Virtuoso Monologue
The Virtuoso is on the move! yelled the captain. The squad began to mobilize...
The air stung the Virtuoso s skin, but the night was perfect for his opening act. He began his
preparation with an artist s delight and touch. Placing bombs designed as flowers and preparing his
paint brush . The cool touch of steel left his hand as he pocketed the pistol and began to move. Tonight
will be a night of beauty and splendor he quietly mused to himself as he prepared to move. He sat
waiting in anticipation for the puppets to dance. Someone stepped on a bomb and the play had begun.
Screams were heard as music and splendor as the trap detonated. The Virtuoso raised the curtain on
his deadly show and was quickly on the move.

Theoretical Aspects Of Coaching
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the application of theoretical aspects of coaching. Coaching
can be defined as a process whereby an individual influences a group to achieve a common goal
(Loughead and Hardy, 2005). Excellence in coaching should be judged on the use of knowledge, the
demonstration of the coach s behaviour during participation or performance coaching and the
interaction with the athletes during the session (Côté et al, 2007). All sessions should be appropriate
and have an element of fun (Côté et al, 2007). Coaching is a form of teaching as it involves
communicating, learning, and maintaining positive relationship with those being taught (Jones et al,
2004). Using the pedagogical theory while sport coaching helps coaches ... Show more content on

Public restrooms are a vital area for people to gather oneself and having restrooms that are well
groomed can speak volumes about any program. Because it was Thanksgiving holiday didn t stop
custodians from doing the routine cleaning in the gyms and restrooms. Custodians employed by
Arlington Independent School Distract hours are from 4pm 12am( Arlington ISD Custodian). What I
realized each morning when I walked into the high school, all gyms, hallways, and restrooms were
cleaned. With further research, I discovered how thorough custodians have to be. Arlington ISD
custodians have the responsibilities of cleaning the restroom, gathering and emptying trash, clean gym
floors by sweeping, mopping, clean windows and much more (Arlington ISD Custodian). My

Gentrification And Its Oppressed Residents Essay
The U.S. Gentrification and its Oppressed Residents For the past two decades, gentrification has
become a widely known phenomenon in the U.S. as more wealthy cohorts of population move to quiet
and cheap suburban areas instead of bearing the busy and costly lives in a big city. Changes brought
by the influx of affluent newcomers in the suburban areas are often praised for fostering urban renewal
as well as animating the areas local economy. However, the impacts of gentrification cause several
types of new problems which now afflict long time, low income residents in gentrifying
neighborhoods. With the soaring prices of the real estate market, landlords harassment against low
income tenants, and rising living expenses, gentrification further augments the inequality and conflicts
between the poor and rich inhabitants.
Historically, many of the suburban towns and neighborhoods around the major U.S. cities served as
homes to poor and minority residents, offering cheaper living spaces due to the marginalized and
inconvenient geographical locations with several negative reputations. Yet, given the big cities
overcrowded environment and expensive living cost, these suburban areas are now popular
destinations for people who seek for a less crowded and affordable neighborhood to dwell. According
to statistics by Kolko (2016), in 2015, the population of overall U.S. suburban neighborhoods
increased by 159 million people, while only the total of less than 80 million

Incident Response And Forensics Investigation Essay
Introduction
Incident response and forensics investigations are closely related aspects of managing the activities
that occurs after an information technology (IT) incident occurs. In this paper, we will explore the
various aspects of incident response and forensics as they apply to an IT incident and by examining
the details in the enclosed case study, we will show how those aspects apply to that situation. To begin
with, we will discuss the differences between incident response and forensic activities. Next, we will
cover some of the challenges involved with first responder handling of evidence as it applies to
incident response and computer forensics. We will also be covering some of the steps required for a
comprehensive forensics and incident response plan. Additionally, we will outline the steps required
for effective integration of forensics and incident response procedures in externally contracted forensic
situations. Lastly, we will present a brief evaluation of the incident response resources available to
manage incident response and forensics activities. The Differences Between Incident Response and
Forensics
Understanding the differences between incident response and forensic activities is a key aspect of any
effective organizational IT management plan. Due to their similarities and their close relationship to
each other, these terms are sometimes used interchangeably but it is important to understand they each
have their own specific function. Both

Interpreter Of Maladies By Jumpha Lahiri
The Society is made up of different people with different color and personality, tribes, religion and
culture. That differences lead to the way we see each other and behaves towards each other as black or
white, man or woman and friend or enemy. In other words, the way we see each other leads to the way
we relate to each other. In Jumpha Lahiri s story in Interpreter of Maladies , the differences in age,
culture and personality leads to how Mrs. Das and Mr. Kapasi sees each other. Mrs. Das sees Mr.
Kapasi as a father, a dependable person and a lover while
In brief, Mr. Kapasi sees Mrs. Das as a young lover and an unfaithful wife. Mr. Kapasi is an Indian
tour guide, and a driver while Mrs. Das is a mother of three kids and a woman of Mr. Das. They are
the main characters of the story.
Illusionary, Mrs. Das sees Mr. Kapasi as a father because of his hair color and the way he appears.
Though Mrs. Das show no interest in Mr. Kapasi from the beginning, she confined in him later when
she realizes Mr. Kapasi s job as an interpreter in a Doctor s office. In age, Mr. Kapasi is older than

