A Streetcar Named Desire And Zhang Yimou s Film Raise The...
Tennessee Williams play A Streetcar Named Desire and Zhang Yimou s film Raise the Red Lantern
both explore the social constraints that have historically been placed on the female gender. Set in
1940s New Orleans and 1920s Northern China respectively, inherent in both texts is an androcentric
and patriarchal society that can be observed to impact the protagonists , Blanche Duboisand
Songlian s, psychological capacities to a substantial extent. Indeed, it can be suggested that their
behaviours, mindsets and attitudes were manipulated by the society in which they lived, the extent
of which will be explored in this essay.
Yimou and Williams explore, through their protagonists situations, how women were extremely
limited in their social and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Songlian submits herself to the fate of existing solely to serve a man for whom she exhibits no
emotional attachment. The fact that Blanche and Songlian saw prostitution and the concubine role
respectively as their only option is a reflection of the impact on their psyches by their respective
society s diminished conceptions of women.
Raise the Red Lantern and A Streetcar Named Desire examine the way the power struggles affect
the protagonists interactions and the motives behind these. The power plays, manipulation and
revenge between the four oppressed women. In Raise the Red Lantern are driven by jealousy.
Songlian was initially uncomfortable in her relationship with Chen, exhibited during their first
night together when her one request to him was to put out the lights. However, despite her initial
reluctance, she came to the realisation that if she could manage to have a foot massage everyday
[she d] soon be running this household. Therefore, she too succumbed to the petty rivalries, most
notably when she utilised the situation of cutting Zhuoyun s hair to damage her ear. Similarly,
Blanche is continually struggling against Stella s husband, Stanley, for dominance. Until the arrival
of Blanche, Stanley s masculine power and control was unchallenged. Needing to overcome the fear
she feels around Stanley, Blanche tries to expose, confront and exploit his vulnerabilities,
emasculating him by describing him as

Character Analysis Of Snoop Dogg
I will be talking about 3 characters that I feel personally have the same character concepts as me
like Snoop Dogg. We share plenty of the same interest but that is for you to read and find out. All
three of these characters I visualize are in myself because of the experiences I ve had are exactly
like them. I seem to have the same personalities as them so I suggest I am a very active person but
very mellow as well like I donВґt need to be rushed unless it is important. The three fictional
characters that most represent my personality are Biggie Smalls for his/her legendary rapping
skills about his life and was very wise person but not the smartest, Jordan Belfort for his amazing
creativity and being stupid smart, and Snoop Doggfor his... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This was his time to shine and let the people know his voice and overcome. With this being said I
also have had at least a similar experience to the character. I was basically more of a savage back in
my freshmen year of highschool. Although I was not a dropout like him I always got in trouble in
school and outside in public because I didnВґt care. I would ditch, steal, drugs, hangout with other
lil savages like me and this is just recipe for disaster and had my run ins with the law. Ended up
doing 6 months probation with 60 hour community service. But drawing was always another
side of me my peers did not really know about and I enjoy really well. Its like you are working
but it doesn t feel like it because of all the joy you get out of it. A hobby that I do not get bored of

about my life and what adventures this subject can bring out of me. Instead of all the bad

form of addiction but in a good way. This helped me because it made me question more about my

Chloroform In The United States
As known by all, the United States Environmental Protection Agency was created for the purpose
of protecting the health of the environment and all organisms residing within it, including humans,
by composing and enforcing regulations based on laws passed by the United States government.
The EPA has taken a variety of steps in order to ensure the safety of all who reside within the
Unites States, such as amending the Clean Air Act, banning the use of the cancer causing pesticide
DDT, and limiting industrial discharges of pollution into waterways. The people could not thank
you all enough for your service and aid towards the environment and its people. However, it is due
to recent events that this letter is being sent to the agency, in hopes... Show more content on

In terms of surgical procedures, much of society refrains from using chloroform as an anesthetic
due to its life threatening effects on the human body and this chemical is not commonly used by
the average individual within society, so its absence will be barely noticed from the daily lives
of Americans. Yet, despite the fact that chloroform is an environmental hazard and is barely
used by the average individual, its is acknowledged that the chemical is also used as a reagent
and a solvent by factories in order to produce other chemicals. The hydrogen attached to carbon
within this organic compound allows it to participate in hydrogen bonding and serve as a solvent
for pesticides, fats, rubber, and oils. Next, chloroform also serves as a reagent (a compound added
to a system to cause a chemical reaction, that is not necessarily consumed throughout the reaction),
as it usually reacts with aqueous sodium hydroxide in order to produce the compound CCl2,
which can then be inserted into the bonds of other compounds to create new substances. As a
result, it can be noted that the economy, specifically the rubber and pesticide industries, will be
hindered for a short amount of time. It is only a short amount of time, as there are many
replacements available for chloroform that will result in the same or similar chemicals that
factories want to produce. These alternatives include the chemical dimethoxyethane, which can
replaced chloroform s role as a solvent due to its ability to mix in all proportions with a variety of
solutes, including water and ethanol, and ethyl acetate, which can replace chloroform s role as a
reagent to react with sodium hydroxide, as the reactivity of its elements are similar to the elements
found within chloroform. As such, many of the possible economical harms can be easily repaired
through the simple substitution of other chemicals that do not

Kierkegaard Sacrifice
Although remembered by many as foremost a philosopher, SГёren Kierkegaard was quite the
theologian in his time, with his own unique approach to theology and Christianity in general. In a
time that was ruled by objective methodology in every aspect of acquiring and summarizing
knowledge, Kierkegaard sought to bring Christianityback into the realm of the subjective, thereby
making it much more interactive and personal. What this paper focuses on is Kierkegaard s
requirement of sacrifice that all Christians must be willing to make in order to be considered true
Christians, followed by both a critique and a praise for his contagious notion.
What is Meant by Sacrifice in Christianity?
At the time of SГёren Kierkegaard, many relatively new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Even more drastic, some tied in their religious beliefs and faith with their work ethic and/or
national identity, which thought process Kierkegaard gives an example of: How can you doubt that
you are a Christian? Are you not a Dane...do you not perform you duties at the office like a
conscientious civil servant; are you not a good servant of a Christian nation...so of course you
must be a Christian. Kierkegaard loathed how cold and detached the Christian faith had
become, so he saw it fit that he remind people what being a Christian truly meant. In his famous
work Fear and Trembling, Kierkegaard declares that no person has a right to delude others into
the belief that faith is something of no great significance, or that it is an easy matter, whereas it
is the greatest and most difficult of all things. The difficulty of faith lies in the requirement of
sacrifice. The story of Abraham s near sacrifice of his beloved son, Isaac, is what Kierkegaard
utilizes to demonstrate how costly faith in God is. Here is a man, who after seventy years of
waiting for God s promise of offspring finally received his son, is commanded by God to slay his
promised son with no stated reason for doing so. Kierkegaard, in attempting to experience what
Abraham might have experienced in those moments, cries, Now all is lost, God demands Isaac, I
shall sacrifice him, and with him all my joy but for all that, God is love and will remain so for me.
What bold words! The cost

