7 Antidepressant Side Effects by Chris IIialades
Everyday Health, Chris IIiades, Farrokh Sohrabi, Dr Tarvedi. 2015. 7 Antidepressant Side Effects to
Know About. [ONLINE] Available at: http://www.everydayhealth.com/depression/drug side
effects.aspx. [Accessed 5 May 2016].
Summary
This source gives us an in depth explanation of the 7 most common side effects of antidepressants. It
states that antidepressants are the most common medication prescribed and it is effective. The side
effects that people experience depend on what type of antidepressant medication you are taking. Forty
percent of people taking antidepressants have side effects and these side effects can cause people to
discontinue the use of the medication. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This source is mixed method as it has both primary and secondary research. It uses statistics to show
the amount of people that are using antidepressants which is the secondary aspect. The different types
of harmful effects that antidepressants have on the human body are primary because it has been
researched and studied. Paul Andrews is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology,
Neuroscience and Behavior at McMaster University in Canada. He has also done research in the
evolution of depression. Paul Andrews is an expert in the field of depression and antidepressant
medication. This source was also analyzed by Anderson Thompson who also specializes in psychiatry.
This was published in September 2012, but this research was compiled over the years. The
information is up to date but recently others have challenged the harmful effects of antidepressants.
Purpose
This source was created because many individuals who are taking antidepressants are not aware of the
harmful effects that it has. It gives people an understanding of what can occur when taking
antidepressants. Antidepressants can reduce the depression that is occurring but with that can come
many other effects which could be worse than what you are already feeling. This source is simply to
make people aware that antidepressants have side effects that can be life threatening.

The Effects Of Media Violence
Violence has been around since the beginning of mankind, and it is not going away anytime soon.
Ever since the era of cavemen, we have relied on violence to provide us with the basic necessities to
survive; such as food and clothing, in harsh and barren environments. Fast forward several thousand
years and these basic necessities for survival are now abundant and readily available for a large
majority of the population. Unfortunately, this hasn t decreased the presence of violence in our society.
Today s entertainment and media mostly focuses on these violent examples because they know that it
will garner the most attention. The question on everyone s mind is if these violent images shown
throughout our multiple media outlets have a direct correlation with violent behavior. Research shows
us that violent images can directly trigger violent behavior. In order to better understand media
violence I think it s important to look at what defines it and what consequences it can have. Rowell
Huesmann goes on to state, Most researchers define media violence as visual portrayals of acts of
physical aggression by one human or human like character against another. This definition has
evolved as theories about the effects of media violence have evolved and represents an attempt to
describe the kind of violent media presentation that is most likely to teach the viewer to be more
violent (Huesmann The Impact of Electronic Media). Now the question is, do these violent images
contribute

Liberal Or Conservative Analysis
Any statement that begins with There are two types of people... ought to be met with criticism. People
aren t that simple. But the current system of American politics undermines this, tugging at a few major
core values that tend to separate people into precisely two groups: liberals and conservatives. Even the
most historically beloved and supported president, Theodore Roosevelt, was denied another term upon
campaigning for a third ( middle ) party. Political stratification always induces disagreement, but the
late trend escalades dissent to detriment. Most people would admit to knowing at least a couple of
benevolent and/or intelligent people from both ends of the political spectrum. This begs the question
of which side, liberal or conservative, is better. Is it more practical to be a conservative more ethical to
be a liberal? Jonathan Haidt, a renown social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He concluded that humans are born with an innate moral system, but that social environments, child
rearing, and life experiences rearrange the priorities of this innate system. Morality consists of five
channels: harm/care, fairness/reciprocity, in group/loyalty, authority/respect, and purity/sanctity. The
first two concern themselves with individual treatment, the last three concern themselves with
community and order. A survey in 2008 compared individual s prioritization of these five channels
with their position on the liberal/conservative spectrum. The survey revealed that liberal people value
care and fairness significantly higher than they value loyalty, authority, and purity. Oddly enough, I
cannot begin this sentence with in contrast, or conversely, because the conservative individuals valued
care and fairness relatively high as well. The difference between the two is that conservative values
are less stratified. Predictably, fairness is the lowest value for

There are many forms of communication which can be used to meet the different needs of individual s
and these may include one or more of the following:
Verbal communication is a two way process and should involve active listening. I will need to adapt
my style and method of communication based on whom I am communicating with. For example, if I
am communicating with a professional such as a GP the communication will be formal as opposed to
how I would communicate with a service user where communication is more informal. There are some
basic do s and don ts which can aid verbal communication. These are:
DON T cover your mouth when speaking but DO speak clearly and slowly
DON T use inappropriate language but DO be sensitive to a person s culture

Robber s Declarative Memory
From his working memory it takes in and outputs to his, declarative memory, and prospective memory
which are short term memory and long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.112 117). For
the robber, his declarative memory is part of short term memory and long term memory because he is
given facts and declarations and with the time being he rehearses them well enough that they become
long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 117). Basically, he rehearses facts and events
in short term memory which leads it to being more active and having a lower chance of decaying.
Thus, with this method of rehearsing, eventually the information stays in the robber s mind for a
longer period of time (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116). Robber s prospective memory
contains his goals and desires that he wants to fulfil by achieving the money from the bank (Li and
Laird, 2013, p.155). Prospective memory deals with future predictions and having a dream to achieve
them (Li and Laird, 2013, p.155). Similarly, prospective memory is part of short term memory and
long term memory because just like for his declarative memory, he is able to rehearse well enough his
goals and desires by preventing them from decaying, which will stay longer in the robber s mind
(Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116).