Examples Of Foil Characters In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo Mercutio Character Foil The play Romeo Juliet presents a few specific character foils. The
characters Romeo Mercutio develop a unique foil; Mercutio, the player, and Romeo, the lover. Both
characters have unique characteristics that set themselves apart, but all in all, bind them together.
Romeo is one of the main characters in the play. Romeo is romantic and has a passion to love and be
loved. He uses words to express his love. Firstly, for example, in Act 1 Scene 5, If I profane with my
unworthiest hand, this holy shrine, the gentle sin is this; my lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand.
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss. (W. Shakespeare 837) Romeo longs to be with Juliet,
and in a way, invites her to his love. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is a player and has a different outlook on love. Primarily, in Act 1 Scene 4, Mercutio says If love
be rough with you, be rough with love; Prick love for pricking, and you beat love down. (W.
Shakespeare 829) He suggests that Romeo disregard love, and in addition, to have sex to get over it.
Also, one possible reason that Mercutio despises love is that he s possibly heartbroken. Secondly, in
Act 1 Scene 4, he describes Queen Mab as one who gives people what they want, in her dreams. For
example, On courtiers knees, that dream on curtsies straight; O er lawyers fingers, who straight dream
on fees; O er ladies lips, who straight on kisses dream. (W. Shakespeare 830) These dreams are
insignificant, and as a result, Mercutio tells Romeo about Queen Mab; his dreams about Juliet are
insignificant. Finally, Mercutio is apparently jealous of Romeo. Throughout Romeo and Juliet, his
lines label him as a pessimistic non lover. In Act 2 Scene 4, Mercutio says Alas, poor Romeo! He is
already dead, stabbed with a white wench s black eye, shot through the ear with a love song, the very
pin of his heart cleft with the blind bow boy s butt shaft. And is he a man to encounter Tybalt? (W.
Shakespeare 858) He says that of all Romeo has been through, he can t even go up to Tybalt. So,
Mercutio is possibly jealous of Romeo because he can t

The Norse god Loki is well known for his trickery and...
The Norse god Loki is well known for his trickery and deceit in modern culture. He had a quick wit, a
twisted sense of humor, and an appetite from devilry. In actuality he wasn t born a god at all. Loki was
the son of the giant Farbauti and giantess Laufey ( Loki: the Father of Lies and Deceit ). He snuck his
way into becoming a god and was considered one of the Aesir. Even so he was a sort of anti hero to
the gods because of his mischievous ways (Allen, Saunders, LOKI ).
Loki had multiple partners. His first was the giantess Angrboda who bore him three monstrous
children. ( Loki ) Jormungand was a serpent so large that he circled the earth. Fenrir was a giant wolf,
and Hel with her fitting name became the goddess of the underworld. ... Show more content on

The giant was smart though and brought his trusty steed, Svadilfari, to help him hull the boulders to
the construction site (Allen, Saunders, LOKI ). Freya became anxious and Odin even threatened to put
Loki to death if they were caught in the unpleasant deal. In an attempt to save his hide Loki took the
form of a pretty mare and lured Svadilfari away from his work. Loki kept the horse away until the
time had passed for the work to be finished (Lindeman). In his mare form Loki became pregnant and
gave birth to an eight legged foal which was named Sleipnir. Loki presented him as a gift to Odin and
regained good favor with the kind of the gods and his son, Thor (Allen, Saunders, LOKI ).
As time went on the trickster god became less playful and more evil in his ways. The humor that he
was full of before became a sadistic need to create chaos in Asgard. One such incident involved Thor s
wife, Sif. She was the goddess of harvest, known for her beautiful golden hair. One night Loki thought
it would be funny to sneak into Sif s room while she slept and lop off her gorgeous hair. When Thor
found out what he had done the god of thunder became irate. He hunted Loki down and threatened to
destroy him for his offense. The trickster pleaded with Thor and promised to replace Sif s hair with
real gold, as well and bring other trinkets for the Aesir. He was released and set out on his journey to

Native American Children And The Educational Assault On...
Any people fighting for rights encounter similar threats, but indigenous peoples face many threats that
are unique to them. Struggling with governments is, of course, common across many forms of protest,
but indigenous populations have sui generis interactions with governments, ones that are often more
complicated by differences of culture. Many threats that indigenous people in particular encounter fall
under the header of ethnocidal interactions with foreign parties in which missionaries, governments,
and corporations come into indigenous held areas and destroy their cultures, often deliberately. These
outsiders will often believe that they are helping savage indigenous people by civilizing them.
Common ethnocidal practices include education, land taking, and religious control.
Colin G. Calloway called the enforced European style education of Native American children the
educational assault on Indian children (383). Native American children were taken from their homes
to be raised and educated in boarding schools in an effort to make them better members of European
American society. In 1880, the Board of Indian Commissioners wrote that as a savage we cannot
tolerate him [Native Americans] any more than as a half civilized parasite, wanderer, or vagabond.
The only alternative is to fit him by education for civilized life (as cited in Calloway 383). The board
did not hide their use of education as a way of destroying Native American culture and/or making it

Analysis Of Jack London s To Build A Fire
In Jack London s short story, To Build a Fire, there is an unnamed man who is trying to make it back
to his camp in the freezing weather of the Yukon. The man travels only with a sled dog and himself in
the 50 degree below zero weather. Throughout the short story, the man struggles to survive as he soon
realizes the temperature is actually severely dangerous at 75 degrees below zero. In the end, the man
ultimately dies before successfully reaching his camp due to not being able to build a fire on time to
stay warm. While laying on the cold ground finally accepting his death, the man thinks back to before

Throughout his entire journey back to his camp, the man would show ignorance when he didn t
understand how cold the weather really was. He would continually think to himself how it s just a
little bit of cold. It ll only cause some pain and discomfort. Nothing too dangerous or life threatening.
Due to his inexperience in this freezing weather, mixed in with his ignorance, the man s death was
certain. Once in a while the thought repeated itself that it was very cold and the he had never
experienced such cold. As he walked along he rubbed his face and nose with the back of his mittened
hand. He did this without thinking, frequently changing hands. But, with all his rubbing, the instant he
stopped, his face and nose became numb. His face would surely be frozen. He knew that and he was
sorry that he had not worn the sort of nose guard Bud wore when it was cold. Such a guard passed
across the nose and covered the entire face. But it did not matter much, he decided. What was a little
frost? A bit painful, that was all. It was never serious. (London 68) Comparing the man with his own
dog, the reader is able to see a massive difference between the the master and pet. The man isn t
worried in the slightest about the weather causing any sort of damage to his own health. On the other
hand, the dog s instincts are at full capacity alarming the dog that it is extremely dangerous to be in
this type of weather, and

