Literature Review On Quality Of Life
Perhaps the most astounding findings across this literature review were how music improved the
quality of life for almost all patients studied. Sole, Mercadal Brotons, Galati, and De Castro (2014)
specifically focused their study on using music therapy to improve quality of life. During twelve
weekly music therapy sessions, sixteen participants with differing levels of dementia were followed.
The patient s diagnoses included Alzheimer s Disease, Vascular dementia, Parkinson s disease, and
cognitive deterioration with possible dementia. The Global Deterioration Scale (GDS) was used to
score the participants, and nine were found to have mild dementia, five moderate, and two with severe
levels of dementia. All participants had lived in a nursing home for an average of three years. Most
participants had little to no hearing impairment, had a primary level of education, and a high quality of
emotional support.
Sole et al. also scored each participant using the Ceneralitat de Catalunya (GENCAT) Quality of Life
scale. This quality of life scale focused on eight areas that are significant in determining quality of life.
Emotional well being (security, contentment), interpersonal relationships, material well being (having
money, a home, or a job), personal development (self fulfillment, and acquiring new skills), physical
well being, self determination (autonomy), social inclusion (feeling like a contributing member of
society, and feeling supported by others), and rights (equal

Compare The Validation And Verification Methods For The...
There are various methods you can use to validate the reliability of the information. The information
will only be reliable if the information is being received from a dependable source. The accuracy of
the information and the relevance of it should also be up for consideration. There can be many ways of
errors occurring in the information from human error when inputting it to the source material being
incorrect or inaccurate. The two main techniques used to test the reliability of the information are the
validation and verification methods. The verification method involves checking that the data entered
will match up with the original source. The two main ways of doing this is either to use proofreading
techniques or to use the double entry ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The validation methods comprise of making sure that the data entered makes sense and is reasonable.
There are various forms of validation from checking the format to the range etc. There are five key
checks that are used when validating the information: format check, length check, presence check,
range check and spell check. The format check would be checking if the data is in a correct format, for
example a pin number should have four numbers and therefore it should not contain any letters etc.
The check would bring this to the attention of the user if the wrong format was being used. Length
check is the check used in order to see if the data is either too long or too short. For example if the pin
number is four numbers long then the length check will examine the data to make sure that it is the
correct length and in that case it would be four characters long. The presence check is to examine
whether data has been inputted into a field as some fields may require data entry. In a lot of databases
it is required for data to be entered into certain fields and if not then this may cause problems to the

Workplace Romance
SEXUALITY IN THE WORKPLACE Licresha Pierce Strayer University Professor Honore
Workplace romance exists when two members of the same organization develop a relationship with
mutual attraction. Individuals who develop workplace romances may cause damages to morale and
productivity. However companies are still confused whether or not they should interfere in the
romantic relationship. Many companies are trying to figure out what department should get involved
and what policies should be set and should there be set guidelines? There are pros and cons to
developing a relationship with a co worker. Some advantages would be to motivate employees,

CRA is a vague area and it can be one person s word against the other when it goes sour. Ethical
principles are based on the individual or group and what they think is right or wrong. What may seem
right to some maybe wrong to others. So companies need to keep in mind the different beliefs. There
is also a right to privacy, so by implementing a CRA it should be clear. Nonfraternization policies
Having clear policies that govern behaviors and relationships acceptable in the workplace is the first
step employers should take to control dangerous workplace romances (Lieber 2008). There are
different types of nonfraternization policies. Some employees ban on any dating in the workplace.
They are not legally enforced because they are considered overbroad. Another policy prohibits
supervisors from dating and employee because of the power between the two may cause the employee
to feel pressured to start or stay in the relationship and finally the most common and most
recommended policy prohibits supervisors from dating subordinates who are in the supervisor s direct
chain of command. Ethical behavior should be considered when allowing workplace romance. I think
from an employer s perspective they have to consider certain things such as respecting a person s
moral principles such as honesty, fairness, equality, respecting the dignity, diversity and the rights of
other people. Being ethical means doing the right thing in any situation.

The Importance Of Flashbulb Memories
How can a human forget to turn the lights off when they leave the house, but remember exactly where
they were when JFK was assassinated? The answer to this phenomenon has long been researched and
the answer is a term referred to as flashbulb memories, which can be defined as a detailed and vivid
memory that is stored on one occasion and retained for a lifetime (Schachter, Gilbert, Wegner, Nock,
2015). These memories can be composed of insignificant but vivid details about the situation in which
the news was received (Demiray Freund, 2015). Flash bulb memories are believed to encompass
various memories including positive and negative events that have affected entire nations or just one
individual, and have correlation with age, proximity, and importance. ... Show more content on

Unfortunately, just as not all memories are positive not all flashbulb memories are positive. A negative
flash bulb memory may be an American remembering exactly where they were when JFK was
assassinated, while a positive memory for the same individual may be remembering exactly where
they were when they learned of Osama Bin Laden s assassination. The idea that one type of flashbulb
memory is more likely to be created than the other has long been debated. A recent study by Demirav
and Freund shows that neither of these memories appears to be more prevalent than the other. There
participants of various ages and ethnicities were asked two recall the death of both Michael Jackson
(negative flashbulb memory) and Osama Bin Laden (positive flashbulb memory), while both
memories had different effects emotionally on the participants the recollection of a flash bulb memory
was the same (Demirav and

Security Issues Of Wireless Sensor Networks

What the security issues are related to Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor networks are very important in everyday life. This new technology is exciting with
unlimited potential for numerous application areas including environmental, medical, military,
transportation, entertainment, emergency management and homeland defence. WSN are connected
with nodes, in WSN communication takes place through air. The exploration subject that I have