Further, putting the correct numbers/alphabets in the keyboard and then using the keys to open the

responsible for memorizing skills, being able to do things without conscious recall (Friedenberg

Predatory Prey Cycle
Climate change is the increase in temperature of the Earth and its atmosphere. This has a huge effect
on the world including Canadian ecosystem. Humans have added to this effect due to their
irresponsible use of fossil fuels and polluting the environment increasing the amount of green house
gases in the atmosphere. One of the results of climate change is ocean acidification, this occurs from
the ocean absorbing the carbon from the atmosphere reacting with the water and forming carbonic
acid. There are many different experiments done by multiple scientist exploring the effect that ocean
acidification has on the environment and the species that live in it, specifically the predatory prey
cycle. There was a study done by Elise A. Keppel et al. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

temperature. Mussel growth rate was positively affected by low pH, however there was no response to
high temperatures. Predation of sea stars on muscles decreased in lower pH by 50%. The overall effect
shows that muscles perform better at the lower pH compared to the sea stars. Another study was done
by Ferrari, M. C. O et al. (2015) which studied the effect of stressors, CO2 levels and temperature, on
the predatory prey encounters in reef communities. Their method was to put 6 prey and one predator
into 4 different treatments for 22 hours and record how many prey survived this was repeated 2 times
for each of the 4 treatments. What the results found was that when both stressors were high, high CO2
and high temperature, the predation rate increased from 30% to 70%. Prey selection changed when it
was either high CO2 or high temperature but when the stressors were together the prey selection was
equal. Risk taking behaviour was also seen to increase during both stressors. A study was performed

The Man Inside The Tobacco Barn
In April of 1865, Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States, was assassinated at
Ford s Theater in Washington, DC. His assassin was John Wilkes Booth, who was a very famous actor
at the time. Less than two weeks after he committed the horrible deed, Booth was cornered by the
Sixteenth New York Cavalry in a tobacco barn in Virginia. John Wilkes Booth refused to surrender, so
the forces responded by setting the barn ablaze. Although the Cavalry wanted to keep Booth alive,
Sergeant Boston Corbett defied orders and shot Booth in the neck. The gunshot proved to be fatal and
Booth died a few hours later. The body of Booth was identified by Dr. John Frederick May, who
examined the body in Washington, DC. He may have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He then secretly saw a doctor, and continued fleeing from the authorities while being hidden in the
back of a wagon. Booth carried papers with him at all times that identified him as the assassin of
Lincoln, although they were very risky and could cause his demise. One day, during his escape in the
wagon, Booth was informed that the soldiers were approaching. As he fled the wagon, he dropped his
papers. When he was back in safety, John Wilkes Booth sent a messenger to go and retrieve the lost
papers. While the messenger was searching for the papers, another person informed Booth that
soldiers were once again approaching. Booth had to retreat from his hideout once more and therefore
could not wait for the messenger to return with his papers. While Booth was somewhere else, the
messenger himself was cornered and killed by the cavalry in the tobacco barn, since the papers
seemed to legitimately identify their holder as the infamous John Wilkes Booth. Thus, his unfortunate
messenger was the recipient of the fatal gunshot, not Booth himself.
John Wilkes Booth was able to escape to the southwest instead of being shot in the tobacco barn
shortly after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln. He was living under the pseudonym John St. Helen
while residing with his friend, Finis Bates, in Texas in 1877. While St. Helen was very ill, he
confessed to Bates that he himself killed Lincoln. When St. Helen recovered, Bates questioned him

Ell Increase Year After Year
ELL continue to rise year after year. In EDUC 628, the class delved into the rise of ELL in America
and how the best teaching methods to approach each learner with. Every ELL student is unique and
has different learning process. Although the semester covered a wide variety of topics ranging from
dialects to teaching methods, every module served its purpose in providing a framework for future
ELL teachers. Learning about how to teach ELL was significant to me because when I first entered the
school system in America, I was placed into ESL and I have gone through the process of many of
these teaching methods. EDUC 628 main focus was preparing students whose goal in the future was to
educate ELL. The articles and readings assigned in the class provided a funds of knowledge going into
each new lesson. Coupled with the readings, hands on activities such as the mini lessons and
designing lesson plans provided each student with experience that will reflect on their teaching
abilities in the classroom. In my paper, I will be provided a step by step synthesis of what was learned
and accomplished every week along with a brief summary of the readings. I will probe deeper into the
modules and lessons that piqued my interest the most and that also challenge my mindset. In the first
week, as an icebreaker and great example for an exercise that could be used for ELL, Lori had us pair

The Canterbury Tales, by Geoffrey Chaucer
Geoffrey Chaucer wrote the Canterbury tales a collection of short tales in the 14th century. The
compilation of stories are told by different characters within the narrative as part of a game proposed
by the host. Each individual must tell two stories on their journey and two stories on their way back.
Each story tells some aspects of English life during the time and often added satire like qualities to the
English life. In particular Chaucer often tells stories with elements of the relationship between man
and women. He gives a clear representation of what the expected behaviors at the time are for men
and women. Men are the more dominant, they control more of the relationship and provide for their
wives, and the women are submissive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It wasn t entirely uncommon for a women to remarry in the 14th century had her husband died. There
were other options for them as well like to join a nunnery or to not remarry at all. So the idea that the
wife of bath remarried multiple times isn t completely out there during this time period or even by
standards of modern day society.
The stigma faced in the prologue of the wife of bath story regarding marriage isn t a direct
commentary on any sort of gender role, however it does provide us with an idea of the double
standards that a women would face during this time. Some of that double standard existed well into
and still exist in the 21st century in many cultures and religions. In order to achieve the role reversal
like she had done our story teller of the wife of bath tale used a number of methods. She not only
nagged her way into getting what she wanted, but she also persuaded her husband s using certain
tricks. God has granted women three things by nature: lies, tears and spinning. (Chaucer The
Canterbury Tales, 160) The storyteller also says. I d always gain the upper hand by force of fraud.
(Chaucer The Canterbury Tales, 160) Both of these quotes demonstrate the tactics that she uses in
order to gain the upper hand over her husbands and get what she desires.

