Essay on Alcohol vs Marijuana
Alcohol vs Marijuana
There is no culture in the history of mankind that did not ever use some kind (kinds) of drugs. Despite
the well known consequences of drug addiction, millions of people constantly consume different legal
and illegal drugs. Affecting people s mind and changing their behavior, drugs become one of the most
threatening factors of social risk, resulting in increasing rates of mortality, aggressive and criminal
behavior, and dissolution of social ties. This paper is devoted to comparison of social science outcome
characteristics for two of the most commonly used drugs in the groups of legal and illegal drugs
alcohol in the first and marijuana in the second. It is argued that hardly any of two can be seen

They also identify a latent function that is associated with making a drug legal or illegal. To make a
drug illegal is to strengthen the agencies that have been established to control them. The moral
entrepreneur has a lot of power and money to make drugs legal or illegal, whatever is in their best
interest. Conflict theorist emphasize how drugs are used as a political tool. They decide whether a
drug is criminalized or not. The conflict theorists used the laws against the Chinese immigrants in the
1800 s.
Continuous use of a certain drug results in the need to consume higher doses in order to achieve the
same effect and by negative and painfully felt effects of sudden withdrawal of the drug. The drug not
only acts as a reinforcer, but sets the stage for the development of the motivation to obtain the drug.
(Timmons Hamilton). When this motivation develops, it becomes ...the major focus of a person s life
to the exclusion of other activities ... and begins ...to harm the individual or others physically,
mentally, or socially... (Engs). This stage of drug abuse is known as addiction. Addicts become
obsessed of the object, seeking it they get engaged in harmful behavior, which draws them away from
family, friends, and studying. Substance abuse compromises psychological and social development
and corrupts the processes of formation of a strong self identity, emotional and intellectual growth,
pursuing a career, and development of positive interpersonal

The Bedside Shift Of Patient Participation
Abstract
Recognizing that patient participation is vital to their personal medical care, healthcare organizations
are conducting nursing staff shift reports at the bedside in the patient s presence. Bedside reports aim
to avoid communication failures by exchanging real time information at shift change. Bedside
reporting is a new alternative to the customary change of shift report that traditionally takes place in a
unit hallway or at the nurse s station. This provides an opportunity for questions before valuable
information is lost or overlooked. In this literature review of bedside shift reporting, three studies were
compared in order to show that a patient s perspective is valued as they can see and hear from the
team of professionals who are providing their care. Bedside shift report also improves the nurses
understanding of the patient s condition as the nurse is able to visualize the patient and share relevant
information.
Bedside Shift Report Literature Review
The bedside shift report occurs between the outgoing and oncoming nurse next to the patient s bedside
at shift change. It is intended to engage patients in the conversation and exchange of information. This
gives both nurses and the patient the opportunity to ask questions and verify important information
about the patient s history and care plan.
In a research article by Lamond (2000), the assistive role of the nursing shift report in information
processing and plan of care discussion was examined. This study

Most Important Critical Factors
This semester in CPD VI, I sat down and determined what my critical factors are to help me better
find the best fit for me in terms of where I want to work after graduation. A little over a year ago in
CPD III I made a list of the top ten critical factors like I did this year. After comparing the two lists
from CPD III and CPD IV side by side I realized that a majority of the critical factors were the same.
The main difference that I seen was mostly the order of the critical factors from most important to lest
important. At this stage of my career it is important for me to determine my critical factors and choose
rotation sites that are best suited for me so that I can get the most out of my experiences. In CPD III
my most important critical factors in the order from most important to least important were: job
security, opportunity for leadership development, income, benefits, working with a team, business
management, helping people, variety of daily activities, work schedule, and finally entrepreneurial
opportunities. In CPD VI my most important critical factors in the order from most important to least
important is: work schedule, income, benefits, future ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I believe that independent pharmacy is the best fit for me because I enjoy working in the retail setting
and getting to help patients directly. Hearing about specialty pharmacy sounds interesting but I would
have to try it out before I determine if it is really a good fit for me. I think the one thing I would miss
most about specialty pharmacy is the patient interactions. I have never considered long term care
pharmacy as a career option for me I think this is partially because I do not understand what they
really do. When I think of long term care I thing of nursing homes, and I do not think that I would like
that as a career

They Say I Say Gender Equality Analysis
Gender equality is classically defined as the enjoyment and access of the same views and rewards
regardless of male of female divisions. Does the conflict of equality co exist between all social
classes? In the selections of What s Gender Got to Do with It? in the book They Say, I
Say, gender equality is evaluated in many forms by either sex and from different social class divisions.
Do wealthy males compare themselves equally with wealthy females and vice versa for the same
concepts of middle class and lower societies? Sheryl Sandberg, the first author to express her outlook
towards the conflict of gender equality in They Say, I Say, does so from an upper class female point of
view. Sheryl s perspective of Lean In: What Would You Do If ... Show more content on

gender, our history would be much different than what we are taught today. Our American economy
has become a melting pot of social diversification throughout history and within the economy. From
the earlier stages of history when gender stereotypes around the 1950s were typically seen as normal

women and men to middle class and lower class sexes, we all have common ground.
Gender defines us as human beings. It creates a distinction between us as people and highlights our

that you or I are irrelevant. Socially, culturally, biologically, all the variables contributing define who

The Moral Attributes Of Friendship
Friendship is a type of love called philia that is fundamentally grounded in both a common interest
and a desire for each other s well being. The moral attributes of both individuals that are involved are
significant in their friendship. According to Aristotle in Nicomachean Ethics, it is because of these
moral attributes that we were friends (149). Morality is a set of ideals that should be strived for
because they are helpful to humanity. Moral changes occur when people begin to or stop doing these
ideals. Is it ethical to depart from a genuine friend due to a change in morality, for better or worse, by
either party? In most other situations, it is immoral to depart a friendship because philia is a patient,
but still conditional, form of love. In necessary situations, Aristotle argues that ending a relationship is
reasonable. If the members of a genuine friendship change morally, it should lead to departure. This
conclusion assumes that people can change themselves ethically and that people who are a part of a
genuine friendship can end their relationship.
A reasonable problem with this thesis is the possibility that any declared friendship, which is not
necessarily genuine, that ends with departure must have never been a genuine friendship to begin with.
If it is true that legitimate friendships cannot be broken, then it follows that even a change in morality
that alters the friendship itself cannot lead to departure unless it was never a friendship after all.
However,