My Leadership And The Army s Leadership
I spent a number of years at 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), based in
Stuttgart, Germany. I grew up in the unit, learning as I went and increasing my responsibilities as
I gained rank. Sometimes I had a Soldier or two for whom I was responsible. I mentored them,
guided their activities, and pushed them to become better leaders. Then there were other periods
where I wasn t necessarily responsible for troops. My leadershipdevelopment took the form of
mission management and initiative, unit training, or independent project development. I also began
to notice the importance of organizational leadership and perspective. By the time I left the unit as
a Staff Sergeant, having also undergone significant personal growth and maturing, I came to see
leadership not so much as a set of tools to get things done, but an attitude or a mindset that must
maintain.
In my current assignment, it is my responsibility to project and promote the Army s leadership
values every day. This role has significantly informed my more polished leadership philosophy in
the last year. What I have found is that when I approach my work with the right mindset and regard
myself as a leader in every moment, the actual tasks of any mission are simply accomplished at, or
usually above, the standard. It is the most important elements of that mindset that I seek to discuss
here: professionalism, trust, and service.
To be a professional is to first recognize your work as a profession. This means

The Importance Of Communication In Communication
Introduction Jose Orozco is a married student attending IMAC language school in Guadalajara,
Mexico. He is working hard to increase his English proficiency while maintaining his full time
manufacturing job and meeting his family obligations. Jose s primary language goal is to improve
his conversational skills on the phone in hopes of securing a higher paying job. The objective of
this essay is to create a plan that meets Jose s requested goal of increased English language usage
while using his cell phone. Student Background Speaking English on the telephonecan be one of the
most challenging and frustrating tasks because listening comprehension is more difficult on the
phone. Understanding the telephone speaker s vocabulary has become a survival skill in the
twenty first century. The best way to acquire the skill is by interactively modeling a real life phone
call using phrases such as, could you repeat that please, I need to confirm what you are saying,
please hold, etc. It is also important to practice listening to the rhythm and intonation of a caller s
voice. The distortions in digital recordings make voicemail messages very difficult to understand.
Fortunately, voicemail can be repeated numerous times until understood. Jose understands these
difficulties. He is highly motivated to learn as he uses the phone in both his personal and
professional life. Although both of Jose s brothers speak English, he almost never speaks anything

Numerical Modeling And Validation Of Neo Hookean Materials

Project title: Numerical modelling and validation of Neo Hookean materials in an automotive
design application
1. BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY
1.1BACKGROUND
Cauchy elastic materials, also known as simple elastic materials are a type of material in which the
stress at each point can only be determined from the state of deformation in which it is currently in
with respect to a arbitrary co ordinate system [1]. The fact that these stresses depend solely on the
state of deformation means that these stresses, which cause work, can depend on the path in which
the material deforms. This translates to the material being conservative, also known as a
hyperplastic material (e.g. rubber).
Hyper elastic material, also know as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Generally, the hydraulics pressure is generated from either the geroter (generated rotor), or a
rotary vane pump, which are driven by the engine of the vehicle. The turning of the wheels is
done by a hydraulic cylinder which has a force applied to it from a hydraulic cylinder, which is
directly controlled by valves allowing for flow according to the drivers steering. The more force
applied by the driver allows for a grater flow in the hydraulic system thus, allowing for a greater
displacements of the steering heel, leading to an increased turning rate of the vehicle.
Considering hydraulic pumps are designed to in effect only during positive displacement the speed
of the engine, directly relates to the flow rate of the hydraulic pump meaning that at high speeds
the cars steering operates easier and faster compared to low speeds.
FIGURE 2: Power steering unit layout [3].
The equivalent linear stiffness of the dust boot covers is important for the feel of the steering, and
the packaging constraints in that area are restrictive so a trade off needs to be found between the
maximum diameter (minimum stiffness) of the concertina folded cover and the effect of the
stiffness on the steering.

Knowing how to identify internal strengths and weakness can be beneficial in helping to prepare
for any examination. Time management and organizational skills are a key trait that should be
mastered extensively (Shelley, 2005). The most successful students use their time wisely. An
upcoming exam can create a heavy burden. Making a realistic study schedule and having the
proper study space that is free from distractions and kept well organized is vital (Shelley, 2005).
Test anxiety is a very common trait that occurs in many people. You have spent weeks studying for
the examination, covered every single topic and read every single material having to deal with the
upcoming exam. You walk into the classroom, sit down, and retrieve all your materials that you
need. The instructor hands out your exam and gives everyone the confirmation to begin. You open
up the exam and start reading the first question, hoping to be familiar with the subject. As you read
question after question, you realize that you can t recall the answers to anything that you have just
read. According to Salend (2011), this is the time that you start to panic, your chest gets tight, you
get sweaty, you start feeling overwhelmed (p. 58). Many students suffer from this type of anxiety
when it comes to taking examinations that can hinder their performance and well being. Proper
studying and adequate preparation can help students overcome test anxiety and help improve their
performance. Employing

Formation of this plaque is due to the damage of endothelial cells (inner cells) that line the walls of

smoking, lack of exercise, hypertension, diabetes or high cholesterol levels. As a result harmful

The Reasons For Identification Of The Alaska s Economy
The United States obtained Alaska from Russia in 1867 for $7.2 million. Numerous lawmakers and
columnists at the time protested the high cost and indeterminate prospects of procuring a sensible
profit for the speculation, yet history now appear consistent in their judgment that the buy was
useful for the United States, fiscally and something else. Present day analysts on the buy appear to
contrast just about whether to attribute the good conclusion to fortuity as opposed to American
prescience. Course readings and special materials for the province of Alaskakeep on pointing out