Moroccoy Incident
First Incident
The first event in the decades long feud was the 1865 murder of Randolph s brother, Asa Harmon
McCoy, by the Logan Wildcats, a local militia group that counted Devil Anse and other Hatfields
among its members. Many people even members of his own family regarded Asa Harmon, who had
served in the Union Army during the American Civil War, as a traitor. The McCoys, living on the
Kentucky side of the river, fought for the Union Army while the Hatfields fought for the Confederacy.
During the war, Asa Harmon McCoy broke his leg and was sent home. When he returned, a group
named The Logan Wildcats, led by Jim Vance, tracked him down to a cave and killed him. This was
the very first in a long line of murders in the feud. The group came after Asa because of a pre existing

They had disagreements from Asa joining the Union Army when they fought on the confederate side.
In the end there were no witnesses to the murder of Asa Harmon McCoy, but it was suspected that
Hatfield had something to do with it. While some have surmised that his murder set the stage for the
feud, most historians now see this incident as a standalone event. This incident was not the start of the
feud per say but it was an instigator to the predicaments between the two families.
Relations between the two families continued to worsen over the next decade before flaring again over
what seemed to be a small matter: a dispute over a single hog. In 1878 Randolph McCoy accused
Floyd Hatfield, a cousin of Devil Anse, of stealing one of his pigs, which at this time was a valuable
commodity in the poor region. Floyd Hatfield was taken to trial and it took place in McCoy territory,
but was led over by a cousin of Devil Anse. It was dependent on the testimony of their star witness
Bill Staton, a McCoy relative married to a Hatfield. Staton testified in Floyd Hatfield s favor, and the
McCoys were infuriated when Floyd was

Gnomeo And Juliet Compare And Contrast
The Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet has been recreated and adapted many many times. One of the
most popular adaptations is the animated movie Gnomeo and Juliet, which is actually very similar to
the original play. They have similar characters, like the gnome Tybalt, and the gnome Benny
(Benvolio). In addition to this, both the movie and the play have almost the same plot line (a fued, a
forbidden love, a fight scene, and the feud coming to a halt at the end). On the other hand, the movie
and the play have many differences, too. The first and most noticeable difference is the fact that in
Gnomeo and Juliet nobody dies. Even Tybalt, who was seen crushed near the middle of the movie, is
seen alive again at the end. This is much less tragic

Employee Engagement From A Human Capital Management
A discussion about employee engagement from a human capital management perspective would not
be complete without some reference to compensation. Employees must consider their compensation to
be fair and competitive. Otherwise, employees will either not be motivated to exert the discretionary
efforts put forth by more highly engaged employees or worse still; they will leave the organization
(Bersin, Becoming Irresistible, 2015). Therefore, organizations must pay attention to the area of
compensation management first and foremost before tackling other areas of human capital
management. However, compensation can also be used as a tool in improving specific areas to
influence engagement positively. For example, reward programs should incentivize managers to coach
and mentor high potential talent or compensation could also be linked to engagement levels at the
departmental level.
The Human Capital Management classes and specifically my deeper drive into the topic employee
engagement is very timely for the organization that I lead. As a small medical practice with limited
resources, conducting employee engagement survey s is normally beyond the reach of our budget.
However, we recently took part in a free survey launched by the local business journal to identify the
best places to work in the local community. This survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, was
primarily a measure of the employee engagement level within our company. While it was very

people in Malaysia, our beloved country practice harmony within diversity. In my opinion, the

and because of that asked Paul to raise the funds for the parade she wanted to conduct. The split was
based on tactics. The NAWSA led by Carrie Chapman Catt wanted a state by state approach while
Alice Paul, who led NWP had more aggressive techniques. Picketing the white house was considered
an aggressive approach to NAWSA. Although they were aggressive, they were not violent. There was
more determination coming from the NWP. NAWSA waited patiently as asked by President Wilson.

The Pros And Cons Of The World Bank And The IMF
far from being the solution to global economic instability and poverty, these two international
institutions are a major problem. For one thing, their lending practice deters growth because the
money they loan removes incentives for governments to advance economic freedom, and breeds
corruption. For these reasons, the vast majority of recipient countries have been unable to develop
fully after depending on these institutions for over 40 years.2

They may escape for a little while, but the truth will hunt them out and squash them. Our pietist,

None of the above excuses the politicians in companies receiving IMF loans. They are not pure

the countries receiving the loans! If you want to be self governed, then self govern. You hired, or

Analysis Of The Machine Stops
The Machine Stops is a short, science fiction story written by E.M. Forester. Set in a post apocolypic
dystopian society, the two main characters, Vashti and Kuno, as well as everyone else, live
underground with the help of the Machine. The Machine provides every single person and their needs,
including the air they breath, because the surface of the Earth can no longer sustain mankind. Not only
does the Machine give every necessity to its people, it also provides the Book, which contains rules to
help the people survive. This often leads the people to worship the Machine as a type of deity. In the
book The Machine Stops , which was written by E.M. Forester, the main characters Vashti and Kuno
have multiple differences with few similarites. Vashti and Kuno are completely different in apperance.
When being introduced to Vashti, the book describes her as a swaddled lump of flesh a woman, about
five feet high, with a face as white as a fungus. (Forester 1). This is a very strong and disturbing
representation of a women. This implies that Vashti doesn t move much due to inactiveness, and also
implies that she doesn t go outside much, more or less because of the fact that she lives underground.
On the other hand, Kuno has a very athletic build. When being introduced to Kuno, we learn that he
was sent away as a baby because all babies were sent away from their mothers at birth. We also learn
that Kuno possessed some kind of physical strength, because he escaped the Machine,