An extension of this approach is in network aggregation which aggregates data progressively as it is
passed through a network. In network data aggregation can reduce the data packet size, the number of
data transmissions and the number of nodes involved in gathering data from a WSN. Therefore, in the
field of WSNs, privacy preserving data aggregation is becoming a hot issue in WSNs. To address this
issue, some protocols have been proposed. In this, they provide a comprehensive summary and
comparison of the existing privacy preserving data aggregation protocols for WSNs. WSN is related to
privacy preserving data aggregation protocols (Ping et al 2012). In the authors reviewed privacy
preserving techniques for protecting two types of private information: data oriented and context
oriented privacy. First, authors focuses only on data privacy in order to provide detailed overviews of
the existing privacy preserving data aggregation protocols for WSNs (Ping et al 2012). Two main
security challenges in secure data aggregation are confidentiality and integrity of data (Sugandhi et al
2013). While traditionally encryption is used to provide end to end confidentiality in Wireless Sensor
Network (WSN), the aggregators in a secure data aggregation scenario need to decrypt the encrypted
data to perform aggregation. Thus, while data aggregation improves energy efficiency of a network, it
complicates the existing

Phantom Of The Opera
The story of The Phantom of the Opera is a romantic drama with a pinch of action. It revolves arounds
a girl named Christine who loses both her parents at a young age, and picks up singing and dance. She
soon becomes the best singer at the opera, and falls in the middle of a love triangle. One of the corners
of the triangle so to speak, is a phantom, who kidnaps the man who Christine truly loves, and threatens
to blow up the opera with everyone in it, unless Christine marries him.
Opera singer Christine rocks the gala on the night of the managers retirement. Raoul, Christine s
childhood friend, hears her sing and remembers his love for Christine. There are rumors of a phantom
who is living at the Opera and he shows him presence to the managers through letters and acts of evil.
Against the will of the Phantom, the Paris Opera performs Faust, with Carlotta playing the lead.
During the performance, Carlotta loses her voice and the chandelier falls into the audience. Christine
gets kidnapped by the phantom and who takes her to his home in the basement of the Opera where he

Determinism In Jack London s To Build A Fire
An Analytic Jack London s story named To Build a Fire has many themes attached to it. Through this
story, the author attempts to convey messages regarding man s mental makeup and process. The
overall theme is one of a battle between naturalism and determinism and various themes linking the
two.
Determinism argues that man does not have free will but rather their circumstances are shaped by their
environmental or biological makeup (which is out of their control). In the story, the concept of
determinism is what provides context to the fact that life is amoral; the man defines any negative
outcomes as a lack of luck or an accident which gives credence to the fact that the story starts out as
deterministic in nature. The concept of determinism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The man, although highly adept at the management of tools and processes to start a fire, was clearly
devoid of instinct when the need for the anticipation of a hazard arose (which is a key component of
survival). The man also did not have the ability to translate the effects of the cold, to the hazard it
posed to him; routinely shrugging off the cold and disregarding the advice given by the man from
Sulphur Creek. On the other hand, the story portrayed the dog as having great instinct in that even
though it does not have the intellectual ability to understand the cold; it instinctively bites the ice
forming between its toes. It is possible to glean from the story that the man is actually fighting against
nature to survive, but the environment does not have any link to the struggles of the man. It is not
nature s determination to hurt the man; rather that nature is indifferent to its inhabitants. The relentless
force of nature causes the man in the story to change his goal after a couple of accidents . Initially, he
started off with the aim of reaching the camp, then it changed to fighting against the frostbite, and
ultimately the instincts kicked in and he merely wanted to stay

Examples Of Double Crossing In Julius Caesar
What does disloyalty mean? Double crossing is the demonstration of breaking or abusing one s trust
or a possible contract, for example, a guarantee, here in Julius Caesar it is more about breaking trust.
The way of double crossing in Julius Caesar originates from Cassius control of Brutus into believing
that slaughtering Caesar is the best thing for the country; while as a general rule, Cassius simply needs
to seize power for himself. How can this contribute How does Brutus double cross Caesar? In act I
Brutus was controlled by Cassius and was persuaded that killing Caesar was the most ideal thing for
the general population of Rome. Later, in act II as Caesar is being killed by the backstabbers, who are
individuals Caesar expected could have accomplished something like this, Brutus enters and wounds
Caesar. Caesar investigated Brutus eyes as he was being wounded. Caeser was stunned and thought
about how Brutus, surprisingly, could have taken an interest in his homicide. This conveys an
exceptionally dim intending to the word selling out, in light of the fact that it demonstrates that even in
a portion of the best kinships they can at present end in manipulating. ... Show more content on

Caesar dependably realized that Cassius didn t care for him all that much however he had an annoying
feeling around a notice that he got from a more abnormal instructing him to be careful the ides of

another government official that listening to his wife would make Caesar resemble a powerless ruler
according to the Roman residents. Caesar went to the senate on the ides of March, where the he was in
the long run killed by the plotters drove by Cassius. This implies double crossing can likewise happen
from individuals who don t have a cozy association with each

The Other Sister Character Analysis
Other Sister was released in 1999, by Touchstone Pictures. It was directed by Garry Marshall, and
featured Juliette Lewis and Giovanni Ribisi. The Other Sister is a heart warming and humorous movie
about two young adult s journey to find their independence. It also happens to feature two main
characters that have intellectual disabilities.
The Other Sister is a movie about a young woman, Carla Tate, who has an intellectual disability. The
movie begins with Carla s father, Radley, picking her up from a boarding school for children with
special needs. Although Radley is excited to see Carla, she seems indifferent towards him. Before