The Rise Of Crime And Crime
Opposing to widely held outlooks for example, both victimisation and authorised crime
presented specifically sharp drops from 2007 to 2009, when being without a job rates ascended.
Robbery, burglary, and household theft oppressions had been dropping by a rate of about 4% per
year from 1993 2006, but fell by an ordinary of 6 to 7% per year for the duration of the Great
Recession. This is not for the reason that crimeis distinct to economic situations, but for the reason
that crime is correlated to so many other things. Criminologists Richard Rosenfeld and Robert
Fornango propose that consumer confidence and the view of economic poverty may have an

Causes And Effects Of Hurricane Katrina
Natural disasters seem to be occurring more frequently and are causing groundbreaking amounts
damage worldwide, the worst natural disaster in history remains a huge 1931 flood in China that
killed over three million people. Three million people from a storm. Another natural disaster that
happened in a modern world was hurricane Katrina. Endless lessons can be learnt from this disaster
especially when you have technological tools to prepare your citizens. (Barton, 2008. p123). On
August 29, 2005 when hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast of the United States, nearly every
trained meteorologist, public official in the country had underestimated its absolute power. In a
wired, fully modern American city over,1800 hundreds of people died in this catastrophe. The total
financial cost of Katrina, from repair construction damage to homes, businesses, to financing both
rental housing for victims and infrastructure repairs, reached 150 billion dollars. The human cost
was much greater. (Barton, 2008.p 124). On the evening of August 27, 2005, New Orleans mayor
Ray Naginspoke with Mayfield, the director of the National Hurricane Center. Mayfield suggested
to evacuate the city. Nagin was concerned about if he would order the public to evacuate and
Katrina would move offshore, the city could be sued by businesses for any unnecessary loss of
commerce they might experience. Additionally, by this fear and his concern was that New Orleans

Rutherford B. Hayes Essay
amp;#9; Rutherford B. Hayes was considered by many to be a simple, uncontroversial, and honest
man to run for the presidency. That is why many people are perplexed that such an astute person
should have one of the most controversial elections and presidencies ever. Considering Hayes
honorable principles, it came as a surprise to see how he could unknowingly make a decision about
reconstruction where its effects were so blatantly derogatory to the cause he was trying to help.
amp;#9;The controversy began when he was merely running for office. Hayes was running against
Democrat Samuel J. Tilden. When the ballots were tallied in 1876, Hayes clearly lost the popular
vote, and had lost the electoral vote 184 to 165 . However, twenty votes ... Show more content on

An 1871 report to Congress says that in nine counties in South Carolina there were 35 lynchings,

Characteristics Of Understanding The Culture And Society...
The mother art is architecture. Without an architecture of our own we have no soul of our own
civilization.
Frank Lloyd Wright
Architecture is an important aspect of understanding the culture and society of any civilisation.
Today I will be looking what similarities and differences can be seen between the Minoan
architecture from 1900BC to 1150BC and the Roman architecture from 27BC to 180AD. I ll be
mainly focusing on the palaces of Knossos and Phaistos of Minoan, Crete and The Colosseum ad
the Pantheon of Rome.
The architecture of Bronze Age Crete seems to be defined by the archaeological discoveries of
Knossos, Phaistos, Maila, Zakros and Palekastro. These four palaces and one town are the only
major pieces of Minoan building from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Occupation continued in Knossos until 1200 BC when it was destroyed by fire, Knossos
appears to have been kept intact until the fire as a sort of headquarters while all the other palaces
were destroyed. The ruins we have today from discoveries made by Sir Arthur Evans in 1900 AD
are the remains from after the Palace of Knossos was burnt down. Knossos is a clear example of
monumental (of great importance or size) Minoan architecture.
There are several major courts that make up the Knossos palace; these include the large,
rectangular Central Court, the West Court, the West and East Wings, the theater, royal chambers,
shrines and the Throne Room. Like most Minoan buildings the Central Court seems to be the
main focus of the building. Stone was the primary building material, but also included a timber
frame for flexibility. Mortar linked the stones together and wood was used for all the columns,
doors, windows and roofs. The interior walls were plastered with clay and often had bright
frescoes painted on them. The floors were generally beaten down earth, but sometimes had small
pebbles stuck into them. Lighting and ventilation was primarily utilized through light wells, vertical
airshafts that ran the full height of the buildings. Drainage was controlled through a series of
terracotta pipes and stone ductwork. The best preserved section of this drainage system is below
the East Wing. Polythyron doors are common feature of Minoan palaces and Evans

John Deere is an iconic one hundred and seventy seven year old company and maker of
agricultural machinery headquartered in Moline, Illinois. What started as a small business
operation has sprung into a multibillion dollar global operation. In 2013 alone, the company
boasted sales of $37.80 billion. Founded in 1837 by a blacksmith, the company originally only
built plows, and did not assemble their first tractor until they purchased a small tractor company,
Waterloo Boy, in 1918. Now the green and yellow machinery is recognized around the world.

The collapse in the housing market and a global recession dramatically reduced demand for
construction equipment. The current global economic state is slowly progressing, which is a
positive indicator for the industry. Increasing farm income over the next five years will most likely
boost demand for agricultural and turf machinery, but farmers will probably remain cautious with
their purchasing decisions. Therefore, domestic sales will continue to be static. However,
increasing demand in South America, China, India, and other global emerging markets is expected
to significantly boost international sales of all product lines over the next few years as population
and income growth in these emerging markets will drive this trend.
In an effort to analyze the company s place within the industry and to identify John Deere s
organizational strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities and threats in the industry, we ve

The Chrysalids
The Chrysalids is a story set in the future. In the story, the normal people living in Waknuks,
where David came from, were searching for the abnormal, or the mutants and tried to kill them.
Throughout the story, they were very eager to look for David and the rest of his telepathy group to
investigate their special powers or even, to killthem. The reason of them really doing so was not
because of that the telepathies were actually different, but is due to that they were scared that the
telepathies would rule the place as they had special, extraordinary abilities, which normal people
did not have. Other than that, normal people certainly did not deserve the rights to destroy mutants