My Writing Skills By Unlocking My Intellectual Mind
When I first enter this classroom, ENG 3305, I consider myself a simple communications writer. I
would simply read or study a situation, then write about it by stating the facts, narrating an event or
idea, or simply give instructions on a task to do. I took this course with the notion of improving my
writing skills by unlocking my intellectual mind and become more critical and analytical of the
information I was to write about. My expectations for my writing skills was to become more assertive
when explaining things in writing. I do not possess a large or extensive vocabulary as I would like to
as a writer, however, I could compensate by becoming more creative with my writing style, and that is
what my goal was when I decided to take ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Again, I missed to identify the things that didn t made sense in the essay. For example, when the
narrator is talking about the shoes she bought. She didn t need them, but she bought them anyways, it
proved that she was not someone to feel bad for. She was not hurting for money, yet she gave the
impression that she did. In the party where she was catering, she broke the crystal not because she was
careless, moreover, she was upset because of the guests in a table talking; in her mind, she believed
she was smarter and better than them. The other point I fail to notice, was when she talked about her
mom, the mom was someone who was very critical about black actors. She believed black actors gave
a bad impression of blacks because they were giving condescending role, hence she said blacks don t
belong in movies. However, she was a light skin woman pretending to be a French maid, because her
employer wanted that from her. She was lying about everything, she believed. The essay reflects the
problems with dreams. They were in Hollywood because they liked the movies, the movies made
them dream and by living there, they were closer to their dreams, but when dreams chattered we have
nothing, dreams are the problem and the narrator finally sees that in the end, hence I missed this point
when I wrote my response. In the third essay, Under the Influence , I did identify the dad s drinking
problems. I was able to pin some of the main points, like

The Potential Impact of Electric Vehicles on the Oil Industry
The Potential Impact of Electric Vehicles on the Oil Industry Question A Crude price differentials
refer to the differences which are seen in the prices of the different types of crude oil (Oosterman,
2013, para. 2). Sweet crude, such as West Texas Intermediate (WTI), tends to be favored over sour
crude as it has a higher yield, requires less refining to meet sulfur content standards, and has fewer
environmental issues (Oosterman, 2013, para. 4). Therefore, the sweet crude tends to have a higher
price compared to other types of crude. If a technological breakthrough occurs, making electric
vehicles popular and cheap to purchase resulting in 50% of consumers switching to electric vehicles
this will have a significant impact on the demand for the gasoline, which would see a decline of 50%
(assuming that all consumers use the approximately the same level of fuel). If there is a decline in the
demand for the gasoline, this will result in a demand for the oil used to make the gasoline, as shown in
figure 1 below. If the supply remains the same but the demand decreases the price will decrease
(Nellis and Parker, p119). Figure SEQ Figure * ARABIC 1; Decrease in demand INCLUDEPICTURE

The Cosmological Argument for the Existence of God
The cosmological argument for the existence of god According to St. John 8:31 32 said, If you remain
in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free
. This sentence is come from the bible, but I am not a christian, so I do not really understand what this
means. I guess it was talking about if people believe in god, and trust his words, and in the end the
will get the freedom. For many of christians, they believes in god, but many of the treatises of
theologians and Christian philosophers can shed much light on the existence of God, the problem of
evil and other objections raised by modern unbelievers. So, what I going to talk about is cosmological
argument for the existence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, some people do not believed in god typed things. To explain this objection, and
how the two forms of cosmological argument evade it, I ll use a simple, generic statement of the
cosmological argument: (1) Everything that exists has a cause of its existence. (2) The universe exists.
Therefore:(3) The universe has a cause of its existence.
(4) If the universe has a cause of its existence, then that cause is God.
Therefore:(5) God exists. This argument is subject to a simple objection, introduced by asking, Does
God have a cause of his existence? If, on the one hand, God is thought to have a cause of his
existence, then positing the existence of God in order to explain the existence of the universe doesn t
get us anywhere. Without God there is one entity the existence of which we cannot explain, namely
the universe; with God there is one entity the existence of which we cannot explain, namely God.
Positing the existence of God, then, raises as many problems as it solves, and so the cosmological
argument leaves us in no better position than it found us, with one entity the existence of which we
cannot explain. If, on the other hand, God is thought not to have a cause of his existence, i.e. if God is
thought to be an uncaused being, then this too raises difficulties for the simple cosmological argument.
For if God were an uncaused being then his existence would

Walt Disney Conflicts
Jones (2013) states that organizational conflict is the clash that occurs when the goal directed behavior
of one group blocks or thwarts the goals of another (p. 391). In the case study Politics at Walt Disney
the CEO Eisner began losing favor with the company when the firm s performance began to fall.
Despite having handpicked a majority of the board members Eisner could not deny the company s loss
of performance. Pondy (as cited by Jones, 2013) developed a model of organizational conflict which
lists five sources of conflict in stages. In stage one latent conflict is described as not having any direct
obvious conflicts; however disparities and divisional differences are apparent. Stage two perceived
conflict occurs when another division believes their goals are being restrained by another section.
Stage three felt conflict each section begin harboring direct resentment against each other. Stage four
manifest conflict happen when each section exhibits some form of retaliation against the other
department. Finally, stage five conflict aftermath happens when the conflict has been resolved, but
more often than not the conflict arises again. All the members of the top management team are
corporate managers, whose responsibility is to set strategy for the corporation (Jones, 2013, p. 40).
The various sources of conflict and politics that plagues Walt Disney in the past were in operating
under his agenda instead of for the company and its shareholders. Eisner

Medieval Vs Medieval Christmas
Christmas is all about giving, friends and family gathering, feasting together, with beautiful music,
decorations and singing Christmas carols throughout the neighborhood. It is a time of ornaments, red
and green decoration, silver bells, holly, mistletoe and colorful lights. They say that it is the season to
be jolly, but how did Christmas become such a jolly and most wonderful holiday? Understanding the
religious and cultural aspects of the Medieval Christmas, such as the origin of Christmas and the
traditional celebrations of Christmas, can help us to understand and celebrate today s Christmas more
meaningfully.
The word Christmas comes from Cristes Maesse, a Middle English phrase that means Christ s Mass .