One thing that I may have added was some information about Daniel s past. His parents don t seem
supportive or understanding of him. His father gets upset with him, and cuts off his funding when he
doesn t do well in classes. He then tells Daniel that it s his mother s turn to take care of him. To me, it
seems like neither of his parents really want anything to do with him. I would think that this would
cause Daniel more distress than he shows.
I think that if someone with a disability watched The Other Sister they would think that it sends a
good message. Carla and Daniel aren t perfect or angels like some people think that people with
disabilities are. They are just like neurotypical people in that they have unique strengths and
weaknesses. They really are just their own individual people.
The Other Sister serves as a good reminder that people with disabilities aren t really all that much
different from neurotypical people. I sometimes find myself falling into the trap of thinking that
people with disabilities are innocent or are always in need of help. Just because some people have
disabilities doesn t mean that it s fair of me to hold them all to the same standards. Next time I find
myself generalizing people with disabilities, I will try to step back and see them how they see

Comparing Brahms And Pachelbel s Poem Time Line
Time Line
I detect the scent of round two blowing on the wind that gently courses its way over the hilly horizon
as the sun sets on the final page of a new chapter ... can you see it? Can you feel it? It s warm and
moist and is the color of old, stained and tattered sepia photographs of another time a time lost and
forgotten somewhere in between addiction and sobriety; a time after the birth of our children but
before the death of our parents; a time when love made sense and all the horror in the world couldn t
knock us off the back of the unicorn we once believed into existence with enough conviction to make
it as real as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Jesus and peace.
Oh my! Where has the time gone, and who are the keepers of time? Have they absconded with it,
along with our dreams, our realities, our nightmares? Will they return with it, or shall we just sit here
awaiting the end like two fishermen waiting for a nibble in a dried up lake? The question remains
unanswered just like many others, but wait we must, because we are still at the end of a long line and
our number isn t up yet, and this is one line where line jumpers are more than welcome.

Jonelle Samai. Evelyn Cartright. Eng 210. John Steinbeck.
Jonelle Samai Evelyn Cartright Eng 210 John Steinbeck John Steinbeck was an American Nobel Prize
winner whose work was viewed by many as controversial. Growing up in Salinas Valley California,
Steinbeck enjoyed a comfortable life but opted to work with migrants on a farm. Here, his interest in
the socio economic aspects of life sparked, which later influenced his literary perspective. As an
outspoken democrat and advocate of blue collared America, his critics often argue that his works are
biased and reflect inaccurate depictions of white collar America. This paper will examine three of
Steinbeck s works and two criticisms of them to determine the extent of which his political and socio
economic experiences have influenced his writing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This struggle also heavily influenced his writing perspective in novels like of mice and of men and
Tortilla Flat. Steinbeck, with inspiration from marine biologist Ed Ricketts, dug himself out of the
great depression rut and wrote his first recognizable piece, the Log from The Sea of Cortez. In 1962,
Steinbeck won the Nobel Prize for literature for his realistic and imaginative writing, combining as it
does sympathetic humor and keen social perception. The selection was heavily criticized for Steinbeck
s political stance with some even calling it a win by default. At the end of his career, the famed author
returned to New York and died of heart disease in 1968. His work, however, lives on and even his
memory in the California hall of fame. The first piece that I will be analyzing is the critically
acclaimed, In Dubious Battle. In the story, we meet a young man named Jim Nolan whose family and
dignity was ruined by the economic and social system. with the scars of brutality and starvation deeply
embedded in his heart, Jim becomes a member of the Communist Party. As the story develops, Jim
makes new friends who lack objectivity and encourage him to put party before his own needs, morals
and even aspirations. Jim feels as though he belongs and becomes anxious to get into action with his

Essay about Dances With Wolves
Dances With Wolves
In his movie Dances With Wolves actor Kevin Costner tries to do away with any preconceived notions
that the viewer might have had about the Native American Indians being a savage and inhuman race.
He does this by first unraveling the mysteriousness of the Indians then he brings the viewer to a point
of connectedness with the Indians and their culture. We then come to a sincere appreciation for them
as human beings and individuals and find ourselves siding with them in matters of allegiance. This
movie accomplishes this goal with several tactics and strategies. As the story unfolds we follow the
life of John Dunbar (Kevin Costner) and take on his emotions and therefore come to the same
realizations that he does. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We see that they are easily frightened at times like when Kicking Bird runs from the naked John who
is also just as shocked by the Indians presence however does not want his horse, Sisco, to be messed
with. We see through John s eyes how frustrating it is to not be able to communicate with other people
and we understand how much trouble this has probably been for the Indians before. We see them as
being generous people when John is presented with a Buffalo skin from them as well as their kindness
in accepting his gifts. We also see how in John s eyes the Indians are developing personalities of their
own as individuals and not just a group of people.
The second thing that must be done in order for the movie to completely change our opinion of these
savages and bring our allegiances to them instead of the white settlers and army is that we must not
only overcome our fears and prejudices we must also now connect with them in such a way that we
feel bonded by friendship and love. The best way to accomplish this is through a feeling of belonging.
As John becomes more and more involved with the Indians we see more and more of the personalities
of the Indians themselves and we begin to see how human they really are. Now John begins to form
friendships with these Indians and therefore so do we. One example of this is John s friendship with
Kicking Bird. John and

I did some digging as well and came up with some existing literature on the subject of employee
sabotage. Although sabotage can inflict serious damage, Cole and Ring (2005) believe it can be easily
prevented if one is cognizant of the warning signs. Employee termination is one of the main causes for
retaliation against the corporation. In many of the cases, the retaliation is against one particular
individual the main motive being revenge. Key findings from a 2005 survey found that the majority of
sabotage attacks were accomplished through use of the company computer equipment (Cole Ring,
2005). In particular, the attacks were accomplished by working remotely, during outside working
hours through backdoor hacks and compromised accounts.