You my own son
Were calling upon the Devil to give you another hand!
You blasphemed, boy.
You found fault with the Norm. (Wyndham 26)
David s dad strongly disapproved his son to even think about being a mutant. It was a serious sin to
want to be or think to be a human imaged against God s will. It was obvious that the Waknuks were
injustice to the mutants.
Being rude and wanting to destroy the mutants was not fair as well. This can be considered as
discrimination. Just because they have physical or mental disabilities, or that they do not look
how a perfect human should look, they do not deserve to be treated poorly. It is not humane to
send all the mutants to live in Fringes and leave them with a poor living condition. Fringes is a
place with a relatively higher level of radiation, so deviation was quite common in the place.
The Waknuks also think the fringes people (mutants) were a threat to them because they have
made raids in civilized areas for food. Children are told that the fringes eat people. This is
obviously a story that parents made up to scare them to keep them in line, and I think these stories
are told mostly because of the fear because mutants are different. One matter that led to that kind
of horror is because the old people experienced Tribulation, and they were afraid that this serious
punishment from God is going to happen again. That is why they tried in every possible method

The Debate On Nature Vs Nurture Essay
As the dubious history of the debate on nature vs nurture continues to be a controversy, more and
more psychologists start to rise from both sides of the argument. The earliest evidence can be
traced back to the time of John Locke, who believes that our minds are blank slates and only
experience can write override it. Despite the main focus of the issue being how environment
transact to influence development, psychologists today continue to argue on the issue of nature vs
nurture. Intelligence is more of a concept rather than a specific measure of something. To be able
to argue for nature or nurture, one needs to understand what intelligence really means. By
definition, it refers to our mental quality consisting of the ability to learn from experience, solve
problems, and use knowledge to adapt to new situations. This concept covers the fields of many
different aspects of the obstacles we meet in life, and what we are trying to figure out is which side
of the argument can support and explain how the idea of intelligence is actually produced. Although
some correlational studies show that nature corresponds greatly with peoples intelligence levels, it
does not prove causation unless the correlation level is extremely high (somewhere around +0.8
+1.0). However, many factors and ideas can be used to prove that nurture has a bigger impact on
peoples intelligence levels. Through the parenting, education, and social economic and cultural
background, it is evident that nurture is

Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Essay
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia is a well known autosomal recessive disorder and the vast
majority, approximately 95%, of cases are due to a deficiency of 21 alpha hydroxylase. The other
common type of CAH is caused by a deficiency of 11 beta hydroxylase. In both types of the
disorder, the adrenal gland is unable to produce sufficient amounts of cortisoland aldosterone. CAH
is estimated to manifest in 1 of every 15,000 live births. In the United States, the prevalence of the
disorder is lower in African American children in comparison to Caucasians. Moreover, the
decreased synthesis of cortisol results in diminished negative feedback of adrenocorticotropic
hormone(ATCH) and over secretion of ACTH. This pathological increase of ACTH in an attempt

Analysis Of The Garden Of Earthly Delights
Art is all around us and whether we notice it or not we are always evaluating, deconstructing, and
deciding on if we like it or not. The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch is a triptych
done in the Renaissance period. A triptych is a painting or relief carving that has three different
panels and are hinged together side by side. I first came across this paintingin my art history class
in high school and from then on I loved it due to all the imagery, colors, and the overall meaning
that it had. Ever since then this artwork has left a big imprint and got me to think about art as
much more than a picture, but to look at it as a whole and analyze it. This painting always
seemed interesting and intriguing for a couple of reasons. There are many themes going on, the
colors are very monochrome but yet look vivid and life like, and it has a very deep meaning
with the themes of mortality, sin, and shows the end results for evil doings. The triptych has
three different panels and all three have their own story to tell. When the triptych is closed and
both left and right sections are shut you see the world in tones of gray or neutral colors. At the
uppermost left corner of the closed sections you can see a depiction of God looking down at the
world with an open book in his hands. The first one on the left tells the story of how God
introduced Adam to Eve. They are shown to be in a beautiful and surreal looking location which is
thought to be paradise. Adam, Eve, and God

Catherine Susan Kitty Genovese was a New York City woman who was stabbed to death and
repeatedly raped near her home. Investigations recorded 38 witnesses, none of whom attempted
to assist Kitty personally and only one whom called the police, afterwards stating I didn t want
to get involved The incident of Kitty Genovese s death exemplifies the extraordinary lengths that
humans can go in an attempt to prevent self loss even at the cost of another s far more severe
personal loss. By not acting these neighbors failed to stand up for their moral code and in doing
so failed to act on behalf of what they presumably believed to be right at the cost of another s
life, this also establishes the ability of self interest to not only drive conflict in the way that self
interest allowed the event to occur on the side of the attacker, who was likely motivated by lust or
anger, but to also discourage opposing action in bystanders out of a fear of personal loss. The
actions the witnesses of Kitty s fate took mirror the attitude of a large degree of the human

There are three main stages of language development and neuro typical children will follow the
same general sequence of language development, although of course there is variation in the age in
which this happens for each individual child. The first stage is the pre linguistic/prattle stage and
this stage lasts for much of the child’s first year. Even within this stage, there are several
milestones. Amazingly, at 2 months old, human infants can produce all of the linguistic sounds that
the human voice is capable of. These same ranges of sounds are made by children all over the

Disadvantages Of Online Dating
Adults, we live much busier lives than generations before us. Finding a person to date, marry
and build a family with is simply is not done the same was as traditionally done. Many couples
met in school and married young. Finding a mate was easy with classmates and friends of
classmates. However, these day couples are not getting married as young as previous
generations. With women especially, students leave high school to pursue a career by attending
college and traveling the world. Today, young people are looking to experience all they can out
of life while they are young therefore the average age of a young American s first marriage is
rising steadily. When a young American begins to settle down by finding a career, buying a home

Essay on Pros and Cons of the Atkins and South Beach Diets
Pros and Cons of the Atkins and South Beach Diets
People consider many factors when choosing a diet: what best suites their needs, how it fits with
their body type, and what the diet entails, are all aspects taken into account. The Atkins and South
Beach diets are plans that take different approaches in style but end up having similar results in
the end. Atkins serves to eliminate carbohydrates and focus on more protein enriched foods; this
idea sells because it offers a way to lose weight fast. The South Beach diet on the other hand is a
method that takes a more balanced approach; it aims to teach people about the good carbohydrates
and the good fats versus the bad. Because these diets have both pros and cons, it ... Show more