The thing that I find most compelling about this culture is how they have manage to stand the test of
time with there harsh standards they have placed upon themselves do to their beliefs in these magical
rituals and ceremonies. The one type of ritual that I think is the most interesting to me is the fact hat
they believed in some of these magical rituals and ceremonies so much that they would actually
sometimes toucher themselves to complete these rituals that are supposed to heal or help you but in
the process bring unbelievable pain in some cases. Another thing that I found to actually be crude and
unsetting is the fact that if you were sick they would literally quarantine you and if you don t get better
you are just left to die. Especially young children the fact they they would have a place designated for
sick kids to basically go and die since younger kids have a lesser chance of surviving then adults do.
The temple that was used was literally the place they kids where supposed to go to die. There were
things that I found interesting and there are thing that I have strong feeling against because they go
against my morals. These groups of humans and the culture that they believe in is very harsh due to all
the different rituals and ceremonies that they have. The culture that they believe in also dictates

Emily Grierson Hierarchy
William Faulkner s short story A Rose for Emily depicts the need for a hierarchy by which to rank and
organize individuals by merit of their importance. Class, gender and race each play a vital role in
determining the interactions of Jefferson s residents. Notably, these issues affect how Emily Grierson,
Homer Barron, and Emily s Negro servant Tobe are treated by the townspeople, as well as their
behavior. Together race, gender and class portray and define the characters for who they are and act to
elucidate their positions in society. The hierarchy in Jefferson dictates that class supersedes gender,
which in turn, supersedes race.
At the center of Faulkner s story is Emily Grierson a proper, old fashioned monument to the past. ...

As Emily was considered an aristocrat of sorts in the town, her actions, inappropriate by any other
woman, continued without question. In Jefferson, class superseded the stereotypes against a gender,
and to an extent even law and logic.
With rumors of a romantic relationship between Homer and Emily, the townspeople s first reaction
was to reject the notion as folly. The women of the town speculate that a Grierson would not think
seriously of a Northerner, a day laborer while the town elders believed that Emily would be unable to
forget the noblesse oblige : the obligations of the higher class (Faulkner 311). In the eyes of the town,
it would be improper for a woman of such high class to intermingle with a man of lower class. This,
along with his affiliation with the Yankees, results in the town turning against Homer, despite his
seemingly agreeable personality. Homer and Emily s relationship created changes to the status quo. In
turn these changes resulted in the summoning of Emily s sister from Alabama; this decision, later
regretted by the town, was a last ditch effort to preserve the conventional order of class within
Jefferson. Despite the criticism Emily receives, she chooses to continue in her pursuit of Homer,
demonstrating her continued indifference to the opinions of those around her, a benefit available to her
because of her social class.
Despite the abolishment of slavery across the United States in 1865, racism plays a role in the

Comparing Books And Movies In Frances Hodgson Burnett s...
As stated by Stephen King, Books and movies are like apples and oranges. They both are fruit, but
taste completely different. People who read a book and enjoy it, will mostly likely watch its
counterpart, the movie. Unlike people who watch the movie first, will mostly likely skip the book and
stay with the impression of the movie. A movie does offer great visuals of what a book is describing,
yet it also has time restrictions and leaves many unimportant parts of the book out. Contrary to this, a
book offers the reader no time restriction, the story unfolds before the reader s eyes without leaving
anything unsaid, and most importantly, it opens countless doors for the reader s imagination and
interpretations. The book, The Secret ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

an unsightly and unloved girl who didn t know how love, to a girl full of energy surrounded by her
many friends.
Despite staying quiet close to the novel s plot, the movie had many changes that never happened in the
book, especially during the beginning. For instance, in the second chapter of the book, the author
makes it known that Mary hardly even knows her parents. Mary had liked to look at her mother from a
distance and she had thought her very pretty, but she knew very little of her she could scarcely have
been expected to love her or to miss her very much when she was gone (7). In the movie, Mary is
looking at both of her parents getting ready to receive their guest from an outside window. Mary is
then seen at her parent s room, and this scene marks another huge difference between the book and the
movie. While Mary s parents were both killed by the cholera outbreak along with many of their
servants, in the movie an earthquake is responsible for the deaths of both of her parents. The movie
shows a chaotic scene where everything starts to shake and and scared, little Mary takes refuge under
her parents bed.
In the book, Mary having nothing to do all day goes on and explores the accessible garden. As she

Persuasive Essay On Women
It s no secret that worldwide women have unreasonably high expectations set for them. Yet it seems as
though for a few days of every month, that bar is lowered and we as women are allowed to kick our
feet up, complain and do practically nothing but binge eat chocolate without judgement thanks to our
on and off again friend, Mother Nature. Yes, that s right we ve become so desperate to escape from the
standards set by us from society that our periods have become our only excuse to relax and not have
everything together. However, recent advertising from the feminine hygiene company Always Infinity
is swiftly taking away our much needed break by implying women shouldn t be taken less seriously
just because of their crimson waves. Quite frankly, this isn t the case and I m tired of seeing this
agenda being pushed.
That being said, the advertisement in question was published in an Us Magazine and features a woman
playing soccer. With a look of determination set on her face as a ball hurls towards her, she appears
robust and focused to prevent the ball from going into the goal. Despite her look of concentration, I
can tell you from my years of experience in soccer that the ball is most definitely going to graze her
fingertips and go straight into the goal. Written in bold white text on the right side of the page it says,