Hoover would in current history be a black eye to the department because of his aggressiveness with

power of the FBI to intimidate and even blackmail other to do what he wanted him to do (Coben,

Brute Force Research Paper
Weak passwords are responsible for 76% of data breaches (Keeper Security Whitepaper). Cyber
criminals have become much more sophisticated in the past few years at breaking passwords. Two
major types of cracking methods are used: brute force and dictionary attacks. Brute force is a trial and
error method used by application programs to decode data such as passwords or Data Encryption
Standards keys, through exhaustive effort , thus the term brute force. It is similar to a thief trying
multiple combinations to crack a safe. Dictionary attacks use large dictionaries, sometimes containing
millions of words, to defeat passwords. This technique has been enhanced by the number of accounts
that have been compromised in the past few years.

Role Of The 21st Century Public School Superintendent
In corporate America, the expectation for a CEO is to increase profits and to project a positive public
image for the corporation. The role of the 21st century public school Superintendent often mirrors that
of a corporate CEO. The superintendent is responsible for a multi million dollar budget, the
management of a large employee pool, and the expectations for high stakes profits are in the form of
standardized assessment scores. Just as the CEO is expected to produce an increase in profits, the
school Superintendent is accountable for, and is expected to produce, a yearly increase in test scores.
Whittle (2005) contrasts the stability of CEOs in major corporations with the stability of
superintendents in large urban school districts. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kentucky is worth examining as it has a vast rural area and as it was the first state to implement one of
the most large scale educational reforms in the country.
Purpose of Literature Review
The purpose of this Literature Review is to examine the literature related to the question: Does a
relationship exist between school superintendent tenure and student academic success? Through this
research, the researcher discovered that there is very little research on the topic. Moreover, the
research that does exist is focused on large, urban districts. Thus, there is a gap in the literature as it
relates to rural schools, such as many of those found in the state of Kentucky.
Development of the Superintendent as Instructional Leader
The role of the Superintendent has changed dramatically over the years. The office of superintendent
as it is known today is much more recent in the history of education in America. Historically, the need
for a school district superintendent rose with the growth and the changes in public schools in America.
The first position known as school district superintendent was created in the late 1830s. By most
accounts, the very first district superintendents were appointed in Buffalo, New York and Louisville,
Kentucky (Grieder, Pierce, Jordan, 1969).
By 1850, 13 city school districts had created this position (Kowalski, 2006).
This new position was necessary to accommodate the changing look of schools (Kowalski, 2006). The

2D animation vs Flash Animation
The progression of time brings newer innovation, technology, and modern technique that makes living
a lot easier. Since the 1930s , animation has progressed from standard pencil and paper. Now, we have
technological innovations such as Flash animation. Such innovations make the production of
animation simpler and more affordable for that of the common man. Although all other methods of
animation give an animator/individual results for less the time and money that it would take

As soon as an animator completes their work, the animator submits their work to the test camera
department to see how well it is in motion. Did you also know that an in between that hardly flows in
the process of the test camera? When this incorrection is prominent, the entire frame is thrown away
and revise the entire frame. Unlike the methods of 2D animation, flash animation is less stunning.
Flash Animation is the predecessor of 2D
Animation; Flash Animation is quicker and inexpensive. Besides flash animation being quicker,
updated, and cheaper, the production of flash animation is often sloppy and inaccurate to what is being
shown on the screen. For example,
Teen Titans Go! , is a TV Program made from Flash Animation. Teen Titans Go! is a terrible show.
Besides its lack of continuity to the original show, Teen Titans,
The animation plays a key role why this show is terrible. The movement is robotic and cheap; the
character design for each character is bland. After receiving criticism based solely on the animation
practices of the show, the animators make a jab about their choppy animation. What is depicted in the
scene of the jab is the dislocation of body parts that float toward the other side of the screen, away
from that character s body.
Adding on, 2D animation is better than Flash Animation for its usage of materials. Materials play a
key role in art. Material can range mediums such as paint, pen, Technology, etc. 2D

Boston Tea Party Essay
Boston Tea Party Historical Society As a little girl, I believed that The Boston Tea Party was just that,
a tea party. But it was not just any tea party that I had envisioned; it was the most decedent tea party to
ever grace the earth. It had everything, from hand painted china to crisp white table clothes. There
were over a hundred varieties of tea, each one having been imported from a different location. China,
France, Italy, England, you name it. The women that attended this tea party were well above average;
they were wealthy, upper class ladies who were perfectly poised. Each one arrived to the tea in a
carriage fit for a princess and pulled by a beautifully well kept horse. All the women wore brand new
ball gowns and white satin gloved. The whole event was a complete fairy tale that would never be
forgotten. After growing up a little more and actually learning about The Boston Tea Party in school,
my perspective had completely changed. I no longer viewed it as a fancy party, but instead, as an
event that greatly impacted American history. Back in the year 1773, the East India Company was
experiencing some major financial issues and because they played such a large role in Britain s
economy, England immediately wanted to help resolve the issue. In hopes of fixing the East India
Companies financial problems, The English Parliament decided to pass The Tea Act in the colonies.
Instead of having to ship tea from the company, to England, and then to the colonies, as done