How Does David Bowie Use Irony In Labyrinth
In Labyrinth , David Bowie s character, Jareth, the goblin king, was originally supposed to be a
puppet, but instead decided to make him a human. In Labyrinth Jim Henson uses the literary device,
irony, to create surprise in the viewer. One type of irony is verbal, which is a sentence a character says,
but doesn t mean. Dramatic irony is when we know something a character doesn t. Lastly, situational
irony is when something happens when you don t expect. In general, there are three types of irony that
authors use as a literary device to create the element of surprise.
Furthermore, there s verbal irony, when a character says something, but really means the opposite. For

The Importance Of Volunteering To Michigan State University
I am always the first to volunteer, whether it be to take something down to the office, picking someone
up from work who can t find a ride, or to introduce myself to the new kid in school and help them feel
comfortable in an unknown territory. Helping others has always been a passion of mine; you can meet
so many new people, and experience a lot of things you wouldn t normally be able to! I would be able
to contribute my friendliness and passion for volunteering to Michigan State University and make
everyone feel welcome. From a young age, I can always remember myself talking to new people. I
find them so interesting because you never know anyone s story. As a matter of fact, about six years
ago, I specifically remember meeting my best friend

Swot Analysis For Walgreens
Introduction
Knowing the importance of a strategic vision, every company undertakes a complete analysis
periodically. In order to create a strategic plan the parties involved must know every aspect of the
industry and the company at hand. The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyze the retail
drugstore industry and then focus on Walgreens, the industry leader in terms of sales. As part of the in
depth analysis of Walgreens, its major competitors will also be described and analyzed. The retail
drugstore industry consists of all those stores that contain a pharmacy and sell prescription drugs. It
also includes businesses that sell prescription drugs online and through the mail. Most retail drugstores

Currently, the most frequent users are children under 10 and seniors over the age of 65. The buyers of
health and beauty aids also consist of a wide range of users. Younger users tend to buy hair care and
hygiene products initially, then add cosmetics and skin care items as they mature. The addition of a
wide range of household items, including kitchenware, toys, pet care items, and lawn care items has
enhanced the appeal of the drugstore as a one stop shopping destination, where frequently used items
can be picked up while a prescription is being filled. The development of a strategy that focuses on
convenience items will further broaden the target market.
The sale of pharmaceuticals is considered to be a recession proof industry, as medications are a
necessity. However, drugstores are impacted by factors such as payment rates offered by third party
providers, prices charged by drug manufacturers, and legislation impacting the extension of drug
patents. Obviously, the sale of non drug items is not recession proof.
Suppliers: Drugstores obtain their prescription drug products from the drug manufacturers. Drug
manufacturers have been accused of discriminatory pricing due to a practice of selling products to
HMOs and mail order houses at prices 40% to 60% under the price charged to community drugstores.
The community drugstores have filed a class action lawsuit in response to this practice. Many
drugstores use large wholesalers as

The Issue Of Human Rights
Human rights are perhaps the only concept which has remained the focus of many debates in the
modern world. The mere thought that all humans across the world irrespective of their culture, religion
and race are equal and deserve equality is perhaps the reason why it holds such significance among
people. There is something deeply attractive in the idea that every person anywhere in the world,
irrespective of citizenship or territorial legislation, has some basic rights, which others should respect.
(Sen, 2004) It allows each human being the dignity and respect to live and feel as much important in
the world as any other. Similarly to authenticate the respect and dignity of every individual Universal
Declaration of Human Rights immediately after its preamble declares All human beings are born free
and equal in dignity and rights... (U.N) The charter was drafted keeping in mind the atrocities that
occurred during the second world war. It was a solemn vow that all the nations in the world will
ensure such a catastrophe may never occur and that all shall work together to ensure world peace. The
Universal Declaration of Human Rights hoped it will carry the idea of human rights in to every corner
of the world.(Johnson, 2010) Universal Declaration of Human rights served as the building block on
which the frame work for future human rights was to be built upon. With time other international
conventions or treaties were formulated. This was done to provide a more solid basis to

Presidential Election And Campaign Recommendations
Re: Analysis of the 2012 Presidential Elections and Campaign Recommendations
After analyzing the different strategies used in the 2012 presidential election by candidates Barack
Obama and Mitt Romney, I have gathered enough information to lead you, Candidate Smith, into a
path of success, and in the hope to help you reach presidency. The key element that made Obama
successful, was the usage of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube, etc. Therefore,
I hope you have at least one account running in your favor, if not that will be the first thing on the
agenda. So first, I will explain the possibilities for video ad campaigns and the power they have to
persuade the people. Second, I will go over statistics for the Swing States of Nevada and Wisconsin, in
order to understand our demographic that is there ethnicities, income, education, and most importantly
to understand their needs, that way we can start brainstorming on how we can help them prosper. And
third, I will explain how Obama s campaign was managed and what made him successful, moreover,
how he was able to utilize social media to engage and relate to the citizens.
Analysis of Romney V. Obama Video Ad Campaigns
During the 2012 presidential election, both candidates Obama and Romney utilized the power of the
internet to create short video ad campaigns. Some were aired on television, others were uploaded to
social media platforms, such as Youtube. After carefully analyzing four videos, two from the Obama