The Use of Language to create the setting in The Great Gatsby
How Does F Scott Fitzgerald use Language to create the setting and the atmosphere of this extract?
This extract, which describes Jay Gatsby s extravagant party is a microcosm of the type of seductive
and exciting lifestyle that was lived by those eager to fulfil the American dream in the 1920 s. It shows
how the original dream of happiness, individualism and prosperity has disintegrated into the mere
pursuit of wealth. Fitzgerald himself experienced this type of society and uses symbolism in this
extract to represent his conflicting feelings about the Jazz age and create a typical setting of this kind
of society. Referring to the novel as a whole, Giltrow David (from Studies in the Novel ) states that

amused by those willing to provide it, and in this case it is Gatsby who succumbs to their insatiable

they are on Nick s level, seeing what he sees. The reader s interpretation of the party is coloured by

We Need A Major Change On The Earth s Atmosphere
It is a known fact that we as a society are having a major affect on the earth s atmosphere. Since the
Industrial Revolution technologies have advanced and a lot of our means of energy give off harmful
pollution. Mass production has allowed the number of cars in production to grow exponentially, and
the increasing population is keeping them in demand. Pollution is at an all time high now and
continues to get worse with the growing populations. More and more people are driving vehicles and
able to afford their own transportation, which has really driven the amount of pollution in the
atmosphere up over the past century. Emissions from our vehicles make up about twenty percent of
the global warming pollution. This poses a real threat to our environment that needs to be changed. I
am not saying that is it bad to drive cars or that people should go on a strike from driving. All I am
saying is that we need a major change in our current thinking and process. We are battling the effects
and concerns of vehicle emissions everyday, and the change is not happening as fast as it should be
going. In order for change to take effect there is going to need to be support from everyone. One way
that the majority of us can help in this epidemic is by making more environmentally conscious
choices. Choosing a cleaner and more efficient fuel option for our vehicles can make loads of
difference if everyone joins in, and create plenty of positive externalities that everyone can enjoy. Air

Gun Control Portrayal Analysis
Gun control has been debated in American History for decades yet it still persists today. We need to
take a step back as a nation and examine the driving force behind gun control and gun violence in
America. This is becoming a serious problem, because every mass shooting takes more lives. The
government continues to sit at a standstill with regard to gun control. The Republicans have no desire
to restrict Americans second amendment right to bear arms. However, Democrats don t intend to take
away an American s right, they seek to limit and remove high caliber guns from the market.
Americans are on different sides when it comes to gun control, but there are those who try to push
their opinions in different forms. American culture is and always has been represented through
political cartoons. They can say a lot about the illustrator s viewpoints and how they are representative
of America through color and context. The political cartoon I chose was on gun control or the lack
thereof. The cartoon is of a man standing behind a counter of a store called GOP GUNS and GORE
and the sign says that this store is opened 24/7. The man behind the counter is handing another man a
gun with a black shirt that says kill. The salesman is saying, You re on the federal watchlist. But we
still want you to have this. The man is standing behind a sign that says, Terrorists, please form single
line. There are men that stand on said line. All around the store there are signs on the wall

Honorable In Julius Caesar
What makes someone honorable or corrupt? Webster defines honorable as deserving of respect or high
regard. Webster also defines corrupt as to change from good to bad in morals, manners, or action.
Honor is doing something for moral excellence. Being dishonorable or corrupt is flaunting one s own
abilities for completing a deed. Who comes to mind when you think honorable? Who comes to mind
when you think corrupt? Everyone has a different opinion for who is honorable and who is
dishonorable or corrupt. In the play, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, multiple people can qualify as
honorable or dishonorable; it just depends on the way you see a situation. As a result, I consider

Titinus responds respectfully, O Cassius, Brutus gave the word too early, Who, having some
advantage on Octavius, Took it too eagerly. His soldiers fell to spoil, Whilst we by Antony are all
enclosed (Shakespeare 5.3.5 8). Titinius is now correcting Cassius in a nice way saying that Brutus has
already sent the troops to surprise attack, but they left. This kind of explanation from Titinius shows us
he is respectful, and he is not showing off to Cassius. The next and final reason why I feel that Titinius
is the most honorable is the loyalty he has. Titinius shows loyalty in the most brave way. He is so loyal
to Cassius that when he finds himself at Cassius s body, he kills himself. Some would say he is
completely crazy, but others say this is loyal and the thing to do. In my opinion, Titinius is very loyal
to Cassius, and I would commend him for that. As a result, I find Cassius honorable for being
obedient, a fearless man, and a loyal soldier. Just as Titinius most honorable character in the play, from
my perspective, Octavius is the most dishonorable. Octavius is the son of Caesar. Octavius should
have set a better example from the beginning. Octavius is dishonorable because he is very destructive.
When Lepidus and Octavius first meet, Octavius already says to Lepidus that his brother must die, too.
He says blantly, Your brother must too die; consent you Lepidus? (Shakespeare 4.1.2). This tells us
that he is already

History And Function Of Foreign Affairs
The History and Function of Miniseries of Foreign Affairs
The practice of what we call diplomacy did not always exist in the way we know it today. In its place
entities, which can be loosely defined as States, employed rudimentary lines of communication
between one another dating back to 15th centenary. It was an arduous task to have open and
responsive lines of communication between these states, however, given the close proximity of Italian
city states and their need for open channels of communication made Italy uniquely opportune for the
development and maturation of diplomacy. After years of practicing what was called continuous

issuing the appropriate instructions, and ensuring that they are carries out (Berridge 2010 pg. 10). Part
of the responsibility is the analysis of the information that missions send home. There is the primary
function of MFAs to coordinate foreign relations. Lastly, MFAs are charged with overseeing
interaction with foreign diplomats at home. Berridge begins his book with what is essentially a
fundamental background on the evolution the MFA as an institution and how most function today.
While some might consider this information mundane or inconsequential to the goal of discussing
diplomacy at length, Berridge touches on these subjects because diplomacy, like everything, is not
static. Therefore, diplomacy is both effected by its own history and by the administrative mechanism
found within; a simplistic but critical point to make.
Negotiation
Negotiation is the most frequently used tool in diplomacy and, as Berridge points out, starts well
before any representatives sit down at a table (Berridge 2010 pg. 27). There is a pre negotiation phase
of arrangements that must be made beforehand in order to get all of the appropriate parties of a
conflict to participate.