Stigma Of Psychological Disorders
Each one of these disorders has a stigma that follows it. The only way to combat that stigma is to
educate society on psychological disorders. These disorders get over looked by some people and are
thought of as less serious than physical disorders, and sometimes people think they are made up.
Depression and schizophrenia are just as serious and life threatening as diabetes or liver disease. The
symptoms of mental disorders just go unseen, so others think they don t exist. Prejudice and
discrimination comes from these stigmas (King, p. 470, 2013), and that can negatively affect these
people more than imaginable. Their disorders may also go untreated because people believe their
disorders are made up. Stigma can significantly affect feelings

approximately $1215 million, they are creating an oligopoly within the telecommunications industry.
The cost of infrastructure and increasing profits of Telstra, Optus and Vodafone, wholesales are
looking to negotiate deals to attract businesses and consumers who are going directly to the supplier

Persuasive Essay On Latching
Introduction
Breastfeeding can be challenging, especially during the first few weeks after childbirth. It is normal to
have some problems when you start to breastfeed your new baby, even if you have breastfed before.
This document provides some solutions to the most common breastfeeding challenges.
Many common challenges are caused by poor latching. Latching refers to when your baby s mouth
attaches to your nipple to breastfeed.
How do I make sure that my baby is latched and positioned properly?
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down, with your neck and back well supported.
Place a pillow or rolled up blanket under your baby to bring him or her to the level of your breast (if
you are seated).
Make sure that your baby s abdomen is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Cracked or sore nipples
Cracked or sore nipples are often caused by inadequate latching. Soreness can also happen if your
baby is not positioned properly at your breast.
What is the solution?
Make sure your baby is latched and positioned correctly.
To help your breasts stay moisturized and healthy:
Avoid using soap on your nipples.
Wear a supportive bra. Avoid wearing underwire style bras or tight bras.
After each feeding, air dry your nipples for 3 4 minutes.
Use only cotton bra pads to absorb breast milk leakage. Be sure to change the pads if they become
soaked with milk.
Use lanolin, olive oil, or coconut oil on your nipples after nursing. If you use pure lanolin, you do not
need to wash it off before feeding your baby again. Pure lanolin is not poisonous (toxic) to your baby.
Use your hand to squeeze out (express) a few drops of breast milk, gently massage the milk into your
nipples, and let your nipple air dry.
When should I contact my health care provider?
If you have nipple pain, cracking, or soreness that lasts longer than 1 week, contact your health care
provider or lactation consultant. Nipple cracking and soreness are common during the first week after
birth, but nipple pain is never normal.
Breast engorgement
Breast engorgement is the overfilling of your breasts with breast milk. This can make your breasts
throb and feel hard, tightly stretched,

4. Made To The Proper Promisee The tender has to be made to the proper promisee. Tender made to an
authorised agent would be valid but tender made to a stranger would obviously be invalid. 5.
Reasonable Opportunity It should be provided to the promisee to inspect the quality and quantity of
the type of goods agreed upon and to satisfy himself that they are according to the terms of the
contract.
Two more essentials can also be considered :
6. Person Giving Tender Must be Willing to Perform The person giving the tender must be willing and
capable to perform the whole of what he was bound by the contract to do. 7. Tender Of Money Tender
of money should always be made in the legal tender money and not in any other form
If these essentials are fulfilled then one can safely conclude that a tender of performance has been
made.
Once the promisor makes a valid tender of performance, it is then for the promisee to accept the
performance. If the tender of performance is rejected by the other party, the promisor is not
responsible for non performance and is entitled to sue the promise for breach of the contract.
Relevance In Indian Contract Law
The Indian Contract Act, 1872, recognises tender of performance and its important role in Contract
Law. Section 38 mentions situations when tender of performance is not accepted by the promisee. It
states

Industrialization in India
Need for Trend of Industrialization in India
What is Industry?
In its broadest sense, industry is any work that is undertaken for economic gain and that promotes
employment. The word may be applied to a wide range of activities, from farming to manufacturing
and tourism. It encompasses production at any scale, from the local sometimes known as cottage
industry to the multinational or transnational.
In a more restricted sense, industry refers to the production of goods, especially when that production
is accomplished with machines. It is this limited definition of industry that is embodied by the notion
of industrialization: the transition to an economy based on the large scale, machine assisted production
of goods by a concentrated, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ironically, de industrialization in the three countries mentioned above has been accompanied by a
growth in the high tech industries in areas such as the Côte d Azur in France; Silicon Valley in
California; and along the M4 motorway, around Cambridge, and in central Scotland the so called
Silicon Glen in the UK. The long term impact of de industrialization has yet to be felt. It may be the
speed of the process, rather than the process itself, that needs careful management.
Transnational Corporations
Probably the most significant industrial development since the 1960s has been the rise of the
multinational or transnational company. Examples of these companies, which operate in many
countries, are Ford, General Motors, IBM, Siemens, and Matsushita Electrical. United Nations (UN)
estimates that investment by transnational companies has risen by 13 per cent per year over the last 20
years, largely because more and more governments are accepting these firms into their countries.
Nevertheless, the growth of multinational corporations has raised a number of concerns. An enormous
amount of production power is concentrated in the hands of a few controllers, which means that the
countries involved become directly susceptible to economic changes in other parts of the world. The
transfer of assets from one country to another may be difficult for governments to manage or prevent,
and there are likely to be disparities in the treatment of different countries.

around the foundation of how our great nation had come to be and how its systems and political
affiliations were a major influence for the country.
To summarize, in Ellis first chapter called The Duel, illustrates the feud between Alexander Hamilton
and Aaron Burr. The famous duel which was illegal at the time, had taken place on July 11.1804 in
Weehawken, New Jersey. To add, the two men did not like each other because of the fact that Burr
was a prideful and ignorant man who went against his Democratic Republican party. To explain, the
reason for the Burr not liking Hamilton was that he had told other members in the House that
Jefferson was the better candidate for President. Burr, who could not get over the fact that Hamilton
did such a thing, called Hamilton out. Hamilton could not turn down the duel because he did not want
to be perceived differently. Ellis mentioned the duel was under the system of code duello where ten
paces were taken and then shots were fired. It was known that these two were polar opposites in their
ideals and characteristics. Furthermore, Hamilton was the leader of the Federalist party and served
under Washington as his Secretary of Treasury. On the other hand, Burr at the time of the duel was the

