frequency-based word cloud, hierarchy chart nodes compared by
item codes, word hierarchy, node clusters, and coding by item. The results are presented in
graphs/figures in the following pages.
3. Results
Figure 1
Word Cloud Frequency
In the figure 1, Word Tag Cloud based on word frequently per first 1000 words were
used on different patterns, is displayed. A collective visualization depicts major repeated
words. It can be observed that the words “people, today, world, company, like, time, years,
one, business, technology, change, and first” gained more attentions in speeches by the
speakers in comparison to other words.
4. Research Question 1: Can leaders be classified based on their choice of words?
Figure 2
Matrix Coding Query Based on Choices of Words
Figure 2 demonstrates number of coded based segments of subcodes under the major theme
“Choice of Words”. The sub themes are analyzed on the qualitative data collected through
speeches. It explains that the greatest influential subcodes were “development, success,
motivation, and challenges” by the respondents. The 100% agreement of participants was
associated with their choices or selection of words during speeches. While the least of total
specific thematic discussion is belong to persuasion, and integrity as they explained that they
use lesser in comparison to other words. In terms of case classification, the chairpersons/CEOs
associated to social media related field selected almost every sub-code in comparison to other
field.
5. Figure 3
Hierarchy of Node of Choices of Words
The visualization of complete coding hierarchy is presented in figure 3. The greater major
theme that has been discussed more by the respondents was success, development, and
motivation. The other themes and sub themes covered the content area as per their focus on as
challenges, failure, and purposes. This coding hierarchy explains the content coverage of major
and sub themes.
6. Research Question 1: Are there specific words that define vision and style?
Figure 4
Matrix Coding Query Based on Visionary Leadership
Figure 4 demonstrates number of coded based segments of subcodes under the major theme
“visionary leadership”. The sub themes are analyzed on the qualitative data collected through
speeches. This explains that the greatest influential subcodes were “our vision, future, and next
generation” by the respondents. The participants was associated with their choices or selection
of words during speeches. While the least of total specific thematic discussion is belong to
green energy as they explained it lesser in comparison to other words. In terms of case
classification, it is similar to choices of words. As the chairpersons/CEOs associated to social
media related field selected reached at all themes except green energy.
7. Figure 5
Hierarchy of Node of Visionary Leadership
Figure 5 explains the visualization of complete coding hierarchy of code visionary leadership.
The greater major theme that has been discussed more by the respondents was our vision, and
future. The moderated sub themes covered the content area as per respondents’ focus were
innovation, experience, and hope. This coding hierarchy explains the content coverage of major
and sub themes by the respondents.
8. Research Question 1: How does culture of the leader explain articulation in public speeches?
Figure 6
Matrix Coding Query Based on Cultural Articulation
In the context of cultural articulation or manner of using words in speeches, the figure 6
expresses the matrix coding query based on coded percentage. It demonstrates number of coded
based segments of subcodes under the major theme “cultural articulation”. The sub themes are
analyzed on the qualitative data collected through speeches. This explains that the greatest
influential subcodes were “my experience, our organization, and mine/my” by the respondents.
The participants was associated with articulation during speeches. While the least of total
specific thematic discussion is belong to democratic in comparison to other words. In terms of
case classification, it is similar to choices of words. As the chairpersons/CEOs associated to
social media related field selected reached at all themes greatly in comparison to other
chairpersons/CEOs of different fields.
9. Figure 7
Hierarchy of Node of Cultural Articulation
The hierarchy of codes and sub codes related to cultural articulation explains the visualization
of complete coding hierarchy of code (figure 7). The greater major theme that has been
discussed more by the respondents were my experience and our organization. A sense of self
and organizational motivation is found under these sub-themes. The moderated sub themes
covered the content area as per respondents’ focus were my/mine, my hard word, and our
efforts. This coding hierarchy explains the content coverage of major and sub themes by the
respondents. It can be noted that the participants described their own journey in terms of
explaining their motives. As majority of respondents used sub-themes of mine/my, my
experience, my hard word, more that our organization, our efforts, everyone, collectively, our
culture, and our founders.
Findings
10. In the context of leadership speeches, the chairpersons/CEOs articulate importance of selection
of words in speeches and public dealing. The visionary leader compasses around progressive
words rather than establishing formal speeches. They utilized their own journey, failure, and
success to elaborate motivational approaches, purposefulness, and positivity. The
developmental process of companies to achieve overall goals comes through visionary leaders’
words. The present study examined the leadership speeches and vision with reference to Can
leaders be classified based on their choice of words? Are there specific words that define vision
and style? And How does culture of the leader explain articulation in public speeches? The
prior aim was to examine their selection of words in speeches, their visionary leading style,
and cultural articulation under their selection of expressions. The results of content analysis
explained that majority of respondents adopted words as development, success, motivation,
and challenges frequently to explain their phenomenal characters. It is found out that the
visionary leadership is lied under visionary thought, future concern, next generation
preservation, and innovative acceptance. In last this study analyzed that cultural articulation in
speeches belonged to “self-representation” more as an example. And “our” word selected for
motivation and encouragement. Although, few of leaders adopted democratic terminologies in
their speeches. Yet the progress of company is presented under self-hardships and successes.
This study is useful to identify the pattern of speeches under three major themes “choices of
words, visionary leadership, and cultural articulation” for credible uphold innate projection.
Using content based thematic analysis it is uncovered that leaders’ choices of words in speeches
reflects their vision and articulation to the field. By revealing aggregate of patterns of speeches,
preferences of words, and way of expression uprise leaders leading and visionary ability.