Ancient Greeks pursued an education in order to be better citizens and because they valued the mind

Child Rearing Styles Are Different As The Parents Are
Nashika Turner 2/26/2015 DEP2004 Professor Hernandez Child rearing styles are as different as the

The Fate of Women in The Birthmark Essay
The Fate of Women in The Birthmark
Wilson Sullivan in Nathaniel Hawthorne in New England Men of Letters states that Nathaniel
Hawthorne s tale, The Birthmark, depicts the efforts of a deranged scientist to obtain total perfection
in his wife by removal of a facial blemish. In this story the scientist operates on the superficial level of
the physical world, while the woman, the truly heroic woman, functions on the level of the heart and

The wife s virtue leads her onward and upward; the husband s lack thereof and inability to appreciate
virtue in his Georgiana leads him downward and downward.
Even after Aylmer has persuaded a beautiful woman to become his wife, he is not capable of loving
her properly, unselfishly, because he had devoted himself, however, too unreservedly to scientific
studies ever to be weaned from them by any second passion. The narrator seeks to justify this error or
lack in Aylmer by explaining that it was not unusual for the love of science to rival the love of woman
in its depth and absorbing energy. Already at the outset of the tale, the reader perceives that Georgiana
is going to be shortchanged in this marriage. She is exposed to the problem initially when her husband
asks whether it never occurred to you that the mark upon your cheek might be removed? Aylmer is in
quest of physical perfection in his wife; unfortunately he discounts her inner, spiritual value so clearly

symbol of defiance against the Nazis. It was not the Nazis who controlled the city, but the Jews. The

code of behavior. The subcultural capital not only differentiated from the widely accepted popular

that subcultural knowledge often include class consciousness. As a matter of fact, the assertion of
subcultural distinction partly bases on the ideal of classlessness (Thornton, 1995). Storey also points
out that the class divides indeed exist between the subculture and the elite culture (Forgan, 2002).
Opposite from the high culture, which is often appeal to the taste of the elite class, the subcultural

Social Movements And Its Impact On Society
Everyday in society people make decisions, interact with others, and react to the adversities in life.
Social sciences are the study of all aspects of society past or present, ranging from the behavior of
humans to the digging up of ancient pottery. Through the research of social scientists, we see how
humans have developed culturally, and socially as individuals or members of society. Research of
social phenomena commonly occurs overtime due to the continuous change in society. A very
common and important study among researches are the different social movements that have occurred
and are occurring around the world. Social movements have been prevalent since the beginning of
time. Social movements are the coming together of individuals that seek to carry out, resist, or undo
social change politically and socially. Social movements can be caused by cultural drifts, social
disorganization, and social injustice. These movements are a response to social change, usually
regarding the inequality and unjust treatment of people. Studying these movements sparks an interest
in researchers because these observations make it easy to see how social movements develop and how
society can be more inclusive and equal to all individuals in society. An example of a social movement
is the women s movement of the 1960 s and 1970 s when the role of women changed drastically from
being a housewife to entering the paid workforce. Throughout history women have been treated

actually derived from Hong Kong. This means that the song is about Hong Kong, and a lot of

Tim Burton And Edward Sccissorhands
Many a times, society tends to view its outcasts as lonesome, introverted people, who lack happiness
and glee due to their secluded nature. Tim Burton, in part to his eerie film style and the fact that he
sees himself within his characters, reflects upon this idea within his films, often depicting characters
that have these outcast traits. However, Burton contradicts the aforementioned concept by
exemplifying the fact that his protagonists are often happy, full of joy, and very content with
themselves, even though they may be introverts. Therefore, through his use of close ups and
flashbacks, Burton creates the theme that one does not need to conform to society in order to be
pleased and comfortable with himself. Throughout select films, Burton uses close up shots in order to
reveal characters emotions and feelings. For instance, in Edward Scissorhands, during the scene where
the townspeople flock to Edward looking to get their hair cut, a close up shot on his face reveals a grin
emanating from his complexion. The scene establishes the idea that even though Edward has scissors
for hands, and is very different from others within the community, he finds happiness in his own ways,
particularly in ways involving his scissors. He may be an outcast, but he does not feel it is a handicap,
and continues helping others despite being different from them. Additionally, in Charlie and the

Analysis Of Katherine Mansfield s Miss Brill
In a piece of literary work there are many aspects that go along with having the reader be able to
engage with and understand the story the narrator is telling. Literary aspects like tone, symbolism and
setting is an extremely important part in understanding how and why a character acts. Knowing the
time and place a story is set in helps the reader understand what is going on, who the characters are,
and sets the reader up to understand the story that is about to unfold.
The setting of a story is a combination of place and time. In Katherine Mansfield s short story Miss
Brill, the place is set immediately, the blue sky powdered with gold and great spots of light like white
wine splashed over the Jardins Publiques (Mansfield,72). Form this the reader can gather that this
story is set in a public park in France. The narrator goes on to tell us it Sunday afternoon and the main
character, Miss Brill, likes to sit on a bench in this particular park and people watch. The time it takes
place is not specifically mentioned but one can gather that she is an old woman who is very fond of
her fox fur that is most likely not in fashion anymore. This is made explicit from the comments made
by the young couple sitting next to her, It s her fu fur which is so funny (Mansfield, 75).
The character of Miss Brill is somewhat difficult to understand because in a way she doesn t really