Feasting was a major part of a medieval Christmas celebration. Some of the main dishes served
included goose, venison, humble pie, mince pie and Christmas pudding. Although turkey is the most
common meat served during the holidays today, birds were not introduced to Europe during the
Middle Ages therefore, goose was the most common meat served. Venison was also a popular
alternative in medieval Christmas celebrations but was only limited to the higher class. Humble pies
were also a popular Christmas food during the medieval times. During Christmas, a Lord would give
away unwanted parts of a deer to the lower class and they would mix the heart, liver, brains and all
kinds of organs of a deer with other ingredients to make humble pie. Mince pies on the other hand
were filled with all sorts of shredded meat along with spices and fruit and were served in rectangular
cases that represented the crib of baby Jesus. The spices such as cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg also
represented the gifts brought to Jesus by the three wise men. The same spices were also used for the
making of the Christmas puddings. Christmas puddings evolved from the medieval dish of frumenty a
spicy porridge that was served as dessert and were part of the medieval tradition of Christmas

A New World Of Revenue Recognition
Article Write Up 1 Yeaton (2015) research titled A New World of Revenue Recognition about the
discussion of the new revenue recognition standard, jointly issued by FASB and IASB, which is
effective after December 15, 2016 for public companies and after December 15, 2017 for private
companies and non profit organizations (p.50). Yeaton identified that the new revenue recognition
standard will supersede most, if not all existing revenue standards (p.50). Yeaton summarized the
purpose of the GAAP and IFRS converged standards on revenue recognition to provide consistent
guidance to replace or remove the transaction and industry or geographic specific guidelines, to
simplify or streamline current revenue criterion, and to enhance disclosure statement to demonstrate
the nature, timing, amount and uncertainty of cash flow and revenue (p.50). Yeaton implied that the
new standard of recognizing revenue will have significant impact on real estate and
telecommunications companies, however it will provide variable impact on all companies, and in
order to capture, to align and to justify business decision on revenue measurement, it could potentially
require substantial changes on its existing process, policies and frameworks (p.50). Yeaton recognized
the need of additional or frequent use of judgement and estimation to comply with the new
requirements under the new principles of revenue recognition (p.50). Yeaton (2015) determined areas
where companies would have to make necessary

Ups On The United Parcel Service
The United Parcel Service delivers millions of packages every single day throughout the entire world.
UPS delivers packages to over 200 countries. It is by far one of the biggest delivery companies in the
world. Two teenagers started the company in 1907. By 1975, UPS was serving 48 countries in the
United States. By the 1990s, UPS shifted towards a global footprint that has worked tremendously.
UPS has emerged in many different economies; however, UPS has not had as much market scale, as
they have wanted in India. In 2005 and 2008, they formed alliances with Jet Air and AFL Private Ltd
for better access in India. However, UPS has used more resources in other markets, like China and
Malaysia. Therefore, competitors of UPS will begin to enter India if UPS does not do something soon.
Unfortunately, DHL, one of their competitors, bought an Indian delivery company and it has been
successful. As a result, UPS wants to enter the Indian market with full force, but many questions will
arise to join a market with over a billion people. An external analysis that can be done on UPS is the
PESTEL analysis. From a political standpoint, UPS has to deal with labor unions. In 1997, they
actually had a labor strike due to pensions and pay. As a result, the company lost over 650 million
dollars due to the strike. In order to have a successful business, the workers have to be satisfied. Also,
there are political implications in doing business in India for the delivery companies because it

Antecedents Of Environmental Pollution
An environmental pollutant: Smog
Smog is fundamentally gotten from the converging of two words; smoke and haze. Smog is likewise
used to portray the sort of mist which has smoke or sediment in it. Smog is a yellowish or blackish
haze framed principally by a blend of poisons in the climate which comprises of fine particles and
ground level ozone. Smog which happens principally on account of air contamination, can likewise be
characterized as a blend of different gasses with tidy and water vapor. Smog additionally alludes to
foggy air that makes breathing troublesome.
The environmental contaminations or gasses that shape smog are discharged noticeable all around
when powers are copied. Whenever daylight and its warmth respond with these gasses and fine
particles in the environment, smog is framed. It is simply caused via air contamination. Ground level
ozone and fine particles are discharged noticeable all around because of complex photochemical
responses between unpredictable natural mixes (VOC), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides
(NOx). These VOC, SO2 and NOx are called antecedents. The fundamental wellsprings of these
antecedents are toxins discharged straightforwardly into the air by gas and diesel run vehicles, modern
plants and exercises, and warming because of human exercises.
Smog is regularly caused by overwhelming movement, high temperatures, daylight and quiet winds.
These are few of the variables behind expanding level of air contamination in climate. Amid

The Benefits Of Marching Band
Many people can t see the benefits obtained by being in marching band. If one s social life isn t very
strong, and they aren t very extroverted, marching band is a great solution. My band, the Deltona High
School Blue Brigade, greatly encouraged bonding among band members because band is a family, not
just a music group. Marching band is also a sport. It s a team effort, requiring a lot of physical
exertion, and it gives a sense of competition. Marching band also teaches some hierarchy, which is a
useful thing to know in the workforce. Another important aspect of band is that it s a really good
experience. It may be stressful at times, but it is definitely worth it. Having been in band for seven
years, I can confirm all of this.
Because I have ADHD and Asperger Syndrome, I find it very hard to speak out and socialize. But
since I was in marching band in high school, I found that I was more social. People aren t supposed to
talk in the middle of rehearsal, but that didn t stop the members of my band from bonding outside of
practice time. Band definitely changed the life of a friend of mine. When I first met him in middle
school, he was so shy, he was virtually silent. Thanks to his experience in band, he now often speaks
his mind. Marching band can help many people become more social. After all, band isn t just a group
of people who play music. Band is a family.
A team sport includes two things: physical exertion and team effort. Marching band is both of these
things. It s

How Did The Eureka Stockade Transform Australia
The Eureka Stockade/ Gold Rushes
The Eureka stockade has changed a lot of our history, life would not be the same. We have learned

rebellion was the first of its kinds against British authority in Australia. It was a brief bloody battle
which led to historic reforms for prospectors and government. Today, people ask what, where and
when was the Eureka stockade built, what were the main grievances of the miners, who were the main

The Eureka Stockade had little to do with the democracy that made the miners unware of the impact
that they would have on Australia s history. The Eureka rebellion was a rebellion in 1854, it had gold

diggers formed a Ballarat reform league, they then burnt their licences and the government sent their
troops to Ballarat. It was December 3rd Eureka lead and named for the stockade structure built by

The Eureka Stockade has eventually changed Australia s nation by its important moments in Australia

Corporate Culture Into Talent Management
GE and Berkshire Hathaway
When it comes to articulating one company that has been excellent in aligning human capital with
strategy is GE. T Mobile can find an excellent example of GE s six principles identified as the key to
their success. These include: Aligning recruiting efforts with strategy; making sure the company s
talent management practices fit with each other; making deliberate effort to embed corporate culture
into talent management processes such as hiring methods and leadership development; getting
involvement by managers at all levels, including the CEO; Figuring out the best balance of the
company s global and local needs; and Finding ways to differentiate the company from its competitors
(Brokaw, 2012). According to CEO Jeffrey Immelt, the company s talent management system is its
most powerful implementation too.
Berkshire Hathaway is another organization noted for having an excellent talent management plan.
Socialization is what Noe (2013) describes as the process of helping new hires adjust to social and
performance aspects of their new jobs. As we have previously discussed, having an exceptional talent
management strategy which is inclusive of socialization can allow a company competitive advantage
in the market place. Warren Buffet s, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway investments seem to always
outperform the market. There are three key things he focuses on in his talent management strategy.