Analysis Of The Maze Runner
The novel, The Maze Runner, is about a 16 year old boy, named Thomas, who wakes up in a metal
box that seems to be moving. As the darkness in the box starts fading, Thomas realizes that he must be
in an elevator. He hears harsh sounds of chains and pulleys, which terrifies him on his way up. When
Thomas reaches the top, 2 guys named, Alby and Gally pull him out of the elevator and greet him.
This is where Thomas realizes that all of his memory was gone. Alby had told him that his name will
come back to him within three days, meanwhile, he was called Greenie. This nickname Greenie was
given to everyone who came up the elevator that did not remember their names. After, welcoming
Thomas, Alby handed him over to this young boy named Chuck. Chuck was responsible to take
Thomas for a walk and introduce him to the Glade. The Glade is an open area of land, which is located
in the center of the maze. This is where the Gladers are forced to live and hang out. Outside of the
Glade is the maze, which is full of huge walls and vines and is the only hope of escape for the Gladers.
During the day, the doors to the maze open up, which allow the runners to go out and find an exit.
However, during the night, the doors close and the Grievers come out, which are huge slugs, that
harass and kill anyone that is trapped in the maze. The next day, Thomas is told to go to the forest to
grab some fertilizer. He sees a guy, named Ben, aggressively staring right at him. Thomas asks Ben if
he is okay, but Ben s response was, it is all your fault, and then attacks him. Thomas quickly runs back
to the Glade, getting away from Ben. As Ben tackles Thomas, Newt strikes Ben in the head with a rod
and punishes Ben by throwing him in the maze for breaking one of the three rules. The rule that Ben
broke was harming another glader. The other two rules that the Glade follows are, doing your part and
never setting foot out in the maze. Alby decides to go and explore the maze with the captain of the
runners, Minho. It is now late at night and all the Gladers are frightened, the doors to the maze are
about to close, but Alby and Minho have not returned. The walls are now starting to close, Alby and
Minho are still no where to be seen. The Gladers

How Religion Changes The Societal Behavior Of The...
Observing the daily lifestyles of the individuals from different time periods show a great deal of how
the religion changes the societal behavior of the followers of each religion. The religion s form of
worshipping a God is a reputable indicator of the era s culture. While looking into The Iliad, we find
that the culture of that time highlights warfare and worshipping multiple Gods. This polytheistic
culture differs greatly from the culture of The Torah, which was the first established religion that
believed in teaching a monotheistic education, believing in one God. Furthermore, one can see in The
New Testament that they also worship one God in addition to following the teachings of Jesus. This
creates a difference in cultures as this changes the way people worship their God/Gods. The transition
into the first millennium brought many changes as new religions appeared and there became a
diversity in beliefs. Through looking at The Homeric Era, The Hellenic Era, and The Roman Era, the
differences within these time periods are shown through the transformation of each religion s form of
worship as a ritual.
In the Homeric Era, society is polytheistic and has a unique set of rituals. In order to worship the Gods
they believe in, they carry out sacrifices and pray to different Gods for different needs. The Gods will
intermittently accept these sacrifices and provide something to the people in return. It is perceived as
an appeal to the Gods as the people believed that when