difficulties to handle it for the industrial use. Due to it lightest it is stored under pressure as a liquid
hydrogen. It has a fast burning rate as compared to the other fuels so any hot spots or sources of
ignition should be avoided. May 6, 1937 Hindenburg tragedy, report from the intelligence suggested a
static friction between the metal (duralumin) and the fabric was the cause of the tragedy. This means
hydrogen needs to handle very carefully. In early 1870 s many researcher s tried to use some of the
alternative fuel to have a better efficiency and to reduce the emission rate, hydrogen was one of the
element which they have found out to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The common problem which researcher s faced was, they directly supplied the HHO gas in the
carburetor. This HHO gas enters the carburetor at a certain temperature and with some traces of water
in form of vapors. Both the outcome can be easily controlled by a simple unit. These problems are
caused by the heat generation due to reaction happening through the electrolysis process inside the
container. Some researchers have sprayed water to control the pre ignition but eventually was in vain.
There is one best solution to get rid from both of these problems which have a further effects on the
engine which are stated above. If the HHO gas is somehow cooled than the temperature would
decrease and water vapor would condense leaving only the gas at a low temperature and without water
vapors. This simple unit contains a bottle filled with water at a room temperature. This bottle is named
Bubbler in which HHO gas would enter from the top which is packed for any leakages then it will
reach till bottom making the gas at a lower temperature and condensing the gas. Only the pure HHO
gas bubbles make till top and further enters the carburetor through nonreturn valve. This simple
arrangement can lead to a solution

Real Estate Aerial Shot
Real Estate Aerial Shot Look From the Above
The best view comes from the sky!
No doubt, sitting in a private jet seeing the blue green oceans, the lofty mountains, the chirping birds
and a lot to see... Sounds great, isn t it?
This will prove that a view from the sky is unsurpassed and no one can have the potential to deny this
fact. The aerial shot is akin to it. Checking out your property from the above will give you a unique
experience, but it holds a massive amount of importance.
How?
The aerial view embraces the ultimate significance when you have to sell your property. Covering the
real estate from various angles, including the interior, right and left, will give a buyer a facile idea
about your land. If you are thinking that the aerial view won t be required to add in the real estate
photography. Then, ditch your thought now! The view from the above is also necessary and you can t
overlook it. It is pretty better to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is not an iota of doubt in the fact that an aerial photography or videography can increase the
resale value of the property. It will happen only in the case, when you will hire an expert or an
experienced agency to click or shoot from the above. Yes, it matters the most. On the flip side, if you
rent an amateur or unprofessional person, then it will degrade the value of the property, as they don t
acquaint with the right degree of the clicking or shooting from the sky.
If you ask that whether an aerial photography helps in the competent advertising of your property, then
the answer is a big Yes . Suppose you have to show the video or the photographs to a buyer. In this
case, if the video/photos are professionally clicked, then only the purchaser can have the transparent
idea about that particular estate. And, then he proceeds in the direction to but that real estate. On the
other hand, if it happens adversely, then the results may be unfavorable for the property

Starbucks Servant Leadership Philosophy
The follower first philosophy is unique in that the focus or service is rooted in the well being of the
follower first to advance the organizations objectives. Servant leadership embraces the notion that if
the followers are maximizing their potential, this will directly translate to the potential of the
organization, or, in other words, organizational performance (Gandolfi, Stone, Deno, 2017, p. 353).
Servant leader engagement of the follower first philosophy comes in the form of development of the
follower. Servant leaders prioritize followers growth and development and build a positive culture of
continual learning where everyone engages in a developmental trajectory from their first day in the
company (Sendjaya, 2015, p. 108). Gandolfi et ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The former CEO of Starbucks, Howard Schultz, believed developing his followers and serving the
community is what positions companies to excel. He once said, Treating employees benevolently
shouldn t be viewed as an added cost that cuts into profits, but as a powerful energizer that can grow
the enterprise into something far greater than one leader could envision. This insight is significant and
is desired in modern organizations today. Crawford (2005) equally believes, A chief element of
transformation is the ability to cultivate the needs of the follower in a follower centered manner
(Crawford, 2005, p. 8). Ultimately, servant leaders can be successful with the follower first philosophy
simply by engaging followers through the developmental process. Servant leadership is the most
interactive style of leadership when it comes to leader/follower engagement, since the primary
emphasis for attaining organizational goals is based on serving the followers tasked with achieving
those goals (Gandolfi et al., 2017, p.

The No Chiuld Left Behind Act Essay
Change is inevitable. When the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) initiative finally became defunct, a
new accountability system emerged. In San Francisco Unified School District, central administrative
teams began a transition phase starting as early as four to five years ago when Common Core State
Standards were introduced to low performing schools. As the Instructional Reform Facilitator during
that time, it was exciting because new and more robust learning/content standards also required a
change in our approach to instruction and assessment. This was the lever in my mind that this could
help close the achievement gap. However this new initiative also brings uncertainty and apprehension
for many teachers. When I began my first year as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My theory of action was if I help teachers build instructional capacity by developing and improving
their backwards planning or curriculum mapping (identifying essential standards) and enhance their
data analysis approach, will they make a shift from following a script to making effective instructional
decisions based on the specific needs of students. My strategic actions were to plan and design
professional development opportunities that would enhance the teachers instructional practices and
differentiate my support for them through professional learning communities, informal walkthroughs,
and formal evaluation processes. During one of our professional development days in the week before
school started, we spent an entire day reviewing the curriculum mapping process and began
identifying the most essential standards and learning outcomes for students. One subtle indicator was
that only two teachers demonstrated understanding about the importance of using assessment results to
plan their first two weeks of lessons. One suggested that they would begin with a writing prompt to
determine where students were in their narrative writing, and the other expressed the urgency to
administer the reading assessment so that she could put her students in reading groups. Eighty percent
of our staff were either longing for the