In his writing, he illustrates the harsh treatment of blacks, King states, when you see the vast majority
of your twenty million Negro brothers smothering in an airtight cage of poverty in the midst of an

resources to progress and are trapped in poverty. King does a great job of appealing to pathos with this
metaphor because he relates black oppression to an airtight cage and an affluent society with
opportunities of success King creates the feeling of being hopeless and desperation that blacks feel.
Another example of a metaphor used by Martin Luther King Jr. appealing to pathos is his comparison
of the racial injustice to quicksand and a rock solid to brotherhood. In that passage Martin Luther King
Jr. uses quicksand to show that racial injustice is only causing the country to sink while brotherhood is
stability. The metaphor targets emotions by showing how deadly it is to stay in the quicksand of racial
injustice. The metaphors used by Martin Luther King Jr s. writing creates a vivid image of the

but I think as the plot progresses he becomes more vivid and the actions and family circumstances
around him allow he to be pushed over the edge and he gradually becomes the person he originally
just acts as. That s why at first in the beginning acts Hamlet s madness can seems almost harmless and
the only problem he had was grief and depression over his dead father but there was more than the
problems presented at the surface level.
Nevertheless when Hamlet decides to murder Polonius, Hamlet s madness is interpreted differently to
the extent that Gertrude informs Claudius of Hamlet s actions and this is when Claudius states about
Hamlet This mad young man. But so much was our love/ We would not understand what was most

3. Particular analysis results
Links between single variables of health insurance and all remaining variables accounted for 8.85% of
all network connections (Blue and red links in Figure 1. A full list of links is available in the
supplemental material). According to general analysis results, by exploring these links with particular
emphases on those constituting the most relevant relationships with demographics, culture and
income, we explain the role of health insurance in the whole landscape of social resources for
wellbeing.
Forty five pairwise links (23 incoming and 22 outgoing) constitute the relationship between health

Petrarch Sonnet Unrequited Love
Petrified Petrarch
Two hundred years had passed between the sonnets of Petrarch and the reign of Queen Elizabeth. As a
form and structure for poetic life, the sonnet had grown hard. Fourteen lines of rhymed iambic
pentameter remained pregnant with possibilities and vitality, but must the sense turn after the octave
and resolve in the sestet? Love remained in some ways inexpressible without this basic verse form, but
something wasn t right. Too many rose red lips and too much snow white skin belonging to
unattainable lovers did not communicate the prevailing amorous imagination. The conventions were a
little too conventional. The metaphors were gone somewhat stale.
The Reformation had intervened between the Italian Renaissance and ... Show more content on

One reads in Wyatt s sonnets about some justice in love; there is more than unrequited love and
enduring adoration and misery. His male lover expresses a desire to break out of his amorous prison.
This is an anti Petrarchan theme. This is the opposite of the hopelessly adoring pose of the enslaved
Petrarchan lover.
The opening sonnet in Astrophel and Stella begins Loving in truth, and fain in verse my love to show,/
That she, dear she, might take some pleasure of my pain (Longman 987). Sidney begins in imitation of
Petrarch in three ways. The poet s beloved is unkind; so he is plunged into despair. Sidney has also
adopted Petrarch s habit of self scrutiny. Thirdly the thought changes at the end of the eighth line. The
octave tells of the poet s futile efforts to write a poem; the sestet discloses why he had been
unsuccessful. The poet looks to the Petrarchan tradition for inspiration to cure his writer s block. Oft
turning other s leaves, to see if thence would flow/ Some fresh and fruitful showers upon my
sunburned brain (7 8). But this method is unproductive because it lacks the support of imagination.
But words came halting forth, wanting Invention s stay (9).
Sidney is employing the new English sonnet form developed by Surrey. This new structural scheme
divides the poem into three quatrains and a concluding couplet. The rhyme, abab cdcd efef gg, is
easier and more obvious to the ear. This structure is more

De-Cluttering Research Paper
Moving? Follow These 3 De Cluttering Tips
One of the hardest parts of moving is not the move itself, but packing. Chances are that your home is
cluttered, and you need to spend more time than you d like de cluttering before you can even start
packing things up. That s why it helps to follow these 3 tips to de clutter your home prior to packing.
Take Out The Trash
Before you can even start packing, you ll need to take out the trash. Start by getting rid of the garbage
in your home. These are things that you don t want, and have so little value that you cannot sell them.
For example, it includes going through your desk drawers and throwing away old paperwork that you
do not need, or tossing food in your pantry that has expired. By getting rid of these things now, you
won t need to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This includes old kids clothes and toys that they have outgrown, or maybe some old DVDs that you
have not watched in years. Now is the time to sell these things and make some cash off of them. Every
penny counts, and if you can make a few bucks from something rather than throwing it away, it will be
worth it.
Try posting things on Craigslist, or check if your area has a garage sale Facebook group. Selling
something is as simple as taking a photo and making a post, and you ll know instantly if somebody
has interest or if it should be thrown away.
Handle Sentimental Stuff For Last
People tend to slow down de cluttering when they get around to sentimental items. This could include
old artwork from your kids, or even organizing photos. It s best to deal with these things last, since
they can be the most time consuming to sort through. Worst case scenario is that you don t get through
the small amount of sentimental stuff you have and you end up moving it to your new home to sort
later.

