Textile physics provides essential knowledge for textile engineering. It covers topics like yarn geometry, fabric geometry, and mechanical properties that help understand how materials behave and are used. Specifically, textile physics informs calculations like yarn diameter and strength; fiber distribution in yarns; relationships between twist, count, and strength; fabric permeability and crimp; and mechanical properties like fatigue, creep, breaking strength, and dimensional changes from swelling. Understanding these fundamentals from textile physics is necessary for extracting properties from fabrics and controlling fabrication processes in textile engineering.

The Flexural rigidity of fabric’s bending stiffness is important for both consumer and industrial applications of fabrics. While fabric stiffness may not be wanted too high for a good drape in apparel and garment fabrics, it may be an important requirement especially for industrial fabrics to be used widely in heavy duty applications such as geotextiles and forming fabrics. For example, a forming fabric that easily bends under load and its own weight between the drive rolls may cause poor sheet formation during process.
Comparison of some of Denim Fabric Properties produced with different Weftijsrd.com
The aim of this study was to asses and compares the some of denim fabric properties using three different weft yarns. Threads per inch and weft type are some of the most important parameters that affect both weaving performance and fabric property. Experimental studies were conducted by weaving fabrics with same warp yarn i.e. 9'OE Rotor yarn. Three different weft yarns are (1) Excel (2) Cotton (3) Polyester. These all are same count. Denim fabrics was woven in three different twill weave (1) 2/1 (2) 3/1 (3) 2/2. It was found the weave type and weft type affects fabric properties. The weave and weft yarn has great impact on the some of comfort related properties also i.e. air permeability, tensile strength, tear strength, and seam slippage, bursting strength.
Effect of count and stitch length on spirality of single jersey knit fabriceSAT Journals
Abstract
The following paper focuses on change in spirality due to stitch length and count variation .This work was carried out with 12 samples of single jersey knit fabrics which were scoured and bleached with NaOH and H2O2 (35% strength), dyed with reactive dye (Remazol Yellow RR reactive class) and were finished as standard procedure . After finishing the samples were tested for spirality and compared between different stitch length and count. The result obtained in this research indicated that spirality increases strongly due to increase of stitch length when count of yarn is fixed and on fixed stitch length spirality increases with the increment of count.

Effect of stitch length on physical and mechanical properties of single jerse...Elias Khalil (ইলিয়াস খলিল)
The physical and mechanical properties of knitted fabric can be changed due to use of various count of yarn, type of yarn
(ring, rotor, and compact), quality of yarn, stitch length / loop length, structural geometry, fiber composition of yarn etc. This study
focused on the various stitch length effect of grey single jersey. With an increase in stitch length, the dimensional properties like CPI,
WPI, GSM, thickness & tightness factor will be decreased for all the structures; while comfort properties like air permeability & water
absorbency will be increased. Again shrinkage & spirality will be decreased with increased stitch length at grey stage. Other properties
such as bursting strength, abrasion resistance & pilling resistance improved with increased stitch length. Though all the tests for fabric
properties were carried out for grey stage, there properties can considerably vary after further finishing of the fabrics. As finishing is
mandatory for fabric production, so now-a-days, these kinds of tests are carried out after finishing stage & proper controlling is done
according to desired quality. Sometimes, controlling of some properties of finished fabrics are beyond our trial. In that case, analysis of
fabric properties at grey stage can help us to take various control & corrective actions when necessary.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. The relevancy of textile physics in the field of textile engineering
Textile physics is an important part in textile engineering field. Textile physics
gives us the idea about yarn geometry, fabric geometry and also mechanical
properties. They helps us to get concepts about the information which have impact
on materials end behaviors or real life uses. Now I describe about the relevancy in
the field with those ideas in the below in brief.
From Yarn Geometry:-
From yarn geometry we learn about the calculation of yarn diameter
which is used in our practical life.
We also know about the distributions of the fibers in the yarn that
means how the fibers are lie in the yarn and we get concept about the
strength type of the material.
Again from that topic we know about the fiber migration that means
how the fibers migrated into the yarn and we get the idea of spinning
triangle from fiber migration which is related to yarn breakage in the
spinning process.
Also know about the relationship between yarn twist and count and
from this relationship we realize about optimum twist factor. Here we
notice that twist is directly related with the strength.
We know about the effect of static electricity due to friction and how
can we overcome from this problem.
From Fabric Geometry:-
From fabric geometry we get concept about fabric permeability that
means whether the fabric is permeable or not and we know where they
used.
From that topics we know about the fabric crimp in details.
We also know the crimp interchange that means warp and weft
jamming and their effects.
We know the pick spacing and end spacing.
We know the tensile properties on woven fabrics.
We get the idea about using of same twisted yarns and opposite
twisted yarns in the fabric and how can they used for various effects
during weaving.
From Mechanical Properties:-
3. We get the idea about fatigue, creep etc. for which we assume the
durability of the fabric.
We know about the breaking strength and from this we calculate the
breaking load at which the material is fractured.
With swelling concept we know about the shrinkage and dimension
change in the yarn or fabric. Again we know the creep effect when
twist angle is increased due to swelling.
Again we know from swelling effect about the permeability and by
applying this concept we will produce the water proof fabrics.
We know about the flexural properties from which we get concept of
drape. We need the drape for shaping property of a fabric.
Torsional properties gives us the idea about torsional rigidity and
torsional rigidity decreases the twisting result. As a result we can’t
give twist easily.
Frictional properties give us the about breakage rate of yarns during
fabrication.
We also know about the minimization the hairiness as much as
possible due to friction which causes unevenness and shade variation
in subsequent processes.
Thermal properties give the idea about wearing fabrics in different
seasons like woolen fabrics are used in the Winter season and cotton
fabrics are used in the Summer season.
In fact we tell that from above points the relevancy of the textile physics in field of
engineering is that if we extract the fundamental properties from the fabric, must
need with those above ideas which are we get from textile physics knowledge. Again
if we control the process of our desired material, the knowledge of textile physics is
mandatory.