Legal Landscape Of Air Charter Transportation
CHAPTER 2
LEGAL LANDSCAPE OF AIR CHARTER TRANSPORTATION
The air transportation services in India are controlled by Directorate General of Civil Aviation
(hereinafter DGCA ), operating under the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MCA). According to Rule 134 of
the Aircraft Rules, 1937, the DGCA is empowered to grant permission to individuals to operate an air

In recent times, the government has made various attempts to make general aviation viable and to

hitherto uncommon routes in an aim to improve air connectivity.
Nevertheless, the past five years have also seen several controversial legal developments in the field

Coaching can be defined as a process whereby an individual influences a group to achieve a common goal (Loughead and Hardy, 2005). Excellence in coaching should be judged on the use of knowledge, the demonstration of the coach s behaviour during participation or performance coaching and the interaction with the athletes during the session (Côté et al, 2007). All sessions should be appropriate and have an element of fun (Côté et al, 2007). • 5. Gentrification And Its Oppressed Residents Essay The U.S. Gentrification and its Oppressed Residents For the past two decades, gentrification has become a widely known phenomenon in the U.S. as more wealthy cohorts of population move to quiet and cheap suburban areas instead of bearing the busy and costly lives in a big city. Changes brought by the influx of affluent newcomers in the suburban areas are often praised for fostering urban renewal as well as animating the areas local economy. However, the impacts of gentrification cause several types of new problems which now afflict long time, low income residents in gentrifying neighborhoods. With the soaring prices of the real estate market, landlords harassment against low income tenants, and rising living expenses, gentrification further augments the inequality and conflicts between the poor and rich inhabitants. Historically, many of the suburban towns and neighborhoods around the major U.S. cities served as homes to poor and minority residents, offering cheaper living spaces due to the marginalized and inconvenient geographical locations with several negative reputations. Yet, given the big cities overcrowded environment and expensive living cost, these suburban areas are now popular destinations for people who seek for a less crowded and affordable neighborhood to dwell. According to statistics by Kolko (2016), in 2015, the population of overall U.S. suburban neighborhoods increased by 159 million people, while only the total of less than 80 million ... Secondly, in Act 1 Scene 4, he describes Queen Mab as one who gives people what they want, in her dreams. For example, On courtiers knees, that dream on curtsies straight; O er lawyers fingers, who straight dream on fees; O er ladies lips, who straight on kisses dream. (W. Shakespeare 830) These dreams are insignificant, and as a result, Mercutio tells Romeo about Queen Mab; his dreams about Juliet are insignificant. Finally, Mercutio is apparently jealous of Romeo. Throughout Romeo and Juliet, his lines label him as a pessimistic non lover. In Act 2 Scene 4, Mercutio says Alas, poor Romeo! • 13. Native American Children And The Educational Assault On... Any people fighting for rights encounter similar threats, but indigenous peoples face many threats that are unique to them. Struggling with governments is, of course, common across many forms of protest, but indigenous populations have sui generis interactions with governments, ones that are often more complicated by differences of culture. Many threats that indigenous people in particular encounter fall under the header of ethnocidal interactions with foreign parties in which missionaries, governments, and corporations come into indigenous held areas and destroy their cultures, often deliberately. These outsiders will often believe that they are helping savage indigenous people by civilizing them. Common ethnocidal practices include education, land taking, and religious control. Colin G. Calloway called the enforced European style education of Native American children the educational assault on Indian children (383). Native American children were taken from their homes to be raised and educated in boarding schools in an effort to make them better members of European American society. In 1880, the Board of Indian Commissioners wrote that as a savage we cannot tolerate him [Native Americans] any more than as a half civilized parasite, wanderer, or vagabond. The only alternative is to fit him by education for civilized life (as cited in Calloway 383). Due to his inexperience in this freezing weather, mixed in with his ignorance, the man s death was certain. Once in a while the thought repeated itself that it was very cold and the he had never experienced such cold. As he walked along he rubbed his face and nose with the back of his mittened hand. He did this without thinking, frequently changing hands. But, with all his rubbing, the instant he stopped, his face and nose became numb. His face would surely be frozen. He knew that and he was sorry that he had not worn the sort of nose guard Bud wore when it was cold. Such a guard passed across the nose and covered the entire face. But it did not matter much, he decided. What was a little frost? A bit painful, that was all. It was never serious. • 16. Emily Grierson Hierarchy William Faulkner s short story A Rose for Emily depicts the need for a hierarchy by which to rank and organize individuals by merit of their importance. Class, gender and race each play a vital role in determining the interactions of Jefferson s residents. Notably, these issues affect how Emily Grierson, Homer Barron, and Emily s Negro servant Tobe are treated by the townspeople, as well as their behavior. Together race, gender and class portray and define the characters for who they are and act to elucidate their positions in society. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Emily was considered an aristocrat of sorts in the town, her actions, inappropriate by any other woman, continued without question. In Jefferson, class superseded the stereotypes against a gender, and to an extent even law and logic. With rumors of a romantic relationship between Homer and Emily, the townspeople s first reaction was to reject the notion as folly. The women of the town speculate that a Grierson would not think seriously of a Northerner, a day laborer while the town elders believed that Emily would be unable to forget the noblesse oblige : the obligations of the higher class (Faulkner 311). In the eyes of the town, it would be improper for a woman of such high class to intermingle with a man of lower class. This, along with his affiliation with the Yankees, results in the town turning against Homer, despite his seemingly agreeable personality. Homer and Emily s relationship created changes to the status quo. In turn these changes resulted in the summoning of Emily s sister from Alabama; this decision, later regretted by the town, was a last ditch effort to preserve the conventional order of class within Jefferson. Despite the criticism Emily receives, she chooses to continue in her pursuit of Homer, demonstrating her continued indifference to the opinions of those around her, a benefit available to her because of her social class. A movie does offer great