This idea is one of many involving the pros and cons of the Atkins plan in comparison to diets
similar to it.
Another reason why so many people choose the Atkins plan is because dieters are allowed to
consume good tasting, fatty foods, during the induction phase of the diet. However, as tempting
as these food options may be, the end result shows an increase in cholesterol that is proven to
have a negative effect on the heart and body as a whole. Furthermore, another aspect of the Atkins
diet is the fact that it is proven to generate weight loss, however, the drawback is that the loss is
only for a short amount of time, and not easily maintained. The likelihood of losing the weight and
keeping it off is something that researchers are still trying to show as a possibility (Harper, 1). But
there are alternatives to the Atkins plan, the most common of which is Dr. Arthur Agatston s South
Beach diet. While Atkins serves to eliminate almost all carbohydrates and replace them with foods
high in fat, the South Beach diet attempts to simply teach people how to eat the good carbohydrates
and fats, and eliminate the bad. Not only does Dr. Agatston want to teach people the correct way to
eat, he also reinstates the importance of exercise intermixed with a healthy food regimen. Similar to
the Atkins diet, South Beach starts with a two week induction phase where

Cardiomyopathy Case Study
Cardiac abnormalities are often detected during physical examination of hyperthyroid
cats1
. These abnormalities are diverse and can appear as subtle, clinically inconsequential
myocardial changes but also as severe changes which could be associated with the development
of heart failure leading to death. Often times, it is difficult to determine whether cardiac
abnormalities that persist after the treatment and resolution of hyperthyroidism are the result of
the hyperthyroidism or a primary cardiac disease1
.
The most common form of primary myocardial disease in cats is hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy (HCM), which is the hypertrophy of a nondilated ventricle that occurs when
there is no metabolic stimuli or altered blood flow such as hyperthyroidism ... Show more content

Over time, cats may develop an enlargement or thickening of the left ventricle2
. Both lesions of
the heart may result in echocardiographic changes which are indistinguishable from one another,
and therefore echocardiogram is not always a useful tool in differentiating between primary and
secondary cardiomyopathy.
This paper evaluated plasma concentrations of two cardiac biomarkers; N terminal
probrain natriuretic peptide (NT proBNP) and cardiac troponin I (cTNI). NT proBNP is secreted
in response to myocardial stretch, and cTNI is released from the cytosol of damaged
cardiomyocytes2
. These biomarkers were evaluated in the plasma to identify if a possible
correlation between plasma concentrations of the biomarkers and cardiomyopathies existed.
Previous studies in hyperthyroid humans have shown that increased plasma concentrations of
NT proBNP and T4, which stimulates BPN release from cardiomyocytes, indicating a change in
the heart due to hyperthyroidism3
. No such study has been done to compare plasma

To Kill A Mockingbird Analysis Essay
Racism is a part of human nature; everyone judges their surroundings and the people living in it
through a secret lens. Since the beginning of time racism has occurred, but during the Great
Depression this lens was most clear to all. This goes hand in hand with the story of To Kill a
Mockingbird , written by Harper Lee. This book is based on Lee s childhood during the
Depression. Some of the characters in the story are portrayed in her actual life; Atticus is based off
her father who was also a lawyer, Dill was in reference of her friend Truman Capote, and Jean
Louise is referring to Lee herself telling the story of her life experiences (Baddeley). Throughout the
novel, Lee expresses the events that went on around her during the... Show more content on

Not only do Lee s accomplishments for the book interpret ethos, within the novel there are quotes
that illustrate credibility. One speech, in particular, is the one Atticus gives in trail while talking to
Mayella Ewell about tempting a negro . Atticus stated, She was white, and she tempted a Negro.
She did something that in our society is unspeakable: she kissed a black man (Lee 272). By stating
this in front of the jury, it shows his authority over the people to pull their attention to the situation
at hand; along with the ethos used in that statement, Atticus uses emotion to make the jury feel the
pain. Pathos is yet another appeal Harper Lee incorporated to allure the audience to understand
what she went through when she was younger.
Throughout To Kill a Mockingbird, Lee applies pathos to encourage the readers to feel the
emotions she faced during her childhood. Harper Lee tells the story through Jean Louise s
standpoint, a young girl living in the time of the Depression. By doing this, the readers see more of
an innocent perspective and observe the emotions Jean and the people withstand, midst the
Depression to emotionally provoke the reader to feel bad for what they went through. One event in
particular that draws in the reader is the final speech made by Atticus at the end of the trial against
Tom Robinson. Atticus mentions guilt and pity within this final hearing to expose to the people
why the crime was committed. He chooses to pull the jury and

Kingdom Of God Study Guide
Joseph Ratzinger, also known as Pope Benedict XVI, wrote a book, Jesus of Nazareth: From
Baptism In The Jordan To The Transfiguration. In the book, there is a chapter entitled, The
Gospel Of The Kingdom Of God. In the Bible, Jesus often spoke about the Kingdom of God.
There are four questions I will attempt to answer. 1. What is the Kingdom of God? 2. How does
the Kingdom of God appear in the Old Testament? 3. How do Jesuswords and deeds relate to the
Kingdom of God? and 4. How does the concept Kingdom of God connect to the Old and New
Testament? In the Biblein the gospel of Mark 1:14 15 it says, After John had been arrested, Jesus
came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God: This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom... Show

His kingdom on earth. Yet, Jesus said that the kingdom had come when he preached. God lives

the past, present, and future. I believe that all three views of the kingdom of God are valid,
though it is all because of the first view of Christ Himself. Christ was, is, and is to be. Christ was

He lives in the Church in the Real Presence of the Eucharist. The kingdom of God is without

Nerds And Geeks Perception Of Masculinity In Society
When we hear the words nerds and geeks, it is often those studious, witty, socially awkward,
scrawny and wimpy or sometimes chubby guys that may come to mind. What purpose does your
average geek serve to society? Beyond the fact of knowledge some may find useless, making great
group partners (carrying the majority of group workload), and being the butt end of endless jokes
and bullying, what importance do they hold? Society yells without speaking that we need more
men compared to nerds and geeks. It s something about being intelligent, awkward, and the
complete opposite of your typical ladies manthat challenges the perception of masculinityto society.