Abbey s Five Senses

on using the five senses to describe every detail. In his essay, Abbey describes the sunsets as elaborate
sunsets in every named and unnamed hue of gold, purple, crimson, green, orange, and blue, spread out
for fifty or a hundred miles among the floating ranks of clouds. The inclusiveness of the senses
continues in his description of the sounds or the silence that he hears in the desert. In his essay, he
articulates that Almost every day of the week I have been honored by the serenade of a den of coyotes.
And further on Abbey reveals that the coyote s music sounds like the legendary wail of banshees, or

Research Paper On Megacity
What is a megacity? A megacity is a densely populated metropolitan area with a total population
exceeding 10 million people. The rise of such densely populated urban areas make for an appealing
community, but with all the fascination and glamour comes many social, economic and environmental
obstacles that can often be difficult to overcome.
An example of such a city is Sao Paulo. Located in the south east region of Brazil, Sao Paulo is the
12th largest city in the world. The city is not densely populated, with a total population of 21,900,000.
Sao Paulo was established in 1554 and became an official city in 1711. The city is involved in many
major industries: business, automotive, pharmaceutical, oil, gas and capital goods are just a few. An
industry that Sao Paulo is mostly associated with is business. It is considered as Latin America s main
business centre with the largest number of multinational offices in the southern hemisphere and one of
the largest stock exchanges in the world. About 64% of the working age population (aged 15 and
above) is employed, 6% is unemployed and want to work, while 31% is economically inactive. About
half of the working population works informally, working jobs which are not recognised as normal
income sources, and on which taxes are not paid.
Expansion of the city is due mostly to population growth after the discovery of both gold and coffee.
Gold was discovered at the end of the 17th century and coffee was discovered in the 19th century.

Socialization Of Male And Female Roles
Socialization is defined as the process by which people acquire behaviors and beliefs of their social

jobs like housewife or nursing. However, with a broad understanding that girls can do whatever job

The Supply Of Supply Chain Management Essay
The supply chain management basically involves processes and activities which are involved in the
planning, organising, controlling and implementing the cost effective flow of goods from the point of
origin to the point of consumption. The whole process will have different players like the supplier,
manufacturer, distributor, retailers and the customers themselves as the end point of consumption. The
supply chain has changed drastically over the years. This days they are very global in nature.
Involving various complex interactions and flow of goods, data and funds between companies which
are situated in different countries and continents. Even though the companies are spread across the
world the manufacturing plants generally follow a similar structure which normally comprises of the
suppliers, manufacturing plants, distributors, retailers, inbound and outbound logistics providers.
There were a lot of challenges which arose because of the competition which made the companies to
rethink their strategies in order to get the product to the right place at the right time at the lowest cost
possible. The companies should always look at improving the whole supply chain and every player in
the chain should coordinate with one another if they want to increase the efficiency. The organisation
should realise the strategic importance of supply chain as it is a key to building a sustainable
competitive edge. (Li, Ragu Nathan, Ragu Nathan, Rao, 2006). There is always a constant flow

James Prescott Joue Research Paper
James Prescott Joule, the eminent English physicist, is widely known for his scientific contributions.
However, I admire him for another reason as well: his ability to reconcile the role of science with that
of his Christian faith. Although he lived in a day where religion and science were often antagonistic,
he remained a man fully committed to both. His epitaph is from John 9:4: I must work the works of
him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Although Catholicism is
relatively uncommon in China, I claim this faith, and share Joule s perspective that faith does not
provide complete truth apart from scientific inquiry.

Compared with chemical propulsion, it is much safer and more efficient due to jts lesser dependence
on propellants to produce the overall same effect. NASA actively propels the development of Solar
Electric Propulsion which is a strong sign that electric propulsion is definitely a promising research
direction. However, two main problems issues still needed to be solved. Firstly, most of electric
propulsion devices are designed for spacecraft; however, low amounts of electrical power are
available onboard. Secondly, electric thrusters work with small flows of propellants which result in
knockdown acceleration. Both of these could be solved by finding better alternative propellants or
coming up with innovative design methods. As one of the world leading technology institutions,
Princeton set up the Electric Propulsion and Plasma Dynamics Laboratory to focus on the lithium
Lorentz force accelerator. Because of enthusiasm Princeton shows in the electric propulsion and
efforts made to push its development, I wish I could have the opportunity to join the Mechanical and
Aerospace Engineering Department at Princeton and study with Professor Edgar Choueiri. Also, I am
interested in discussing with Professor Craig Arnold s and Emily A. Carter about their research on
clean energy. The advent of the Solar Electric Propulsion will be around 2030 and I hope to spend the
next decade working toward its development. My plan is to finish the master s program in two years
and continue to the Ph.D. degree study with an experimental thesis. Afterward, my dream is to
continue my research work at Jet Propulsion Laboratory and contribute to the development of better

The Effect of Serotonin on the Brain in Suicide Patients
While this writer had some rudimentary knowledge of the impact serotonin had on the brain, Why?
The Neuroscience of Suicide by Carol Ezzell piqued my curiosity on the role levels of serotonin and
the process by which it is absorbed in the brain affect suicidal patients. This article was recently
posted on the Neurology and Behavior website as supplemental reading for neurology and behavior s
spring semester 2003 class. In this article the writer Carol Ezzell weaves her own personal experience
with informative reporting of groundbreaking neuroscience research on suicide. Through further

Roughly seven years later Carol Ezzell revisits Dr. Mann s research with his colleague Victoria
Arango. Arango s research, presented in 2001, at a conference of the American College of
Neuropsychopharmacology had determined that people who were depressed and died by suicide
contained fewer neurons in the orbital prefrontal cortex and that in suicide brains, that area had one
third the number of presynaptic serotonin transporters that control the brains had but roughly 30
percent more post synaptic serotonin receptors . (2) This means that the brain is trying extra hard to
deliver whatever serotonin it could produce to the correct part of the brain. This system of serotonin
production and absorption is known as the serotonergic system. The serotonergic system is what
Arango believes is deficient in people who attempt or commit suicide. (2)
Arango and Mann are developing a positron emission tomography (PET) test that measures
serotonergic system. This system would monitor the areas of the brain using serotonin in patients who
have the most skewed serotonin circuitry and are therefore at highest risk of suicide . (2)
None of these articles in anyway suggest that an individual with serotonin deficiency will be a victim
of suicide. Victoria Arango of the New York State Psychiatric Institute says the occurrence of suicide
starts with having an

The Current Challenges With Curriculum Of South Africa
Introduction
In this essay I will state the current challenges with curriculum of South Africa, and what impact it has
on me as a student teacher and my future as a teacher of South Africa. I will state implications of
integrating the curriculum in the class and what it means to transfer the curriculum to the learners in
my class.
My essay will be based upon a critical rationalism philosophical perspective. And based upon my own
world view.
According to (Smith, 2015) critical rationalism also known as scientific rationalism is being referred
to as a philosophy that encourages open mindedness, which means that critical rationalism is anti
dogmatic and anti authoritarian. Its states according to (Smith, 2015) that critical rationalism is
completely against societies where people cannot speak their minds freely and discuss things openly.
I will also discuss my own opinion on critical rationalism and what it means to me.