visuals of what a book is describing, yet it also has time restrictions and leaves many unimportant parts of the book out. Despite staying quiet close to the novel s plot, the movie had many changes that never happened in the book, especially during the beginning. For instance, in the second chapter of the book, the author makes it known that Mary hardly even knows her parents. Mary had liked to look at her mother from a distance and she had thought her very pretty, but she knew very little of her she could scarcely have been expected to love her or to miss her very much when she was gone (7). This extract, which describes Jay Gatsby s extravagant party is a microcosm of the type of seductive and exciting lifestyle that was lived by those eager to fulfil the American dream in the 1920 s. • 20. We Need A Major Change On The Earth s Atmosphere It is a known fact that we as a society are having a major affect on the earth s atmosphere. Since the Industrial Revolution technologies have advanced and a lot of our means of energy give off harmful pollution. Mass production has allowed the number of cars in production to grow exponentially, and the increasing population is keeping them in demand. Pollution is at an all time high now and continues to get worse with the growing populations. More and more people are driving vehicles and able to afford their own transportation, which has really driven the amount of pollution in the atmosphere up over the past century. Emissions from our vehicles make up about twenty percent of the global warming pollution. This poses a real threat to our environment that needs to be changed. I am not saying that is it bad to drive cars or that people should go on a strike from driving. All I am saying is that we need a major change in our current thinking and process. We are battling the effects and concerns of vehicle emissions everyday, and the change is not happening as fast as it should be going. In order for change to take effect there is going to need to be support from everyone. One way that the majority of us can help in this epidemic is by making more environmentally conscious choices. Choosing a cleaner and more efficient fuel option for our vehicles can make loads of difference if everyone joins in, and create plenty of positive externalities that everyone can enjoy. Air ... • 22. Gun Control Portrayal Analysis Gun control has been debated in American History for decades yet it still persists today. We need to take a step back as a nation and examine the driving force behind gun control and gun violence in America. This is becoming a serious problem, because every mass shooting takes more lives. The government continues to sit at a standstill with regard to gun control. The Republicans have no desire to restrict Americans second amendment right to bear arms. However, Democrats don t intend to take away an American s right, they seek to limit and remove high caliber guns from the market. Americans are on different sides when it comes to gun control, but there are those who try to push their opinions in different forms. American culture is and always has been represented through political cartoons. They can say a lot about the illustrator s viewpoints and how they are representative of America through color and context. The political cartoon I chose was on gun control or the lack thereof. The cartoon is of a man standing behind a counter of a store called GOP GUNS and GORE and the sign says that this store is opened 24/7. The man behind the counter is handing another man a gun with a black shirt that says kill. The salesman is saying, You re on the federal watchlist. But we still want you to have this. Everyone has a different opinion for who is honorable and who is dishonorable or corrupt. Titinus responds respectfully, O Cassius, Brutus gave the word too early, Who, having some advantage on Octavius, Took it too eagerly. Titinius is now correcting Cassius in a nice way saying that Brutus has already sent the troops to surprise attack, but they left. This kind of explanation from Titinius shows us he is respectful, and he is not showing off to Cassius. The next and final reason why I feel that Titinius is the most honorable is the loyalty he has. Titinius shows loyalty in the most brave way. He is so loyal to Cassius that when he finds himself at Cassius s body, he kills himself. Some would say he is completely crazy, but others say this is loyal and the thing to do. In my opinion, Titinius is very loyal to Cassius, and I would commend him for that. As a result, I find Cassius honorable for being obedient, a fearless man, and a loyal soldier. Just as Titinius most honorable character in the play, from my perspective, Octavius is the most dishonorable. Octavius is the son of Caesar. Octavius should have set a better example from the beginning. Octavius is dishonorable because he is very destructive. When Lepidus and Octavius first meet, Octavius already says to Lepidus that his brother must die, too. He says blantly, Your brother must too die; consent you Lepidus? (Shakespeare 4.1.2). Tim Burton, in part to his eerie film style and the fact that he sees himself within his characters, reflects upon this idea within his films, often depicting characters that have these outcast traits. However, Burton contradicts the aforementioned concept by exemplifying the fact that his protagonists are often happy, full of joy, and very content with themselves, even though they may be introverts. Therefore, through his use of close ups and flashbacks, Burton creates the theme that one does not need to conform to society in order to be pleased and comfortable with himself. For instance, in Edward Scissorhands, during the scene where the townspeople flock to Edward looking to get their hair cut, a close up shot on his face reveals a grin emanating from his complexion. This HHO gas enters the carburetor at a certain temperature and with some traces of water in form of vapors. Both the outcome can be easily controlled by a simple unit. These problems are caused by the heat generation due to reaction happening through the electrolysis process inside the container. Some researchers have sprayed water to control the pre ignition but eventually was in vain. There is one best solution to get rid from both of these problems which have a further effects on the engine which are stated above. If the HHO gas is somehow cooled than the temperature would decrease and water vapor would condense leaving only the gas at a low temperature and without water vapors. This simple unit contains a bottle filled with water at a room temperature. This bottle is named Bubbler in which HHO gas would enter from the top which is packed for any leakages then it will reach till bottom making the gas at a lower temperature and condensing the gas. Only the pure HHO gas bubbles make till top and further enters the carburetor through nonreturn valve. This simple arrangement can lead to a solution ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In San Francisco Unified School District, central administrative teams began a transition phase starting as early as four to five years ago when Common Core State Standards were introduced to low performing schools. As the Instructional Reform Facilitator during that time, it was exciting because new and more robust learning/content standards also required a change in our approach to instruction and assessment.