  • 2. Literature Review On Quality Of Life Perhaps the most astounding findings across this literature review were how music improved the quality of life for almost all patients studied. Sole, Mercadal Brotons, Galati, and De Castro (2014) specifically focused their study on using music therapy to improve quality of life. During twelve weekly music therapy sessions, sixteen participants with differing levels of dementia were followed. The patient s diagnoses included Alzheimer s Disease, Vascular dementia, Parkinson s disease, and cognitive deterioration with possible dementia. The Global Deterioration Scale (GDS) was used to score the participants, and nine were found to have mild dementia, five moderate, and two with severe levels of dementia. All participants had lived in a nursing home for an average of three years. Most participants had little to no hearing impairment, had a primary level of education, and a high quality of emotional support. Sole et al. also scored each participant using the Ceneralitat de Catalunya (GENCAT) Quality of Life scale. This quality of life scale focused on eight areas that are significant in determining quality of life. Emotional well being (security, contentment), interpersonal relationships, material well being (having money, a home, or a job), personal development (self fulfillment, and acquiring new skills), physical well being, self determination (autonomy), social inclusion (feeling like a contributing member of society, and feeling supported by others), and rights (equal ... • 3. Compare The Validation And Verification Methods For The... There are various methods you can use to validate the reliability of the information. The information will only be reliable if the information is being received from a dependable source. The accuracy of the information and the relevance of it should also be up for consideration. There can be many ways of errors occurring in the information from human error when inputting it to the source material being incorrect or inaccurate. The two main techniques used to test the reliability of the information are the validation and verification methods. The verification method involves checking that the data entered will match up with the original source. The two main ways of doing this is either to use proofreading techniques or to use the double entry ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The validation methods comprise of making sure that the data entered makes sense and is reasonable. There are various forms of validation from checking the format to the range etc. There are five key checks that are used when validating the information: format check, length check, presence check, range check and spell check. The format check would be checking if the data is in a correct format, for example a pin number should have four numbers and therefore it should not contain any letters etc. The check would bring this to the attention of the user if the wrong format was being used. Length check is the check used in order to see if the data is either too long or too short. For example if the pin number is four numbers long then the length check will examine the data to make sure that it is the correct length and in that case it would be four characters long. The presence check is to examine whether data has been inputted into a field as some fields may require data entry. In a lot of databases it is required for data to be entered into certain fields and if not then this may cause problems to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Workplace Romance SEXUALITY IN THE WORKPLACE Licresha Pierce Strayer University Professor Honore Workplace romance exists when two members of the same organization develop a relationship with mutual attraction. Individuals who develop workplace romances may cause damages to morale and productivity. However companies are still confused whether or not they should interfere in the romantic relationship. Many companies are trying to figure out what department should get involved and what policies should be set and should there be set guidelines? There are pros and cons to developing a relationship with a co worker. Some advantages would be to motivate employees, improve teamwork, communications and cooperation. Some disadvantages would be work ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... CRA is a vague area and it can be one person s word against the other when it goes sour. Ethical principles are based on the individual or group and what they think is right or wrong. What may seem right to some maybe wrong to others. So companies need to keep in mind the different beliefs. There is also a right to privacy, so by implementing a CRA it should be clear. Nonfraternization policies Having clear policies that govern behaviors and relationships acceptable in the workplace is the first step employers should take to control dangerous workplace romances (Lieber 2008). There are different types of nonfraternization policies. Some employees ban on any dating in the workplace. They are not legally enforced because they are considered overbroad. Another policy prohibits supervisors from dating and employee because of the power between the two may cause the employee to feel pressured to start or stay in the relationship and finally the most common and most recommended policy prohibits supervisors from dating subordinates who are in the supervisor s direct chain of command. Ethical behavior should be considered when allowing workplace romance. I think from an employer s perspective they have to consider certain things such as respecting a person s moral principles such as honesty, fairness, equality, respecting the dignity, diversity and the rights of other people. Being ethical means doing the right thing in any situation. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Importance Of Flashbulb Memories How can a human forget to turn the lights off when they leave the house, but remember exactly where they were when JFK was assassinated? The answer to this phenomenon has long been researched and the answer is a term referred to as flashbulb memories, which can be defined as a detailed and vivid memory that is stored on one occasion and retained for a lifetime (Schachter, Gilbert, Wegner, Nock, 2015). These memories can be composed of insignificant but vivid details about the situation in which the news was received (Demiray Freund, 2015). Flash bulb memories are believed to encompass various memories including positive and negative events that have affected entire nations or just one individual, and have correlation with age, proximity, and importance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunately, just as not all memories are positive not all flashbulb memories are positive. A negative flash bulb memory may be an American remembering exactly where they were when JFK was assassinated, while a positive memory for the same individual may be remembering exactly where they were when they learned of Osama Bin Laden s assassination. The idea that one type of flashbulb memory is more likely to be created than the other has long been debated. A recent study by Demirav and Freund shows that neither of these memories appears to be more prevalent than the other. There participants of various ages and ethnicities were asked two recall the death of both Michael Jackson (negative flashbulb memory) and Osama Bin Laden (positive flashbulb memory), while both memories had different effects emotionally on the participants the recollection of a flash bulb memory was the same (Demirav and ... An extension of this approach is in network aggregation which aggregates data progressively as it is passed through a network. In network data aggregation can reduce the data packet size, the number of data transmissions and the number of nodes involved in gathering data from a WSN. Therefore, in the field of WSNs, privacy preserving data aggregation is becoming a hot issue in WSNs. To address this issue, some protocols have been proposed. In this, they provide a comprehensive summary and comparison of the existing privacy preserving data aggregation protocols for WSNs. WSN is related to privacy preserving data aggregation protocols (Ping et al 2012). In the authors reviewed privacy preserving techniques for protecting two types of private information: data oriented and context oriented privacy. First, authors focuses only on data privacy in order to provide detailed overviews of the existing privacy preserving data aggregation protocols for WSNs (Ping et al 2012). Two main security challenges in secure data aggregation are confidentiality and integrity of data (Sugandhi et al 2013). While traditionally encryption is used to provide end to end confidentiality in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), the aggregators in a secure data aggregation scenario need to decrypt the encrypted data to perform aggregation. Thus, while data aggregation improves energy efficiency of a network, it complicates the existing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Determinism In Jack London s To Build A Fire An Analytic Jack London s story named To Build a Fire has many themes attached to it. Through this story, the author