German Unification Of Germany
German unification was a changing aspect in European history because of the fact that Germany was
reliant on their leader Bismarck. Before unification Germany was isolated into thirty nine individual
states, which was united in a procedure that began in 1849 and finished in 1871.The principal architect
of unification was a German statesman, Otto Von Bismarck. Bismarck #39;s main aim was to unite the
German states into one capable nation and gain control for Prussia. He was beginning to create and
refine his claim political logic, quot;Realpolitik quot;. This was summed up in the statement he made:
quot; The only sound foundation of a great state is state egoism and not romanticism it is unworthy of
a great state to fight for something in which it has no interest. quot; He aimed at making Prussia the
leader of Germany, and
Germany the leading nation of Europe. Therefore, he promised to utilize the strategies for quot;blood
and iron quot; to bring all the German nation together under the Prussian monarchy.
There were three short Prussian wars during the nineteenth century which brought about the
unification of the German states. The war against Denmark (1864), The Austro Prussian War (1866),
and
The Franco Prussian war (1870 1871). The importance of the war against Denmark was that it was a
means of gaining the help of Prussia towards the new army reforms. The war against Austria brought
about the final defeat of liberalism in Germany and the removal of Austria in all German

What Role Did Roden Play In The Theology Of The Davidians
Houteff bought a plot of land and moved outside Waco, Texas, bringing just under a hundred followers
with him and thereby establishing the Davidian sect. They built a variety of buildings and named the
location Mount Carmel after the mount where Elijah overcame the prophets of Baal. On a side note,
this Mount Carmel was different from the one involved in the Branch Davidian inferno. Houteff did
not want to break away from the Seventh day Adventism and continued to view his evangelistic
message as directed to the Adventist church. Seventh day Adventism continued to play a major role in
the theology of the Davidians though their relationship was bitter. The Davidian sect grew and

Roden affirmed the leadership of Victor and Ellen White and especially the need for a righteous
remnant. Roden is responsible for the adoption of the name Branch, claiming it as the new name of
Christ according to Isaiah 11:1. The Davidians, under Roden, became the Branch Davidians. Roden
implemented observance of Old Testament festivals, which wasn t a big leap from strict Sabbath
practice. He was also incredibly passionate about Israel and attempted to establish a group of
Davidians within Israel. If they were able to move the Davidians to Israel, they would be one step
closer to the millennium and their final earthly dwelling place. Under Roden, Branch Davidians
believed that the truth of God would proceed from Jerusalem and since they contained the truth of
God, it was necessary that they move to Israel. Unfortunately, Roden s dream was never completely
actualized and upon his death in 1978, his wife Lois Roden assumed leadership of the Branch
Davidians. Unlike Florence Houteff, Lois Roden received visions prior to the death of her husband
and was even considered a prophetess, whereas Florence was just considered the leader. As the
prophetic voice of the Branch Davidians, she formulated new theology, the most important being that
the Holy Spirit is feminine. According to her, the notion of Father and Son in the

Theme Of Reputation In The Crucible
Reputation is extremely important in a town where social standing is tied to one s ability to follow
religious rules. Your good name is the only way you can get other people to do business with you or
even get a fair hearing. Of course, reputation meant nothing when a witchcraft accusation was staring
you in the face. But reputation is what made the Reverend hale begin to doubt whether the accused
individuals were actually guilty. And it was for the sake of his reputation and his friends reputations
that John Proctor refused to sign a false confession. He would, quite literally, rather die. Although
John Proctor goes to his death falsely condemned as a witch, he gains his reputation and respect
among those who matter, like his wife, because he refuses to falsely identify his friends and
neighbours as witches. The loss of Abigail s reputation toward the end of the play shows that
characters in The Crucible eventually earn the reputations they deserve, despite the personal tragedies
that might take place along the way. Having a good reputation is very important in The Crucible. It
means you can be accepted by society. If you do not have a good name, you will be completely
rejected. John Proctor would no longer be thought of a morally straight and righteous person.
Reverend Parris would lose all his respect and not be accepted by society. Judge Danforth would be
constantly questioned and lose his job. Keeping and maintaining your good name is an overwhelming