Advantages Of Decentralization Of Government
3.1 Fiscal Decentralization and the Government Budget
According to Seda (2009), the organization of government accounts in Indone sia was originally
rooted in the Dutch budgetary system in the colonialial era, called Indische Comptabiliteitswet (ICW)
and instituted in 1867. After gaining independence, Indonesian politics began the old order era marked
by the rule of its first president, Soekarno. During this time, the new state adapted the Dutch budget
system, which was highly centralized and consisted of two sim plified groups income and expenditure,
without a system of checks and bal ances by level or part of government. The expenditures side
included routine expenditure and capital expenditure and the central government held complete
authority to allocate the budget and formulate a development program. The law Number 5 Year 1974
regulated the basic principles of local government, however, the state system in practice was still
centralized in all manners (Smoke Lewis, 1996). The second president, Soeharto, also ran the
government in a centralistic, authoritarian style, therefore the budgetary system remained both
formulated and decided upon by the central government. This only changed in the aftermath of the
financial crisis in 1999.
With the passing of Law Number ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Treisman argues that decentralization could reduce efficiency and quality of public services, especially
in the absence of a regulative assignment of responsibilities between central and regional government
(Treisman, 2000). Eckardt criticizes that the bulk of the resources re arranged during fiscal
decentralization has done little more than increase the percentage of local government expenditure
reserved for civil servant salaries (Eckardt, 2008). Prud Homme (1995) adds that decentralization
could increase disparity, reduce efficiency and may indeed increase

The Basics Of Mediation Between An Addict And A Victim Of...
When I was nine years old, I was forced to learn the basics of mediation between an addict and a
victim of abuse. I think about the paths I could have taken, had I not met the right people. The culture
clichés I could have so easily followed had I chosen to conform rather than create an opportunity for
myself. Through the use of persuasive communication, I was able to guide my father away from
violence. I remember having trouble my early years of school as I soon became my father s drinking
partner. He needed someone to talk to at late hours of the night and I was always available. I would
like to say that I am motivated by the positivity in my life, but that would be a lie. In return I do
believe it that the negativity I experienced early on and difficulties I faced in childhood that helped
shape my focus as I experimented with different careers and fields of study. I have continuously
battled the culture of patriarchy entrenched through my background and authority figures. I had to
battle my autocratic ruler mentally, verbally and in unfortunate instances physically. Although my
animosity for my mother s inability to walk away from my father s dominance grew as an adult, I was
enlightened by her willingness to serve others. I grew up in a border city, known for its inability to
progress and recalled for its femicides. These femicides were an epidemic that casually built up
awareness through media but fizzled out against what news producers believed to be more

Analytical Essays On Analytical Psychology
Jung, C. G. (1972). Two essays on analytical psychology
Jung s Two Essays on Analytical Psychology includes the works The Unconscious in the Normal and
Pathological Mind and The Relation of the Ego to the Unconscious, which are 1928 revisions of
previously written papers. Jung, who was Freud s well known disciple from 1909 to 1914, held ideas
different from Freud s and Adler s that eventually led to personal differences between them,
particularly with Freud; their followers have continued these differences. One of the point of
disagreement is Jung s opinion that Freud s concept of the libido is too concerned with sexuality and
that Adler s will to power is also too simplistic. Alternatively to Freud, he calls the libido the basic
tank ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, Freud and Adler had difficulty in refusing the development of both humanity and
the individual and were rigid in their beliefs.
Jung believed that psychic energy had its foundation in the tension of opposites; this energy could
only be used when the proper gradient was found. He also introduced two very different theories of
neurosis, with the first focusing the object and the second emphasized the subject, are viewed as
manifestations of an oppositional type. The introverted personality type focuses on the subject while
the extraversion type focuses on the object; however, these two types are rare observed in their
unadulterated state. Moreover, the dynamics of a relationship between individuals who retain
contradictory personality types was examined by Jung. Alternatively, to contrast with the concepts of
Freud and Adler, they describe neuroses as sometimes allocating useful adaptive functions.
The Unconscious in the Normal and Pathological Mind
Jung considers and discusses the concept of the collective unconscious as well as its role in the
process of transference within psychotherapy. He suggests that the traditional method of dream
analysis which must be followed by a discussion when it is believed that the symbols presented
originated in the collective unconscious. Jung has noted the process of unification of the

Philip Morris
1. How would you describe Marlboro s competitive position in early 1993?
Marlboro, the leading cigarette brand for Philip Morris, was the dominant player in the premium
priced market. While RJR was the second largest player in the market, RJR s cigarette brands were
fragmented. At the end of 1992, Marlboro had 24.4% unit market share, while each of the RJR brand
cigarettes had less than 7% market share. Philip Morris, at 53% operating contribution margin, was
significantly more profitable than RJR, at 34% operating contribution margin.
Marlboro was essentially backed by the biggest, most profitable player Philip Morris. Philip Morris
was also the consistent market share leader, at least since 1988, over RJR and other much smaller ...

RJR
Phillp Morris was also presumably worried about the aggressive price cuts and promotions by RJR to
increase its market share.
Goals of Philip Morris Strategy
Philip Morris needed a aggressive competitive response to tacklethe threats of: declining market share,
increasing share of discount brands, regulation, and RJR s promotions and price cuts. They decided to
aggressively attack the existing discount brands and make the Philip Morris brand significantly more
price competitive.
Philip Morris effectively cut price by 20%, creating 2 tiers of cigarette pricing (from 3 tiers before).
Their premium products were now significantly more competitive, compared with the discount brands
due to their reduced price and existing strong brand image. Philip Morris were betting that a large
portion of consumers would compare their premium product as price competitive with the discount
brands, and would chose Marlboro due to its superior brand image and comparable prices. They
essentially wanted to win the pricing game and lead with their brand. Surprisingly, they slightly
increased the price of their discount brand by a mere 6 cents. This was probably to restrict the range in
which the pricing war could be played by other players.
Industry Outlook for Philip Morris
Surely with the consumer behavior shift and the increasingly hostile regulatory climate described
above, Philip Morris views the industry margins becoming thinner and realizes

