1. The document presents a framework for detecting and recognizing text in natural images.
2. The framework includes candidate text generation using MSER extraction and discrete wavelet transform, followed by non-text filtering using occupation ratio and stroke width.
3. A component level classifier then determines relationships between connected components, and an SVM classifier further rejects non-text blocks to output the detected text, which is then recognized using OCR.
Hardware Unit for Edge Detection with Comparative Analysis of Different Edge ...paperpublications3
Abstract: An edge in an image is a contour across which the brightness of the image changes abruptly. In image processing, an edge is often interpreted as one class of singularities. Edge detection is an important task in image processing. It is a main tool in pattern recognition, image segmentation, and scene analysis. An edge detector is basically a high pass filter that can be applied to extract the edge points in an image. This topic has attracted many researchers and many achievements have been made. Many researchers provided different approaches based on mathematical calculations which some of them are either robust or cost effective. A new algorithm will be proposed to detect the edges of image with increased robustness and throughput. Using this algorithm we will reduce the time complexity problem which is faced by previous algorithm. We will also propose hardware unit for proposed algorithm which will reduce the area, power and speed problem. We will compare our proposed algorithm with previous approach. For image quality measurement we will use some scientific parameters those are PSNR, SSIM, FSIM. Implementation of proposed algorithm will be done by Matlab and hardware implementation will be done by using of Verilog on Xilinx 14.1 simulator. Verification will be done on Model sim.
SAR Image Classification by Multilayer Back Propagation Neural NetworkIJMTST Journal
A novel descriptive feature extraction method of Discrete Fourier transform and neural network classifier for classification of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images is proposed. The classification process has the following stages (1) Image Segmentation using statistical Region Merging (SRM) (2) Polar transform and Feature extraction using Discrete Fourier Transform (3) Neural Network classification using back propagation. This is generally the first step in image analysis. Segmentation subdivides an image into its constituent parts or objects. The level to which this subdivision is carried depends on the problem being solved. The image segmentation in this study is performed using Statistical Region Merging proposed Richard Nock and Frank Nielsen. The key idea of the Statistical Region Merging model is to formulate image segmentation as an inference problem. Here the merging procedure is based on the theorem. Feature vectors as the input for the neural network. Polar transform is applied to segmented SAR image. The rotation problem under the Cartesian coordinates becomes the translation problem under the polar coordinates.

Abstract
Feature-based image matching is an important characteristic in many computer based applications such as object recognition, 3D stereo reconstruction, structure-from-motion and images stitching. These applications require a lot real-time performance. Feature based algorithms are well-suited for such operations. Different algorithms are used for image processing like Scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT), Speeded up Robust Features (SURF), Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF (ORB). ORB is one of the fast binary descriptor which is relying on BRIEF, where the BRIEF is rotation invariant and resistant to noise. This paper gives the advantages of rotation invariance and scale invariance of ORB algorithm for object detection technique. Query based object detection method is explained in this paper for object detection with efficient computation time. Different experimental results prove the scale invariance and rotation in variance of ORB in query based object detection method.

An enhanced fireworks algorithm to generate prime key for multiple users in f...journalBEEI
This work presents a new method to enhance the performance of fireworks algorithm to generate a prime key for multiple users. A threshold technique in image segmentation is used as one of the major steps. It is used processing the digital image. Some useful algorithms and methods for dividing and sharing an image, including measuring, recognizing, and recognizing, are common. In this research, we proposed a hybrid technique of fireworks and camel herd algorithms (HFCA), where Fireworks are based on 3-dimension (3D) logistic chaotic maps. Both, the Otsu method and the convolution technique are used in the pre-processing image for further analysis. The Otsu is employed to segment the image and find the threshold for each image, and convolution is used to extract the features of the used images. The sample of the images consists of two images of fingerprints taken from the Biometric System Lab (University of Bologna). The performance of the anticipated method is evaluated by using FVC2004 dataset. The results of the work enhanced algorithm, so quick response code (QRcode) is used to generate a stream key by using random text or number, which is a class of symmetric-key algorithm that operates on individual bits or bytes.

ABSTRACT : Image registration is an important and fundamental task in image processing used to match two different images. Image registration estimates the parameters of the geometrical transformation model that maps the sensed images back to its reference image. A Feature-Based Approach to automated image-to-image registration is presented. In this paper, various methods are used in different Phases of Image registration. The characteristics of this approach is it combines scale interaction of Discrete wavelets for feature extraction, Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) for feature matching. Scale-invariant feature transform (or SIFT) is an algorithm in computer vision to detect and describe local features in images. SIFT feature descriptor is invariant to uniform scaling, orientation, and partially invariant to affine distortion and illumination changes.

Image Steganography Using Wavelet Transform And Genetic AlgorithmAM Publications
This paper presents the application of Wavelet Transform and Genetic Algorithm in a novel
steganography scheme. We employ a genetic algorithm based mapping function to embed data in Discrete Wavelet
Transform coefficients in 4x4 blocks on the cover image. The optimal pixel adjustment process is applied after
embedding the message. We utilize the frequency domain to improve the robustness of steganography and, we
implement Genetic Algorithm and Optimal Pixel Adjustment Process to obtain an optimal mapping function to
reduce the difference error between the cover and the stego-image, therefore improving the hiding capacity with
low distortions. Our Simulation results reveal that the novel scheme outperforms adaptive steganography technique
based on wavelet transform in terms of peak signal to noise ratio and capacity, 39.94 dB and 50% respectively.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