Media places the belief that anything that challenges masculinity or goes against the ideal
masculinity is in fact not masculine at all. This creates the belief that anything associated with
femininity is not to be associated with masculinity. Society teaches boys that showing emotion is
for girls, not always being tough makes you weak and less of man, and that certain feelings,
ideas, and activities are off limits because they aren t deemed manly enough. What society is
really teaching our boys and men is that being yourself is never okay or enough if it anything

The aqueous solution of silver nitrate, AgNOв‚ѓ, when added to the aqueous solution of potassium
chloride, forms a bright white precipitate of silver chloride. Using the technique of gravimetric
analysis, the precipitates were extracted from the liquid onto filter paper through the use of vacuum
filtration. The purpose of this aspect of the experiment is to be able to to calculate the molar mass
of the unknown compound precipitate to compare to the known compound of KCl. Due to there
being excess compound remaining in the vacuum, centrifuge tubes were utilized to further extract
the compound from the liquid. A centrifuge works by spinning the substance at a high speed,

When holding the wire in the Bunsen flame, which had been previously dipped in the unknown
solution, the edge of the flame appeared to emit a pale green color, which would indicate that our
unknown sample would contain the element barium. This conclusion was incorrect and upon
redoing the Flame test and making the unknown solution more concentrated by adding less water, it
was found that the edge of the flame was actually pale violet in color, indicating that the element in
our sample was potassium. Additionally, in week 1, our group encountered another error while
analyzing the properties of our unknown sample through the anion tests. The two cation tests;
Flame and Ammonium concluded that the first element in our compound was in fact potassium.
The problem arose when conducting the anion test to determine whether the unknown sample was
additionally composed of either a sulfate or a chloride. Initially, our sample tested positive for both
sulfate and chloride due the formations of white precipitates. These results indicated that the
unknown sample would be potassium sulfate, but redoing the experimental test again led to the
actual conclusion of a negative result for sulfate due to the absence of a white precipitate. With only
a positive result for chloride, our unknown sample was in fact potassium chloride. Human error

Relational Database Model And No Sql Database System
COMPARISON OF RELATIONAL DATABASE MODEL AND NO SQL DATABASE SYSTEM:
The Relational database and the No SQL database are both appropriate database methods
depending on the way they are being implemented and the purpose of the business for which they
are being incorporated. However, both the database approaches have distinct wide variety of
characteristics, based on which they can be compared and contrasted in the following way.
STRUCTURE OF DATA: The data structure of a relational databasecomprises of table structure.
Every table is identified by a unique name or label. The data tables are described as the
collection of rows and columns. Each row of the table is known as the record and each column is
known as the field of the specific data table. All the data sets are well organized and logical linked
to each other through definite and unique relationships. A table, therefore can also be defined as the
structured collection of relationships . The fundamental aim of developing No SQL database
systems is to easily and effectively handle vast quantity of data or information in advanced web
scale applications. In order to achieve this purpose, the No SQL systems are designed as the
schema free database systems. There are different modes to define the No SQL databases that
typically depend on the requirements of the data that has to be managed. The main No SQL data
structures include column database, key value store database, document store database, graph

The Battle Of The Gettysburg War
The Gettysburg War went down in history as a War fought over slavery, yet Shaara did not want
to portray this reasoning, he wisely kept this a broad area. Shaara researched historical events and
stories to guide the accurate information written, he maintained as much truth as he could, Both
authors present fascinating scenarios of events we know took place but cannot read much about
in actual history (Skarstedt 452). By providing outstanding respect towards both Union and
Confederate the book remains open and unbiased so that a reader is able to portray what they
may have been the war s reasoning. The ultimate respect towards our soldiers was achieved in not

in White 1095). As Shaara is able to use accurate details he also is able to, within reasons,
express the depth of the character s actions, Shaara relies on historical records to describe actual
events and contributes an artistic license to his rendering of such events (White 1093). The
character s names are historically accurate yet Shaara personalizes them with what he artistically
felt was their personality and how they behaved based on actual historical reports. The factual
events of the battle such as Little Round Top, Pickett s Charge, and the confederate spy spotting
the Union are all real events. The majority of detail being accurate to history in Shaara s novel
gives the reader the twist of reading something that is overall true, despite whether the personalities
and verbiage is accurate. Shaara is able to convey the overall emotion and thoughts of the armies
and soldier s personal feelings of the main characters involved. During a scene Pickett s men are
discussing the cause and reasoning behind the war and later Chamberlain is able to relate to their
discussion with confederate prisoners. The confederate prisoners don t seem to comprehend what
everyone is fighting for, Chamberlain and Longstreet are stumbled in thought of the exact cause. In