  • 2. Essay on Alcohol vs Marijuana Alcohol vs Marijuana There is no culture in the history of mankind that did not ever use some kind (kinds) of drugs. Despite the well known consequences of drug addiction, millions of people constantly consume different legal and illegal drugs. Affecting people s mind and changing their behavior, drugs become one of the most threatening factors of social risk, resulting in increasing rates of mortality, aggressive and criminal behavior, and dissolution of social ties. This paper is devoted to comparison of social science outcome characteristics for two of the most commonly used drugs in the groups of legal and illegal drugs alcohol in the first and marijuana in the second. It is argued that hardly any of two can be seen preferable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They also identify a latent function that is associated with making a drug legal or illegal. To make a drug illegal is to strengthen the agencies that have been established to control them. The moral entrepreneur has a lot of power and money to make drugs legal or illegal, whatever is in their best interest. Conflict theorist emphasize how drugs are used as a political tool. They decide whether a drug is criminalized or not. The conflict theorists used the laws against the Chinese immigrants in the 1800 s. Continuous use of a certain drug results in the need to consume higher doses in order to achieve the same effect and by negative and painfully felt effects of sudden withdrawal of the drug. The drug not only acts as a reinforcer, but sets the stage for the development of the motivation to obtain the drug. (Timmons Hamilton). When this motivation develops, it becomes ...the major focus of a person s life to the exclusion of other activities ... and begins ...to harm the individual or others physically, mentally, or socially... (Engs). This stage of drug abuse is known as addiction. Addicts become obsessed of the object, seeking it they get engaged in harmful behavior, which draws them away from family, friends, and studying. • 3. The Bedside Shift Of Patient Participation Abstract Recognizing that patient participation is vital to their personal medical care, healthcare organizations are conducting nursing staff shift reports at the bedside in the patient s presence. Bedside reports aim to avoid communication failures by exchanging real time information at shift change. Bedside reporting is a new alternative to the customary change of shift report that traditionally takes place in a unit hallway or at the nurse s station. This provides an opportunity for questions before valuable information is lost or overlooked. In this literature review of bedside shift reporting, three studies were compared in order to show that a patient s perspective is valued as they can see and hear from the team of professionals who are providing their care. Bedside shift report also improves the nurses understanding of the patient s condition as the nurse is able to visualize the patient and share relevant information. Bedside Shift Report Literature Review The bedside shift report occurs between the outgoing and oncoming nurse next to the patient s bedside at shift change. It is intended to engage patients in the conversation and exchange of information. This gives both nurses and the patient the opportunity to ask questions and verify important information about the patient s history and care plan. In a research article by Lamond (2000), the assistive role of the nursing shift report in information processing and plan of care discussion was examined. This study ... • 4. Most Important Critical Factors This semester in CPD VI, I sat down and determined what my critical factors are to help me better find the best fit for me in terms of where I want to work after graduation. A little over a year ago in CPD III I made a list of the top ten critical factors like I did this year. After comparing the two lists from CPD III and CPD IV side by side I realized that a majority of the critical factors were the same. The main difference that I seen was mostly the order of the critical factors from most important to lest important. At this stage of my career it is important for me to determine my critical factors and choose rotation sites that are best suited for me so that I can get the most out of my experiences. In CPD III my most important critical factors in the order from most important to least important were: job security, opportunity for leadership development, income, benefits, working with a team, business management, helping people, variety of daily activities, work schedule, and finally entrepreneurial opportunities. Does the conflict of equality co exist between all social classes? In the selections of What s Gender Got to Do with It? in the book They Say, I Say, gender equality is evaluated in many forms by either sex and from different social class divisions. Do wealthy males compare themselves equally with wealthy females and vice versa for the same concepts of middle class and lower societies? • 6. The Moral Attributes Of Friendship Friendship is a type of love called philia that is fundamentally grounded in both a common interest and a desire for each other s well being. The moral attributes of both individuals that are involved are significant in their friendship. According to Aristotle in Nicomachean Ethics, it is because of these moral attributes that we were friends (149). Morality is a set of ideals that should be strived for because they are helpful to humanity. Moral changes occur when people begin to or stop doing these ideals. Is it ethical to depart from a genuine friend due to a change in morality, for better or worse, by either party? In most other situations, it is immoral to depart a friendship because philia is a patient, but still conditional, form of love. In necessary situations, Aristotle argues that ending a relationship is reasonable. If the members of a genuine friendship change morally, it should lead to departure. This conclusion assumes that people can change themselves ethically and that people who are a part of a genuine friendship can end their relationship. A reasonable problem with this thesis is the possibility that any declared friendship, which is not necessarily genuine, that ends with departure must have never been a genuine friendship to begin with. If it is true that legitimate friendships cannot be broken, then it follows that even a change in morality that alters the friendship itself cannot lead to departure unless it was never a friendship after all. • 7. My Writing Skills By Unlocking My Intellectual Mind When I first enter this classroom, ENG 3305, I consider myself a simple communications writer. I would simply read or study a situation, then write about it by stating the facts, narrating an event or idea, or simply give instructions on a task to do. I took this course with the notion of improving my writing skills by unlocking my intellectual mind and become more critical and analytical of the information I was to write about. My expectations for my writing skills was to become more assertive when explaining things in writing. I do not possess a large or extensive vocabulary as I would like to as a writer, however, I could compensate by becoming more creative with my writing style, and that is what my goal was when I decided to take ... She didn t need them, but she bought them anyways, it proved that she was not someone to feel bad for. She was not hurting for money, yet she gave the impression that she did. In the party where she was catering, she broke the crystal not because she was careless, moreover, she was upset because of the guests in a table talking; in her mind, she believed she was smarter and better than them. The other point I fail to notice, was when she talked about her mom, the mom was someone who was very critical about black actors. She believed black actors gave a bad impression of blacks because they were giving condescending role, hence she said blacks don t belong in movies. However, she was a light skin woman pretending to be a French maid, because her employer wanted that from her. She was lying about everything, she believed. The essay reflects the problems with dreams. They were in Hollywood because they liked the movies, the movies made them dream and by living there, they were closer to their dreams, but when dreams chattered we have nothing, dreams are the problem and the narrator finally sees that in the end, hence I missed this point when I wrote my response. • 8. The Potential Impact of Electric Vehicles on the Oil Industry The Potential Impact of Electric Vehicles on the Oil Industry Question A Crude price differentials refer to the differences which are seen in the prices of the different types of crude oil (Oosterman, 2013, para. 2). Sweet crude, such as West Texas Intermediate (WTI), tends to be favored over sour crude as it has a higher yield, requires less refining to meet sulfur content standards, and has fewer environmental issues (Oosterman, 2013, para. 4). Therefore, the sweet crude tends to have a higher price compared to other types of crude. If a technological breakthrough occurs, making electric vehicles popular and cheap to purchase resulting in 50% of consumers switching to electric vehicles this will have a significant impact on the demand for the gasoline, which would see a decline of 50% (assuming that all consumers use the approximately the same level of fuel). If there is a decline in the demand for the gasoline, this will result in a demand for the oil used to make the gasoline, as shown in figure 1 below. If the supply remains the same but the demand decreases the price will decrease (Nellis and Parker, p119). Figure SEQ Figure * ARABIC 1; Decrease in demand INCLUDEPICTURE ../../../../AppData/Local/Temp/scl3.PNG * MERGEFORMAT (Adapted from Nellis and Parker, 2006, p27) However, this is the overall position of the oil, as there are some oils that are in a greater demand than others, it is likely that the price equilibrium will move at a different rate, as ... • 9. The Cosmological Argument for the Existence of God The cosmological argument for the existence of god According to St. John 8:31 