Online Education Is The Most Powerful Weapon Essay
Online vs. Lectures
Nelson Mandela once said: Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the
world. Schools across the country, have found their way to help millennial s graduate college faster.
By allowing those students with the busy lives to take online schooling as an alternative, rather than to
go to school and taking the lectured course. Online schooling has yet to be proven effective. It causes
isolation from other students and professors, students having to teach themselves, anxiety, and not
appreciating the in person lectured courses. Colleges should require students to take a test to see if
they are ready for the pressures of a online course. Colleges should also require that students know
where to find help for their classes, when needed. Therefore, colleges should also require students to
take one course along with one lectured course. By having students go to one lectured and does, one
online course there is a balance. Online courses allow students that have busy lives, to be able to
receive an education. Taking an online course is not ideal, because the amount of time a student will
spend teaching themselves new material, should be the same amount of time they use to study after
going to a lectured course. Students should not take online courses because, they have to teach
themselves, online courses lack to teach about life skills, and do not receive face to face interaction
with the students and the professor. Students should take

Task 3: Interpreting Debug Output.
Note: If you already configured IP addressing on R1, please remove all the interface commands now
before proceeding. Furthermore, R2 and R3 should be configured through the end of Task 2: Basic
Router Configuration .
Step 1 On R1 from privileged EXEC mode, enter the debug ip routing command.
R1# debug ip routing.
IP routing debugging is on.
The debug ip routing command will show when routes are added, modified and deleted from the
routing table. For example, every time you successfully configure and activate an interface, Cisco IOS
adds a route to the routing table. We can verify this by observing output from the debug ip routing
command.
Step 2 Enter interface configuration mode for R1 s LAN ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
End with CNTL/Z.
R1(config)# interface serial 0/0/0
Configure the ip address as specified in the Topology Diagram.
R1(config if)# ip address 172.16.2.1 255.255.255.0 is_up: 0 state: 0 sub state: 1 line: 0 has_route:
False
As soon as you press the enter key, Cisco IOS debug output informs you that there is now a route, but
its state is False . Since R1 is the DCE side of our lab environment, we must specify how fast bits will
be clocked between R1 and R2.
Step 6 Enter the clock rate command on R1.
You can specify any valid clocking speed. Use the ? to find the valid rates. Here, we used 64000 bps.
R1(config if)# clock rate 64000
Step 7 Enter the command necessary to insure the interface is fully configured.
R1(config if)# no shutdown
After you enter the correct command, you should see debug output similar to the following:
is_up: 0 state: 0 sub state: 1 line: 0 has_route: False
%LINK 3 UPDOWN: Interface Serial0/0/0, changed state to down
Unlike the LAN interface, fully configuring the WAN interface is not always enough to have the route
entered in the routing table even if your cable connections are correct. The other side of the WAN link
must also be configured. /u gt;
Step 8 If possible, establish a separate terminal session with R2. Click on R2
This will allow you to observe the debug output on R2 when you make changes on R1. You can also
turn on debug ip routing on R2.