Tennessee Williams play A Streetcar Named Desire and Zhang Yimou s film Raise the Red Lantern both explore the social constraints that have historically been placed on the female gender. Set in 1940s New Orleans and 1920s Northern China respectively, inherent in both texts is an androcentric and patriarchal society that can be observed to impact the protagonists , Blanche Duboisand Songlian s, psychological capacities to a substantial extent. Songlian submits herself to the fate of existing solely to serve a man for whom she exhibits no emotional attachment. The fact that Blanche and Songlian saw prostitution and the concubine role respectively as their only option is a reflection of the impact on their psyches by their respective society s diminished conceptions of women. Raise the Red Lantern and A Streetcar Named Desire examine the way the power struggles affect the protagonists interactions and the motives behind these. The power plays, manipulation and revenge between the four oppressed women. In Raise the Red Lantern are driven by jealousy. Songlian was initially uncomfortable in her relationship with Chen, exhibited during their first night together when her one request to him was to put out the lights. In terms of surgical procedures, much of society refrains from using chloroform as an anesthetic due to its life threatening effects on the human body and this chemical is not commonly used by the average individual within society, so its absence will be barely noticed from the daily lives of Americans. Yet, despite the fact that chloroform is an environmental hazard and is barely used by the average individual, its is acknowledged that the chemical is also used as a reagent and a solvent by factories in order to produce other chemicals. The hydrogen attached to carbon within this organic compound allows it to participate in hydrogen bonding and serve as a solvent for pesticides, fats, rubber, and oils. Next, chloroform also serves as a reagent (a compound added to a system to cause a chemical reaction, that is not necessarily consumed throughout the reaction), as it usually reacts with aqueous sodium hydroxide in order to produce the compound CCl2, which can then be inserted into the bonds of other compounds to create new substances. As a result, it can be noted that the economy, specifically the rubber and pesticide industries, will be hindered for a short amount of time. It is only a short amount of time, as there are many replacements available for chloroform that will result in the same or similar chemicals that factories want to produce. These alternatives include the chemical dimethoxyethane, which can replaced chloroform s role as a solvent due to its ability to mix in all proportions with a variety of solutes, including water and ethanol, and ethyl acetate, which can replace chloroform s role as a reagent to react with sodium hydroxide, as the reactivity of its elements are similar to the elements found within chloroform. As such, many of the possible economical harms can be easily repaired through the simple substitution of other chemicals that do not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Kierkegaard Sacrifice Although remembered by many as foremost a philosopher, SГёren Kierkegaard was quite the theologian in his time, with his own unique approach to theology and Christianity in general. In a time that was ruled by objective methodology in every aspect of acquiring and summarizing knowledge, Kierkegaard sought to bring Christianityback into the realm of the subjective, thereby making it much more interactive and personal. What this paper focuses on is Kierkegaard s requirement of sacrifice that all Christians must be willing to make in order to be considered true Christians, followed by both a critique and a praise for his contagious notion. Are you not a Dane...do you not perform you duties at the office like a conscientious civil servant; are you not a good servant of a Christian nation...so of course you must be a Christian. Kierkegaard loathed how cold and detached the Christian faith had become, so he saw it fit that he remind people what being a Christian truly meant. In his famous work Fear and Trembling, Kierkegaard declares that no person has a right to delude others into the belief that faith is something of no great significance, or that it is an easy matter, whereas it is the greatest and most difficult of all things. The difficulty of faith lies in the requirement of sacrifice. The story of Abraham s near sacrifice of his beloved son, Isaac, is what Kierkegaard utilizes to demonstrate how costly faith in God is. Here is a man, who after seventy years of waiting for God s promise of offspring finally received his son, is commanded by God to slay his promised son with no stated reason for doing so. I grew up in the unit, learning as I went and increasing my responsibilities as I gained rank. Sometimes I had a Soldier or two for whom I was responsible. I mentored them, guided their activities, and pushed them to become better leaders. Then there were other periods where I wasn t necessarily responsible for troops. My leadershipdevelopment took the form of mission management and initiative, unit training, or independent project development. I also began to notice the importance of organizational leadership and perspective. By the time I left the unit as a Staff Sergeant, having also undergone significant personal growth and maturing, I came to see leadership not so much as a set of tools to get things done, but an attitude or a mindset that must maintain. In my current assignment, it is my responsibility to project and promote the Army s leadership values every day. This role has significantly informed my more polished leadership philosophy in the last year. What I have found is that when I approach my work with the right mindset and regard myself as a leader in every moment, the actual tasks of any mission are simply accomplished at, or usually above, the standard. Numerical Modeling And Validation Of Neo Hookean Materials Student number: s3378766 Project title: Numerical modelling and validation of Neo Hookean materials in an automotive design application 1. BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY 1.1BACKGROUND Cauchy elastic materials, also known as simple elastic materials are a type of material in which the stress at each point can only be determined from the state of deformation in which it is currently in with respect to a arbitrary co ordinate system [1]. The fact that these stresses depend solely on the state of deformation means that these stresses, which cause work, can depend on the path in which the material deforms. This translates to the material being conservative, also known as a hyperplastic material (e.g. rubber). Hyper elastic material, also know as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Generally, the hydraulics pressure is generated from either the geroter (generated rotor), or a rotary vane pump, which are driven by the engine of the vehicle. The turning of the wheels is done by a hydraulic cylinder which has a force applied to it from a hydraulic cylinder, which is directly controlled by valves allowing for flow according to the drivers steering. The more force applied by the driver allows for a grater flow in the hydraulic system thus, allowing for a greater displacements of the steering heel, leading to an increased turning rate of the vehicle. Considering hydraulic pumps are designed to in effect only during positive displacement the speed of the engine, directly relates to the flow rate of the hydraulic pump meaning that at high speeds the cars steering operates easier and faster compared to low speeds. The equivalent linear stiffness of the dust boot covers is important for the feel of the steering, and the packaging constraints in that area are restrictive so a trade off needs to be found between the maximum diameter (minimum stiffness) of the concertina folded cover and the effect of the stiffness on the steering. 1.2 LITERATURE REVIEW Thin wall structures comprised of hyper elastic materials are commonly found throughout many engineering disciplines (i.e. mechanical and biomechanical engineering). Robbery, burglary, and household theft oppressions had been dropping by a rate of about 4% per year from 1993 2006, but fell by an ordinary of 6 to 7% per year for the duration of the Great Recession. This is not for the reason that crimeis distinct to economic situations, but for the reason that crime is correlated to so many other things. Criminologists Richard Rosenfeld and Robert Fornango propose that consumer confidence and the view of economic poverty may have an explanation for as much as one third of the topical decrease in robbery and property crime. On the other hand, despite the fact that economic recessions and consumer sentiment are in the cards to play some character, they cannot account for the extensive and firm drops, crime rates have been falling for twenty years. Today I will be looking what similarities and differences can be seen between the Minoan architecture from 1900BC to 1150BC and the Roman architecture from 27BC to 180AD. I ll be mainly focusing on the palaces of Knossos and Phaistos of Minoan, Crete and The Colosseum ad the Pantheon of Rome. The architecture of Bronze Age Crete seems to be defined by the archaeological discoveries of Knossos, Phaistos, Maila, Zakros and Palekastro. Occupation continued in Knossos until 1200 BC when it was destroyed by fire, Knossos appears to have been kept intact until the fire as a sort of headquarters while all the other palaces were destroyed. The ruins we have today from discoveries made by Sir Arthur Evans in 1900 AD are the remains from after the Palace of Knossos was burnt down. Knossos is a clear example of monumental (of great importance or size) Minoan architecture. There are several major courts that make up the Knossos palace; these include the large, rectangular Central Court, the West Court, the West and East Wings, the theater, royal chambers, shrines and the Throne Room. Like most Minoan buildings the Central Court seems to be the main focus of the