attempts to convey messages regarding man s mental makeup and process. The overall theme is one of a battle between naturalism and determinism and various themes linking the two. Determinism argues that man does not have free will but rather their circumstances are shaped by their environmental or biological makeup (which is out of their control). In the story, the concept of determinism is what provides context to the fact that life is amoral; the man defines any negative outcomes as a lack of luck or an accident which gives credence to the fact that the story starts out as deterministic in nature. The concept of determinism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The man, although highly adept at the management of tools and processes to start a fire, was clearly devoid of instinct when the need for the anticipation of a hazard arose (which is a key component of survival). The man also did not have the ability to translate the effects of the cold, to the hazard it posed to him; routinely shrugging off the cold and disregarding the advice given by the man from Sulphur Creek. On the other hand, the story portrayed the dog as having great instinct in that even though it does not have the intellectual ability to understand the cold; it instinctively bites the ice forming between its toes. It is possible to glean from the story that the man is actually fighting against nature to survive, but the environment does not have any link to the struggles of the man. It is not nature s determination to hurt the man; rather that nature is indifferent to its inhabitants. The relentless force of nature causes the man in the story to change his goal after a couple of accidents . Double crossing is the demonstration of breaking or abusing one s trust or a possible contract, for example, a guarantee, here in Julius Caesar it is more about breaking trust. The way of double crossing in Julius Caesar originates from Cassius control of Brutus into believing that slaughtering Caesar is the best thing for the country; while as a general rule, Cassius simply needs to seize power for himself. How can this contribute How does Brutus double cross Caesar? In act I Brutus was controlled by Cassius and was persuaded that killing Caesar was the most ideal thing for the general population of Rome. Later, in act II as Caesar is being killed by the backstabbers, who are individuals Caesar expected could have accomplished something like this, Brutus enters and wounds Caesar. Caesar investigated Brutus eyes as he was being wounded. Caeser was stunned and thought about how Brutus, surprisingly, could have taken an interest in his homicide. His father gets upset with him, and cuts off his funding when he doesn t do well in classes. He then tells Daniel that it s his mother s turn to take care of him. To me, it seems like neither of his parents really want anything to do with him. I would think that this would cause Daniel more distress than he shows. I think that if someone with a disability watched The Other Sister they would think that it sends a good message. Carla and Daniel aren t perfect or angels like some people think that people with disabilities are. They are just like neurotypical people in that they have unique strengths and weaknesses. They really are just their own individual people. The Other Sister serves as a good reminder that people with disabilities aren t really all that much different from neurotypical people. I sometimes find myself falling into the trap of thinking that people with disabilities are innocent or are always in need of help. Comparing Brahms And Pachelbel s Poem Time Line Time Line I detect the scent of round two blowing on the wind that gently courses its way over the hilly horizon as the sun sets on the final page of a new chapter ... can you see it? Can you feel it? It s warm and moist and is the color of old, stained and tattered sepia photographs of another time a time lost and forgotten somewhere in between addiction and sobriety; a time after the birth of our children but before the death of our parents; a time when love made sense and all the horror in the world couldn t knock us off the back of the unicorn we once believed into existence with enough conviction to make it as real as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Jesus and peace. Oh my! Where has the time gone, and who are the keepers of time? Have they absconded with it, along with our dreams, our realities, our nightmares? Will they return with it, or shall we just sit here awaiting the end like two fishermen waiting for a nibble in a dried up lake? The question remains unanswered just like many others, but wait we must, because we are still at the end of a long line and our number isn t up yet, and this is one line where line jumpers are more than welcome. Jonelle Samai Evelyn Cartright Eng 210 John Steinbeck John Steinbeck was an American Nobel Prize winner whose work was viewed by many as controversial. Growing up in Salinas Valley California, Steinbeck enjoyed a comfortable life but opted to work with migrants on a farm. Here, his interest in the socio economic aspects of life sparked, which later influenced his literary perspective. As an outspoken democrat and advocate of blue collared America, his critics often argue that his works are biased and reflect inaccurate depictions of white collar America. This paper will examine three of Steinbeck s works and two criticisms of them to determine the extent of which his political and socio economic experiences have influenced his writing. ... Steinbeck, with inspiration from marine biologist Ed Ricketts, dug himself out of the great depression rut and wrote his first recognizable piece, the Log from The Sea of Cortez. In 1962, Steinbeck won the Nobel Prize for literature for his realistic and imaginative writing, combining as it does sympathetic humor and keen social perception. The selection was heavily criticized for Steinbeck s political stance with some even calling it a win by default. At the end of his career, the famed author returned to New York and died of heart disease in 1968. His work, however, lives on and even his memory in the California hall of fame. The first piece that I will be analyzing is the critically acclaimed, In Dubious Battle. In the story, we meet a young man named Jim Nolan whose family and dignity was ruined by the economic and social system. with the scars of brutality and starvation deeply embedded in his heart, Jim becomes a member of the Communist Party. As the story develops, Jim makes new friends who lack objectivity and encourage him to put party before his own needs, morals and even aspirations. Essay about Dances With Wolves Dances With Wolves In his movie Dances With Wolves actor Kevin Costner tries to do away with any preconceived notions that the viewer might have had about the Native American Indians being a savage and inhuman race. He does this by first unraveling the mysteriousness of the Indians then he brings the viewer to a point of connectedness with the Indians and their culture. We then come to a sincere appreciation for them as human beings and individuals and find ourselves siding with them in matters of allegiance. We see them as being generous people when John is presented with a Buffalo skin from them as well as their kindness in accepting his gifts. We also see how in John s eyes the Indians are developing personalities of their own as individuals and not just a group of people. The second thing that must be done in order for the movie to completely change our opinion of these savages and bring our allegiances to them instead of the white settlers and army is that we must not only overcome our fears and prejudices we must also now connect with them in such a way that we feel bonded by friendship and love. The best way to accomplish this is through a feeling of belonging. Through this research, the researcher discovered that there is very little research on the topic. Moreover, the research that does exist is focused on large, urban districts. The office of superintendent as it is known today is much more recent in the history of education in America. Historically, the need for a school district superintendent rose with the growth and the changes in public schools in America. The long term impact of de industrialization has yet to be felt. It may be the speed of the process, rather than the process itself, that needs careful management. Transnational Corporations Probably the most significant industrial development since the 1960s has been the rise of the multinational or transnational company. Examples of these companies, which operate in many countries, are Ford, General Motors, IBM, Siemens, and Matsushita Electrical. United Nations (UN) estimates that investment by transnational companies has risen by 13 per cent per year over the last 20 years, largely because more and more governments are accepting these firms into their countries. Nevertheless, the growth of multinational corporations has raised a number of concerns. An enormous amount of production power is concentrated in the hands of a few controllers, which means that the countries involved become directly susceptible to economic changes in other parts of the world.