  • 2. Antidepressants Literature Review Literature Review Source A 7 Antidepressant Side Effects by Chris IIialades Everyday Health, Chris IIiades, Farrokh Sohrabi, Dr Tarvedi. 2015. 7 Antidepressant Side Effects to Know About. [ONLINE] Available at: http://www.everydayhealth.com/depression/drug side effects.aspx. [Accessed 5 May 2016]. Summary This source gives us an in depth explanation of the 7 most common side effects of antidepressants. It states that antidepressants are the most common medication prescribed and it is effective. The side effects that people experience depend on what type of antidepressant medication you are taking. Forty percent of people taking antidepressants have side effects and these side effects can cause people to discontinue the use of the medication. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This source is mixed method as it has both primary and secondary research. It uses statistics to show the amount of people that are using antidepressants which is the secondary aspect. The different types of harmful effects that antidepressants have on the human body are primary because it has been researched and studied. Paul Andrews is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior at McMaster University in Canada. He has also done research in the evolution of depression. Paul Andrews is an expert in the field of depression and antidepressant medication. This source was also analyzed by Anderson Thompson who also specializes in psychiatry. This was published in September 2012, but this research was compiled over the years. The information is up to date but recently others have challenged the harmful effects of antidepressants. Purpose This source was created because many individuals who are taking antidepressants are not aware of the harmful effects that it has. It gives people an understanding of what can occur when taking antidepressants. Antidepressants can reduce the depression that is occurring but with that can come many other effects which could be worse than what you are already feeling. This source is simply to make people aware that antidepressants have side effects that can be life threatening. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Effects Of Media Violence Violence has been around since the beginning of mankind, and it is not going away anytime soon. Ever since the era of cavemen, we have relied on violence to provide us with the basic necessities to survive; such as food and clothing, in harsh and barren environments. Fast forward several thousand years and these basic necessities for survival are now abundant and readily available for a large majority of the population. Unfortunately, this hasn t decreased the presence of violence in our society. Today s entertainment and media mostly focuses on these violent examples because they know that it will garner the most attention. The question on everyone s mind is if these violent images shown throughout our multiple media outlets have a direct correlation with violent behavior. Research shows us that violent images can directly trigger violent behavior. In order to better understand media violence I think it s important to look at what defines it and what consequences it can have. Rowell Huesmann goes on to state, Most researchers define media violence as visual portrayals of acts of physical aggression by one human or human like character against another. This definition has evolved as theories about the effects of media violence have evolved and represents an attempt to describe the kind of violent media presentation that is most likely to teach the viewer to be more violent (Huesmann The Impact of Electronic Media). Now the question is, do these violent images contribute ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Liberal Or Conservative Analysis Any statement that begins with There are two types of people... ought to be met with criticism. People aren t that simple. But the current system of American politics undermines this, tugging at a few major core values that tend to separate people into precisely two groups: liberals and conservatives. Even the most historically beloved and supported president, Theodore Roosevelt, was denied another term upon campaigning for a third ( middle ) party. Political stratification always induces disagreement, but the late trend escalades dissent to detriment. Most people would admit to knowing at least a couple of benevolent and/or intelligent people from both ends of the political spectrum. This begs the question of which side, liberal or conservative, is better. Is it more practical to be a conservative more ethical to be a liberal? Jonathan Haidt, a renown social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He concluded that humans are born with an innate moral system, but that social environments, child rearing, and life experiences rearrange the priorities of this innate system. Morality consists of five channels: harm/care, fairness/reciprocity, in group/loyalty, authority/respect, and purity/sanctity. The first two concern themselves with individual treatment, the last three concern themselves with community and order. A survey in 2008 compared individual s prioritization of these five channels with their position on the liberal/conservative spectrum. The survey revealed that liberal people value care and fairness significantly higher than they value loyalty, authority, and purity. Oddly enough, I cannot begin this sentence with in contrast, or conversely, because the conservative individuals valued care and fairness relatively high as well. The difference between the two is that conservative values are less stratified. Predictably, fairness is the lowest value for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are many forms of communication which can be used to meet the different needs of individual s and these may include one or more of the following: Verbal communication is a two way process and should involve active listening. I will need to adapt my style and method of communication based on whom I am communicating with. For example, if I am communicating with a professional such as a GP the communication will be formal as opposed to how I would communicate with a service user where communication is more informal. There are some basic do s and don ts which can aid verbal communication. • 6. Robber s Declarative Memory From his working memory it takes in and outputs to his, declarative memory, and prospective memory which are short term memory and long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.112 117). For the robber, his declarative memory is part of short term memory and long term memory because he is given facts and declarations and with the time being he rehearses them well enough that they become long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 117). Basically, he rehearses facts and events in short term memory which leads it to being more active and having a lower chance of decaying. Thus, with this method of rehearsing, eventually the information stays in the robber s mind for a longer period of time (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116). Robber s prospective memory contains his goals and desires that he wants to fulfil by achieving the money from the bank (Li and Laird, 2013, p.155). Prospective memory deals with future predictions and having a dream to achieve them (Li and Laird, 2013, p.155). Similarly, prospective memory is part of short term memory and long term memory because just like for his declarative memory, he is able to rehearse well enough his goals and desires by preventing them from decaying, which will stay longer in the robber s mind (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116). ... Humans have added to this effect due to their irresponsible use of fossil fuels and polluting the environment increasing the amount of green house gases in the atmosphere. One of the results of climate change is ocean acidification, this occurs from the ocean absorbing the carbon from the atmosphere reacting with the water and forming carbonic acid. There are many different experiments done by multiple scientist exploring the effect that ocean acidification has on the environment and the species that live in it, specifically the predatory prey cycle. There was a study done by Elise A. Keppel et al. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The results found that sea stars were negatively effected in growth rate by low pH, even lower in high temperature. Mussel growth rate was positively affected by low pH, however there was no response to high temperatures. Predation of sea stars on muscles decreased in lower pH by 50%. The overall effect shows that muscles perform better at the lower pH compared to the sea stars. Another study was done by Ferrari, M. C. O et al. (2015) which studied the effect of stressors, CO2 levels and temperature, on the predatory prey encounters in reef communities. Their method was to put 6 prey and one predator into 4 different treatments for 22 hours and record how many prey survived this was repeated 2 times for each of the 4 treatments. What the results found was that when both stressors were high, high CO2 and high temperature, the predation rate increased from 30% to 70%. Prey selection changed when it was either high CO2 or high temperature but when the stressors were together the prey selection was equal. Risk taking behaviour was also seen to increase during both stressors. A study was performed by Clements, J. C. et ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. The Man Inside The Tobacco Barn In April of 1865, Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States, was assassinated at Ford s Theater in Washington, DC. His assassin was John Wilkes Booth, who was a very famous actor at the time. Less than two