It is a presentation, presenting some social factors that govern language. All the factors are really well elaborated separately with no ambiguity. This presentation will be very beneficial for students to learn about social factors governing language variation.
The slides shown here have been used for talks given to scientists in informal contexts.
Python is introduced as a valuable tool for both producing and evaluating data.
The talk is essentially a guided tour of the author's favourite parts of the Python ecosystem. Besides the Python language itself, NumPy and SciPy as well as Matplotlib are mentioned.
A last part of the talk concerns itself with code execution speed. With this problem in sight, Cython and f2py are introduced as means of glueing different languages together and speeding Python up.

2. Sociolinguistics:
The term “sociolinguistics” is used generally for the
STUDY of the RELATIONSHIP between LANGUAGE
and SOCIETY.
It has a strong connections with ANTHROPOLOGY.
It is the STUDY of
LANGUAGE and
CULTURE.
SOCIAL DIALECTS:
The STUDY of social dialects has
been mainly concerned with speakers
in towns and cities.

It is used to define groups of
speakers as having something

3. EDUCATION AND OCCUPATION
We generally tend to sound like others with whom
we SHARE similar EDUCATIONAL
BACKGROUNDS and/or OCCUPATIONS.
THERE ARE different patterns between those
who leave the EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM and
those who go on to complete COLLEGE.
THOSE who spend more time in the
EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM tend to have more
FEATURES in their SPOKEN LANGUAGE that
derive from a lot of time SPENT with the
WRITTEN LANGUAGE.

MARKERS
It is a FEATURE which occurs frequently in our
SPEECH.
It MARKS you as a member of a PARTICULAR
SOCIAL GROUP, whether you realize it or not.
PRONUNCIATION FEATURES:
Example: - The final pronunciation of –ING.

sounds the same.

It is a way of explaining the direction in which certain
individuals CHANGE their speech.
The speaker modifies his/her speech style toward or away from
the perceived style of the person (s) we’re talking to.
It is influenced by their perception of their listeners.
It is used in order to reduce social distance, described as
convergence.
Prestige:

When it changes in the direction of a
form that is more frequent in the
speech of those perceived to have
HIGHER social STATUS.