32 said, If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free . This sentence is come from the bible, but I am not a christian, so I do not really understand what this means. I guess it was talking about if people believe in god, and trust his words, and in the end the will get the freedom. For many of christians, they believes in god, but many of the treatises of theologians and Christian philosophers can shed much light on the existence of God, the problem of evil and other objections raised by modern unbelievers. So, what I going to talk about is cosmological argument for the existence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On the other hand, some people do not believed in god typed things. To explain this objection, and how the two forms of cosmological argument evade it, I ll use a simple, generic statement of the cosmological argument: (1) Everything that exists has a cause of its existence. (2) The universe exists. Therefore:(3) The universe has a cause of its existence. (4) If the universe has a cause of its existence, then that cause is God. Therefore:(5) God exists. This argument is subject to a simple objection, introduced by asking, Does God have a cause of his existence? If, on the one hand, God is thought to have a cause of his existence, then positing the existence of God in order to explain the existence of the universe doesn t get us anywhere. Without God there is one entity the existence of which we cannot explain, namely the universe; with God there is one entity the existence of which we cannot explain, namely God. Positing the existence of God, then, raises as many problems as it solves, and so the cosmological argument leaves us in no better position than it found us, with one entity the existence of which we cannot explain. If, on the other hand, God is thought not to have a cause of his existence, i.e. if God is thought to be an uncaused being, then this too raises difficulties for the simple cosmological argument. For if God were an uncaused being then his existence would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Walt Disney Conflicts Jones (2013) states that organizational conflict is the clash that occurs when the goal directed behavior of one group blocks or thwarts the goals of another (p. 391). In the case study Politics at Walt Disney the CEO Eisner began losing favor with the company when the firm s performance began to fall. Despite having handpicked a majority of the board members Eisner could not deny the company s loss of performance. Pondy (as cited by Jones, 2013) developed a model of organizational conflict which lists five sources of conflict in stages. In stage one latent conflict is described as not having any direct obvious conflicts; however disparities and divisional differences are apparent. Stage two perceived conflict occurs when another division believes their goals are being restrained by another section. Stage three felt conflict each section begin harboring direct resentment against each other. Stage four manifest conflict happen when each section exhibits some form of retaliation against the other department. Finally, stage five conflict aftermath happens when the conflict has been resolved, but more often than not the conflict arises again. All the members of the top management team are corporate managers, whose responsibility is to set strategy for the corporation (Jones, 2013, p. 40). Venison was also a popular alternative in medieval Christmas celebrations but was only limited to the higher class. Humble pies were also a popular Christmas food during the medieval times. Yeaton identified that the new revenue recognition standard will supersede most, if not all existing revenue standards (p.50). Yeaton summarized the purpose of the GAAP and IFRS converged standards on revenue recognition to provide consistent guidance to replace or remove the transaction and industry or geographic specific guidelines, to simplify or streamline current revenue criterion, and to enhance disclosure statement to demonstrate the nature, timing, amount and uncertainty of cash flow and revenue (p.50). Yeaton implied that the new standard of recognizing revenue will have significant impact on real estate and telecommunications companies, however it will provide variable impact on all companies, and in order to capture, to align and to justify business decision on revenue measurement, it could potentially require substantial changes on its existing process, policies and frameworks (p.50). It is by far one of the biggest delivery companies in the world. Two teenagers started the company in 1907. By 1975, UPS was serving 48 countries in the United States. By the 1990s, UPS shifted towards a global footprint that has worked tremendously. UPS has emerged in many different economies; however, UPS has not had as much market scale, as they have wanted in India. In 2005 and 2008, they formed alliances with Jet Air and AFL Private Ltd for better access in India. However, UPS has used more resources in other markets, like China and Malaysia. Therefore, competitors of UPS will begin to enter India if UPS does not do something soon. Unfortunately, DHL, one of their competitors, bought an Indian delivery company and it has been successful. As a result, UPS wants to enter the Indian market with full force, but many questions will arise to join a market with over a billion people. An external analysis that can be done on UPS is the PESTEL analysis. From a political standpoint, UPS has to deal with labor unions. In 1997, they actually had a labor strike due to pensions and pay. If one s social life isn t very strong, and they aren t very extroverted, marching band is a great solution. My band, the Deltona High School Blue Brigade, greatly encouraged bonding among band members because band is a family, not just a music group. Marching band is also a sport. It s a team effort, requiring a lot of physical exertion, and it gives a sense of competition. Marching band also teaches some hierarchy, which is a useful thing to know in the workforce. Another important aspect of band is that it s a really good experience. It may be stressful at times, but it is definitely worth it. Having been in band for seven years, I can confirm all of this. Because I have ADHD and Asperger Syndrome, I find it very hard to speak out and socialize. But since I was in marching band in high school, I found that I was more social. People aren t supposed to talk in the middle of rehearsal, but that didn t stop the members of my band from bonding outside of practice time. Band definitely changed the life of a friend of mine. When I first met him in middle school, he was so shy, he was virtually silent. Thanks to his experience in band, he now often speaks his mind. Marching band can help many people become more social. King does a great job of appealing to pathos with this metaphor because he relates black oppression to an airtight cage and an affluent society with opportunities of success King creates the feeling of being hopeless and desperation that blacks feel. Another example of a metaphor used by Martin Luther King Jr. appealing to pathos is his comparison of the racial injustice to quicksand and a rock solid to brotherhood. As a form and structure for poetic life, the sonnet had grown hard. Fourteen lines of rhymed iambic pentameter remained pregnant with possibilities and vitality, but must the sense turn after the octave and resolve in the sestet? Love remained in some ways inexpressible without this basic verse form, but something wasn t right. Too many rose red lips and too much snow white skin belonging to unattainable lovers did not communicate the prevailing amorous imagination. The conventions were a little too conventional. One reads in Wyatt s sonnets about some justice in love; there is more than unrequited love and enduring adoration and misery. His male lover expresses a desire to break out of his amorous prison. This is an anti Petrarchan theme. This is the opposite of the hopelessly adoring pose of the enslaved Petrarchan lover. The opening sonnet in Astrophel and Stella begins Loving in truth, and fain in verse my love to show,/ That she, dear she, might take some pleasure of my pain (Longman 987). Sidney begins in imitation of Petrarch in three ways. The poet s beloved is unkind; so he is plunged into despair. Sidney has also adopted Petrarch s habit of self scrutiny. Thirdly the thought changes at the end of the eighth line. The octave tells of the poet s futile efforts to write a poem; the sestet discloses why he had been unsuccessful. The poet looks to the Petrarchan tradition for inspiration to cure his writer s block. Oft turning other s leaves, to see if thence would flow/ Some fresh and fruitful showers upon my sunburned brain (7 8). But this method is unproductive because it lacks the support of imagination. But words came halting forth, wanting Invention s stay (9). Sidney is employing the new English sonnet form developed by Surrey. It is considered as Latin America s main business centre with the largest number of multinational offices in the southern hemisphere and one of the largest stock exchanges in the world. About 64% of the working age population (aged 15 and above) is employed, 6% is unemployed and want to work, while 31% is economically inactive. About half of the working population works informally, working jobs which are not recognised as normal income sources, and on which taxes are not paid. Even though the companies are spread across the world the manufacturing plants generally follow a similar structure which normally comprises of the suppliers, manufacturing plants, distributors, retailers, inbound and outbound logistics providers. There were a lot of challenges which arose because of the competition which made the companies to rethink their strategies in order to get the product to the right place at the right time at the lowest cost possible. The companies should always look at improving the whole supply chain and every player in the chain should coordinate with one another if they want to increase the efficiency. But reputation is what made the Reverend hale begin to doubt whether the accused individuals were actually guilty.