weeks after he committed the horrible deed, Booth was cornered by the Sixteenth New York Cavalry in a tobacco barn in Virginia. John Wilkes Booth refused to surrender, so the forces responded by setting the barn ablaze. Although the Cavalry wanted to keep Booth alive, Sergeant Boston Corbett defied orders and shot Booth in the neck. The gunshot proved to be fatal and Booth died a few hours later. He then secretly saw a doctor, and continued fleeing from the authorities while being hidden in the back of a wagon. Booth carried papers with him at all times that identified him as the assassin of Lincoln, although they were very risky and could cause his demise. One day, during his escape in the wagon, Booth was informed that the soldiers were approaching. As he fled the wagon, he dropped his papers. When he was back in safety, John Wilkes Booth sent a messenger to go and retrieve the lost papers. While the messenger was searching for the papers, another person informed Booth that soldiers were once again approaching. Booth had to retreat from his hideout once more and therefore could not wait for the messenger to return with his papers. While Booth was somewhere else, the messenger himself was cornered and killed by the cavalry in the tobacco barn, since the papers seemed to legitimately identify their holder as the infamous John Wilkes Booth. Thus, his unfortunate messenger was the recipient of the fatal gunshot, not Booth himself. John Wilkes Booth was able to escape to the southwest instead of being shot in the tobacco barn shortly after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln. • 10. Ell Increase Year After Year ELL continue to rise year after year. In EDUC 628, the class delved into the rise of ELL in America and how the best teaching methods to approach each learner with. Every ELL student is unique and has different learning process. Although the semester covered a wide variety of topics ranging from dialects to teaching methods, every module served its purpose in providing a framework for future ELL teachers. Learning about how to teach ELL was significant to me because when I first entered the school system in America, I was placed into ESL and I have gone through the process of many of these teaching methods. EDUC 628 main focus was preparing students whose goal in the future was to educate ELL. The articles and readings assigned in the class provided a funds of knowledge going into each new lesson. Coupled with the readings, hands on activities such as the mini lessons and designing lesson plans provided each student with experience that will reflect on their teaching abilities in the classroom. In my paper, I will be provided a step by step synthesis of what was learned and accomplished every week along with a brief summary of the readings. I will probe deeper into the modules and lessons that piqued my interest the most and that also challenge my mindset. In the first week, as an icebreaker and great example for an exercise that could be used for ELL, Lori had us pair up and illustrate personal traits about us. The compilation of stories are told by different characters within the narrative as part of a game proposed by the host. Each individual must tell two stories on their journey and two stories on their way back. Each story tells some aspects of English life during the time and often added satire like qualities to the English life. In particular Chaucer often tells stories with elements of the relationship between man and women. He gives a clear representation of what the expected behaviors at the time are for men and women. It wasn t entirely uncommon for a women to remarry in the 14th century had her husband died. There were other options for them as well like to join a nunnery or to not remarry at all. So the idea that the wife of bath remarried multiple times isn t completely out there during this time period or even by standards of modern day society. The stigma faced in the prologue of the wife of bath story regarding marriage isn t a direct commentary on any sort of gender role, however it does provide us with an idea of the double standards that a women would face during this time. Some of that double standard existed well into and still exist in the 21st century in many cultures and religions. In order to achieve the role reversal like she had done our story teller of the wife of bath tale used a number of methods. She not only nagged her way into getting what she wanted, but she also persuaded her husband s using certain tricks. God has granted women three things by nature: lies, tears and spinning. (Chaucer The Canterbury Tales, 160) The storyteller also says. I d always gain the upper hand by force of fraud. Many people even members of his own family regarded Asa Harmon, who had served in the Union Army during the American Civil War, as a traitor. The McCoys, living on the Kentucky side of the river, fought for the Union Army while the Hatfields fought for the Confederacy. During the war, Asa Harmon McCoy broke his leg and was sent home. When he returned, a group named The Logan Wildcats, led by Jim Vance, tracked him down to a cave and killed him. This incident was not the start of the feud per say but it was an instigator to the predicaments between the two families. Relations between the two families continued to worsen over the next decade before flaring again over what seemed to be a small matter: a dispute over a single hog. In 1878 Randolph McCoy accused Floyd Hatfield, a cousin of Devil Anse, of stealing one of his pigs, which at this time was a valuable commodity in the poor region. Floyd Hatfield was taken to trial and it took place in McCoy territory, but was led over by a cousin of Devil Anse. • 16. Employee Engagement From A Human Capital Management A discussion about employee engagement from a human capital management perspective would not be complete without some reference to compensation. Employees must consider their compensation to be fair and competitive. Otherwise, employees will either not be motivated to exert the discretionary efforts put forth by more highly engaged employees or worse still; they will leave the organization (Bersin, Becoming Irresistible, 2015). Therefore, organizations must pay attention to the area of compensation management first and foremost before tackling other areas of human capital management. However, compensation can also be used as a tool in improving specific areas to influence engagement positively. For example, reward programs should incentivize managers to coach and mentor high potential talent or compensation could also be linked to engagement levels at the departmental level. The Human Capital Management classes and specifically my deeper drive into the topic employee engagement is very timely for the organization that I lead. Advantages Of Decentralization Of Government 3.1 Fiscal Decentralization and the Government Budget According to Seda (2009), the organization of government accounts in Indone sia was originally rooted in the Dutch budgetary system in the colonialial era, called Indische Comptabiliteitswet (ICW) and instituted in 1867. After gaining independence, Indonesian politics began the old order era marked by the rule of its first president, Soekarno. During this time, the new state adapted the Dutch budget system, which was highly centralized and consisted of two sim plified groups income and expenditure, without a system of checks and bal ances by level or part of government. The expenditures side included routine expenditure and capital expenditure and the central government held complete authority to allocate the budget and formulate a development program. The law Number 5 Year 1974 regulated the basic principles of local government, however, the state system in practice was still centralized in all manners (Smoke Lewis, 1996). Furthermore, R2 and R3 should be configured through the end of Task 2: Basic Router Configuration . Step 1 On R1 from privileged EXEC mode, enter the debug ip routing command. R1# debug ip routing. IP routing debugging is on. The debug ip routing command will show when routes are added, modified and deleted from the routing table. For example, every time you successfully configure and activate an interface, Cisco IOS adds a route to the routing table. We can verify this by observing output from the debug ip routing command. Step 2 Enter interface configuration mode for R1 s LAN ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... End with CNTL/Z. R1(config)# interface serial 0/0/0 Configure the ip address as specified in the Topology Diagram. R1(config if)# ip address 172.16.2.1 255.255.255.0 is_up: 0 state: 0 sub state: 1 line: 0 has_route: False As soon as you press the enter key, Cisco IOS debug output informs you that there is now a route, but its state is False . Since R1 is the DCE side of our lab environment, we must specify how fast bits will be clocked between R1 and R2. Step 6 Enter the clock rate command on R1. You can specify any valid clocking speed. Use the ? to find the valid rates. Here, we used 64000 bps. R1(config if)# clock rate 64000 Step 7 Enter the command necessary to insure the interface is fully configured. R1(config if)# no shutdown After you enter the correct command, you should see debug output similar to the following: is_up: 0 state: 0 sub state: 1 line: 0 has_route: False %LINK 3 UPDOWN: Interface Serial0/0/0, changed state to down Unlike the LAN interface, fully configuring the WAN interface is not always enough to have the route entered in the routing table even if your cable connections are correct. The other side of the WAN link must also be configured. /u gt; Step 8 If possible, establish a separate terminal session with R2. Click on R2 This will allow you to observe the debug output on R2 when you make changes on R1. You can also