building. Stone was the primary building material, but also included a timber frame for flexibility. Mortar linked the stones together and wood was used for all the columns, doors, windows and roofs. The interior walls were plastered with clay and often had bright frescoes painted on them. The floors were generally beaten down earth, but sometimes had small pebbles stuck into them. Lighting and ventilation was primarily utilized through light wells, vertical airshafts that ran the full height of the buildings. Drainage was controlled through a series of terracotta pipes and stone ductwork. The best preserved section of this drainage system is below the East Wing. Therefore, domestic sales will continue to be static. However, increasing demand in South America, China, India, and other global emerging markets is expected to significantly boost international sales of all product lines over the next few years as population and income growth in these emerging markets will drive this trend. Throughout the story, they were very eager to look for David and the rest of his telepathy group to investigate their special powers or even, to killthem. The reason of them really doing so was not because of that the telepathies were actually different, but is due to that they were scared that the telepathies would rule the place as they had special, extraordinary abilities, which normal people did not have. It was obvious that the Waknuks were injustice to the mutants. Being rude and wanting to destroy the mutants was not fair as well. This can be considered as discrimination. Just because they have physical or mental disabilities, or that they do not look how a perfect human should look, they do not deserve to be treated poorly. It is not humane to send all the mutants to live in Fringes and leave them with a poor living condition. Fringes is a place with a relatively higher level of radiation, so deviation was quite common in the place. The Waknuks also think the fringes people (mutants) were a threat to them because they have made raids in civilized areas for food. Children are told that the fringes eat people. This is obviously a story that parents made up to scare them to keep them in line, and I think these stories are told mostly because of the fear because mutants are different. • 27. The Debate On Nature Vs Nurture Essay As the dubious history of the debate on nature vs nurture continues to be a controversy, more and more psychologists start to rise from both sides of the argument. The earliest evidence can be traced back to the time of John Locke, who believes that our minds are blank slates and only experience can write override it. Despite the main focus of the issue being how environment transact to influence development, psychologists today continue to argue on the issue of nature vs nurture. Intelligence is more of a concept rather than a specific measure of something. To be able to argue for nature or nurture, one needs to understand what intelligence really means. By definition, it refers to our mental quality consisting of the ability to learn from experience, solve problems, and use knowledge to adapt to new situations. This concept covers the fields of many different aspects of the obstacles we meet in life, and what we are trying to figure out is which side of the argument can support and explain how the idea of intelligence is actually produced. Although some correlational studies show that nature corresponds greatly with peoples intelligence levels, it does not prove causation unless the correlation level is extremely high (somewhere around +0.8 +1.0). However, many factors and ideas can be used to prove that nurture has a bigger impact on peoples intelligence levels. The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch is a triptych done in the Renaissance period. A triptych is a painting or relief carving that has three different panels and are hinged together side by side. I first came across this paintingin my art history class in high school and from then on I loved it due to all the imagery, colors, and the overall meaning that it had. Ever since then this artwork has left a big imprint and got me to think about art as much more than a picture, but to look at it as a whole and analyze it. This painting always seemed interesting and intriguing for a couple of reasons. There are many themes going on, the colors are very monochrome but yet look vivid and life like, and it has a very deep meaning with the themes of mortality, sin, and shows the end results for evil doings. The triptych has three different panels and all three have their own story to tell. When the triptych is closed and both left and right sections are shut you see the world in tones of gray or neutral colors. At the uppermost left corner of the closed sections you can see a depiction of God looking down at the world with an open book in his hands. Since the beginning of time racism has occurred, but during the Great Depression this lens was most clear to all. Some of the characters in the story are portrayed in her actual life; Atticus is based off her father who was also a lawyer, Dill was in reference of her friend Truman Capote, and Jean Louise is referring to Lee herself telling the story of her life experiences (Baddeley). She did something that in our society is unspeakable: she kissed a black man (Lee 272). By stating this in front of the jury, it shows his authority over the people to pull their attention to the situation at hand; along with the ethos used in that statement, Atticus uses emotion to make the jury feel the pain. Pathos is yet another appeal Harper Lee incorporated to allure the audience to understand what she went through when she was younger. Throughout To Kill a Mockingbird, Lee applies pathos to encourage the readers to feel the emotions she faced during her childhood. Harper Lee tells the story through Jean Louise s standpoint, a young girl living in the time of the Depression. By doing this, the readers see more of an innocent perspective and observe the emotions Jean and the people withstand, midst the Depression to emotionally provoke the reader to feel bad for what they went through. What is the Kingdom of God? 2. How does the Kingdom of God appear in the Old Testament? 3. How do Jesuswords and deeds relate to the Kingdom of God? and 4. Yet, Jesus said that the kingdom had come when he preached. God lives outside of time. God is. In the Old Testament, God said, I Am . Jesus is sovereign and reigns in the past, present, and future. Christ was among us, He lives within us and we consume Him internally when partaking of the Eucharist, and He lives in the Church in the Real Presence of the Eucharist. Using the technique of gravimetric analysis, the precipitates were extracted from the liquid onto filter paper through the use of vacuum filtration. The purpose of this aspect of the experiment is to be able to to calculate the molar mass of the unknown compound precipitate to compare to the known compound of KCl. Due to there being excess compound remaining in the vacuum, centrifuge tubes were utilized to further extract the compound from the liquid. A centrifuge works by spinning the substance at a high speed, working to separate the precipitate from the water. The centrifugal force... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When holding the wire in the Bunsen flame, which had been previously dipped in the unknown solution, the edge of the flame appeared to emit a pale green color, which would indicate that our unknown sample would contain the element barium. This conclusion was incorrect and upon redoing the Flame test and making the unknown solution more concentrated by adding less water, it was found that the edge of the flame was actually pale violet in color, indicating that the element in our sample was potassium. Additionally, in week 1, our group encountered another error while analyzing the properties of our unknown sample through the anion tests. The two cation tests; Flame and Ammonium concluded that the first element in our compound was in fact potassium. The problem arose when conducting the anion test to determine whether the unknown sample was additionally composed of either a sulfate or a chloride. Initially, our sample tested positive for both sulfate and chloride due the formations of white precipitates. These results indicated that the unknown sample would be potassium sulfate, but redoing the experimental test again led to the actual conclusion of a negative result for sulfate due to the absence of a white precipitate. With only a positive result for chloride, our unknown sample was in fact potassium chloride. Human error throughout the process of determining the weight of the precipitate with vacuum ... Relational Database Model And No Sql Database System COMPARISON OF RELATIONAL DATABASE MODEL AND NO SQL DATABASE SYSTEM: The Relational database and the No SQL database are both appropriate database methods depending on the way they are being implemented and the purpose of the business for which they are being incorporated. However, both the database approaches have distinct wide variety of characteristics, based on which they can be compared and contrasted in the following way. STRUCTURE OF DATA: The data structure of a relational databasecomprises of table structure. Every table is identified by a unique name or label. The data tables are described as the collection of rows and columns. Each row of the table is known as the record and each column is known as the field of the specific data table. All the data sets are well organized and logical linked to each other through definite and unique relationships. A table, therefore can also be defined as the structured collection of relationships . The fundamental aim of developing No SQL database systems is to easily and effectively handle vast quantity of data or information in advanced web scale applications. In order to achieve this purpose, the No SQL systems are designed as the schema free database systems. There are different modes to define the No SQL databases that typically depend on the requirements of the data that has to be managed.
